I had a promise date of September 11 for my glasses which came and went with no notice from my Eye Doctor. Called three days later after already waiting the 3 weeks and was told it would be another week. Another week went by with no phone call from them or any update. I called and was told it would be another week and to try back then. I waited another week like they requested and when I called they told me the glasses were out for delivery.Another week goes by and I tried to call but the office was apparently closed during business hours due to phone issues. I drove over only to find out that my glasses were not out for delivery like they said a week ago. All they could say at this point is they have no idea how long it’s going to take. It’s been over 5 weeks since I came in for my appointment with no communication from them at all during this process.They promised date for delivery came and went and it’s now 2 1/2 weeks later and due to the lack of communication on their part or lack any explanation for why this is happening reflect poor customer service and I would not recommend.

If theres anything less than a zero then thats what Id give this place. I scheduled for an appointment at 4:20pm and came at 4:23pm and they wouldnt accept me and my daughter because they lied the appointment was for 4:10 which was incorrect. I called an hour early that were running late. I even showed them an email they sent me showing the time 4:20pm. They said Doctor will not see us. They usually give people a 10 minute grace but that wasnt the case for me. They are so rude, zero integrity. Do not go here! Ever since Doctor Cerina left, this place went down hill.

Definitely not one of the best eye doctor locations. It’s just sad how bad they fell off. Some of the staff members are rude and the doctors there aren’t too helpful and are never on time for your appointment compared to other locations. I felt like all they wanted was extra money. I only ever went here because it was closest to my house but it’s time for me to change that.

Second time leaving this office frustrated due to the unprofessionalism of the new doctor. I walked into this office roughly around 9:10. My appointment time was scheduled for 9:20 (I arrived a little early to fill out paperwork). While sitting in the waiting room with another patient the doctor walks in a little after 9:30. I walked out of the office a little after 9:50 without being seen. Unacceptable!

Terrible experience at this location. Denied service after being 10 minutes late. My appointment was at 12:00 pm and I arrived at 12:10 pm.I called when I realized I went to the location and informed staff I was on my way just a few minutes away. When I arrived I was informed then the store had a 10 minute grace period and the doctor would not see me. I example what happened and was still denied service.I plan to write the CEO of the company.

Educated and professional doctor and staff. They were very helpful and explained all I needed.

This location was amazing!!! friendly environment, when I walked in I was checked in and seen immediately.. Shawn (hope I spelled her name right) was very nice! Dr. AFUA was amazing she explained everything in detailed to my understanding. David was very helpful as well he explained my benefits to me and what I had to pay.. He laughed at all my corny jokes too.. Thank you all.. I CAN SEE AGAIN 🤓🤓

Cerina Buchanan is, without a doubt, the best doctor Ive ever had. I wish I could have her as my primary care doctor and specialists all rolled into one. I have major anxiety about going to any type of doctors appointments, but she makes every visit so easy. She makes me feel very welcomed and like she actually cares about me and my children. I dont feel like Im just a number when I walk through those doors. Doctors like her are one in a million.

The eye doctor here is so so sweet and the guy who helped me with my glasses was so honest and helped me pick out some awesome frames! His name was David... super cool guy. I love this place! Everyone is so friendly!

Dr. Buchanan is amazing...shes so passionate about eye care, takes time to explain everything, and shes stunning lol Also, David who helps with ordering your glasses and contacts, treats you like family and just seems like a great person. The only reason I am giving 4 stars and not 5 is because there is always a struggle to get rebates when you order contacts thru them...they seems to never provide the correct instructions and the back and forth is frustrating. Overall tho, great experience!

Today I went and it was my first visit. Dr. Buchanan is absolutely amazing. She asked me if I had any questions and answered them. She was so kind and said she knew where in North Carolina I am from. Will be returning. The young lady who helped me pick my glasses out was kind. I deff recommend dr. Buchanan.

I had a great experience with Dr. Patel at this My Eye Dr. location! I went in for a long overdue eye exam on a Saturday morning and was seen by the doctor within about 15 minutes of filling out the paperwork. After examining my eyes, the doctor thoroughly explained what was going on with my vision and let me know that I would need glasses. After meeting with her, I was sent back to the sales floor to pick out a pair of frames. The salesperson I worked with was very helpful and courteous. He helped me select a few pair of frames that would fit my face shape best. Today, I picked my glasses up (it took less than 2 weeks to receive them) and they look and feel great! I highly recommend Dr. Patel and this location.

I just have to say WOW! I had one of the best experiences today and hope to in the future. Everything from entering the store to exit was perfect. All of the staff was friendly and worked together and got things done in a timely fashion. I recommend anyone to go here. Theyre truely a great team!

I went to this place for my very first ever eye doctor appointment, and I was so comfortable. They made me feel right at home. Each and every individual I came across was curteous, well mannered, and seemed to actually care about me and my familys needs. I will be going back. This is the only eye doctor that will receive my money.

