Troy should be retrained in the art of customer service or find another line of work!I attempted to complete a return with receipt, on items that were unopened and purchased just yesterday from the Durham location. When he was unable to scan the barcode or read the receipt, he said I had two options... 1 - Accept store credit on a gift card or 2 - Drive back to Durham for a cash refund. Unsatisfied with both options, I asked for a DM’s contact information but he wouldn’t provide it. I was able to get the customer service number from Troy.After doing Troy’s job for him, by calling customer service, they were able to look up the receipt and provide necessary information for Troy to complete the transaction.Why did I need to contact Michael’s customer service to get Troy to do his job? Couldn’t he have contacted Michael’s customer service to gain the same information I gained?Therefore, it is my opinion... Troy should be retrained in the art of customer service or simply be promoted to customer, since he doesn’t have the ambition to complete the minimum requirements of his position!I will do business at Hobby Lobby in the future...

Michaels is a good place to shop for your craft and hobby needs. Seniors get a discount. If they are having a sale you can get some great deals.

They have a lot to choose from. Every time I go to Michaels I end up buying more than what I came for cuz its so much to choose from. I love that they have large selections.

This is a nice Michael’s. It was clean, the staff was helpful, and they had the yarn my wife was looking for. She could get nicer yarn at other stores, but Michael’s had sufficient yarn at better prices. They also had many wooden decorative bird houses (not really good for birds) and other items were on sale or buy one/two get one free.

Personally I feel Michaels has gone down hill. I still spend money,dont get me wrong. There are just a lot of empty shelves (not resets either) no products. The store is becoming dirty and worn. While some of the staff is fantastic and friendly ... others not so much.

Michaels still have a lot of winter dark colors. I bought some beautiful yarn. The texture is so soft.

This particular Michaels has gone downhill big time. It used to be a very clean and organized store. For the last couple of years I have noticed a BIG difference. There always seems to be clutter and disarray everywhere. The items that are on the shelves are messy and not normally in their right places. I wouldnt be surprised to see this store close if things dont change.

Found what I needed but it took some time. The store is full of boxes that need to be unpacked and put away. Definitely need some people to apply for the positions that are available.

I wanted to recognize Rodney for a job well done. As most shoppers recognize, the “Tunnel of Doom” before the checkout area is a hard place for parents to wait with small children. Well my 3 yo daughter was overwhelmed by all of the toys, goodies, treats and things she “wanted”. She did not take to mommy saying “no” well and had a moment of tears. It was a longer wait for checkout due to only one register being open. But that’s where Rodney saved the day! He came up with a smile on his face, a pep in his step and opened his register. We were lucky enough to have him check us out. He saw my daughter had been upset and immediately worked to remedy the situation. He involved her in the check out process and assisted her in wrapping the items and place them inside the bags, he asked her all sorts of fun questions and treated her like she was the only little customer in the store. His patience and kindness was not expected, but it was greatly appreciated. Needless to say, my daughter was enamored and smiled from ear to ear and left the happiest little girl. Even the people waiting in line had smiles watching the interaction. He topped off the experience with a cute drawing for my daughter on the receipt. She talked about her new friend Rodney, the drawing and all the things she got to do the entire way home. THANK YOU RODNEY for being a bright light in the world, you are a blessing!

Chose to order online to use curbside pickup. App was great. However, the employee who yelled to us to drive up to the curb from our parking space was not correctly wearing her mask. Total exposure of face. Whats the point of curbside pick up when employees dont wear their mask? 😡

I shop online and do curbside pickup. I have always had excellent customer service, always! I have called quite a few times and the manager answers my questions even calls me back, if needed. Best in the business!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Michaels has really declined at the Burlington location. There are not enough employees to assist you, without taking someone away from the registers.At this moment, the store has locked their location out of displaying availability of items online. It states that you have to call or visit the store to see if they have something. So, I called them, and they said there were plenty 9f what I needed!! She even told me what aisle to look on. Now that was kind. So I drive 40 minutes to the store. I looked, and I couldnt locate the items. So I waited my turn in line, because there is no one to help a customer in the store ( this has been the case for the past year to year and a half) The girl at the register said she couldnt go help me look, because of the line. I understand that. So she went and got a handheld store inventory computer. It said there were 4 items. She went on to say someone probably bought them all, and the program had not updated. Sure, that could be the case, but if they know the inventory counts on the program arent accurate, why not do a visual check before telling a customer to come on down, we have plenty?? Again, I live 40 minutes away. What a waste.

