I chose the merrillville location because they were able to see me the quickest after I lost my glasses. The team is fantastic, they work together and are completely in sync! Doctor was very clear and helpful, and supported me when I decided I wanted to give contacts another try after 7 years of glasses. The ladies up front helped me stay within budget, but find the perfect pair of frames for me…WHICH WERE READY IN AN HOUR!!!

The ladies at Visionworks were a pleasure to work with. My husband and I were there right up until closing time and they remained patient and helpful and didnt rush the process.

I made an appointment online, and was emailed a confirmation with online medical history. I also received a phone call to confirm my insurance info. Everyone I dealt with at the appointment couldn’t have been nicer: the initial greeter who turned out to be the testing technician; the doctor; the tech who helped pick out and fit me for glasses. I appreciate a friendly staff!

Today is July 2, 2021. I walked into the Visionworks adjacent to River Oaks Mall in Calumet City Illinois, and was greeted by Miranda. I was seeking contacts and wearing my last pair. Needless to say they were hurting and needed contacts urgently. They didnt have my brand but then Erica jumped into action and found a pair for me! I could go to work! Absolutely excellent customer service! Went above and beyond! Thank you ladies Erica and Miranda! Yall rock!!! 😉😌

Called in to place an order of contacts after getting a reminder last month from them, but they lost my prescription from last DoS 12/16/2020. This is the second time this has occurred and while I havent had any unprofessionalism displayed toward me while being a patron, this was disappointing to experience.

Sarah and Lauren were awesome! They helped me pick out nice frames that my insurance covered and my eye exam went so smoothly! Definitely recommend for convenient, polite service.

I cant tell you how attentive and professional the staff are there! One associate Erica was the nicest, most professional person. You can tell she is a good person and cares for patients at her job. Its hard finding any business where the entire team is remarkable. They gave my kids things to keep them busy while being seen. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Visionworks has a special where you bogo, however read the small print, it says without insurance! However the frames are really inexpensive and they can have your glasses ready the next day! They staff there are very nice and knowledgeable! The doctors explain everything to you while there! The check out process was a little longer but they were busy and very apologetic! So far I will be going back 😊

For my first experience with Vision Works I was very pleased. The staff was friendly and very helpful I would’ve got out sooner but there was only one optometrist. They said my glasses would be ready in 2 weeks or maybe sooner. Can’t wait to get my glasses this will be a first for me I never had to wear prescription glasses.

They were kind and understanding. The associate that helped me was brand new to the job but made me feel completely at ease and kept me laughing the whole time. The whole team was awesome.

12/6 I went in praying that they had anything available for a walk-in, and Ms. Erika helped me out with an available slot that was open. With COVID going around they were really booked online. I went this establishment and my girl Ericka took care of me and Jose. There was a white guy in there and he was very rude, I was the only black customer waiting and he was taking care of all of them before me. I was five mins late to my appointment and he canceled it and told me to wait 2 hrs basically. But Ericka and Jose needs a 10 dollars increase of pay because their customer service was just amazing. Those two really made me feel like family taking care of all my needs.

First the call me the day before my appointment to reschedule me for a earlier appointment at 10am, I get 2 texts telling me to be there at 10am and then 1020am I get there 15min early. Then the young lady spends 20min trying to find my insurance provider; so I call them and get on the phone right away and their telling her Visionworks is in the network andwhen she finally finds me in there now they want to reschedule me for a week away. Very poor service I would never del with them again. I tried call corp8anf I was on hold for an hour.

The staff there was extremely kind and accommodating to my requests. I was shown glass frames that as one of the staff said, “Looked just like me” and they did!!! They were busy cleaning and making sure that all I did however settle on getting contacts per my insurance. health precautions were in place. I will TRULY be back!!!

Ms. Erica is the truth. I was supposed to do this review a long time ago 😒. She is so patient my daughter got her frames here and she couldnt stop talking about aunte lol 😆. I even brought my mom back after my daughters and my appointment.

