Do not shop from here if you really care about your health. They had a sale going one today B1G1 on few of the snacks which made me a little curious since Indian stores usually dont have sales, so I scratched this label from the pack and it turned out the product was expired since 4/28. Never going there again! It is very shameful that to earn few buck they are willing to put others in danger.

Its a good store, lots of varieties. Place is big and not cramped.4 stars is for the store, took one star away because of the rude cashier. She rang up for higher quantity than what I had, I pointed that out, she got annoyed as its my fault she doesnt know how to count properly, double counts then fixes on the register. Doesnt apologize or anything which is fine by me but instead turns her head and starts using her cellphone while in middle of transition.

It has good variety of indian groceries.Big in size compare to previous shop.You will get most of spices,lentils.I felt shortage of Haldiram producuts.otherwise overall its good.

The customer service is horrible. Lady at counter hate her job and this reflects in her attitude towards customer. Half of the items in this store do not have price label and its always a surprise during billing. But this time we bought Mangoes that were priced 2.29$ lb, but on bill they charged 4.49$ per lb. I went to the car and noticed it in bill, came back to store with in 5 minutes. I went to counter and showed bill to lady . Well, I was expecting something like - I am sorry sir, let me fix this in your bill . But she said - sorry sir we do not return fresh produce . Seriously- first you charging me more money for mango and on top of it, I can not return these . This is classic - broad day light robbery.Costco we can get organic 6 Mangos for 6 $ and here 1 manago for 5 $ .The uncle behind me in line who overheard this conversation said something in Gujarati to that lady and she quietly did the return .But, I would not recommend this place to anyone .they always have some of these gimmicks in billing to loot you .Make sure you double check price and groceries you bought. Attached are both bills . return was done with in 9 minutes of buying.

Was really excited about the large collection from freezer isle. But when I returned home and opened packaging, I found huge mold on gyro meat. Will not shopping there for refrigerator items again.

The staff here is great and although they are still in the process of updating their inventory theyre more stocked and equipped than they can accommodate in such a small yet well lit and radiant store. Kudos to New Bombay Grocers.

I’ve been going there for years for spices and incenses great quality and good prices. The store is clean and the staff is always nice.

Good Varity Stuff but I am always upset receiving the stuff in plastic bag that has “Ganesh Ji” Picture printed. There should not be any God/Goddess picture printed in shopping bags in the first place as we have immense respect for them. The way bags are re-used, mishandled/kept on the ground or in car trunk, with the Ganesh ji Print on top - is disrespect of God.I always feel uncomfortable cringy feeling seeing it.I am not asking too much, if possible, please start providing regular/Thanks Printed Bags.I am not sure if I am the only one thinking this way???

They mis lead with the price. Price at the shelve is different and bill registry they charge more. When asked they say, price changes every week and we cant keep updating the price tag at shelves.

This place is very clean, reasonable prices and they have alot of variety! Employees are very nice and actually help you find some products and are very helpful when you ask questions about certain products

Good place to get all groceries and Indian sweets. One stop for all Indian vegetables. Comes every Thursday and Sunday Fresh. Spacious and Identifies the aisle information to reach what you need less time. Friendly staff. Carts with locks good idea to reduce man power and self responsible to return them.

Do not go here, there’s a huge price discrepancy on the packages and on the receipt. Please check everything you buy. DO NOT GO HERE

Pretty good variety of groceries and snacks stacked up. Looks like they have started anew. Organizing is needed, which they are getting under control very well. What is lacking in structure is more than made up for by the readily helpful attitude of the personnel...

Needs to be more organized

Place looks clean and they have loads ofVarieties. However, watch out for your stuff. I have only gone twice to this store.They forget to give you “all” your groceries after charging you!I can give them benefitof doubt but this happened twice with me.I reminded them of Jalebi that they forgot to give but then I didn’t realize they had forgotten to give me Dosa batter which I found out once I reached home.They did correct their mistake but kinda odd when it happens twice.They also charged me more for biscuits. Upon asking at the check out, they explained the price applied to other smaller size item. Came home to see the price written on the biscuit pack 3 for $1. They charged me 2 pack for $1.It’s not about money but total experience.