It was the best first visit experience I have had with an eye doctor. I was seen on Friday and will never go anywhere else. The staff was very welcoming and Dr. Buchanon was top notch. She has a gift of making others know she cares for you and truly enjoys her job. Staff was very knowledgeable and worked well together to ensure my needs were met.

My experience at this office was excellent. All the staff members were super professional and nice. I had problems with the prescription and mixup with the order that I end up making several trips to this office to get the right prescription that worked best for me. They, ESPECIALLY THE MANAGER (I WISH I REMEMBER HIS NAME) WAS SUPER PATIENT AND ACCOMODATED EVERYTHING. HE WAS SUPER NICE and finally got the prescription that worked for me best. I definitely would recommend this place to family and friends.If you are the manager of this office reading this review, please keep it up!!!

Dr. Buchanan and Janelle were incredible. I usually dont write reviews but my visit was so amazing that I had to. Everyone is so friendly and make everything about your visit feel comfortable.

Ive been to three other locations and the one in Bowie is by far the best! The staff were extremely friendly and pleasant. I did not wait long to be seen by the doctor. My insurance covered all I needed and I even received a discount on the retinal photo. I decided to keep my current frames so I saved even more. The gentleman Roy replaced the nose pads on my frames free of charge. I met the manager Alex and expressed how this visit far exceeded my expectations. Hassle-free, pleasant, professional and all around GREAT experience. I would definitely return to this location for my future eye care needs.

Horrible. If I could put zero stars I would. According to the Maryland attorney general a contact prescription is valid for two years from the time you were first examined unless your eye doctor gives a valid clinical reason for an earlier expiration date and documents the reason in your medical record. However this practice is not focused on health but on billing and billing and billing. As a result they do not follow Maryland law and require you to come in annually for an appointment. Never going back.

My experience was amazing! They worked with me and my insurance company to get me the very best deals and they price match! I wouldnt go anywhere else for eye care other than here! I am going to recommend this place to my family and friends! Great staff...friendly and knowledgable and helped me pick glasses and products that were right for me! Thank you!!

Everyone is pretty friendly except Latoya. She’s so rude and gives you dirty looks for no reason. They really should do something about hiring friendlier staff, because she’s going to make the morality of the business and that particular location go down. She literally mugged me from head to toe when i came there and when i made an honest mistake not knowing the doctor was a women, she then corrected me ( in a very condescending tone) “ Its actually a women” while rolling her eyes at me. She obviously has a issues towards other black women. It’s so sad they have someone who is like this. I will seek counsel if need to be, because they actually gave me the wrong contact prescription too. I will never come here again.

My mom and I visited the bowie location my mom was so happy that the DR got my eye exam correct and I as well we love them there they really are the best

I will go here again! Although my visit took 1.5 hours I had an excellent experience. The doctor was very nice and informative. They told me 10 day to receive the glasses but I received a text that they were in on day 7 and they were perfect. Thank you!

I have three years with them and the are super professional they are not money hungry it depends on the frames you want and what you want your glasses to do. My last visit i got some glasses that shade up when you go outside to the sun and it wasnt too cheap nor too expensive so i recommend this place to everyone they have the best service.

I’d been seeing an eye-doctors’ practice in Crofton that also sells eyeglasses, but I encountered eye-doctor arrogance and worrisome business practice.Began search for alternative.Stumbled on MyEyeDr in Bowie. Courteous and well-run business in my first encounter. Dr Cerina Buchanan, OD, examined my eyes with competence, thoroughness and patience.Made clear comprehensible diagnosis.Politely declined my request for new glasses until I see and get evaluation from a laser surgeon regarding possible need to remove film over one artificial lens that’s been in place since cataract surgery years ago.Impressive.Would award five stars but for dearth of seating for patients awaiting service. Staff handled even that problem well, I’m happy to relate.—Ralph Z.

Called to make an appointment to get my eye checked. My toddler scratched my eye slightly on one side of it (not over the pupil). It’s a minor scratch but I wanted to get some drops to make sure it didn’t get infected. MyEyeDr turned me away before even seeing my eye and said I needed to go to the ER. I knew this was ridiculous so I tried to plead my case letting them know it’s not bleeding, just irritated. They cut me off and said I still need to go to the ER. Called ER, they openly laughed and said MyEyeDr was completely wrong and I need to just go to an eye doctor. I called Peepers and they set me up with an appointment right away. MyEyeDr is lazy and rude. I was willing to pay full price out of pocket for whatever I needed to do and was going to pay for a regular eye exam on top of having the scratch checked. Horrible customer service. Would never recommend.

The front desk personal are not responsive at all. They charge a lot and order unnecessary changes to prescriptions. I had to visit the clinic several times to get my eye glasses number. I do not recommend this place. Its a waste of time and money.
