A unique and cozy coffee house in a picturesque small Texas town. They offer coffee and tea in an old building that was formerly used as a farrier shop back in the old days. They can do French press and drip. It’s a full service shop. We had the French press cappuccino and the black forest cheesecake and it was memorable and special. They also do lunch tacos. Stop in and check it out!
Nice place to get a good cup of coffee and a snack. Food was really good WC,Wi-Fi and all that stuff present. Menu was simple but as soon as I chose something there was a milion questions like: what kind of coffee, how much how big, sugar or not, milk or not, cold or hot, which food, which topping, what kind of bred, what kind of sous... Omg at the end I gave up and just picked the firs one that that said and result was well... Good but not exactly what I wanted. Simple menu should be simple. But at least inside it was nice to sit and relax, couches need new covers. Will come back for another coffee
This is my first time here and I already love this place! Great atmosphere, food, coffee, and customer service! I will definitely be coming back regularly!!
Have our meetings there every Monday. Nice rustic setting believe building in a historical landmark. The employees are always nice. They also have a small menu for a bit to eat and a dessert case. With some outside seating.
Great place to go with friends, I love the rustic and chill vibe this place has! I personally love their mint watermelon tea definitely nothing Ive ever had before. Overall everything here is amazing must go here if youre in town.
I go here every Saturday for a regular coffee date. He and I enjoy the atmosphere and the very nice coffee they brew. I would recommend to anyone who wants to try local and not Starbucks. The cashiers are always nice to us. Their reward system makes it worth going back every time. They are also far less expensive then Starbucks. I have brought my daughter there and she enjoys their hot cocoa since she is too young for coffee.
Food ok, couldn’t get my order right. Absolutely NO apologies. Wait was long for the empty place, most workers just standing around. Don’t go there! My experience on 10-16-21. 1:40pm
Stopped in for lunch on a Monday. I had Santa Fe tacos and they were delicious! My wife had the same and our friend had bulgogi tacos. The chips were good but the salsa was bland and watery. Service was friendly and our order was completed quickly. They did not have a good soft drink selection (its a coffee shop after all). This was the first time I have ordered food here and I will order again, maybe Ill try the bulgogi tacos next time.
We are relatively new to the area and always on the hunt for great tacos and Ar-u-sha did not disappoint. We ordered online and drove in from Temple to pick up our order. Although not overly busy, our order took 45 minutes for 5 tacos, not 35. The wait wouldnt have been bad, except every table was dirty, and it honestly looked as if the place hadnt been dusted or mopped in months. Who wants to buy a can of tea with this much dust sitting on it? Then a person wonders how dirty the kitchen may or may not be. Dust and grime aside, this place has a quirky charm about it. We will order tacos again, but hopefully management will clean up the place.
I was in and out with my latte waay faster than the local SB❣️❣️
My wife and I stopped in during trade days. I’m glad we did. We ordered the Southwest and Bulgogi tacos and they were on point!!!! Great environment, more than friendly staff, and quick turn around time.Highly recommend stopping by can’t wait to come enjoy some coffee. Go out and support.
Great spot for friends or a quick date.Good food great tea and coffee. Friendly staff pool tables lots of seating! A quaint ambiance.
A had a bad experience this last time a Arusha: As I walked in, the first thing I saw was a large whiteboard with the special of the day. So that’s what I ordered. The paying process is pretty slick. A touch screen appears. Before signing, some very optimistic suggestions in boxes of what tip one should leave are on display. I chose 18%. There were 2 selections higher. I haven’t been in the habit of tipping someone at a register, but started to make that a policy as I become more conscious that servers don’t make a living wage.Seated at a table, I was informed that they ran out of the item in question. Adding to my disappointment was the regret over the tip. Note to self: never tip until the goods are delivered. I wanted to get a refund, but hate the credit card refund process. So I ordered something else. That took longer than usual, so much that I came back to ask what was going on. After standing around a few minutes I got my substitute dish. It wasn’t very good. When we left the special of the day whiteboard had yet to be erased. So why do I give it 4 stars despite their problems? The food and coffee are usually excellent. The service is usually timely. They have a wonderful al fresco eating area, and they are very bicycle friendly. Many of their customers come in dressed in Lycra.I’ll be coming back, but I’ll be more careful how I tip, and I won’t believe what it says on the whiteboard.
