We stumbled on this tasty place by accident on our way out of town. It was filled with fresh delicious bread and goodies on site, and we had some absolutely delectable breakfast sandwiches made to order that I can still taste. The staff were mostly busy making things behind the counter, and we had effortless and sweet service. It was clean, breezy, and arty inside, too, and opened onto a chill outdoor seating spot. This group knows what they’re doing. Subtle flavors and rich textures. World class carbs. Highly recommend.

Delicious selection including a variety of fresh bread, scones, cinnamon rolls, and muffins. Love the fresh cinnamon swirl bread for a special French toast birthday treat. La Colombe coffee is always excellent, so glad its offered here. And the VT maple latte was perfect! Thank you for having an accessible ramp and for offering curbside delivery ! Ill be back soon.

Lovely little bakery. The scones are WONDERFUL because they aren’t stuffed with sugar and aren’t too sweet. The coffee was good and the aroma of the shop was wonderful. I could have sat in there with the scent of cinnamon and fresh baked bread swirling around me all day. The staff was really nice and welcoming, too. We enjoyed spending time on the patio surrounded by ivy and red brick. The ambiance was just perfect!

This bread is so damn good I wake up early in the morning just to get it fresh. Feels like living in Paris. And theres an underrated little cafe with some nice pastries.

Best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had IN MY LIFE. Doughy, chewy, SO cinnamony. Dream cinnamon roll. To die for. Get it warmed with icing of course. Excellent coffee too - can’t go wrong with la colombe.

We were visiting family in Vermont and decided to go to Burlington for the day. Your bakery intrigued me, so we stopped in.I bought the cinnamon bread and Im blown away!!! I cant stop eating it and dont want to share! LolI would definitely like to visit again. Maybe a bit earlier so there are more choices. ❤

I’ve been here numerous times over the last 2 years and I’m never disappointed. Well, disappointed when they sell out of something. I started calling or ordering online and have had little to no issues placing the order. The cinnamon bread is so good and the challah is wonderful. I miss the blondies but the brownies are a good filler. The bread is so fresh but do freeze it if you won’t eat it all right away. We’ve sadly had to toss slices that got moldy. I’ve never noticed a change in taste after defrosting the breads. Highly recommend. Even the lunch options are tasty and worth it if you want a great lunch.

Got the sal breakfast sandwich which had fluffy egg whites topped with tomatoes and pesto on toasted buttery bread, SO GOOD! They also have bread samples and tons of different bread loaves. Outdoor seating area also great during pandemic!

The bread is baked fresh daily, and their is a rotating weekly schedule of flavors, which they print out for customers and also have available on their website. Everything from savory to sweet, holiday specialtys including delicious rosemary rolls around Christmas, Hallah and Irish soda bread to name a few. They even have treats for your pooch.The cooler boasts a small collection of somewhat eclectic beverages and they offer a nice (currently to go) lunch menu with limited hours.Since The Plague has begun, they have removed the tables from their establishment. At some point in the future they may return. The atmosphere is open, and the stained glass by local artists, in the window is a nice touch of ambiance.Grilled Cheese & French toast are phenomenal with this bread. Try French toast with the cinnamon swirl and enjoy your new favorite breakfast! I imagine Egg in a hole would also be fantastic, a hearty delicious start to your day for sure.My experience yesterday was a bit out of the ordinary, the shorter male cashier had a bit of a strange attitude, and it seemed only directed towards me, but besides that, I have nothing but good things to say about this place.The staff is typically warm and welcoming, (two other people gave me warm hellos yesterday before I even placed my order) They also offer a slice of your choosing with or without butter, to enjoy while you wait (Though based on my friends experience yesterday, apparently now they frown upon you actually eating it in the bakery..)They have a punch card, as many places do now, but this is one that you will actually use and reap the delicious benefits.

Food was good, service super. We had a wonderfull afternoon Witherspoon the perfect view.

Visited in the begining of March and loved this cafe. Had a tea and a baked stuffed bread roll that was out of this world amazing. They heated it up so the cheese and pepporni warm and it was very enjoyable!! Would visit burlington again just for that stuffed roll!

You won’t find croissants here, but there is a nice selection of mostly American-style loaves (farmer’s white, honey wheat, etc). Bread was tasty, and the staff here are generous with bread samples. Cozy and relaxed space.

Bakeries abound in Burlington. But, this location is great as an eatery and as a place to grab a flavorful loaf of unique bread for dinner and/or a special occasion or holiday. The staff is very helpful -- as are the samples! Parking is there but crowded. The selection and variety of baked goods makes this place attractive. Recommended!

The bread was amazing.. the cookies i had.. were out of this world.. and the samples..how are you still in business giving samples that size..??? The samples were huge... I love that every day they have different breads coming out.. definitely a must visit when you are in town

This bakery/cafe embedded in the Arts District has great coffee, delicious fresh bread, a unique breakfast sandwich as well as muffins and cinnamon buns. Theres parking, its accessible, and the bakers are super friendly! Add it to your list. Will be back for sure.

Love coming here whenever in Burlington. Had the Appleachian salad. Awesome blend of apples, bacon, gorgonzola cheese, pesto and salad greens. Picked up several loaves of Cinnamon Swirl bread, along with Dakota seeded, and Sourdough breads. And a bag full of chocolate chip oatmeal raisin cookies 😁😁😁

A utilitarian bakery, come get your delicious bread, grab a coffee and see you next time. But thats ok because not everyone wants to be a coffee shop.They give away free samples of their bread, like flights of beer, you can choose, taste and buy and I bought the cinnamon loaf and I think its gotten better since I bought it home. Go get some bread.

Great baked goods! A bit pricey for lunch but certainly worth it. Samples are insanely sized sometimes and can add some real value. Perfect spot for breakfast or a treat for your office.

Breads are too dense and wet. No differentiation between the crust and the bread itself. Many different varieties, yet they all taste very similar to one and other. Yeast flavor is too forward.

Pretty great, although busy. Might want to just take your sandwich and go if it looks full. Had a great BLT pannini although I dont usually go for that, but they put the greens on after cooking the sandwich to cut down on the wilt. Major props for that detail.Free bread slice was great and the loaves look and taste great, but definitely more of a treat yourself kind of deal instead of your everyday bread unless you have a money tree in your living room like apparently the rest of Burlington does.

This place goes out of their way pretending to be “local” when in reality they are a massive chain. Don’t be fooled! They are Panera Bread in disguise. A snake in the grass.

I love to bake, and my best efforts havent come near the quality of every item Ive tried here. They grind their flour fresh each day, and they alternate specialties each day of the week. You may want to schedule your visit for brownie bread day....

Terrible I had my mom with her cane and we were harrassed for parking in the handicap spot. We have a handicap sticker. We went to walk over around the corner and the gardener was pacing around my car witha shovel. He verbally confronted my mom. We had to leave before getting bread. Totally bummed but never going back

Service was exceptional...ly slow. It was practically dinner time by the time we got our sandwiches. The person at the table next to us, most likely due to his extreme hunger, lost track of time and almost missed an important meeting. I got the curry chicken salad sandwich which was ok, with a bag of chips and a tea it ran me about $13, which was a bit overpriced given the quality/service. Oh... and my co-worker got the buffalo chicken and was quite sick shortly thereafter... so theres that too...

Everyone was nice enough but prices seemed a tad high and options on the menu were less than thrilling. I would try it again, but it really just seemed like a Panera Bread.

Breads are great and the service is good, but it can get expensive with some items. I would recommend the cinnamon bread for French toast.
