Had to get a second unit last minute, turned out we had way more stuff than originally planned. Donnie helped us get another unit in no time at all even with almost all the units being full. He was very kind and professional the whole time. The units are very nice and clean, and all the staff are exceptional. Highly recommend iStorage on Chiquita.

Donny and his staff at the 3300 Chiquita location in Cape Coral was terrific and took care of us. We didnt have the smoothest of moves, but no issues with I-storage and the service we received from Donny and his team. I would recommend this location to anyone.

I would highly recommend you go elsewhere. For a couple of weeks the hallway door was broken and I couldn’t get in. When I did finally get in, my storage unit had had an attempted break in. When I questioned what had happened I was met with ‘could have been anyone’..no concern at all. They then tried to tell me that furniture had ‘fallen’ on the exact part of the lock that was attempted to be forced open. (It was pryed on to the point where I couldn’t even open my unit) When I asked about the cameras they just shrugged. I was made to feel very uncomfortable to the point where I moved everything out of the unit. I was given a few day for free to move things out but they refused to reimburse me for even one month, even though I couldn’t gain access!The hallway door doesn’t even have a lock now, and the gate opens without a code. Your stuff is not safe. Extremely sketchy and very poor customer service. There are so many more professional storage units in the capeSorry I don’t like leaving bad reviews but this was pretty unbelievable

Storage units are in high demand all over Florida because of the mass relocation into the state from all over the country, people moving lock stock and barrel just wont have the kind of storage in a Florida home (no basement, hot as Hades attics and cramped garages) to store all their stuff, hence all the new storage facilities popping up, its big biz and the rates match and all these places are full. 10x5 climate controlled 2nd floor unit price just raised to over $80, of course bigger units cost more. I got out of my unit last week.When you consider it will cost you around $1000+ a year to store items you barely need, then learn about all the other monthly service fees (pest, lawn, pool, water systems) that owning a home in FL require, youll find a way to part with that exercise bike you stored and will probably never use and drop storage as your 1st cost cut. Think about it, its like adding over $100 to your mortgage every month.Besides raising rates, this place is decent, good friendly folk are helpful. If you can even get a unit here and absolutely need to squirrel away your excess stuff. This iStorage is good.

Would not recommend this storage unit to anyone. Units smell like mold and are in poor condition. They also increase monthly pricing without notification. If you choose this storage unit, beware and make sure to keep a close eye on your monthly rate increasing.

I went in to scale down to a smaller unit after removing several items out of my unit. They were very accommodating by giving me one right next store so I had a very easy transition. Very professional and friendly! I’ve had no issues and have been with them now for over 8 years! Highly recommend them!

IStorage is a very friendly secure storage system that fits your every day needs. I started out with a smaller unit and realized i would need more space so I went in the office talked with them and with a smile he graciously walked me over to a different unit I loved the space and it wasnt much more money i was switched out in a matter of minutes with no hassles or dirty looks like it was an inconvenience! Jim at call center was informative. I chose this business because they were $7/month less than nearby competitors plus they offered first month free, which competitors did not! Donny was helpful and kind when I signed the lease. Unfortunately, light outside my unit was out,. While visible, the space was inconveniently dark. I reported to, GM, who assured me it would be corrected next day. Also, 2 carts were missing a wheel, also reported to GM and assured would be corrected same week. Security seems sufficient. I do not understand, however, why renters code is required to exit? Location and access is very good for us.

Elevators break frequently down without warning leaving you unable to access the second floor. No way to reach anyone after 6:00PM, so if you have to drop off or pick up anything after 6:00 PM and the elevator is not working, you are out of luck. Calling their after hours number for help is a joke. They place you on hold and every 10 minutes or so they get back on the line and ask you the same questions all over again!!!Obviously no one is monitoring their cameras, so pretty much anyone can gain access to this place, take your stuff and you wont find out until the next time you visit your storage unit.They are really, really good at taking your payments, but heaven forbid you have a problem and try to reach them.If you value your stuff and want to access it whenever you want, find another storage facility.

Had to get a last minute storage area, iStorage was the closest place to me and a friend recommended them. The guys in the office, Boogie and Donnie, were AMAZING!! They got me the best deal for what I needed and were fast and courteous! Boogie has a great sense of humor and will make you smile through the process. Which takes no time at all!! Will recommend them to anyone that needs a storage space.

CAUTION!! ELEVATORS BREAK DOWN FREQUENTLY! Got stuck in the elevator twice, called their customer service (which is out of the country) and was placed on hold for thirty minutes. Rude staff, very unhelpful, no one there after 6:00 PM. Doors to the building are open, anyone can walk in and take your stuff. If you value your property, DONT TAKE IT TO THIS STORAGE. P.s. they are extremely efficient when it comes to billing you, but their service is terrible. Plenty of other storages in Cape Coral to choose from.