I had a really great experience placing an order for custom frames in person at this store. The frames turned out lovely! However, the pick up did not go smoothly and was a bit frustrating.

They have quit making flower arrangements. That was what I went in there for.

I usually come in here every once in awhile for Christmas as well as Halloween this time around it was Halloween. I end up picking up some black branches that you would incorporate into your Christmas trees and these are nice and thick a little expensive but Michaels is expensive but theyre got some of the coolest stuff in this store. Anyway I end up doing some shopping for my Halloween tree and end up picking up some black branches as well as some spiders it really looks good on the tree. Its a great place to shop for Halloween as well as Christmas items though they can be a bit expensive.

The one cashier was very nice even though I was the ninth person in line. Impressive how positive she stayed under the pressure she was put through.

The young lady with multi colored hair gave me exceptional service.3 stars 5 for service 1 for product.Got a large shadow box it is decent quality.Bought a package of Chevron shaped push pins to mount in box. 80% broke when trying to use. A couple were already broken in pack. The adhesive used is not up to holding pins onto the Chevron decorative part that shows. There are adhesive that work.Will only buy frames from Micheals in the future. Eric from Lombard IL

Tons of nice craft items! Affordable too ! A nice selection for kids, kitchen sections, wide variety of paint, knick nacks, seasonal items, stickers . The staff is also very helpful and accommodating, a few going out of their way all over the store to find exactly what I needed !

The Black manager makes you fill uncomfortable

Long lines almost every time I visit. They seem to love leaving one cashier up there to die. I also think it is dumb that we have to stand in line even if we order online. Maybe you all should have separate lines.

You can tell the Store Manager doesn’t have any ownership in the business. Stood there socializing with another employee in the doorway of the store and said they were closed. I ended up at Hobby Lobby with in five minutes and got great service framing several cross stitch projects.

Michaels is a great craft place! Prices are okay and the options are great for me. As a childrens librarian, I need a one stop shop to get all the craft supplies I need and if I dont use them I can return them helps out when you are using program money. I have used Michaels for craft supplies, frames, and Saturday kids crafts workshops. Really love it!

Terrible customer service. Not sure of her name, but the attitude of the manager is horrendous. Waited in line outside and when someone walked out, naturally I walked in. She rudely asked me what Ithought I was doing and when I explained that someone had walked out, she told me to wait outside. That attitude from a customer service representative of a company is unacceptable. Hire better people

Poor customer service. Lack of care may come from being short staffed and a office bound manager. I had asked about molds and was told they could be on the left side of store or the back right or the back. As we were up front that was ruled out I guess.

It is a fun store. I wished it offered those boxes for 5 dollars like the other stores.

Very hateful lady answering phone and bringing out curbside pickups. My wife called twice for pickup. The second time, the hateful lady basically called my wife a liar and showed major disrespect when bringing out the order. Customer service at its finest.

I have shopped at this store since the day they opened. I make jewelry, decorate cakes, and paint, so this is where I purchase almost all of my supplies. I go there at least 3 or 4 times a month and I usually stay for a few hours. I love a challenge, so I also dive into new projects. Its my favorite store to go to, so my friends and family give me gift cards for special occasions! ♥️

Great customer service and a really clean store, but I have to give it 2 stars because I cannot shop there because the lights are always flickering. Not great when you have chronic migraines. Ive tried going several times in the last year and they have yet to fix the lights. I feel so sorry for the poor employees who have to work in those conditions.

I like Michaels for the large variety of supplies I can get. I can almost always find what I am looking for here. It can be overwhelming to look through the aisles but its worth the time. There is usually a good price range as well, so I dont feel like I have to pay top dollar to try something new. If I like it, I can come back for something of better quality.

Its always fun shopping at Michaels if you enjoy crafting, but the store is a little sparse right now changing over for the season. I will say that I think the Halloween collection is going to be nice and if you like Day of the Dead they already have a lot of paintable sugar skulls and Day of the Dead figures so I think theyll have a good collection in when they get the store set up.

Love this store. It has almost everything that both my wife and myself are looking for. We have very different hobbies and can go there to find something we both need. Not to forget they have some good craft projects we can do with the kids and good classes during the summer for them.
