I have been going to Dr. Lewis practice for quite some time and he never disappoints.   He is professional, he spends as much time as needed to answer questions and he has always done a great job... and the office equipment is kept up to date with leading technology.   I must admit that I did not think an Eye Care professional in a Costco would be so good.

Dr. Lewis was incredibly friendly and helpful. I really appreciated the amount of time he spent explaining the options I had for contact lenses, as well as walking me through my eye health tests. He by far has been the most helpful eye doctor Ive ever been a patient of. I highly recommend him.

Outstanding experience! From the start, with the admin staff, they were very kind and got me in quickly for a checkup via their cancellation list -- covid restrictions were made simple by their team -- Dr. Lewis is exceptional in his explanations of eye health, treatments and solutions. A friend recommended Dr. Lewis and I’m really glad I took her advice. My appointment started on time. The staff were super friendly and efficiently stepped me through initial testing. Once they finished, Dr. Lewis appeared and immediately began a comprehensive exam. I really appreciated how everyone respected my time. That said, the exam itself was pleasant and relaxed and Dr. Lewis took the time to listen carefully to all of my questions and provide clear and complete answers to each one. It was obvious that Dr. Lewis really cared about me as a patient and that his top priority was making sure that I had the best vision possible.

I’ve been searching for a good eye doctor for many years and I’m so happy I finally found one! At most eye clinics the doctor just goes through their step by step protocol without really addressing my specific concerns with my prescription still being unclear and contact lenses being uncomfortable. I’ve left eye exams at different clinics year after year not happy/comfortable in my lenses but the doctor just saying, this is what the machine says, we’re sorry we’ve tried a couple contact brand that aren’t comfortable, and that is that. But Dr. Lewis was very thoughtful in his recommendation and explained everything to me about what I was experiencing and it all made sense for the first time. He gave me a prescription with minor changes that made a positive difference. He also recommended a contact lens that is far more comfortable than any others I’ve tried in the last 20 years. He is very good at what he does, he cares about his patients, and provides excellent service. I recommend him to everyone I know!

Dr. Lewis is a great doctor. I was in need of an eye exam as it was past due. He listens, takes his time and answers any questions you may have. I never felt rushed. My prescription had only very slightly changed and he didnt feel I needed new glasses. He said he could definitely prescribe it though, if Id like. It was nice given that option and that additional services or costs werent forced on me.His front staff are just as welcoming and helpful.Recently came back in with my son, who he took great care of also.Thank you Dr. Lewis for your great care and patience with me and my family!

Dr Lewis is a great Doctor. Ive been going to him for the past 4 years for my eyes. He takes the time to answer all your questions and offer you all the available options for your vision needs. If you should ever need more than what he can do he will refer you to the best in the field. I always feel confident when I go in for my appointment that Ive had the best care. Hes also a very nice and personable person. His support staff is greattoo.His office is in Costco and you can go to him even if you dont have a Costco membership. How great is that? Lots of parking and easy to get to.

I recently needed an eye exam because I was having problems with my contact lenses. After checking out the optical section of the East Vancouver Costco, I decided to make an appointment with their optometrist Dr. Lewis. What a great experience!Rhonda at the front desk was very friendly and she was able to get me in for an appointment in just a couple days. She checked my vision insurance, and was able to let me know the total cost of my contact lens exam up front.I found Dr. Lewis to be easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable. He listened to my problems, and was able to recommend new daily disposable contact lenses that have been great for my eyes. His equipment is state of the art as well. The Optomap device let me see the back of my eyes without having to be dilated. Not having blurry vision when I left the office was a huge plus.And all of this for a lower exam fee than I have paid anywhere else. Thank you Dr. Lewis and staff for your excellent care!

Then on top of that, he called me the following day to tell me about a couple of products that may help me (which I wanted to know about). Dr Lewis has been caring for my eyes for several years. He has managed my routine care with a perfect mix of professionalism and friendliness. When my vision seemed to be steadily decreasing, he had the insight to recommend I be checked for cataracts. Both eyes were ready for replacement He also discovered some very minor retinal irregularities and referred me to the appropriate Dr. By catching it early, the repairs were minor and quick. At 62, Ive been seeing eye doctors for 53 years. Dr. Lewis is one of the best! I wouldnt think of letting anyone else care for my vision!

I have been seen by Dr. Lewis now for the last 6 years. He is the best in the Vancouver/Camas area, heck I will even go as far at the saying in the STATE. He will take his time and will answer all your questions. I had to see Dr. Lewis again 10 months after my last exam because I couldnt see clearly and I thought I needed a stronger eyeglasses. Well turns out at 54 yrs. old I needed Cataract Surgery in both my eyes. He recommended Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute. Just finished with my 1 month check in with Dr. Lewis and I will not stop praising him. I can see soooo much better now thanks to him. His front desk staff Rhonda and Gabby are also wonderful and extremely helpful in every way. Thank you Dr. Lewis!!

I have been taking my elderly parents to see Dr. Lewis since 2011, and I cannot say enough positive things about him. He is very patient and customer focused, takes him time to explain all relevant details to the patient, and listens carefully in order to assess needs. He also did a free follow up appointment to try and figure what is wrong with my moms new glasses when she had issues adjusting to her new pair. I always have to translate a little for my parents throughout the exams and his patience and level of care are outstanding. Thank you Dr. Lewis and Costco for affordable and excellent service.

