My wife and I love the Michoacana. We try to come here often to get some cheesy nachos. The owners provide us with excellent service. We had one unfortunate incident where we came one night 10 minutes before closing and the door was locked. We knocked and made eye contact but they wouldnt open. After explaining our situation to the owner we were very pleased by the promptness Maria took in resolving this issue. They will continue to have our business.

The owner and management are really nice even though they belong to an other culture they have really good Mexican treats and if they don’t have what you were looking for they are open to suggestions, my daughter loves the “chicle” ice cream we’ve been going to this place since they open and they’ve been nice people since then! Came in here an hour and a half before they shut down for the day nobody was to be fine I finally called the restaurant after waiting around for 15 minutes And I guy answered and said he couldn’t hear me because he was making ice cream in the back. (seems like something that should be done before or after business hours) The kids like a little pads could step on but that was about the only attraction. On to the ice cream... If I’m not mistaken michoacana is an ice cream with a Hispanic back ground so can someone please tell me why they have a third of their ice cream is east Indian flavors?Of the probably 20 flavors that were available either my kids couldn’t eat them because there was alcohol in it, my kids didn’t want it because it sounded disgusting, or they were out. This place needs to get it together.

I love La Michoacana and usually go to the ones in Addison but being that I arrived for a movie an hour early, I decided to stop by. They have a different selection of items, and the taste didnt disappoint. The staff that was working here was really friendly and helpful. Its definitely the best one Ive been to.

Needs a good cleaning. The owner was stream casting inappropriate YouTube videos on to the big TV. I think he realized I was bothered with it and stopped. I didnt like how he made every effort to not help a customer but rather would snap at his employees and raise his voice for them to help. Dont stand front and center if you dont want to be the an example to your customers. The ice cream and treats were the same as weve had at other locations.

I know its homemade but I didnt like the flavors of this michoacana in particular.Most of the employees were hard working. It was decently sanitized.This wouldnt be my top recommendation but, its alright I guess.

Stars off for not having advertised menu items, and for running out of ice cream on a slow day. Manager was wearing unprofessional work attire, and their lids are sharp enough at the edges to cut through skin. However, the ice cream and fruit things are impeccable.

Very nice icecream parlor. So many different varieties of icecream. Very nice and friendly owners. Always take care of all customers very nicely. Always welcome with you smile and greet. They also have different Indian flavors ice cream, cheesecake, eggless cake, shake, and etc. You can seat there too its big nice clean store.

I dont like posting negative comments but... This is not the same place as the other la michoacana Ive been to. I tried to get what I usually get at the original Michoacana ice cream shops and the taste was completely off.. didnt like it one bit. Stick to the real deal.

Not very friendly, they don’t have all the flavors that many other Michoacanas have and just doesn’t feel very clean to me.

Ordered an elote and it tasted horrible, far from authentic. Cheese tasted off, probably wasnt the cheese that youre supposed to put in elotes. The corn was soggy and slimy, didnt eat it and had to throw it away

This place is awesome! They have such a large variety of flavors.. Some authentic Mexican flavors as well as Indian flavors too! Must try the Mangonada! The elotes are also very good. For Zabihah eaters.. Chicken bites and wings are halal! One stop for dinner and dessert! I would recommend this place to everyone!

Dont waste your time coming here. Place closes at 10 not 11 which I wasted gas just coming over here. Also very rude, hung up when I asked if they were still open.

I was very excited when this place opened up, I would take my family there a lot. Over time this place has gone down the drain. Especially with the sanitary conditions. It was very dirty that we only order a drink since the guy had already poured it for us. Stop being lazy and clean your store before you get somebody sick!!! it does not take much to do that.

Very impressed with this location after reading very negative reviews posted. I went in 10 minutes before closing time (10:50 pm) and they opened the door for me, greeted me, and were SUPER PATIENT with me, he let me try a sample after being very picky with my order and he made sure it was just the way I wanted it. He asked me not twice but 3 times if the amount of chamoy on my mangonada was good and UNLIKE the oringal or “typical” Michoacán’s he offered not a regular OR spicy tamerine straw which is NEVER offered at your “typical”, “Mexican” Michoacán who always expects you to like spicy. Not only that but the ice cream tasted EXACTLY the same. I don’t know what’s up with this generation, just because the owner is Indian shouldn’t mean a single thing nor make it bad, it’s 2018 people GROW UP! All these other negative reviews are very biased considering this is the only Michoacána with an owner from a different culture, if anything I applaud him for stepping up him game and giving it a shot, I definitely recommend this place and will definitely come back, ignore the other negative comments.

Nice staff and good value for money

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!! Worst experience evvver. My friend ordered a elote, the corn was cold, the cheese taste rotten, it was so nasty, he spit it out right away. I ordered a chocolate ice cream and had to return it, it had frost bite on it. My friend asked for our money back and buddy replied, what happened, you dont like, its fresh corn. The corn was from a can, not the cob. I had a feeling it was going to be bad, when the fat version of APU from the Simpson was running a Hispanic establishment . Sry but not sry. WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN!!!!

1st of all I have to put one star that doesnt even deserve it just to type a review for this place.2nd I called before getting there to ask what time they close no answer on the 1st call then they answered the 2nd time but with an additude. So I go from 30min away to get there and ordered a chicaron prepardo with cueros, lechuga & valentina they didint know what I was talking about. So I had to explain myself to them in English to them so once they were done making it the lechuga aka Lettuce wasnt even lettuce it was cabbage!? So then the employee said they dont have lettuce? So why he didint say that the 1st time I gave my order? It wasnt busy at all I was the only one in the store so he wasnt under pressure to make a mistake. Im never again going there! Big disappointment

The elote is so salty and tastes like ramen noodles almost. Somethings not right about it.

This place was a big let down... I ordered an elote en vaso to go and once I got home to eat it, they had put a copious amount of Tajin instead of regular chile piquin, It was not edible, so much acid and salt that I had to throw it away. Customer service was sub par and unlike any other Michoacana Ive visited before (which have been several in both the US & Mexico). I understand that not all are the same and there are some variances from locations, however this particular one has failed to provide that Michoacana essence. Needles to say, I will not be going back and do not recommend this Michoacana.
