When buying appliances from these guys, I think your success here lives and dies on luck. We had none.We went through two refrigerators. Delivery both times was quick, professional, and Covid-friendly, so the extra star goes straight to them.Unfortunately, our positive experience stops there. The first fridge made a wheezing sound that permeated our entire two-bedroom apartment and ran all the time, whereas the second one had a rattling issue with the back panel in the freezer that sounded like a loud diesel engine (it also had temperature issues, overfreezing on top, but under-cooling in the fridge section).I get that, with refurbished products, youre always taking a bit of a risk. However, theres also some weirdness surrounding Marsha you should know about (shell be your point of contact at the store). The initial sale was smooth -- Marshas super knowledgeable about what she sells, and in person, shes great. But for fridge one, she wanted us to call and remind her to add an ice maker before delivery (which is weird, making the customer do work for you). Then, when we asked to switch fridges, it took weeks before the next option was ready, and again, we had to call several times for updates. After the second fridge started giving us grief, instead of sending a handyman, Marshas advice was reset the gauges to 5 and wait, which we did to no avail. By that point I felt like we were annoying her.Since lifes too short, we finally decided to just pony up and buy a new fridge, because we were tired of the roller coaster ride. The old fridge was still under a limited warranty, so we wanted to see if Savon would take it back and refund us at least some of our money (I think they charge a 20% restocking fee)... But after calling 5 times over different days, Marsha suddenly wasnt picking up her phone at all (how convenient), and we had to pay for a haul away in the end instead.Overall, not a fun time, and an expensive mistake to boot. These guys DO know their appliances, so Im sure their repair service is top notch... Just be aware that, if youre buying a $350 used fridge from them (+tax, +water filter parts, +tip), youre also playing the lottery. We lost twice.

Great place! Moved my vintage stove in a heatwave, no less, after another appliance removal place said it was impossible to pick up except for recycling. Used them before for my O’keefe and Merit maintenance and installation and they know their appliances.

Their reputation must have been built strictly on the vintage items (which i did not look at because it was not what i was shopping for) and repairs. had high hopes after seeing the reviews and was really disappointed . $350 for someones dirty, disgusting junk (should have been salvaged) refrigerator! dust and grime on all of the washers..... it was all i could do to spend 4 minutes in there.

The experience and education on older appliances cant be matched. Its wonderful that someone still cares. I have never been happier.

I love doing business here. We bought a beautiful stove, and later on, a stackable washer dryer. Worked out out a great payment plan, and now were the proud owners of both. We would gladly come back next time we need an appliance. Highly recommend!

It worked very well and the prices were great. 2nd time I came here I purchased a small refrigerator for my apartment. It was in near new condition and the price was fabulous. They sent someone to “fix” our oven that had no idea what he was doing. He broke our oven and then lied about it. So now every time I use my oven that I purchased from them I think about the man that charged me $100 to break my oven. If you are looking to buy an antique stove this is definitely the place. If you would like it serviced as well, this is the last place you should be considering!

The oven I purchased wasnt working earlier this week. I called a technician from the store to check it out. He told me nothing was wrong with it and he wasnt going to do any work. I called the store to see if they would waive the fee of 75$ (mind that I live 5 minutes away from the store). The lady was mean and said she would have charged me 85$ if it was up to her. I spoke to her calmly and she addressed me with no manners whatsoever, raising her voice and not saying thank you sorry or anything civil at all. I would have expected better treatment after I bought all the appliances for my kitchen at this store. Never again, customers beware.

What a place! I Love everything that they have. So happy to see how looks old machines like new ones. Old ones are better than new ones. Definitely this is a place to keep your appliance alive again.

It has now been 3 months since our glorious refurbished red enamel O’Keefe and Merritt gas range entered our home. This aesthetically pleasing, head-turning burly task master of a kitchen appliance is not only a unique conversation piece, it has completely changed our lives. With 4 burners, a griddle that can handle 6 tortillas or pancakes at once, an oven with a vintage cooking chart printed inside the door and a fully functional Grillevator broiler, there is nothing we cannot cook without confidence and ease. I can’t help but think how lucky we are that Savon Appliance exists solely to keep these well built survivors from the landfill and put them back into use in our vintage homes. From the onset, the customer service was on point. Marsha is an efficient communicator and even made herself available to speak over the phone to the gas company as they were trying to figure out how to light the pilots. The transport company they contract with sent two extremely professional and friendly delivery drivers who placed the stove in our home exactly where we wanted it without scratching or denting the door jambs or the stove. Savon Appliance has been in business for almost 4 decades and I hope they are grooming the next generation to take over their extremely admirable work. These old appliances cannot be duplicated and were built to last. There is no new appliance that can compare aesthetically or functionally to the refurbished stove we bought from Savon. If you are considering a purchase from them, I would not hesitate. We are more than 100% satisfied with the quality and service they delivered.

