Lots of choices and the prices were very competitive.
This ulta has really gone down hill in recent years unfortunately. It is much smaller than typical ulta stores, so they dont always have everything new coming out, no big deal though. They always have so many products out of stock (whether its truly OOS or just not on the shelves I dont know). Employee Tia is very kind but I wish I could say the same about the other employees, funny I go in every few months and the ONE person on register is always the only employee doing anything. The rest only huddle around the fragrances and talk and stare at how long the line is for one cashier. Good luck finding any help even if you ask the ones helicoptering the prestige sections, they still dont know much.
So every time I go to this store there will a lot of employees standing around and one cashier, why? Also yesterday I bought a lot of things and today I wanted to return items that I tried but didn’t work for me. So I go to cashier which was super sweet and nice, I wish I could remember her name. However when my sweet cashier asked for help from Arianna, this chic acted like a super B****! Why be mean to the only person in the store working? Then I see this girl Arianna talking to an older lady running her mouth bad mouthing someone else. I needed some help finding what I was looking for and asked she was so rude!!!! She slammed her hands on all the products and was like there you go. I mean the worst employee I’ve ever seen!! Arianna find another job, maybe try being nice your rude and need to be fired!
I shopped at this location for the first time yesterday and spent a lot money. During the checkout I was not asked for any personal information other than my phone number and I declined. I returned today with my receipt to return a $23 item and they wanted my name, email address and phone number. I provided the receipt and they insisted on having my contact information or I could not return the unopened, unused item with the receipt. Everyone please be leery of any company that will not service you without your private information. Cyber security is a real problem in this country and companies are being hacked daily, sell your email address and phone number as well. I will never due business with a company that forces me to provide my private information to do business. If you shop at Ulta and are starting to get spam phone calls and a lot of junk email it is because Ulta or some other company sold your personal information.
WORST ULTA EVER! Everyone that works at this location should be personality sued for how they DISCRIMINATE and harass customers.They have no regard to religious or medical exemptions regarding masks. The store manager will threaten to call the cops on you and the district manager will stand behind her decisions.Nobody should support such a vial company that treats customers second class citizens.

They are still requiring the masks to be worn in store, even though the mandate has been lifted! Employees were EXTREMELY rude about enforcing the masks. Almost always find what I need here! Some ladies are friendly and some just talk among themselves and you could stand waiting for help for a while. They should walk around asking guests in the store if they need help rather than huddling together
They have some of the most rude workers Ive ever experienced in a retail store. One particular experience stood out - I was looked up and down, but never once talked to. I felt unwanted as a customer. One of the employees, Renee stepped and stood in front of me while I was in an aisle looking at products and said nothing along the lines of excuse me in fact she said nothing at all. As a retail manager, I not only talk to all my customers but I never inconvenience them even if Im busy. It was clear they just wanted to take my money and not convert me to be returning customer. I literally shop online to avoid this place or travel further out.
I went for a simple blow out .she wouldn’t even wet my hair to blow it out on dry hair .hmm then it look frizz as all get out because my hair is naturally curly so then she flat iron the hair she got mad because she flat iron the same section over and over again and it wouldn’t curl well duh you flat iron to death surprised she didn’t burn it off ..this place went downhill since Cara left, .

