Cute coffee shop/wine bar. Menu had an interesting choice of drinks from special espresso drinks to bubble tea. I got the Spanish latte (iced) and really liked it. The drink was creamy, not too sweet, and not overwhelmingly loaded with ice cubes. I wished that there were prices written next to the drinks on the menu. Other than that, Id return to do some work out catch up with friends in the outdoor seating (around 6-8 tables).
I wanted to love this black sugar boba soft serve, but there were so many issues. The machine was broken (super normal for soft serve machines, can’t blame them for that!) but when liquid vanilla started to come out into my cup instead of ice cream, the server didn’t throw it out and start a new cup when it was working. Instead she put the frozen soft serve on top of the liquid until it spilled over all over my hands and dripped all over the floor as I brought it to a table.I hoped it’d at least be delicious to make this worth it, but it was really just okay. Not very creamy.
Probably one of my favorite places to just chill. I love the atmosphere, the food options, and the comfy seating. The staff are generally nice and welcoming, but that is also what hurts my review a bit is they sometimes seem a bit less than happy to serve, but Ive really never had an issue. Just wish I had more interactions with the employees, because they all seem wonderful! Otherwise, such a great place, wouldnt want to spend my day working anywhere else!GREAT place for a student to study. Im not a student, but if I was, I would study here ALL day. Great internet and usually pretty good music.
Hands down the best cafe in Boston. Amazing coffee, a variety of alcohols, and excellent staff. One of the few places in town that provides a friendly, comfortable atmosphere and doesnt try to rush you back out the door.
Cozy ambiance with quiet house beats, free wifi, and an eclectic menu. Loose leaf jasmine ice tea was expertly brewed. Decent, slightly above average coffee. Very Pleasantly surprised by the canned wine!
It takes a minute to get your order but only because they make most things fresh or by hand. The store opens early and is good for breakfast or lunch. Also they have boba drinks!
This place is great. Alcohol, coffee, tea whatever. Its delicious and to go. Expensive but worth it.
Nice bar and bubble tea spot with a nice lounge and bathrooms. Tapioca is fresh and smoothies are as good as Chinatowns spots but with fewer options. The bar served me beer in a frosted glass. :)Sandwiches are just ok. Theyre served on a greasy focaccia that I didnt care for. The all day breakfast sandwiches are good, and the bagels are still fresh even in the evening.
Love their drinks! Got the sugar daddy, the oatmeal cookie latte, and the red velvet hot chocolate (with kaluah) 💕 loved it all!!
Amazing and exquisite. theyre so nice and the drinks are so good 🥺
During Covid it was a pleasant place, but now it’s very dirty and doesn’t make a desire to come here to work. Coffee quality also dropped.
They stayed opening positive through the pandemic. Always good and hot coffee. Their bagels is some of the best around.
Excellent coffee cocktails. Espresso martini my favorite
Jaho is not like any other Coffee place. They take coffee & chill very seriously, as you can see right when you enter the door, because you’ll be in front of a huge couch and confy chairs close to a fire place. Baristas there are always happy to help me and to chat a little bit about the place.I love the variety of options to drink and to eat, as they not only serve coffee, but also teas, smothies, beers and wines.During the night, it’s awesome to invite some friends and just stay at the bar.And if all of that isn’t enough, Jaho is always really clean, they play great music and looks great on pictures. See it for yourself :))
I got a banana bread and a vanilla iced coffee. They were both okay. Not bad but not great.
Cool vibe great coffee and cute cups
I loved the red velvet cocoa. The place is nice to do some work from the office or school. The great thing is that they have a bar too.
Nice spot to grab a coffee, work, or hang out. Very casual, cute, and cozy. Kid friendly, dog friendly (for outdoor seating). The people that work there are super sweet (at both Jaho locations).
Great place to grab a coffee and study. Went here to study with some friends last week and it was really nice. The staff is friendly and the coffee is amazing
Food was good, but the wait was a little too long to get it.
Best staff. Amazing atmosphere! One of the best cafes in Boston. Great coffee. Nice space, you can work or study. Clean and sanitized. Variety of options to drink and eat. Recommended, All time fav.
Overpriced and rude employees. I was ignored while two of my friends checked out then they took several other customers before me. When I finally got to order the employee watched me hit no tip after waiting for so long and she looks at me and says “oh sad”. Did not acknowledge me at all before and that was the only words spoken.
My first time was easy and the cashier was very helpful in finding a drink for me. I got the black sugar buba tea. Next time I go back to Boston, this will be my first stop!
I came here to take a step away for a moment; I could see how the vibe here would almost be like a lounge. The prices were really fair, my turkey club was simply satisfying, and the baileys iced coffee was just right. It is a great place to just take a few minutes and hang out. There is outdoor as well as indoor seating and service was very polite.
No price on menu and prices change between online and what it actually cost. It feels like sketchy business practice to me.