Came into the store just looking for information and Marsha provided a motherload regarding my stove, how to set it up, preventative care, specific location/region issues, and how to proceed and repairing little things that she saw just from a small picture. Even though she says that we wont need it, any future servicing needs I will seek help from Savon. This is how you do customer service, people.

I was recently looking to get a fridge for my son, who is in school in L.A.( me in Canada :) ) and among other places, I came upon this place.. From the very first time I talked to Marsha, the owner, I was very pleased with her approach and her customer service.I talked to her quite a few times, I had a lot of questions and every single time she was extremely patient and helpful. She answered all of my questions, she had so much understanding for the situation and she emailed me all the photos, explained everything and then as I followed up on the phone, she was again polite and understanding.Honestly, that just shows her character as a person and what a great person and professional she is.To me, thats exactly how you should treat your business and your customers.The price I got my fridge was just fine as well.I said to her, once I am in L.A., I am going to visit her.Thank you once again Marsha and all the best to you, your family and your business in the future :)

I researched several companies nation wide before ordering my stove. I live in upstate NY and the best option for us, despite the distance, was Savon. We have an old home and knew we wanted a stove that would not only stand the test of time, but would have vintage character and charm. It was not a quick process, to say the least, but that was largely the fault of the delivery company and the porcelain company. Dealing with Marsha was very helpful- she was always responsive, and true to her word from start to finish. She always answered our questions and made sure that we were satisfied at the end of this process (and ordering this kind of stove out of state is definitely a process). Our forever stove was well worth the wait...its beautiful and I know we will enjoy it for many years to come.

There is no doubt about Marsha servicing her clientele as she is extremely knowledgeable, fair minded and fair priced. I bought a Maytag W&D and they stripped it down, cleaned it and replaced any worn out parts. Delivery was on time and her follow up service is true to her word as well. As with all negotiations it is how you approach the seller and how reasonable you are as a buyer. I recommend her without reservations.

My very 1st dealing with these people was absolutely horrible! The owner was flat out rude to me and refused to get a repair person to come out and check a broken refrigerator that they sold my landlord for 4 days and all she told me was put my stuff in the cooler deal with your landlord! Stay away from these people they sell you junk thats gonna break down within a week or 2! Horrible horrible horrible! I guarantee you every one of these posts that say they have good service are probably friends or relatives that they have posting in their behalf these people are very terrible!

Called to see how much they charge for delivery because I saw in their website they they deliver in South Bay. I live in part of South Bay and the lady who answered the phone said they don’t deliver to where I am at. And I quote said “ you need to find something close to you honey”Doesn’t make sense for a business that can ship overseas and claim to deliver in South Bay to deny service for delivery.

I bought a washer and dryer from Marsha in 2012 and it has worked awesome for my family. I am so lucky to have found this company.

I have been shopping at this store for years, but not often because ALL their products have been so reliable. My purchases have all been washers and dryers both for myself and my children...usually rebuilt Kenmores which were reliable to begin with.This next month I will be going back for a dryer. I have had my washer (purchased from Savon) 14 years, and its still going strong. My dryer has a belt problem, but still works, so Im trading it in for a newer rebuild.If I could give them 10 stars I would.

I bought a refurbished W/D set from Marsha five years ago; we guessed that they were six or seven years old then, so you do the math. Today the dryer quit heating, so I called Sav-on to get an estimate on a service call. Id done some diagnostics myself before I called, and was quoted a VERY reasonable charge for the service, but then told that 90% of the time its a $10 fuse that you can replace yourself.Long story short, with about two hours of my time - partly spent sweeping up a mountain of cat hair - a $10 fuse and one quick trip to Burbank, we have dry clothes again! The service that Marsha offers continues to blow me away. I cant imagine spending what some do for new-new appliances when there are companies like Sav-On out there. Thanks, Marsha!