From helping me find my 3 year old little girl the perfect thing to keep her entertained for hours to pointing me to the right scar cream... the staff and the quality are more than amazing.No matter how busy, Sonja helps me find my favorite hair product (American Crew with Elvis on it and it is green...forming cream) and keeps me informed on when the new frangrances are going to drop.thanks eternal.Big Sam
All the employees were helpful being my 1st time being there. They werent just trying to push the expensive stuff on me. They politely showed me the sale items and a very hefty 90% off clearance section. Items I purchased would have been $211.97. Paid $21.19. Cant get those deals anywhere else. They were all so kind & helpful. I love when I go somewhere with a great shopping experience A++++++ here!!!!
2019. Jennifer in the Hair Salon is very talented and knows her products and hair. Ulta is very fortunate to have her there. Her methods are comparable to large cities high dollar salons. She is wonderful and you will not be disappointed!!!! Love her!
I stopped in to peruse the shelves, see if there was anything I was interested in buying. I should have left as soon as I saw the store.I use a manual wheelchair to navigate. The doors were heavy and not automatic, which already posed an obstacle to my shopping. What made it worse, however, was that the entryway to the store was blocked by five displays, none of which permitted enough room between them to let me wheel myself through. I managed to get past with some help, only to find that EVERY aisle in the store was blocked by large displays that, once again, left only enough room to walk around - NOT to wheel myself. The store was FULL of ADA violations and COMPLETELY unnavigable without assistance.I may be disabled, but I am an independent adult. I deserve the dignity to shop without someone having to push my damn chair the whole time.

Great place to find most of your beauty needs. The staff is usually helpful and friendly. I love that they will try to help you find and sample makeup to suit your features, needs, and style. If theres something that you want and cant find at a corporate retailer or drug store, you can probably find it here.
Catherine, the aesthetician, is completely wonderful. I would give her five stars! In fact, it is because she was so great that I felt like being as generous as I am with these stars...However, the manager (I regret not to have gotten her name, blonde woman, appears to be in her 50s) is not only one of those rude salespeople who makes you feel pressured and uncomfortable (perhaps to be expected as a manager in retail?), but she is also completely DISHONEST! During my first visit ever in this store, she gave me a pamphlet with information about some of their services. She verbally confirmed the prices listed and pointed out a coupon in the pamphlet for new customers. I returned only two days later for my facial appointment, and after my great experience with Catherine, not only did this manager inflate the price of the service I booked with her (based on what she pointed out), but she also refused to honor the coupon! Because of this very poor business practice, I declined any additional purchases at this store.Another thing to mention, she had entered my appointment incorrectly into the system, so they had expected me the day before! (My appointment card had the correct information written on this, to be clear that this was not my error!) I know mistakes happen, so I would have never bothered to mention that, only now I felt I should share this experience as well, because I imagine she is not a particularly helpful or productive person to work for.If I ever go back, it would only be for Catherine, but I am more likely to try other locations first (and if I happen to see that woman elsewhere, I would leave immediately!). Sorry, but first impressions matter, especially in brick-and-mortar businesses. I would honestly rather buy online and wait than give her my business.

Complete waste of my time. I typically shop at Ulta in Greensboro- Friendly Center - where the staff is always amazing and the shelves are always stocked. That being my “idea” of an Ulta experience, I decided to stop by the Ulta at Alamance Crossing in Burlington on my lunch break (I work 4 minutes down the road). I am very much in need of the majority of my beauty supplies. I was completely prepared to spend an alarming amount of my hard earned paycheck and know exactly what I need to make the trip quick. Or so I thought. ONE item was in stock on the shelf of the estimated six items I was seeking. ONE. When I looked for assistance, visibly in need, I found no one. I THINK maybe one lady may have been an employee due to her signature fanny pack but she was a bit more casually dressed and entirely too busy playing in lipstick shades to help so I didn’t want to disturb her lest I be wrong in my assumption. After a good 13 minutes of dancing around the same curious customers in need of assistance, I walked to the back of the building to the salon to find one sole hair dresser who looked around and told me “if I needed something specific, I have to ask the cashier” (odd but okay). Back across the store to the front to wait in line behind the ONE sole cashier where I eventually had to rudely interrupt the current transaction (apologetically) to ask for assistance and was told “Um, someone should be there”. Deep breaths. Okay. Back to the section with ONE item and back to the now colorfully decorated lips of the “Could be/Maybe Employee” with the fanny pack. 7 minutes later, I returned the only item I had in hand to the shelf and left. No food for lunch that day, just a bad taste in my mouth. I was late returning to work with no makeup and no more patience left for the remainder of my work day. Awesome. As much as I would like to say I will stick to Friendly Center’s Ulta, I think this experience overall has turned me into a full time online shopper. NEGATIVE FIVE STARS.

