I was extremely dissatisfied with Best Buy because I purchased 2 Surface Laptops Go, mouse and pen at the Columbia, MD Store based on recommendations from employee. When I got home the pen didnt work, I went to store in Waldorf and exchanged pen because I along with employee thought it was defective. Went home and pen still didnt work. I finally called Microsoft to only find out the pen was not capitable. I went to return the $99 pen, to be told I cant at the Bowie Store. Again no compassion, no thought to even check if pen was compatible only a statement that I could utilize my warranty to purchase another pen. I shared with her the entire process I went through, and then shared that after 2 returns, none of the stores thought of compatible issues. They then said that they would refund on gift card eventhough I had my receipt then they wanted to give me $26 for a pen that was $99 because they gave me an Mouse at no cost. The mouse was $26 so not sure of their calculations. I then said okay, let me get the mouse out of my car and return. She then said I am not sure if they can accept. I had to ask for Manager, he did allow me to return mouse and pen but for me no one took into consideration that 1 brought 2 laptops, mouse and pen that I was told it was compatible and I had to be inconvenienced 2 times and no employee ever took compatibility in to place, nor did they even look at me as a future returning customer.It showed me I was not valued as a returning customer and potential returning customer but made me feel they just wanted a sell and didnt care that the products werent even compatible.

I get why, but the inventory here is terrible. Like any other brick and mortar electronics store other than microcenter. Electronics stores like best buy never have what you actually need if youre looking for something specific, especially if its a PC part. Youre better off on Newegg, Amazon, or online best buy. If youre going in here to shop for a general product and not something specific you can probably find something that suits your needs.

This is a prime example of how not to run a retail store. Shelves are empty, products are scattered, and everything looks dirty. I felt like I was walking through a second-hand appliance store. In-store fixtures were grimy and falling apart. Staff approach to customer service is non-existent, some weren’t even in uniform.A poor example of what the giant Best Buy used to be.There is no reason to visit this location, shop elsewhere or online.

Best Buy - Owing Mills: I was a little disappointed and a lot annoyed when I drove over an hour to pick up an open box computer with no missing part. But when I got home 3 hours later the seal box which seemed to have been so carefully packed with the best buy seal tape DID NOT have ANY accessories. No plug, no books, nothing except the partially charged laptop😀. I called the customer service they indicated they couldnt do anything and I would have to call the store (where no one answers - thats how I got to her in the first place). So she suggested I go to the store closer to me for assistance. Well I did go to the one closer they attempted to call the Owing Mills store and after being on hold for over 15 min someone finally picked up, at which point the owing mills attendant tells the Bowie customer service personnel to tell me Id have to drive back to Owing mills to resolve my issue. 😳Well I have the laptop, I have since purchased a plug from Amazon (who has never failed me) and I guess Ill have to live with anything else that could or should have been in the box. Got warranty info (which we brilliantly looked up thru research on the product and product #) smcπŸ™...a least I was able to register it.

In a time when things are just all over the place, people are fearful of each other and in-person customer service suffers. I found the little cove where customer service still exists and the associates actually care. Between the Best Buy in Bowie and Woodmore, I appreciated everything the associates did to come to my aid. I never had to ask for a manager because inquiries were made on my behalf before I even knew the problems. Really appreciated the lack of run around, thank you!

I got what I needed, but in the middle of the sale the manager switched employees around because the person watching the dishwashers didnt know how to answer a customers questions. So the guy I was talking to in the tv department was apparently more qualified to answer questions about dishwashers than to finish taking me about the TVs I had questions about. I bought the tv the first salesman suggested but struggled to pick it my second one as the sales person they took out of dishwashers also did not know much about TVs. They were nice enough and friendly but not knowledgeable about the product and I had to take the lead on my own sale and find what deals were available on Memorial Day Weekend. Seemed very unprofessional by management in my opinion.

I drove 16 miles to Best Buy twice trying to have the in-line fuse in my Bose Wave Radio replaced. The first time I was told the appointment I made over the phone was never entered into the computer so I had to make a new appointment and come back next week. The second time I was told my radio was too old to bye repair. They could have told me that they would refuse to repair the radio the first time I drove to their store. I still have the radio. I do not have any reason to return to Best Buy ever again.

Really bad costumer service. They have a bunch of employees standing around while only 1 service line open. The manager addresses you in a way that makes you want to put her in her place as soon as she opens her mouth. They ordered the wrong MacBook the first time I went in, then when I went back and asked for my money back, they allowed me to walk away with $199.99 less then what I had pay, for not doing the job correctly. I went back to the manager and she simply said β€œoh yea they didn’t reimburse you the Apple care back.” Very nonchalant and unapologetic. Piece of advise don’t work in customer service if you don’t like dealing people.

I then had some verification questions but there was no one around to ask.