Super cute place. Worker was very patient with us and explained the menu well. Their tacos and coffee were delicious. Queso was yummy as well. Wish the coffee came in a larger size though. For the amount of stuff you get, Id say it was a bit pricey.
I absolutely adore Arushas! From the outside it seems unassuming but the inside definitely surprised me. The multilevel floor plan is fun and I like the cozy feel of the lower floor. Their tacos are delicious and have never been disappointed with anything Ive ordered from their menu. I love that coming here after work on a Friday afternoon and unwinding before heading home.
Great tacos, excellent drinks, friendly service, whats not to like about a place like this. Entertainment was very good and a break from the normal, boring, stereotypical type of entertainers most coffee houses are synonymous for. If you want a different experience and excellent beverages, head on over
Despite being a bit pricey, the quality of the food and beverages were stellar.I got tacos while my partner got tea and my family member got coffee. All three were better then expected and well worth the price. The staff are courteous and helpful and the experience is worth going back again!
The staff is very friendly helpful and talkative I always find myself involved a good conversation over a good cup of coffee every time I come in here. Besides great coffee theyre cheesecake is out of this world I dont know who they order it from but they are good 😉
Love this place! Such a great atmosphere and unique multi-level sitting areas.
I dont normally post reviews but I should NOT have have to wait over an hour on tacos. It took up some of my valuable family time today.
The best place in Belton to get coffee, tea, smoothies, and tacos!Very friendly staff and very cool building built in 1891. Plus, you can get 2 tacos, chips and salsa (or queso), and a house drink (I had the strawberry smoothie) for $10!Love this place!!
This hidden gem 2 blocks down from the Beltonian and Millers has a very rustic and cozy feel to it. Its name apparently means something precious in Creole. The staff is very friendly, their menu is plentiful, and there is plenty of room to sit. The ambience is hip, relaxing, and it looks like they might have live music some nights. Truly a hidden gem.
Great ambience. Great service. Owners are super supporters of Belton PD.
I absolutely love the coffee, tea, and food! The lattes are always on point as well as the food. The atmosphere is very welcoming. A good place to study or just hang out with friends. The works are very friendly and go beyond for the customers.
#7 SHA! Seriously the BEST shrimp tacos I’ve ever had. I ordered from some app. I don’t recommend doing that because there was some confusion when my husband went to pick them up. Next time we’ll just call but soooo worth it. I can’t wait to be back and actually try the coffee! 10/10 would recommend and go again and again and again
The ambiance of this cafe is comfortable and flows with positive energy. It provides tasty French cafe foods and wonderful drink varieties in hot and cold temperatures. Their breakfast tacos are simple, full of flavor and made fresh on order. I loved my first visit here and will be doing more business here in the future.
Placed an online order for tacos for carryout. It took 20 minutes past the promised time to get my order. All their sauces seem to be very much mayonnaise based, which Im not a fan of. If they had just called it mayonnaise instead of sauce, I could have ordered without. Also, one taco was supposed to have shrimp but came with chicken instead. The breakfast taco was pretty good.
Awesome coffee shop in Belton that I frequent every time I visit family. Nice staff, great freshly roasted coffee (they roast their own), and a lovely atmosphere.
If I could give them 10 stars, I would. I had the Blah Blah Blah and Sha tacos and they were heavenly! I have Celiac, and found out the manager has a gluten allergy so the staff was fully prepared to handle my food properly. I will certainly be returning.
There is nothing better happened to me since I moved from San Antonio to Temple than knowing this place. The collections of the coffee and tea cant be find anywhere else, the kindness of the owner and employees is beyond expectations, the super delicious tacos is so tasty. Believe me if said that you MUST stop by here to try their coffee, tea, and tacos
Great change of pace from the craziness around. The atmosphere and staff are so inviting. The coffee and food are absolutely amazing. It is just an all around great little spot. It truly felt like a spot where everyone could just sit, talk, unwind. I noticed a family, students studying, people with a dog, couples just relaxing... it just seems to fit everyone. I definitely look forward to going back. Its the kind of place you just want to call your hangout. I love it!
