I have an S7 that went *kapootz* on me at random during usage. I was unable to retrieve anything as it didnt power on. This was my first time there and I chose it due to its close distance and great reviews. The owner was super cool and friendly informing me of the issue. It was the coolest thing watching him dissect my device! Extremely helpful and positive vibes all around. I will certainly be returning for future consultation and repairs. Thank you so very much for assisting me today!

This is the owner, Id like to offer our response to customer Greg Opperman belowWe offer warranty for non-accidental damage, which is standard for all electronics repair.Let me address these issues:First is the customer allegation that the glue itself is defective, and this defect caused the screens eventual failure. The screen failed because of a torn cable. We have no way of knowing whether if it is the adhesive that caused the screen to lift, or it is a drop that caused the screen lift. All high end smartphones use adhesive, and I can tell you with absolute certainty that all of them have screen lift over time (just check Apple watch, iPhone X, Samsung S10, and Google Pixel), some of them have screen lift as little as one month depending on the users, despite them using original adhesive from manufacturers. And no manufacturer will ever honor the warranty for those screen lifts. We have used the same adhesive on hundreds of other iPhones, Samsung, and iPads, some of them may have small screen lift but none of them has the screen completely fall off like your phone, and none has torn cable. Furthermore, loose adhesive does not cause torn cable, period. Therefore, we can only judge from the actual condition of the screen.Second is the issue that we refused the warranty coverage. When the you came in with a completely torn off screen connector cable, thats not something we can cover. Its common sense that no company is going to cover physical/accidental damage. So you mentioned it is because the adhesive is defective. However, it doesnt negate the fact that the cable is torn. The two weeks time period doesnt matter much in case of damage. User damage is user damage, it is not dependent on time. Nevertheless, you wanted a full warranty despite theres a dispute over what caused the screen to stop working. According to you, whats fair is that we split half the cost of a new screen, so $40. To us, we didnt need to cover this warranty in the first place because theres a torn cable, which usually indicates user damage, but we offered 50% off from the repair price, which is $65, so we lose $15 and an hour of labor.Lastly, we never do a discount in exchange of a 5 star review, and we definitely didnt offer you anything as such the first time you came. In fact, I can definitively say we havent mentioned anything about review for a long time to our customers. The only discount we always mention to customers is that we give 10% discount to return customers. What you just mentioned is probably the sign on our counter where we state if you write a review (not positive review) we can give you another 5% off. Most people dont even bother reading it. Most happy customers dont bother leaving reviews so this is a way to incentivize them. Unhappy customers like Greg will gladly leave negative reviews even if you dont tell them.I understand you are upset, but your tone threatening a negative review is something only a childish person would do. We didnt have to cover your warranty, but we did your repair at half the cost even though we didnt have to. Then you piled on with these lies about us offering you discount for 5-star review. So you got your screen repaired half off, and yet you still left negative review out of spite because we didnt accept your fair suggestion at $40 but instead at $65. You are literally angry at a $25 difference.Lastly, you can be upset, that is your right, but dont make up lie to pile on a small business to smear us as to suggest we bribe customers to leave positive reviews because you want to feel powerful. It is insulting for every single customer who left review previously because you suggested we offered discount in exchange for 5 star review. Everyone is trying in this difficult time. If you cant help, at least dont lie. Thank you.

This is my second time using Turtle Screen, and my experience this time could not have been more different than my first. I had them fix my phone screen two weeks ago. Everything looked good, but the glue holding the screen to the phone was defective, causing the screen to pop off and damage the phone. The shop receipt claims that they provide a 30-day warranty on parts and labor, but when I explained the situation, TurtleScreen refused to honor the warranty and tried to make me pay full price ($130) on the new screen. I offered to split the cost of the parts ($40 for an $80 screen) Eventually after a lot of arguing they agreed to do it for 1/2 price, even though this issue was clearly their fault. I understand that mistakes happen, but they refused to make good on their warranty. Beware of shoddy workmanship and poor customer service.PS: The first time I went to them, they offered a discount for a 5-star review, so take that into account too.

I broke my Samsung S9 a while back, and the cracked screen started to bother me enough that Id need to fix it. I called a few places and they all quoted me $250 or more. TurtleScreen is the only one that quoted me only $150, provided that my screen is still fully functional. I was skeptical at first because their price is so much lower than other places. The owner was nice and explained the refurbishing process. I came back three hours later and the phone was fixed.