This is the ulta that I go to most of the time. Everyone is really nice, and theyve upgraded their selection lately so thats pretty awesome.My only issue is that most of the associates will help you on the prestige side of the store but not on the other.

Good stuff first. My wife loves this place. Ulta has a lot of products to choose from and the store is usually neat and organized. Now the bad. I think prices are way to high. Im pretty sure a $20 bottle of shampoo will not clean any better than a $3 bottle of Suave or Dove from Wal-Mart.
I have never been to this Ulta but I went in today because I was in the Burlington area. Let me tell you, the current associates are either rude or incapable of helping in general. There was a cashier who just stood there and watched the other cashier ring people up when the line was long and she was just running her mouth to someone the whole time and ignored the two people behind me who asked if they could be rung up. She had blonde hair in a pony tail and she was skinny. I wish I would have caught her name so I could report her but man it was rude. Also they literally had zero product in stock that I wanted. I will stick to the one in friendly center, Greensboro.
The Burlington, NC location, as well as it’s employees are a joke. So apparently today at 5:00, the mandate for face masks began. Whatever, I’ll comply and wear a face mask. However, when you’re refusing customers who come into the store without a face mask, yet your employees are wearing their mask below their nose, what’s the point? You can’t have a “rule” then pick and choose how to implement it.
Always a pleasure to shop here! With the Friendly and helpful staff, well lit and clean aisles and over all upbeat aesthetic, no one should ever have a complaint. One of my favorites!

A very large inventory of many brands, even the hard to find brands. And they carry Gluten free products from hair products to lotions to make up. Definately worth checking out!
So today I went to Ulta and when I walked in there was two or three employees standing around talking. They didn’t greet me at all. I walked around the store for almost 10 minutes and no one ever asked if I needed help or addressed me. Then there was a male employee there who walked right past me to help someone else. I spoke with the assistant manager and she apologized and said she could help me after she was done helping someone else. My money is just as good as anybody else’s. I walked around a little more and finally someone from the salon tried to help me. At that point I’m over it. I didn’t even want to to put any stars but I wanted to give my review. By the looks of someone of the other bad reviews, I do not see a response from management. Unless they respond directly to the customer. Well there you go. If management doesn’t care, then why should the employees. But I will give the young lady from the salon a thank you for showing me who the manager was an then trying to assist me.
The products are always good. But no one offered to assist me in finding what i needed. It may have been because i wasnt dressed. I had a hat on, shirt snd jeans. I spent $67.00 on 2 items. I may have spent more if someone had said may i help you but they were to busy chatting.
Products are a little expensive but as my wife tells me you get what you pay for.

My one stop beauty shop. I get my make up, cleansers, and hair care all here. They have knowledgeable staff that can answer all my product questions, plus a great loyalty program.
Enjoy going there, plenty of different brands of everything. I personal enjoy the (hempz- brand), since I have dry skin. Theyre willing to take time and help you understand the products.

Came here to pick an item up for my daughter. Came straight from work in uniform (work outside - 90s today). Employee sneered up & down at me upon entering - didnt speak. No one offered help. Stood at register to pay, with no one to ring me up. Cashier continued to stock shelves right behind me.Guess you have to be a beauty queen to get treated like a human in here.

