Thanks Cajou Creamery for making me once again Scream for Ice Cream (Now Cajou Cream)! The new space is just what downtown Baltimore needs. The owners are very helpful and friendly. The whole family gets involved with suggestions of items to purchase and try. I will make this apart of my regular routine stops from now on. A must try; you will love it! Such a friendly inviting vibe!
Spring colors at the end of summer as we prepare for the fall. Flavor for all year round! I throughly enjoyed my Strawberry Cardamom milkshake from Cajou Creamery. The light and delicious flavor of it works for this gorgeous Saturday. They have a variety of flavors that you can get as scoops, in pints, or in the form of a milkshake. While the inside of the story itself is quaint and doesnt allow for indoor eating, there are a few tables and chairs outdoors to sit at and chat while you enjoy your dessert.BONUS: This black-owned vegan creamery is located next to a black-owned vegan juice bar that also sells a limited selection of food and a variety of amazing juices!Translation: Get here now!
My first experience having plant based ice cream. The owners went out of their way to make that experience enjoyable. I tried a verity of flavors (the pear flavor was creamy, light taste and smooth but not available in pint sizes) but I settled on the Sweet Potato Pie…Excellent choice!!! The owner said they will be opening a eatery soon, and packaging some of the speciality ice cream flavors. The only downside is limited parking and no door dash service. You can call in the order and have curb side service, but that stops you from going in and sampling the flavors... but it is worth the ride downtown Baltimore…highly recommend supporting this Black owned business 👍🏾
I dont write many reviews but this spot deserves one! I always get their Latte with Macadamia Nut Milk and it is top tier. I have yet to try their ice creams but they let you try each flavor and they can make a milk shake out of every flavor of ice cream they have. The ice cream is handmade and dairy free! ALSO THE OWNERS ARE AMAZING. You can feel the warmth upon entering and they are extremely patient and kind. I love this place so much.
My family of 6 is new to the area and we stopped in here after looking up local ice cream shops. We were not disappointed! Actually, we were pleasantly surprised! Every single flavor was delicious (they allow you to sample some before choosing)! 2 of my children got the cookie sandwich with horchata ice cream, the rest of us had baklava, blueberry cheesecake, Mexican cacao, and horchata and they were all amazing! My 10 year old daughter (who is pescatarian) was shocked to learn that it was all plant based! The owners are great and I love that they are not just about their business but also looking to help build the area.Thank you for a great experience! Well be back soon!
This is the best ice cream I have ever had. Bananas Foster (brand new & INCREDIBLE) & Mango are my absolute favorite. You have to check out the shop on Howard St as well!
Best vegan ice cream shop in Baltimore 😋 that I know of. Plus its Black 🖤 owned and women led which is a plus for me. Love the atmosphere and vibe of the shop they are very friendly. Definitely will be going back for all my ice cream needs. The sweet potato ice cream was very delicious too. Tasted just like grandmas sweet potato pie.
I could eat their ice cream every day!! Perfect for vegans and those of us who are severely lactose intolerant. The last flavor I tried was French poached pear. So good!!!
The ice cream was great, tried the guava and cheese, the baklava, the blueberry cheesecake and the the French poached pear. They were all delicious but the guava and cheese was my favorite. The owner was super personable and polite. Will definitely be back.
Fantastic frozen treats, fun vibe here in this up and coming part of the city. You pretty much haven’t lived until you’ve had cashew based ice cream, and specifically THIS ice cream. Flavor, texture all on point and just delightful. Fun outside seating, people hanging out, friendly owners chatting up the visitors. Yummmmm !!!
It was delicious! the space is super cute and the owner was very nice. they have a lovely little seating area outside. cant wait to go back.
Wonderful plant based ice cream that (1) isnt coconut based so no coconut flavor overpowering the intended flavor and (2) is just as good as dairy ice cream! I had the guava cheese flavor and it was wonderful. I also tried the baklava and horchata which were also excellent. Highly recommend.
I’ve tried dozens of dairy-free ice creams and this was the best by far. Incredible flavor options, a beautiful shop, and plenty of outdoor seating. I absolutely recommend it and will be telling everyone I know to stop by!
Great product. Super chill atmosphere. Friendly service. Best thing on Howard Street. Customer for life.
This is a gem. Delicious and unusual ice cream flavors, homemade waffle cones, and thicckk milkshakes. I got a strawberry cardamom with horchata ice cream as the base and it was excellent. Its a family business and they seem like great people. The storefront is teeny so be prepared to wait in line outside!
The most delicious dairy-free ice cream Ive ever had! So excited that they now have a storefront, I cant wait to visit.
If this was even regular ice cream, it would be really really good stuff. The fact that this is entirely plant based is nuts. By far the best non-dairy ice cream i’ve ever had. I had a scoop of the blueberry cheesecake cream fyi, really really great stuff.
Cajou’s rich, thoughtfully crafted flavors have always communicated love and care. It was so nice to visit their bright new café and experience that in person, with warm greetings and a handmade waffle bowl. The Mango Lassi is so refreshing!
Im usually turned off by vegan anything, but I also like to explore. Im a big lover of ice cream and it felt great to get something beyond the standard vanilla. I had “Kulfi” as a milkshake, which had a great cinnamon taste to it, and I loved it! Definitely would be willing to pick this over an ice cream place.
My daughter had I went to have icecrean here today and I must say this is our new favourite ice cream place to go, their icecrean is truly creamy and Delishious you must try here if you are use to going to the Chamery in Hamden you will not be dissappointed..
I met the owner when I was invited to a neighborhood event put on by local business owners to support our local elementary school as we were walking in our neighborhood. Cajou Creamery was sampling and selling their nondairy I’ve cream. It’s fantastic! Their products are delicious, the people that they are in the world is amazing, and plant based food that gives us a delicious treat without burdening the animals or the planet could not be more timely!
Delicious plant-based ice cream. I had horchata and mango lassi because I could not choose!
I sampled the kulfi and cortidata flavors today, and immediately bought both. They are rich and unique, with a texture that is suitably light and refreshing for Baltimores humid summers. I plan to return very soon to try the other flavors, which have alluring names like baklava, horchata, sweet potato, and blueberry cheesecake. If the rest are as good as the two I tried today, I predict this small shop will have a major impact on this up-and-coming strip of the Bromo Arts District. Highly recommend.
Hands down the best vegan ice cream I have EVER had, and I have tried them all. There is not a single store-bought pint that could beat Cajou!! Their flavors are thoughtful & delicious and their ingredients are simple & clean!
Love the baklava flavor. Welcome to the neighborhood!
Delicious ice cream that even non-vegans will love!
Best ice cream in B-more
We stopped in while visiting Baltimore and it’s the best ice cream I’ve ever had
The ice cream is to die for. I went back at least three times to get one of their milkshakes, and OMG, if there is any ice cream shop you need to go to, its Cajou!!
