Potentially the greatest wine selection in town. Its a great location to grab a takeout or a glass of wine. It was very calm and comfy there. The antique wine rack was elegant and charming. Staves were extremely friendly and welcoming to them. People were having a good time with their beverages and food. What a wonderful location to unwind.

I bought a bottle of wine from this store earlier today and enjoyed the taste of it. It was a lot of fun and delicious. Furthermore, the waiter who delivered my order was extremely polite and pleasant. The setting was also clean, not overcrowded, and comfortable. Ill probably buy another bottle of wine here the next time Im in town. Thank you so much!

Local whisky, spirits and much more. In-store tastings and really supportive employees and adorable bottles can be made. In this wine store, what else can I say? They had everything you wanted. First class wines and service! I needed to send birthday champagne to a friend in Boston (Im in NY). They helped me find a quality affordable champagen but delivered to my friend within an hour!! Why go anywhere else? They are the real deal!

Im from out of town, but every time I visit I pop into social wines and EVERY TIME the people are super nice, friendly, and like a little banter. Their selection is great, their establishment is beautiful, and the vibes are on point.

For a small place they have a great beer and wine selection. You wont find the cheap wines, but if youre a big wine-o or buying for one, they have some great unique finds and a knowledgeable team that will happily make recommendations and guide you through. I also love that their system can keep track of what you buy for later reference, and if youre buying for a friend that shops there, its an easy way to look up what they like!

Staff is so incredibly helpful and kind. Truly a pleasure interacting with them, and they have made amazing recommendations. Willing to order beers that they dont normally carry. They have tastings twice a week, which are awesome and usually include wines I would never think to try on my own, but are always delicious. Prices are fairly competitive, but I would rather go here just for the service if it meant paying more.

Outstanding selection of beers, wines and liquors. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, without being pretentious. They do frequent tastings, and even brought in a special bottle of whiskey for me to try before buying it. I make a point of going here first for any of my harder finds for all the reasons mentioned. Prices are reasonible.

Awesome place. Super knowledgeable yet down to earth and unpretentious. Theyve got a great selection of Spanish wines that other big box liquor stores will never have. Great craft beers too.

Amazing! Some of the best beer selections in the city. A great variety of IPAs, Sour Ales, Lagers & Wine...so much Wine! The staff are well informed about the merchandise and it is clear they enjoy the business they are involved in. Everything about the look of the store is great. From the wood to the lighting and more. The bags they offer are biodegradable and they offer to keep track of your purchases which allows one to recall them, via the staff and their system, upon ones future visits. No more guessing what you purchased and enjoyed last.

Social Wines is definitely a different experience in wine purchasing that is a welcome addition to South Boston. Their assortment of wines is diverse in not only in style and brand but price as well. The employees there are highly educated on wines to the point where you give them what you like and a price range and they will pick out the perfect wine to fit it. I have not had a bad experience yet. The only thing I wish they did was stay open a little later. Otherwise, this is definitely a place to check out.

Great selection of craft beer and wine, with lots of hard to find and out of the ordinary offerings. Also really helpful and knowledgeable staff - I was organizing a beer and cheese pairing and we talked at length about different pairing ideas. Awesome place, wish I lived closer so I could frequent!

I love Social Wines! They have a great selection of wines -- all with great flavor and varies from very expensive to cheap (but still delicious). The owners are often there and are very helpful in picking out the perfect wine. It is my go-to wine shop in Boston.

Excellently curated beer, wine, and liquor selection. You wont find mass produced run-of-the-mill alcohol here, only well-reviewed, unique, and affordable options. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful as well.

Super nice, friendly staff, after going a few times they remembered my name and my wine preference. The selection is gianormous and constantly adding new brands to try. This place is great.

Special wines are always available. The staff was extremely informative, helpful and kind. If you want to try something different, definitely check this place out.

We asked for some dinner wines ect and the staff here blew us away, just set the bottle price and they will be able to explain every wine in the store so perfectly. We were thrilled with it when we went home.

I go here every few days. Staff is very knowledgable. I can go in and they remember what i got the last few times i was in there. Selection changes every week for certain items.

It has a nice variety of wines, spirits, beer, and hard cider, but it just doesnt have the things Im looking for when I pop by. The prices are also decent, so its a definite must-see for anyone looking to find a new wine shop.

A fabulous staff of friendly, knowledgeable folks that can help you pick out the right wine for any occasion. They have a great selection of beer, too, with people that know their beer.

Good liquor shop. As it is on the main road, parking is a night mare. Little pricey but it is understandable as it is in downtown.

Excellent craft beer selections, with a semi-rotating stock. Youll always find Night Shift, L H, Jacks Abbey, etc; as well as harder to find stuff like Single Cut, Finback, Lamplighter...Prices are on the higher side, but not prohibitive imo.
