A rubber gasket in the air pump hose is dry and chipped so air only escapes. DO NOT USE THIS FOR THE AIR PUMP. YOU WILL END UP WITH A FLAT.
Its a free bike repair station. Has bike racks, tools such as hex and allen wrenches, and a bike pump. The tools are on wires so they cannot be removed past the stand itself. There is a variety of sizes so you should easily be able to find what you need here. Its in a park with no covering overhead.
The tyre pump worked. I didnt look too closely at the tools since I was just using the pump but at a glance they all seemed to be accounted for.
Tools ok. But the pump... I just don’t get how it works... it has two holes... Can anyone post some guidance?
Great for bikers in need of air and a self service repair rack with attached tools provided by the City of Cambridge. Located in front of the tennis courts and to the right of the library entrance near the bike rack. Schrader (traditional) and Presta (skinny) valves for air. All tools are present.
Bike pump doesnt work
The wrenches and screw drivers are unwieldy. The anti-theft cabling gets in the way of the wrench and the cable keep retracting during use. The cable prevents turning the screw driver more than 180 degrees. I would only use this for the pump, or for an emergency.
The air pump is perfect
