Ive been going to Dr. Frank for years. Hes always thorough, explains things clearly and has a comforting demeanor. The whole staff is very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this practice for anyone who is looking for a great optometrist and a positive experience.

I enjoyed my visit with Dr Frank very much. He was friendly and efficient. I usually never go back to the same eye doctor because they tend to be pushy and rude. However, I will continue to see Dr Frank as long as I can because Ive finally found a good match for me. Additionally the location was convenient and the staff was kind and organized.

Was referred by another buddy to see this doctor, which I got there on time and was greeted kind professionally. Ran some checkups or what not and finished with my new and hopefully better prescription. Finished in roughly 15-20 minutes and affordable without any insurance paying out of pocket. Made my day - eager and excited for my new glasses from downstairs!

Ive been going to Dr. Frank for many years. Ive always had excellent service from him and his team. I like that he has state of the art eye testing equipment.

Dr Frank was the only eye doctor out of the 5 I tried who correctly measured and diagnosed my vision problems, whereas the other 4 hurriedly did a typical exe exam and ignored my questions/concerns.Dr. Frank was also skeptical of my concerns at first, but he patiently listened and took the time to measure me in a multitude of ways before agreeing with my concerns and changing my prescription accordingly.As a result of his patience (he actually did a cycloplegic examination when I asked for it!), excellent equipment (that others dont have), and ability to synthesize my concerns with the data he gathered (he found that both he and I were slightly wrong in our preliminary notions of what could be wrong), he was able to create the perfect prescription that differed from other eye doctors.Im now using these glasses as I type this on a 4K screen, and Ive now had 20/15 vision for this past year with zero eye strain/headaches/blurry-vision.I waited a year before making this review to make absolutely sure these glasses passed my extremely high vision standards. Dr Franks efforts have passed beautifully with flying colors. I doubt youll ever find any other eye doctor as good as him. I sure havent.

I am a 1st time patient. Dr. Frank is very friendly and professional. I had a few questions and he took the time to answer them all. I appreciate the fact that he didnt try to pressure me to get products I didnt need. He gave me options and it was up to me to decide. I will go back for my next appointment and recommended him to my husband.I only gave 4 stars for 2 reason that have nothing to do with the care I received. Though I was on time for my appointment, I waited almost 30 minutes before being seen. The waiting room area is quite small and difficult to navigate to social distance at all time. The person at the front desk was not super friendly. I walked in the office, gave my name then as he didnt ask for anything else, I sat down. After 10 minutes, I asked if as a new patient, he needed anything from me which he did. I dont think I should have been the one prompted him. Since I sat there for a while, I believe he was being trained. That could explain why he wasnt quite on top of everything.

His office maintains meticulous protocols when it comes to being COVID safe and is conveniently a block from South Station. Scheduling an appointment can be done online and if desired, you can receive text reminders regarding your appointment. I enthusiastically recommend him to anyone who needs eye care.

Moved from downtown Boston so chose a different doctor. HUGE MISTAKE!! Had problems with that doctor for 4 years. Back to Dr Frank and within 1 visit he thoroughly explained, tested, and solved the problem. Why? Because he takes the time to address individual needs. He solved a delicate balance between near-sightedness, astigmatism and a minor adjustment for reading. 😁Will never leave Dr Frank again.

As a glasses-wearer of 18 out of 28 years, hes one of the best eye doctors out there. Dr. Frank is so good Im almost resistant to post how great he is because hell get too popular and the waiting times for appointments will become longer. I asked to see him on Monday by requesting an appointment online, saw him on Wednesday morning, got new contacts and a prescription that day, and his office followed up the following week to see how my new prescription wore on me. Excellent service and a great physician. : )

Dr. Frank was excellent! He took the time to listen to me and showed the appropriate level of concern for any issues that I brought up. He was thorough in his exam and very patient. I have a chronic eye disease so I regularly see a doctor at Mass Eye and Ear, but I wanted to get a new prescription for contacts, and Dr. Frank was helpful with this and understanding of my issue. He was knowledgeable and didn’t perform any unnecessary tests that I’d get at my usual MEE appointments.Bonus points for his office being super easy to get to (5 minute walk from South Station) and being near Tatte so I could grab a snack and some coffee after my appointment.

I have used Dr Frank as my primary eye care specialist for eye glasses and for contact lenses for over 5 years and recommend him highly. He is very professional and thorough in the eye exam process, and has been very creative in finding solutions for my high vision correction needs and for my difficult fit contact lens situation. I have used Dr. Frank since 2014. I appreciate his honest and transparent attitude. He worked with me to find a contact lens that would work with my very dry right eye, after being unable to wear contacts due to issues in that eye. He also has told me NOT to get lasik or do some other corrective surgery, which I know he would profit from, due to my personal situation and potential life long side effects. He is approachable and perhaps a bit more laid back than other stuffy doctors, but always professional and knowledgeable. I enjoy conversing with him on every visit

I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my eyes. I don’t understand some of the negative reviews and all relating to administrative issues. The doctor is my main and primary concern, administration is secondary and honestly while no office is perfect, any time I am at the office the staff are all very friendly and it appeared like a good team environment with everyone chipping in.Dr Frank is an extraordinary optometrist, his equipment is excellent, if you want the best eye doctor this is the place to go, I am absolutely certain of that.

Having been to previous eye doctors in the past I was blown away on how professional, informative, and smooth my visit went. Dr. Curtis Frank is clearly a master of his trade and loves what he does and it shows. I ended up having to go to another eye doctor for my last exam because I wasnt in the area at the time and it just reinforced the fact that Dr Curtis Frank is just the best, because I left my appointment with the random eye doc I saw on the way out said to my wife next time I am going back to Dr. Frank. Just booked an appointment with my son as well. Now he has three generations of my family going to him. There are very few people that I know that combine such a warm and friendly approach with a forward thinking knowledge of his craft. Dr Frank without doubt is such person. If you are looking optometrist in Boston who would look after your interests like he did after the interests of my family and will become your eye doctor for years to come don’t look further as you just found him and give him a call.

Excellent doctor - observant and clinically extraordinary. BUT and there is a big but: he has a big problem with his staff! They are extremely rude. Where I come from, you always get your bill over your mailbox, and as I prepared to go no one stopped me from going, so I didn’t know it was normal procedure to pay right away. A receptionist called me and I apologized many times, but because my husband had an appointment in 5 days, I asked if it was okay that he did the payment, so I didnt have to come in again. She said okay. Then the next day, I called them about another problem regarding how you get your contacts after you have a prescription. Her answer was (in a degrading tone: Eh, I think you just order them online). And we can’t make the prescription until you make your payment - like she was extremely mad with me. I must say, I can’t remember that I have been treated this bad in a doctors office before, and even tough I really liked the doctor, I can’t be at a place with this kind of rudeness in regards of their clients.

Dr. Frank is a great doctor! Very knowledgeable, takes time to answer any questions, and in general has a nice demeanor! I would give he and his office 5 stars, but there is one receptionist that is so rude and so unpleasant that I finally said to her one time why are you so rude? to which I, of course, got no reply. If they got rid of Miss Sourpuss it would be a great place!

The worst Dr. I have ever seen in my life. Rude. Impatient. Dismissive. Judgemental. He is so annoyed by his patients. They wait 3 hrs . He spend 1 minute talking to his clients. Who ever the fellow or resident speak no English and looks at the wrong eye
