This is the best selection of all things for Asian cooking and preparation. I love to make huge spreads and they always deliver. This is the best Asian market in central IL. They have everything to make any Asian dish you can imagine. Tins of snacks and interesting new items everytime I stop in. Definitely a hidden gem in Bloomington. Family run and super helpful with all questions.

This guy stocks everything . It is amazing that he can fit so much into a small space. If you are familiar with Asian cooking, this will give you inspiration.

I bought stuff worth $5 and now I see in Bank statement they charged me $8. Can be a mistake but I doubt. One my friends, who is Chinese herself, said they had overcharged her once. So I doubt if this was an honest mistake.

This is a wonderful little market. I wanted to make Pho Ga a vietnamese dish and couldnt find thai basil anywhere or bean sprouts. They carried both along with a variety of of other ingredients i needed. The man was very nice, he helped me find ingredients as well as advised on which would be better fresher. They had the soup spoons and lots of chopsticks that were beautiful. The ambiance was very nice. Great little treasure. Stop by give a gander.

The owner was extremely helpful in helping us pick out everything we need to make sushi at home! We are from out of state and this was our best shopping stop of the day and we are doing a lot of Christmas shopping. Highly recommend visiting!

I have been going into Shanghai Market since I was a kid. Its such a cool store! They have all sorts of Asain imported snacks and food items. The have a great selection of Asain candies and pokey!

A very small store that has some real gems. I buy my large bottles of Ma Ploy sauce here. (great in soups)The Nagaraya Nuts at the front counter are also great. Try the garlic flavor.Another good item is the Golden Curry sauce with vegetables. I put this on some stir fry vegetables I get Frozen from HyVee. Along with a plate of rice or fried rice and chicken? Wonderful meal

I moved to Illinois a year ago and we couldnt find an Asian food store until yesterday. They had a good deal of stuff like my favorite picky. But the store itself is a little small. The owner is nice though

OMG. I absolutely love love love the store the guy who owns the shop is absolutely amazing points us to great products recommends new products as they come in. The selection is amazing the only store I go to for noodles and stuff now.. also live that they carry the Japanese cheese cake.

If you need specialty East Asian ingredients in Bloomington-normal, this is your place! Personally, I love the exotic kit Kats and mochi ice creams.

This store is a scam. If you pay attention, the price tag and the price on the receipt does not match. So they will charge you a different price. If you ask them why they will be like ohhh I forgot to change it or it’s an old price tag. Don’t trust me??? Go ahead and check it out.

This place is like an oasis in the vast expanse of the Illinois prairie! I am so happy that I found this place tucked away in a small strip mall off the main drag! It has a lot of things that are simply impossible to find outside the internet in this region of the state! I have yet to see such a large selection of Asian grocery items since I was in the Chicagoland area! I cannot say enough good things about this place; I am totally thrilled! If you live in the Bloomington-Normal area, this is the place to go!