This rating speaks only to the salon services and more particularly the “skin therapist” Destiny. She seems a little nervous while doing eyebrows. She waxed, trimmed, and plucked on eyebrow before doing anything to the other. Once she moved on to the second eyebrow, she realized they were not symmetrical because she was not able to compare along the way. She then had to go back to correct the first eyebrow which consisted her re-waxing. She plucked my skin rather than hair several times. I will not be going back to her.
The salon has messed up my hair TWICE now. First, I came in to get my hair dyed from pink to black and she left so many patches undyed it was ridiculous and she really let me walk out like that and expected me to come back in a second time to get it fixed when it should have just been done the first time. Then I just came in to get my hair cut short and I was looking for some guidance on how I should get it and she was no help. Then she cut my hair shorter than I wanted and did a horrible job of it. She said she would give me layers but instead just cut my hair at random different lengths and made my hair go in all different directions and it just looks choppy and horrible. Plus one side of my head the hair is way shorter and its very noticeable. Everything just looks so uneven and completely unprofessional. I also asked her to help me do something about my hair that had grown too long and was in my face which she ignored and when she finished my hair she just left a ton of hair covering half my face and sent me off like that. It looks ridiculous - do not get your hair done here.
Horrible service, employees were snobby and no help. They all just talk amongst each other and make you feel like they are talking about you. I prefer sephora.
I love buying my cosmetics and skin care products from ULTA. The staff is very knowledgeable about most products and most products at the store have samples to try before you buy! I like their return policy if a product does not work for you, and collecting points as you buy products to earn reward money is a huge incentive to buy all your products in one place!
I love going here with my girlfriend, we have made loads of friends! Its not just for girls either they have mens colognes and hair products that I frequently buy, as well as a salon with wonderful Cosmetologists.
This store is super pricey, they could really do more promotions or lower their prices, but its a nice store!

Do not use the app to make salon appts. You will receive confirmation emails after you set the appointment...and even the day of. For appointments that do not exist.My mother (who is not good with anything invloving the internet) asked me to help her set up an account on the Ulta App, so she could get her hair cut and styled. She wanted to move away from the 10 minute haircuts, and was willing to pay for this service. I set her account up, made her appointment, and showed her the confirmation email.Fast forward to today. She goes at her set time, only to be told by a very mean girl that she did NOT have an appointment, and did she actually call and set her appointment? When my mother inquired about MAKING an appointment, she was then told they were pretty booked, but she could try for next week. All this is said in a way that when my mother called me from her car in the parking lot, she was in tears. She felt defeated, and what is worse? The girl, who I learned is Ashley, made her feel as if she was not welcome there.I dont know how everyone else feels, but you DO NOT make my mother cry. Especially when she does not cry over simple things such as a misunderstanding over a hair appointment.Shame on you, Ashley. I truly hope you do not treat your own mother that way.

Im a tired, busy mom of a toddler who can never seem to get the right makeup colors! I visit Ulta with the same dim hope of finding that perfect blush and foundation...enter Angel! He must have sensed by desperation and offered to help. In less than 5 MINUTES he transformed me from blah to BAM! with just 3 products. He found the perfect colors for everything I needed (seriously who can do that??) and showed me how to apply it all. No judgement, just encouragement! Thank you Angel for making this frazzled moms day!

Im always dissapointed when I visit this store. The staff is a mixed bag. Some are extremely friendly and professional and others are aloof and appear unengaging. If we had a Sephora here, I would have no reason to ever go to this store. The management has historically been unprofessional and will not talk to customers if there is an issue. Watch out for products mismarked or that have tags that day less than what they ring up at the register. I would spend a lot of money here if they were more customer centric.
Drove 40+ miles for a particular palette showing IN STOCK on the website. When I ask the employee in the store where that line would be, she mentions there is some in the back. When she consults with her manager, she comes back to tell me they arent putting it out until tomorrow. I should have purchased online directly from the brand since it is 4 dollars cheaper, but I wanted it today.Since when does a store hold onto items purposefully when a customer is asking for it and the website is showing it in stock? All I got was a blank stare when I said the website shows it is in stock. Smh.

I booked an appointment for a relaxer, already skeptical the prices were not on the brochure and found out the Salon prices are insane. A relaxer..........$88 and includes nothing but just that. If you want your hair flat ironed additional $18, style additional $38!!! Seriously insane.