I can not emphasize enough what a lifesaver Dr.Lewis and his staff are. I was experiencing a horrible pain/ scratch in my eye. I went to the ER and left in the same condition if not worse than before. I was told to follow up with my optometrist. I called the eye doctor I usually use and was told they couldnt fit me in. I called every place I could think of and could not get an appointment. I then called Dr. Lewis and described my problem. The receptionist assured me that they could get me in. I scheduled an appointment for 5pm. It was early in the day, and I was in pain. But 5:00 was better than nothing. Twenty minutes later Dr.Lewis personally called me back, he was sympathetic and offered to work through his lunch to help me. When I got there he was thorough, kind and patient with me. He diagnosed the problem (a scratched cornea) and treated it efficiently and effectively. I felt relief in no time. I will NEVER go to another optometrist. Dr. Lewis and staff have won my loyalty. I cant recommend them enough.

I’ve been to my fair share of optometrists in Washington and Oregon over the years. No one rivals Dr. Scott Lewis at the Costco Store in Camas. I felt immediately comfortable with Dr. Lewis. His demeanor is gentle and friendly. He explained all aspects of my eye examination in a thorough, efficient, and thoughtful manner. He took time to respond to my questions, explore possibilities for treatment, and commiserate over some recent research I had read. Reflecting Dr. Lewis’ outstanding patient rapport and expertise is his staff. From the moment I scheduled my appointment to when I left their office on examination day, Rhonda and Lyndsey were excellent. Their welcoming manner, coupled with their genuine friendliness and concern for my comfort and well-being, puts them at the top of my list for customer service. It had been a few years since my last check up and I was in need of a RX for new glasses. I have worn glasses for over 50 years and know many visits to the eye Doc! I must say this was one of the best visits ever! The office staff and Dr. were very low key, easy to communicate with and I was in and out before I knew what was going on. The quick turn around is due to the new state of the art equipment Dr. Lewis has in his office. I am a curious sort and asked about this equipment. The Doc took his time and explained to me the great strides in technology in the last few years. The visit was painless, inexpensive and comfortable. I received better, faster, state of the art, and more affordable eye care from Dr. Lewis and the Costco team than any other eye care clinic I have been to. I wasnt sure what to expect with the clinic being in Costco, but my expectations were exceeded! My husband was having a problem with his eyes, late on a Friday afternoon. We called Dr. Lewis Office and he was booked the rest of the day! After explaining my husbands issue to his nice Assistant, Rhonda, she relayed my concerns. Dr. Lewis took the phone and after asking a few more questions, told me it was best we come in immediately. Staying late to ease our worries, the doctor was very sincere and thorough in his exams. It would have been a long weekend, to say the least, if Dr. Lewis hadnt been so kind. I recommend him whole heartedly, hes very knowledgeable and passionate about eye care.

We moved here 4 years ago...I asked around for recommendations for a good eye dr. Ive always thought I had a difficult prescription because no one seemed to be able to get it right! I would get contacts but couldnt see close up. Nothing worked so I had those ridiculous readers all over my house and car. I also wore readers w my glasses! I had several people recommend this Dr. The fact that he is in Costco is such a plus! I grab groceries after my appt. He is amazing! I sat in his office and told him that I was struggling w all the readers and couldnt see close up w my glasses or contacts. He recommended a contact for my left eye to see close up and a contact for my right eye for distance. I was so impressed w the time he took to just listen to my concerns! He even had this solution that no one had ever mentioned before! He let me wear a pair to try. He didnt want me to buy any boxes until I was sure the prescriptions would work. It did. I am seeing better than I ever have. I even dropped a contact and lost it. His office gave me a sample to replace it so I didnt waste a pair. He goes the extra mile for all his patients. He is less expensive than most eye Drs because being in Costco he isnt paying the crazy overhead they pay. He accepted my vsp insurance as well AND he has a very nice and knowledgable team. I highly recommend Dr Lewis and his team in the Camas Costco! Almost forgot to mention hes quick to hand you a rebate from the contact manufacturers and sometimes Costo to help w the cost of your contacts that you can use even if your insurance pays! Ive sent several friends over to his office and they have all been very happy w his services.

I am a huge fan of Dr. Lewis, I just saw him yesterday and I can not upvote this guy enough. I had an experience at the downtown oppto and the difference between Dr. Lewis and her is night and day. Thank you for your customer service and taking the time with me to go over the images of my eye; and how they compare to other eyes. Plus the new machine he has is amazing. Today was my first appointment with Dr Lewis and after the excellent service I received I can definitely say I will be back! He was very friendly, gave clear explainations, answered all my questions, and charged me less than half of what Im used to paying for an eye exam.

Dr Lewis is incredible in my opinion.I have wore glasses for 56 years. I have had contacts, bifocals every kind of eye ware available. I never could read much more than 15 minutes at a time all my life. My eyes would get tired red hurt,etc.I recently had Lasik surgery and was really not sure how I liked it. I could see good but still had a problem reading. I kept using the dollar store magnifying glasses etc.I was very frustrated.Dr Lewis was my saving grace. I explained to him I see two TV guides on TV and still could not read any books,I had to close one to see then switch eyes etc. Dr Lewis asked me a few questions and asked have you ever heard of prisms I said no I been wearing glasses for 56 years and never heard that term. He did a couple of tests and said you have prisms, and said I can make you a special perscription for reading and said it will be very weird when you put them on and they could make you sickSo we went for it. I had the glasses made and I did get sick for a hour or so, and then WOW. My brain took over and said this is great. Now I can read for hours at a time. Dr Lewis saved my work and my sanity etc. He is the only Doctor ever to look deeper at my problem and his persistence has changed my life.I cannot say enough about him. He is a fantastic Doctor I would trust him with my eyes my kids eyes. The best eye doctor I have ever been to.Thank you Dr Lewis for helping me.Rick Maddox