The staff at the Merrillville, IN Southlake Mall Visionworks was very helpful and very Covid conscientious. While these are truly unprecedented times, the staff including the doctor were all fighting germs as best they could. Sarah G. was absolutely great at multitasking; handling other staff questions, sharing information with her coworkers regarding their customers’ concerns, manning the door and answering the many questions I had (insurance changes) ensuring that we got the best deal possible on our glasses. I must mention that Sarah did all the above tasks while still carrying on a conversation with my 10 y.o!!!! Finding good customer service is no easy feat but finding good customer service during a pandemic, darn near impossible!!!! So kudos to the staff for keeping their spirits up and staying positive during these times. Their continued smiles and gentle joking did not go unnoticed with this parent and deserves a thankful mention. My only suggestion would be to post a huge automatic sanitizer dispenser for customers to use prior to entry.

This place had the worst customer service ever. They was very disorganized, they didnt communicate with one another at all. It took an entire month for me to receive my contact lens, they didnt allow me to try them on once the arrived and once I received my other boxes of lens they wanted to hand me my lens wrapped in an rubber band, I asked for a bag and for sample solution which he gave me an crushed up boxed. Not to mention out of the customers with family members present they asked mine to leave! I would never recommend this place to NO ONE! THE BEST THING ABOUT THIS PLACE WAS THE DOCTOR!! WORST SERVICE EVER!

I really loved going to the vision works in Southlake Mall Merrillville, Indiana. The staff there was super nice and friendly. I will recommend them to others and return there in the future.

This has been an AMAZING experience. I don’t usually have luck with finding glasses because of prescription reasons. Today I found a plethora of glasses. I am so excited for them to come back. Dr Hamang was professional and informative. He explained my vision and helped me understand my options and what ways would work best for me plus other options. The staff was professional and friendly. Everyone was conscious of the Covid rules and made sure everyone was safe. The tech who did my tests was a sweetheart. The salesperson Dana was professional and knowledgeable. The Manager April stopped to say hi and put her insight in on my decision. Overall TEN STARS to the VisionWorks Merrillville Team!!! The Optometrist was very thorough, and explained why he wasnt able to improve my vision in my left eye with glasses. I have multiple sclerosis, and he recommended an Ophthalmologist. Sarah helped me find the lightest weight frames in my favorite color - a light purple. The Staff is very nice. I didnt even need to wait 5 minutes before I had my eye exam. I recommend Visionworks in the Southlake Mall to anyone that needs glasses or contacts.

The crew was extremely helpful and the doctor took his time to explain everything and I was able to walk out the place with contacts the same day. My previous pair was old and one had split.

Both Sarah and Dr. Fray took care of me and made the visit an enjoyable experience. Sarah was very attentive while picking out my glasses and was very kind. Shirley was exceptional. She took her time with me and helped me maximize my purchase by allowing me choice and cost breakdown. The Doctor was nice and did his job. I over heard an associate assistanting an adolescent buyer with their parent over the phone; That took allot of time and patience, and to me was above and beyond service. I will complete my review once I receive my glasses as they were ordered.

This center is not managing the pandemic well. if you call no one answers, you will be on hold with music for ever. If you use the online schedule no one attends to it. you are wasting your time, please look for another vision works close to you for appointment.

My mother and I walked in after a terrible experience somewhere else and immediately was greeted by Monique and felt so welcomed. The entire process ran smooth from there on. They got us in same evening and Sarah was such a huge help in picking out glasses and making sure we chose wisely. We never felt rushed, as if we inconvenienced them, or that we were a bother. Went in on a Sunday afternoon after scheduling my eye exam online. They were busy, but super friendly. It took a bit to be seen, but the staff and Doctor were all very friendly and helpful. Found cute frames, and my glasses arrived exactly when they said they would. Monique was very sweet and helpful, and even gave my little one a pair of sunglasses of her own to keep her occupied! Id recommend them highly, maybe just not on a super busy weekend day for an exam if you have other commitments.

The optometrist that performed the vision exam for my 13 year old daughter was extremely patient and thorough. She recently had a major growth spurt & her vision changed along with that. The staff were all very helpful and picking out glasses was a breeze with their excellent selection.

Sarah was very helpful and friendly, the eye doctor was informative and very nice. They got my insurance to cover most of the costs, so out the door 2 pairs of glasses cost me $50 out of pocket. Amazing deal in my opinion! Highly recommended.