One of the big Indian Grocery store in the area. Good range of food products. However make sure to check for expiry date before purchasing. Items are not so well organized. Best time to visit store is before 5PM to avoid long billing queue.

Clean and huge store. Owner is very nice and co-operative .Great collection of Indian -Soutj Asian Groceries, ghee,oil,cosmetics, Utensils, snacks and a ton of other hard to find items.Very small stock on greens and produce.

Good place for spices

The aisles are narrow and tend to have boxes of stock left along the sides- this makes it difficult to nigh impossible to navigate them if one uses a wheelchair or has a pram. Their selection of products is great. Unfortunately, it can be challenging to figure out how much anything costs because they dont put pricing labels on each individual item, dont necessarily have prices on the shelves beneath each type of item, and dont always put the item that correlates to a shelf price label in the correct place. Queuing up to checkout and pay is a bit of a nightmare, as they have only one queue.

They have a nice selection of indian/pakistani items. They carry both fresh and frozen items. Their sweets are very good as well. The owner is so nice and helpful. Had been going to the previous location on ford road for years. Will now frequent this location,on canton center.

They charged me $20/lb for curry leaves. Seriously??? And then forgot to pack it. I paid for something, drove 3.5hrs home then realized its missing but was charged for it. Not going back again. Beware people.

Disgusting customer service 🤢🤮

Stopped in for my Asian essentials. Extremely overpriced items but I have no choice but to buy from them as they are the closest. The total came out to over $100 asked the rude and slow cashier if I should swipe my debit card or EBT first since I had food and non-food items. He told me debit and I used debit. I assumed I was only paying with debit for my non-food items little did I know he made me pay for the ENTIRE thing on my debit. Instead of trying to fix his mistake he then proceeded to put in his AirPod in his ear. Unprofessional, rude, and horrible employee. I have to pay bills which I won’t be able to anymore because I don’t have enough in my debit. If you don’t take EBT put up a sign or something. I will not be coming back to this location.

Bought this magnificent mouth freshener from New Bombay grocers today and it tasted like stale plastic. Ive encountered a similar situation with the Poha/Murmura they sold. Anything that is packaged and stored for a long time in store, smelled and tasted like plastic. Look out for better grocery store.

Over priced, and it takes long to find an item cause the place isnt really organized. They dont use bags they just put your groceries in boxes

Good spread. Most brands not from India. Most either form neighboring countries. Outdated expired stuff may be up for sale. Be wary. I have had stale smelling snacks ...accidentally bought.

Customer service horrible

This Indian grocery is a great addition to the canton, Westland area. Its updated from their previous location and not too far from that place too. They have bought a bigger place, which gives them good opportunity to arrange the items in a categorised order and they have done it. The aisles are brightly lit and the store also look more clean. Some of the staff members look bored, however the store manager is helpful and well informed.

The recent visit to the newly opened branch was quite rewarding.Enough space, adequately stocked with products, quality brands, and excellent service by staff at counter.For the Indian population here especially this is an ideal shopping location for their needs....Hats off.

Bought a few things from the store, and turns out one of the digestive cookies I bought was expired for about 2 months. I called in to discuss the issue with the store, but staff was very unresponsive. Very rude staff, and unorganized store. Wouldnt recommend at all.

Huge,lot of variety, pricey stuff and not organized. Produce is most of the time stale. No returns or exchanges due to covid-19 .Did not like their samosas.

Store manager should keep sign in front of store that all customer should wear hand gloves and masks before allowing customer enter the store. Please make rules for everyone and stop discriminating. There were many guest inside the store who were without mask and gloves hope you have informed all of them to wear when they visit next time at your store.

They should really cleanup their place. They moved to a bigger place and i expected a change. Looks like their new place is equally bad. I gave 2 stars only because its a one stop shop for indian grocery.
