This is a family owned business. Husband and wife team, Dr Darlene and Bill have been a God send for me since my 81 year old mother relocated from SC with hearing aids that had been purchased there. For over a year now we go every 6-8 weeks and Bill meticulously cleans out wax from her ears and methodically cleans and repairs her almost 5 year old hearing aids. No high pressure sales tactics go on at this establishment. It will soon be time to replace her hearing aids and will not be going any where else!! Receptionist Barbara is lovely as well.

Darlene Ballew, AudD, is an excellent audiologist who carefully assessed my hearing and thoughtfully made a hearing aid recommendation. She navigated the health insurance website and conferred by telephone with my health insurance representative about the recommended aids. Her assistant uploaded all documents while I was conferring with Dr. Ballew and provided a copy of the order. My aids are expected in a week. We’ll done.

My first visit was with Darlene in 2020 to have my hearing tested and then pick out the best hearing aids for me. Darlene was very thorough and patient in explaining all the options. Once receiving my hearing aids I was excited to see how much they would help - leaving the parking lot and while sitting at a stop light on Tamiami I rolled down my window to see if I could tell a difference. I heard a click/click and again a click/click and then realized I was hearing the relays in the stop light signal system control box at the intersection. This was with the normal noise of traffic on Tamiami in the afternoon. I was blown away!! I could also hear birds talking much better than I had for many years. In 2021 I lost the hearing in my right hearing aid and stopped in without an appointment. Bill saw me within minutes and corrected the problem immediately. It was my fault for the problem which he then spent a lot of time showing and explaining how to properly maintain my hearing aids. Darlene had shown and explained to me the previous year how to maintain them but I got so comfortable wearing them I failed to do my part over time. Plus when I first received my hearing aids it was when the Covid was really taking hold in the Spring of 2020. Darlene had to wear gloves, protective mask and clothing plus stand in the sun in the parking lot to do the final fit of my new hearing aids while I sat in my car. That is customer care at the BEST !!!Highly recommended to use Bill and Darlene’s personal and professional services !!!

Two overriding factors were: 1. The ability to remove ear wax completely. This was accomplished with perfection, by far the best in the last 12 years.2. The auditory exam was the most complete that I ever received. There were excellent explanations and directions every step of the way. I had a hearing test because I couldnt hear the voices on the TV properly anymore. Darlene administered the test. She was very thorough - took about a half hour. It turns out my hearing is borderline for Hearing Aid, we discussed my situation thoroughly, I tried a hearing aid but I was not convinced I was ready yet. No high pressure. We have never seen one person in their waiting room! We now assume (after going here because of being fooled by their massive amount of 5 star reviews) that these reviews may be paid reviews since most people only bother to write reviews when they are not happy with the service. Check around for prices before bothering to go here.

My current units from COSTO were OK but some noisy and failed to reproduce music without distortion. Darlene and Bill were great from the beginning. They set me up with a great pair of units and then loaned them to me to try for a week. They then ordered another competing pair said to be great with music, bit I liked the first better. Bill contacted the factory on my behalf and arranged for the repair. Darlene took my situation very seriously and expedited the order. On a second occasion, Darlene and Bill came to my rescue again! Even hooked me up with a loaner hearing aid so I could survive at work until another repair was made. I strongly recommend this company for anyone with a hearing disability. They are great people!