The coffee here is amazing. This is a very nice coffee shop that roasts their own beans. I prefer an espresso without any added flavors and the taste of the coffee is amazing. I often buy beans to take home and make my own espresso shots. The prices are unbeatable also. Only tried a couple of the tacos and have to say the tikka tacos are amazing.
My dad really enjoyed the coffee. Weve gone here twice together and the food is just ok. The ambiance is really nice and the people are always friendly. Ill probably go with my dad again when Im in town for the coffee.
Meh. It was OK. Is nice to have such a location in Belton, but I have not been able to get a consistent experience. Sometimes it is quite good, and other times it is just OK. The inconsistency is a direct reflection of the staff. That statement is not a poke in the eye, but a reminder that employees make the business. On todays visit, the staff was a bit overwhelmed, and I was asked to wait to place my order while they caught up behind the counter. It is not a big deal to wait, but that I needed to wait tells me the plan for staffing is likely inefficient, and the staff did not comprehend that the customer standing in front of them, made a conscious decision to select this location. I waited, and then my order was taken. The message I took away from this was that the staff made a decision to not make the customer a priority. My interpretation may not have been their intent, but my experience was influenced by my impression.
Its a super cute coffee/tea shop. Quiet and good for studying. I very much enjoyed my tea, and I want to try the tacos in the future. The only complaint I have is whoever installed the womens bathroom stalls did a hilariously inept job. The locks for the stalls are on the wrong side. You can be locked into the stall, but you cant lock your own stall.
Coffee super blah. Got an egg and potato taco, I guess you could call it that, which although it didnt mention being spicy on the menu was choke worthy. The potato ingredient was mashed potatoes, which heretofore never appeared in a taco in my world. That said, they did have lots of customers, so maybe they know more than I do about the world and food. My best suggestion is to try it for yourself. Also, for management, have adults out front who can watch over the store and make sure everyone feels welcome and taken care of.
Love this place, great atmosphere, decent prices and good coffee. There tacos are also really good.
Love this hole in the wall cafe! I was surprised to find that they had delicious tacos. Don’t expect just your average taco though! I’ve never had any like it and they’re sooo good! The café was also kept very clean and Service was great. Definitely bringing family back here.
Oh my gosh.. This place is amazing. My son and his girlfriend found this place and finally told us about it.This place has any coffee and tea you can think about. My husband tried the caramel iced coffee and fell in love. I had a mango smoothie and it was amazing.AR.U.SHA also has amazing food too. Tacos, Pate that I have tried and cant get enough of. Cant wait to go back to try the Brik, Quiche and Souffle. You could spend an entire day here and never get bored. You really must try this place you wont be disappointed.
Very cool place. Authentic Turkish coffee, mochas, lattes, and they have amazing tacos and its a great place to hang out. Overall great
I picked this place to meet a colleague lets jump right into what I think. The ambience is casual and classy comfortable seating matters as well. It feels as if youre in a home drinking coffee in the living room. This adds to the appeal I stayed longer because I felt at home cozy and comfortable. Sofas yes you heard right? Yall better go visit I love nice environments I am that Lady ❤The coffee selection is unique with a twist of hey look at me what you want ask if you need help ordering I did wasnt disappointed. I ordered their cream eggs with spinach quiche, delicious and a generous size.
The Fat Tuesday is SO BOMB!! 🥵Accidently came in on Taco Tuesday. $2 tacos? with chips and salsa? You cant beat that! I requested to compliment the cooks about their delishes tacos and even met one of the owners! Awesome place will come back again.
Excellent selection, fair prices, and friendly service.
This is my hands down favorite place to get tea. I havent even tried the coffee because the tea is so good.
Jazlyn is phenomenal! Helped me pick out a great tasting coffee! 10/10 coming back with friends. Enjoying the environment!
Atmosphere was cozy and fun. I got an iced pumpkin spice that was pretty meh so I dont recommend that. The register area was pretty congested and it was unclear to many people where the line was.
Arusha’s is my favorite coffee shop in Belton! Love the staff! Everyone is so friendly and sweet! The drinks are delicious and the tacos are to die for!
What you always hope coffee is going to taste like at a shop, but it never does. Delicious!!! Thank you!
Love the food and coffee and the staff was awesome and very frendly
Super cute coffee shop! Great coffee and pastries!
We would drive miles out of our way just to get a cup of coffee at this quaint shop. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and of course the worlds best cup of coffee. Seriously, its good.
