I stopped by at 7pm and the open sign was on but the employee was gone. There was a sign on the door that said Be back soon :). Waited ten minutes, nothing. You just lost my business 👍
If I could give this review zero stars, I would. My family has been loyal customers to this GNC location for several years. My father especially. Most recently, we purchased our favorite protein powder with their buy one get one 50% off promo. Being that this deal was too good to pass up, we bought two knowing that we had some left at home. Now, a few weeks later we opened the first one and instantly knew something was wrong. It tasted like chemicals. Not thinking much about it, we continued to drink it thinking it may had been something else we added to it (strawberries, blueberries, bananas, cashew milk, etc). After a week or so, we confirmed that it was the protein. Being upset, we opened the second one hoping it would not have the same issue. Unfortunately, it did. Yesterday (01/21/2020), my father went in requesting to exchange or return them due to their defects. He was told that they could not do anything about it because it was past their 30 day return policy. My father explained that he understood if he did not want the product but it was the fact something was wrong with it and that it should not be digested. The employee working informed him that the manager, Chris, would be in today (01/22/2020) and that if he wanted to talk to someone higher up, Chris would be the man. My father, understanding that this employee was unable to do anything for him, thanked them and left. Today, he went back in to speak with Chris. Unfortunately, Chris had called in sick and was not there. The employee called Chris who did not answer and then called the owner (Al?) who also did not answer. Finally, one of them called the store back and told them that no matter the issue the protein could not be returned. At this point, it was obvious the store did not care that the product they sold was not edible.Still feeling discouraged, we decided to contact PMD (the protein company) directly. They asked us for the batch number of both containers and confirmed that there had been an issue with it and to NOT CONSUME IT. Weird, huh? They requested that we email them a copy of the receipt and in return they sent us a shipping label to send the defective product back to them. They also are replacing both containers.After this experience, our family will NOT be returning to this location and will be sure to tell our friends and family to do the same. You would think a store that you spend hundreds of dollars at a month would value your loyalty more. Very disappointed.I should also mention that my family has been using the same protein power for YEARS so we know what it should taste like.

I’ve been getting vitamins/supplements from GNC for years. The staff is very helpful when you want to purchase something. In my several years of purchasing, I only returned something once — it was diet pills. The worker there seemed very irritated that I was returning it, and when I told him it was because of my caffeine sensitivity, he told me the average person can tolerate 500mg and was really pissed off the whole time. I drink 50 mg a day of coffee, and even that sometimes gives me jitters.Not that that’s any of his business. I returned the box brand new, unopened. I’m not sure if they receive commission for sales, but every customer should be treated the same way when doing a return like they were when we come to purchase.I felt so uncomfortable the whole time during the return. I even told him my doctor said this was not good for me to take along side anxiety medication, and the sales associate there still wasn’t satisfied with my reason and barely looked at me during the return.It’s okay. Your day will be okay. It’s just a return.
Went in and asked for some supplements. Asked politely said what I wanted and this skinny blonde dude with glasses there kept trying to sell me on things I wasn’t asking about. I asked for creatine dude said take this creatine instead. I said no I want this one and kept going on and on about how he knew more than me😂. Felt very uncomfortable overall. Than I asked what the best flavor of protein gold standard dude tried to get me to buy completely something different! I went with the intention on spending money on what I needed without expecting to be badgered on what I’m buying. Really overall made me want to leave.I would have appreciated just a “this one may be better than this one.” But not telling me I’m wrong 20 times 😂Please educate this man in customer service because I will not be returning to this location as a paying customer.Dude was also a fat skinny dude giving me all the advice I didn’t ask for.This was my rough day at GNC canton