Prepare to wait 30min for a cold brew
Its one of the best place to do some work or study with a cup of coffee, however, its TOO cold during the winter. They say theyll fix the AC however its been months and its freaking snowy in Boston winter. I stopped going to this place as its literally too cold to stay long.. its a shame!
Enjoyed a lovely glass of wine while sitting at a sidewalk table taking in the sights of Boston on a sunny Sunday.
I discovered Jaho about a year ago at their Chinatown location. That location and this location have become my favorite esthetically. Now when talking about service, it has always been exceptional. I had the pleasure of having some small talk with the owner and he was very approachable and professional. The baristas are always kind and knowledgeable. If they aren’t knowledgeable, they make sure to get the help they need to to get your order right. The ambience is very unique. I love the crossover between a coffee shop and cocktail bar. While it can get rather popular, I’ve never seen it get very loud. So whether you are looking to be productive or just enjoy a beautifully crafted chai ( love it there! ), this place will certainly leave a great impression and have you come back for more... I still do! :)
The Vanilla Softie was amazing
Let me preface this by saying the space is awesome and I will be returning. Its conveniently located a 5 minute walk from the Back Bay station, clearly identifiable, staff were friendly, and WiFi is strong and devices connect quickly and easily. Its a space for everything: drinking, studying, socializing, watching the game. Not to mention its open until midnight!! There are very few spots like this; so its super unique, even from some of the other Jaho locations in that right. Oh and the music is on point and at the right volume as to be present but not overpowering.Even though Jaho is great and Ill be going back, there are several reasons for 3 stars.1. There are no prices on the menu. I know several others have noted this in their reviews. In the physical booklet there are prices, at least for drinks. This is pretentious for no reason. The customer deserves to know how much they are paying for something and make an informed purchase.1a. The prices online differed from that in book they gave me. Online it said martinis were $10 but in the book it was $12. Please update the site or have menus per location. (See pictures) I ordered the voodoo cider which if was on the online menu wouldve been $8 but was $10 in person. It was good (cider + jack honey served hot)2. The barista was not knowledgeable about the drinks on the menu. This is problematic because some of the ingredients are not listed in the big board menu nor in the drink menu. So if theyre not there and on top of that the server doesnt know what am I supposed to do? I did notice upon my exit that the ingredients for my 2 drinks in question (Scarlett espresso martini and Vietnamese coffee martini) were listed on a blackboard; which make it even less acceptable for the employee not to know the ingredients in the drink. All I was told was the Vietnamese one is probably sweeter because it has condensed milk in it and the Scarlett is made with espresso giving it a bolder flavour. I may never know.3. They probably dont list the prices because it is slightly overpriced for what you receive. My $10 sandwich was tiny. Yummy, but like wheres the rest of it? The focaccia was soft and toasted well. Im thankful I added pesto and turkey as the mushrooms tasted of nothing. The sandwich originally is mushrooms, provolone, and evoo.4. People were huddled around tables and took the empty chairs which left tables with no chairs. Thats quite annoying. Like please have spare chairs or something when this happens.Even in spite of all this Ill be returning because Jaho is filling a niche market, and they love me.
Nice lil coffee spot. Staff was pleasant and gave good suggestions. Food was good and a lovely chai. 🙂
Cool place. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for, so what can I say.
I had the taro tea with mango popping boba, SO TASTY.
I ordered a PB&J hot chocolate, it was very sweet but had good flavor. Im excited to try more stuff here - they have lots of coffee options, some milk tea, breakfast food options, even cocktails to go. Its a nice atmosphere indoors, and they also have some outdoor seating.
If upscale decor is your cup of tea, then this is your kind of place for some really good coffee and treats.
I recommend the hot spiked cider on a cold day. With a shot of honey jack, you can barely taste the alcohol, but it will do the job you need it to. The bartender I chatted with was really cool too. We had a great conversation about where we were from, and general Massachusetts banter. Probably one of the most memorable times Ive had at a bar. I hope to come back some day
Well good coffee overall. Go for the Spanish Latte and Cinnamon delight or whatever it’s called. But steer clear of the cute French barista, she messed up my order a bunch of times but I couldn’t say no to those greens eyes and smile through the cotton mask!
Prices are pretty high for what they offer, but great space to work in, especially during pandemic.
Best staff around and always make a great drink! If youre in the mood for something good, go to Jaho.
Really great place. Good coffee, delicious food (you MUST try their hummus pizza!), spacious atmosphere for getting work done and friendly staff.
Good coffee and friendly staff. Comfortable seating.
Good atmosphere!
Comfortable environment to stay cozy all day and just work on pc and other stuff. 🙌🏼.
Lavender Vanilla is def my favorite Latte. Also, try the pizza sandwich ♡
Wonderful place on the Huntington with brilliant food and ambiance
Nice and cozy place. I was here on an early Sunday morning, so it wasn’t much of a social gathering, but I loved it because I got work done. The latte I ordered was super good. And the service was excellent. Server apologized for having a longer wait for my drink, but I didn’t mind. He was extremely polite. Definitely going back and will recommend to friends.