Really comfortable & super chill vibes. Great service, good food, AMAZING coffee.
Great people, great coffee, delicious food and not bad prices.Cute coffee shop.
Very authentic and affordable the staff is nice and the food is great
Cozy ambience, great coffee, and very good customer service.
Fun atmosphere. Refreshing beverages. Cant wait to try the appealing menu. Service is on point!
First time visit with a friend. We had a great time! The lamb tacos were amazing! Thanks for making our day great! We will be back
So this is a coffee house but if they ever decide to go all in pushing this place as a upscale taco shop......they will make billions 😀. We tried 4 different tacos this time around and they were amazing!!!
We sat outside. Cooler. Nice
Nice cafe, excellent coffee and the cheesecake is delicious!
The atmosphere reminded me of an antique shop - with its eclectic styles. The upper deck seating is also a nice touch. I had a cup of Ethiopia Harrar that was truly unique and reminded me of a Kenyan blend. Their cortado was a little underwhelming, however. Staff was very attentive and helpful.
What a gem! We stumble across this big beautiful coffee shop after feeding the ducks downtown with the children. The staff was super sweet and attentive. They made the kids all fresh hot chocolates and we got better than Starbucks lattes. The building is older so you wouldn’t expect the breathtaking spacious charm that is on the inside. I got some medicinal local honey and my friend bought a delicious coffee blend. I can’t wait to show more of my friends!
Amazing tacos, coffees and great selection of teas. Also a cool vibe in downtown Belton. Pleasantly Surprised.
Great atmosphere for a date or putting your nose in the books! Also some amazing coffee and brain food!
Really good lavender tea!
Came out here a couple of weeks ago with another couple. The food was excellent (between the 4 of us we tried all the various tacos, and also had a variety of iced lattes). Price was reasonable, service was good, and the ambiance and atmosphere is really cool and relaxing. So why only 2 stars? One word: FLIES. We sat inside and were constantly buzzed and harassed by numerous flies. Landing on our mouths, food, hands, all over (made me wonder how bad the fly problem in the kitchen must be). At one point we had 8 buzzing around us. We literally had to fight them off to eat. When the waitress came over we mentioned the flies and she just said yeah, sorry, Thats a bad answer. You cannot have flies landing all over your customers food and mouths while theyre trying to eat. Spend some money on an exterminator and develop a pest control plan and well be back. Unless and until that happens, well stay away, even though the food was delicious.
Great coffee, relaxing and fun atmosphere!
I love Arusha. Everything about it is fantastic from their coffee and tea to their amazing tacos and brunch items, to the atmosphere, to the staff. Im there easily once a week, sometimes twice, and have been for at least 5 years. Ive never had a bad experience! They are also active in supporting the local community. Love this shop, love their coffee!
I love their Mexican hot chocolate and their tacos are pretty dope. However I did see a huge rat climbing the wall one day, so I guess the “little chef” went on a break, so minus one star for that experience.
Great tea & coffee served HOT. Also has great desserts. Does sell iced tea too.
One of the best hazelnut lattes Ive had anywhere in the world 🌎. Super cute place riddled with Texas memorabilia, would travel to Belton just to visit here again.
Great atmosphere, good coffee and friendly batista. Will see you next time.
Tacos and coffee are both good and can’t beat the price of $2 tacos on Tuesdays! My only complaint is the girl who is there almost every time I come in taking pictures of everyone. She awkwardly stalks people when they go to pick up their order and wants a picture of it. She will then follow you to your table and take more pictures. Super uncomfortable. I will get my food to go from now on if I see her there. I also overheard another customer complaining about it.
Everything I eat there is delicious. The tacos....wow
I love their coffee! Their drinks arent overly sweet like some places and their tacos are amazing
We got the quiche nd the souffle. Both were excellent.
I LOVE ARUSHAs. They have the best coffee, tacos, and atmosphere around! The decor, drinks and food is super instagram worthy. They are super friendly to people who are environmental and bring in their own cups for beverages. They support the local community all the time. I would come here everyday if I could. Taco selection sometimes changes for variety and they always have specials. The Breakfast taco is my favorite for after church! My favorite drink is their Iced White Chocolate Mocha, the espresso never tastes burnt and you can tell they put quality products into it.