BEWARE ALL ANDROID USERS. I had the worst experience here and if I could give this place zero stars I absolutely would. Brief overview, I had to make 7 trips here just for a screen replacement and after 3 weeks, the owner returns my phone with a broken screen button. Read below for full description.Update - The owner tries to justify himself with very long excuses in response to my review and if you read it, you can clearly see what you would be dealing with if this guy touches your android. My phone was 100% functional and hes lies right off the bat. He talks about my parts being in California and how hes cheaper than other competitors. Why does any of that matter? I asked you to fix my screen, give me a price and tell me how long itll take. Why is this complicated? He claims Ive been there 3 times. How is that possible? Can you not see the parenthesis and my detailed explanation? He attempts to make himself the victim by saying I was rude. Is this the type of guy you want to deal with? At the end of the day, I came in with a fully functional phone and broken screen and Im left with a partially functional phone and a new screen.I recently saw them on Facebook and they were getting some hype so I decided to give this place a shot with my S6 Edge. I needed a screen replacement so I messaged them on FB and asked how much, the reply I got was $180.So I came in (1) and they told the price was actually not $180 and now it was $195 and they also told me I had to deposit $100 so they can order the screen. So I did, and they called me back three days later and I came in (2) on a Thursday to drop my phone off at around 4:30pm and the owner told me itll take about an hour. I came back an hour later (3) and he tells me hes almost done with my phone and I sit there for a HOUR AND A HALF WAITING! And I received my phone back with a broken camera and a broken screen button!!The owner told me to come back the next day and when I did (4), he told me he was too busy to finish it and I had to come back Monday. CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT?! I come back on Monday (5) and HES NOT THERE. At this point Ive been here 5 times and Im just blown away at this. I called back on Tuesday very frustrated and the owner tells me to come in. On the way there he calls me and ADMITS he messed up and he would replace my screen with a new one hes going to order and that itll be shipped in 2 or 3 days. A WEEK LATER.... I called them back and the owner isnt there. The next day I call back again and the owner picks up the phone and he claims he attempted to contact me a few days earlier but no voicemail was ever left.So I come in AGAIN! (6) And a few hours later he calls me AGAIN and says he needs to order ANOTHER PIECE for my phone and he would give me a loaner phone for the time being. I get my loaner phone is its not even the right carrier. So for few days I couldnt call or receive calls but my texts were going threw so I decided to deal with it.So after waiting for the weekend, I come in on Monday (7) to finally pick up my phone and THE OWNER GIVES IT TO ME WITH A BROKEN SCREEN WINDOWS BUTTON! WHATS THE PROBLEM HERE?! ITS BEEN 3 WEEKS AND YOURE RETURNING MY PHONE TO ME WITH A BROKEN SCREEN BUTTON. AND ON TOP OF THAT! HE TRIED TO CHARGE ME $40 FOR WHATEVER REASON.Im literally so disappointed in this place, the owner, the workers and everything this place is. Save yourself the trouble and go to a place where theres a least a little bit of professionalism and a little bit of customer service. This so called business is literally a group of kids who got to together, watched a YouTube video on how to fix iPhones, and decided to charge cheaper than the rest.DO NOT TAKE A CHANCE HERE!!!

This is the Owner. And I am responding to the post below from Vo Huynh to present our side of the story.Number 1: The screen itself cost $140. And how much did you ended up paying? $100. We lost money and time. We fixed your screen and actually replaced the charging port for you. The phone has had previous work done, as shown by the fact that there are anti-static and anti-heat tape for soldering. You have even told us someone has touched the phone before.Number 2: The fact that it takes three weeks is because no one in the entire east coast stock that particular charging port. We had to buy it from California.Number 3: You did not take 7 trips. It took you three trips. One is because we are closing and you needed a phone so we had to return the phone to you so you could use it. Another trip is so we can fix your button but it turned out your charging port has issue so we had to replace the entire charging port. And we gave your basically a free repair because of our mistake and we apologized every step of the way.Number 4: This is the most important. You can be upset, that is your right. But you are very rude every time you come in. You even threatened us on the way out about Yelp review. You came with a completely broken S6 Edge (with a broken OLED), otherwise you wouldnt have had it fixed. And what did you leave with? You left with a new screen, and a non-working multi-tasking button. IT is our fault, but please dont make it as if you are walking away worse off. Most places will charge you $250 for the S6 Edge, and you got it repaired for $100!Please dont be condescending as Just a bunch of kids watching how to fix phones on Youtube. Im probably older than you (Im 33), and you have probably the worst attitude as a customer. It is one thing if we blow you off, or refuse to give you service. We offer you a service, and we want to be a good business, but we are not here to be abused. Instead, we offer at cost, and you actually paid less than cost, your phone is still 99% functional, and yet you still threatened us.