Have been going to this Visionworks for years now and I have never had a bad experience! Always friendly and so helpful! Rick helped me pick out some new frames and was not disappointed the fit was great! Nice to see men working in this field!

Dr. Lawson was very nice and professional... However the same can not be same for the man who claimed to be the stores general manager. He chose to keep focusing on how long it took me to come in for my contact lens check. Then told me itd cost me $20 to get my prescription released. Dr. Lawson truly saved this visit, saw me, released my script and I didnt pay $30; however, this will be my last visit to any Visionworks.

My husband and i decide to check this store out since it has a little more various to choose from then the highland store, and i have to say I dont regret coming in here. The stuff is super friendly there are busy but they try there best to take care of you asap. I was taken care by two stuff member Sarah and Debbie and i have to say they give my husband and i the best customer service EVER!!! Thank you ladies for making our experience there a good one . Would most definitely keep coming to this store.

Overall not too bad of experience. The ladies were helpful and prices were reasonable. However, the doctor that saw my children was friendly but did not work great with children. You could literally since the frustration building up in his voice when my child informed he could not see the letters. Working with children you have to have patience. Children tend to shut down when they feel rushed or frustration from an adult. Thanks!

Horrible!! The protective coating on my lenses began to bubble and peel. They looked like the screen protector on your phone if you dont smooth it out well. I took them in. They made an insurance claim. About a week after receiving my glasses back, the coating yet again bubbles and peels. I take them back in. This time I am told I would have to pay full price for the lenses because the insurance only covers one claim per year! Why is this an insurance claim because I just got these back from the previous claim with exactly the same problem? I am then told that it is my fault because I am problably not cleaning them correctly, and they would not cover the repair. I have been wearing glasses since about 5 years of age. I definitely know how to care for and clean my glasses. I never went back. Service is poor, and quality of product is even worse. Too bad they even get 1 star as they dont deserve that!!

During my visit at Southlake Mall Visionworks, I purchased two pairs of glasses and contact lenses. I am on a strict budget, but was in desperate need of new glasses, I told Joe this and he went above and beyond to make sure that I stayed within that budget. Let me first say Great customer service from Omar and the staff.I went to Visionquest and was blowen away with there prices.I have VSP covers, I looked around for a pair of glasses after my exam on my eyes. Now here is the part that blow my mind. I looked at a pair of glasses, they werent name brand. So the young lady told me the price for the eyeglasses, my lenses,and transition it will be $408.09.I asked the young lady did you add all my discounts from my insurance she said yes. OMGI left there shaking my head and running out of Visionquest. The next morning I was at Visionwork with Omar with the same prescription and was charged $62.19 with my discounts from VSP. Visionwork is were you want to be..Will be back in May with my husband to get him a pair. 10 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟s all the way around.

Very good technology, but customer service it is very slow, to finish an appointment (such appoinment was for my wife) we wayted for 3 hours, 2nd app. 2 hour to finish the firstfirst, almos 5 hours to finish the appointmen to get the prescription for my eyeglases.

Needed sunglass lenses replaced in a short amount of time, they were able to do it in exactly 2 hours, and all was good. Additionally, they gave me a bit of a discount on my lenses! So for quick lens replacement, I would highly recommend them . Both service representatives that helped me with my order were very courteous, knowledgeable, and quick.

Over all I felt I was on a bad carnival ride. The help was Place moret youre sitting going to the steps of their script of how to make a sale than actually listening. I cant tell you how many wasted hours including coming back as they just cant get a simple pair of reading glasses correct.

Visionworks went above and beyond for me! My son had head-butted me and broke my old pair of glasses. I went in for an appointment and they told me it would be about two weeks before my glasses would be ready. I called in just a few days later and asked if by chance at least one of my glasses would be done soon so I could pick them up because my glasses had broke again. Monique went above and beyond to make sure that one of my pairs of glasses was ready before the other and I picked them up the same day! Every staff member that I encountered was absolutely fantastic and made buying my glasses a wonderful experience!!! I would definitely recommend Visionworks in Merrillville and will be going back! By far the best customer service Ive experienced in a long time!