Friendly staff, good coffee and teas
Always 5 stars for studying, meeting friends and having slow life as they advertised lol.
Super cozy place to get work done! Split between a coffee shop/bakery and a wine bar, there is something for everyone. Comfy chairs, booths, and a side room so there are a variety of places to work or hang out!
They put alcohol and coffee in the same store. Crazy man
I love the firewall place..
Very unfriendly service - okay for studying but I will definitely not return.
I got $5 of my iced matcha latte on my birthday 🎁 they are like top 10 for iced matcha latte and the atmosphere is amazing
Nice place.
Great place for coffee and relax
Love. Scene is Very college but good and drinks are a must try.
Very nice place for coffee or a drink. Food too. Fireplace. Comfortable seating. Big windows. Just about anything you could want. Much better than most other places around.
This is the place that goes above and beyond to care for their customers. I had a breakfast sandwich that was just wonderful, fresh and tastey.
Nice space w a quite area as well. Just has a baked treat, chocolate chip cookie. Nice in the middle but dry on the outside.
Great drink selection, delicious coffee, and fast service for hand crafted beverages! I was blown away. Thank you!
My favorite cafe in Boston to work - I like it better than the Chinatown and the South End location because there are more work spaces and seating. The ambience is really nice and they also have a lounge area. The best part is that it’s open all day and night and has enough outlets.
My rating is average. As a coffee shop some of the outlets dont work I prefer functionality. I did have the Spanish latte I was super sweet. Hood if your in to that, but not my preference. I cant rate the bar havent tried it yet.
The waitress came to me and she told me you have to order if you wanna sit here and use our free WiFi and space. She told me our supervisor watched the videos and we noticed you don’t order. It’s not true I order sometimes. I just have a restricted diet. I don’t drink coffee that often. I don’t drink alcohol and sugar frequently. Instead of this sentence, it would be really nice if she asked me May I take your order. She embarrassed me a lot. Also they were staring at me and making me uncomfortable. They are not friendly. They harassed me with their looks.
Ice Coffee was terrible
Went in the middle of the day and it was very crowded but they had fast service. I got one of the hot chocolates and it was delicious.
One of the better coffee shops in Boston. I love the concept of coffee and wine bar. Very nice cross-functional edge for post work socialization.
Came on a Saturday. Pour over only after 3pm (the reason I came actually). Prices are not listed on the menu. The espresso was excellent though. The attitude here is similar to the one in South End (which is to say, more off-putting than similar coffee bars in the area). Would not come back. Also the whole bean coffee doesnt have a roasted on date on it.
First time here and already love this place. Staff is friendly and always ready to help you.
Love it
Drinks!!!!! Baileys and coffee and spiked cider!
Nice produce...Great coffee however overpriced for what you get.
Nice atmosphere and decor. Arrived here for breakfast. The egg of the sandwich was very tough rubbery the bacon sausage heated through. Coffee was good
Nice, quiet spot near Copley. Coffee is great, and the drink menu is good too. Service was friendly and prompt. Great place to meet up with friends, or get some work done.
Ordered an iced Spanish latte. This location seems to have more options than the Chinatown location, and more seating as well. They have a lot of sandwiches and cocktails in addition to coffee and tea drinks. This location is also pretty close to the Back Bay train and subway station.
I’ve been here twice. Super slow service both times. I placed the order and the person who took the order goes through a door to the back and for almost ten minutes no one was remotely close to starting our coffees. At least three employees standing around doing nothing. We had to go remind them that we had placed an order. They may have put too much effort into being fancy and not enough into good service. It’s really bizarre because their Washington location has good service and the space is super laid back.
New drinks in the menu
Good coffee shop near the Marriott. Tasty cortado and nitro cold brew. Good food. Nice staff!
I love Jaho Coffee Shops, but I DID NOT LIKE THIS SPECIFIC LOCATION. The cups were dirty and we received an unfriendly welcome. The people who work there were not helpful. I wasnt happy with my drink and I asked the lady who work there to see if there something she can do, and she didnt want to and she roll her eyes at me. I will never come this place again - I recommend going to the Chinatown Jaho, it the best!
Wine, dessert, coffee all my favorite things in one place. The first bartender was meh. The second was great, ergo dessert.
Very busy place, I ordered French toast latte, was so good... I would definitely go back for more, try different types of latte
Unbelievable coffee. Love the crushed ice. Very cool vibe. Ok breakfast sandwich
Truly great coffee from a local business. Ive been a customer since the first location opened in Salem and Jaho continues to impress me with their ability to expand while retaining a high quality and chic vibe.
The soft serve was great.
Iced Hanoi is AMAZING!!
Coffee with macadamia milk was excellent. Was originally going to get a chai but found out they use concentrated syrup for their chais which is really disappointing.
Very cozy, lovely design. Very cute side room with fireplace, open seating. Offers a lot of milk alternatives (oat, almond, coconut) and a full menu of espresso, coffee, and tea.
I had a Spanish latte which was very good. A bit of sweetness but you can still taste the coffee 👍🏻