The guys on Chiquita in Cape Coral, are the best. When I reserved my first unit online they called me almost immediately to confirm my reservation, welcomed me aboard, and asked me what time I would be in to get everything going. When I showed up, things went very smooth. Unfortunately, I had a lot more stuff than I thought and filled the space. I rented another unit about a week later and the guys had everything ready when I showed up to do the contract and get the unit. Definitely a pleasure to work with.

This is a very well maintained facility with great service. Came in late on a Friday and Donny was more than helpful. He quickly got me in and out and on my way. The next morning I was moving my stuff in and Donny walked by and asked how it was going. I told him think i had underestimated the amount of things i had to store. With that he showed me another unit around the corner and within 5 minutes I had a bigger unit to move into.Thanks for being there Donny. I got everything moved in before the rains hit.

Moving my trailer from Toledo OH to Cape Coral and could not find a place to put it. These guys were exceptional in helping get and secure a space in this location and were very helpful walking me through this from up North. They took the frustration out of this and made it a smooth landing and worry free. Definitely a go to place.

My wife and I utilized this location twice during our move from out of state before getting into an apartment, and then again in preparation for the move into our first home. Boogie and Donnie were professional and and made the transitions smooth. The price was very reasonable. Even though we were located on the second floor, the elevator was large enough to have 3 roll carts full of our stuff to make the moving faster. We felt that our items were secured at all times between the lock they provided when we signed up, and all of the security cameras on the interior and exterior of the building.

The staff made everything super easy and hassle free. Walked in and got a unit the same day. Donny was so helpful and really made moving in and out a breeze. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

The concept of storage is at a whole new level. A multi level storage concept is crazy. If you think moving hard try putting your stuff on a cart up an elevator down the halls to a room. No thanks. Never want to experience that again. To add I wasn’t the one to book a storage unit because I would not put myself nor anyone else in that crazy situation. It’s not like a motel you use a rack for luggage and go onto an elevator but these people are using that identical concept when they shouldn’t it’s a concept that shouldn’t exist.

Needed smaller storage unit while making the move to SW Fl. The guys here were efficient, professional and helped in every aspect in asking me what I was planning to store so they could get me the closest unit with less turns. Climate controlled and everything we needed. Highly recommended and great location.

The management at iStorage was very nice and helpful. It took 15 min from start to finish to rent a unit. Email billing and auto credit card make it extremely easy to rent. The location in SWCape has carts for your use to move belongings. Clean and efficient storage.

I eventually got the truck I reserved, but thus guy didnt seem to have a great connection to the uhaul system

I had a unit there last year, until November. Decided I would move my stuff out and back into my place. Thank god I did when I did. There were rats. Mind you I had a absolutely no food in my unit. Apparently someone decided to store dog food. Needless to say the rats destroyed my mattresses and entertainment system as well as deficated all over my furniture and electronics. Rat feces and urine on most of my boxes. It was horrible. I had the insurance and filed a claim. Made calls and nothing was done. This went on for months so yeah. The management seemed like they didn’t give a damn either at the time. Not helpful at all. I took pictures of all the damage and what not. Oh and the boxes that were salvageable at least I thought....that I moved back home with me...they had rats...that’s right the rats came back to my home. I exterminated them and documented everything. Still the stranger facility was no help. Anyway this place was not a good experience for me at all, will not rent from these guys again. Oh my unit was climate controlled and indoors..in case you are wondering.

This has been my first experience in renting a storage box. Donnie and Bogey are two of the most pleasant people to deal with. The facility is relatively new but is maintained as if it was brand new. Clean, well lit and refreshingly cool in the environmentally controlled units. Looking forward to doing business with them.

I made a reservation and set this unit rental up over the phone with the guys at Cape Coral. In these trying times where inconvenience runs rampant I am glad to know I have storage set up if the need arises.I highly recommend this facility and also being prepared for the just in case.

Read your contract and BEWARE...We paid for climate controlled space. When we emptied or unit we had mold/fungus and RAT damage to everything. Almost $11,000,00 in storage and movers and total loss of $27,000.00 in stored furnishings. After submitting our damage they said theyre not responsible. We then had to hire an Attorney.Here are a few pics we have many more but very disgusting.Response from Rick.We had ALL FURNISHINGS for 2 years! Who the hell would store food for that time? Matter of fact who would store food for any period of time. What about the mold and fungus? I have pictures with water backing up to our door and weeds growing under the door into the unit our climate controlled storage unit... Nothing but Liars!

Paid for a climate controlled unit. After a year in storage and close to $4000. In cost, we lost furniture due to mold and spent 4 12 - 14 hours days trying to get the mildew smell out of our clothing. All bedding had to be discarded and replaced at our expense. We were told there were no issues with the unit and file a claim with our insurance. Would I recommend this facility, no wayAugust 27, 2019After responding to corporate email, I let them know exactly what transpired and was hoping for some sort of response. I can only assume they honestly don’t care about what happens to their customers merchandise, and we’re only one in the Many that used their facility. I am truly disappointed on how they handle this matter and will never recommend them or use them again. For all who consider using this facility you might want to do some research before you make any commitments.
