This place makes excellent bagels and delicious bagel-based sandwiches. Thats just it. Small, competent and tasty menu. Never been unsatisfied with my purchases here. Get the turkey melt! I decided to have my melt on a jalapeño bagel, with pepper jack cheese. Spectacular, spicy, savory, my goodness!!

Great local bagel shop! Been coming here forever. I always stop here to pick up bagels and coffee jugs for my morning corporate meetings. Also my sons favorite breakfast stop for a blueberry bagel with cheddar and egg! Best part is the staff is so nice and friendly every time! Always a bonus!!!

This place is amazing! Flew in for a short trip and was recommended this place from the airport (KCRQ). Hands down cannot wait to fly back into town to go here. Great customer service, explained the menu from top to bottom and was able to answer any of my questions. Overall an excellent experience!

Great selection of fresh bagels and various types of cream cheese(my favorite is the jalapeno cream cheese). They open early and sell out quick. Fast service and great for breakfast any day of the week.

Best bagels around very little wait time. Sure, you must get out of your car. But, the bagels are great. Get there early in the morning because they run out. This is a little tiny place. I like the Everything Bagel toasted with Salmon creme cheese.

Great Bagels and Bagel Sandwiches

I’m staying close by this place for work and I’m originally from NJ so it was awesome to get a great bagel that reminded me of home! Also they have the combo bagel which is a little different from “everything” in that it doesn’t have salt (or possibly other seasonings).. I hate salt on my bagels and never heard of anyone doing this so two thumbs up on that idea!

First timer! Carlsbad Village. Lady working on 7/13 so sweet. I got the turkey club, so good!!! You can tell the bagels are fresh. Great variety to choose from. I will be going back, I already sent pictures to my husband and he wants to try. Definitely recommend,Thank you!!!

Wont be going here anymore. People working their dont care for service. Coffee is terrible, got a small meal that was $14 they had to mix two bad coffees together to make my one large and still charge $3.50. Didnt even heat up some food ordered. Over all the food is not good, over priced and little effort is made by the employees.

The girl working (white hair) there did not seem like she wanted to be there at all. It showed in the fact that I got pretty much no cream cheese on my bagel, and her attitude at check out. they need to do some remedial customer service education. Bagels are fine. Disappointing overall experience really.

Fast, tasty and a great range of bagels. The egg and bacon bagels go down particularly well. Parking is a bit scarce but definitely worth going.

First time here and their bagels are tasty. Some people claim their juice is “freshly squeezed” but in my opinion it doesn’t taste like it. It taste like Tropicana to me. I got their swizz cheese and spinach bagel breakfast sandwich with egg cheese and bacon. The customer service was not good. No Welcome, no Hello or thank you from what I could remember. The lady on the pos was just taking payment she couldn’t even put napkins in my bag. I’m not saying give me great customer service but at least do the basic things customers expect. I’m willing to try this place again in hopes I get better service next time. The cleanliness of where the bagels were is good but other places in the shop seem dirty. This is between a 2-3 star.

The bagels here are AMAZING ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️My all time favorite is the spinach and Swiss bagel with egg, sausage and cheddar cheese. I have also tried other bagels with cream cheese and bagel with their tuna salad. All delicious, no complaints. The staff is friendly and very quick. They have fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee and other drinks.

Unfriendly service, bland bagels, reheated eggs. Even a bagel chain like Einstein makes fresh eggs to order. Does not live up to California standards

My husband and I both agreed our bagels tasted like bread. I couldn’t finish the second half of my bacon, egg, and cheese. They advertise iced coffee but when I asked for it, the cashier looked at me like I was stupid for asking.

Good Bagels! Poor Service, stopped on 12/14 with the family to get breakfast before LEGO Land, the older gentleman running the show was rude and likes to share his opinions with everyone in the store. Will not be going back again.

Rude attitudes from the staff and I watched one of the employees make my bagel and he just slapped it together didn’t even spread the cream cheese it was only on half my bagel lol. Also when I walked in they were both in their phones and didn’t greet me. Rather go to I love bagels!! Better service and better bagels. 👎

This place is delish! My hubs and I have had their breakfast sandwich bagels and bagels with cream cheese. All have been really great. The bagels are soft and very similar to east coast bagels. The cream cheese was awesome with fresh chive onions mixed in. The coffee was good. The eggs on the breakfast sandwich were not made to order but they tasted good and kept the line moving fast. We will definitely keep going!! Love this place!

Great bagels! They have a big selection, from jalepeno to french toast bagels. They also have different types of cream cheese. I got a Spinach Swiss bagel with chive cream cheese and some coffee, they had 4 different roasts.I was amazed at the service. within the 5 minutes of being there 5 customers were served quickly and pleasantly and there were only two employees!

Favorite place to get a bagel. I work across the street so Im there about once a week. Always a new bagel to try and the gentleman working the counter gets me in and out of there in 2 mins.

Grabbed a chicken salad/jalapeno bagel sandwich at Garden State Bagels to go. Fresh bagel, good size portion and they threw in a couple nice deli pickles too.Was promptly greeted and served quickly, and the young woman behind the counter thanked me for my order.I bit pricey - $6.99 for my sandwich - means I wont be eating here very often, but I will be back again to try some of their other menu selections.

I ordered a toasted plain bagel with cream cheese, i could totally tell it was slapped together not much to it. Wasnt toasted at all :-(. Price was not great either not worth giving up quality for. Not horrible place but not coming back. Thanks

We ordered a pumpernickel, tomato Basil and an apple cinnamon bagel... All three were extraordinarily plain and flavorless. Huge waste of calories and money. I can get better bagels at the grocery store :-(

Great bagels, some unique flavors.

Came here with hopes of having a good taylor ham egg and cheese sandwich. Instead what I got was old taylor ham that had little to no taste. And what little taste it did have, was horrendous. Its almost as though they let the pork roll sit out for 3 weeks and then hide it inside my sandwich with hopes I wouldnt notice. Not only was it discolored, the texture was that of a piece of rubber. Im not sure how thats possible. I brought my friends here to show them a taste of New Jersey but I walked out embarrassed having to give them the abomination that this place calls good food. I wish there was an option for 0 stars because thats what garden state bagels deserves. They also dont deserve to claim the title garden state bagels as this is a gross misrepresentation of the state I hail from.

I usually get bagels for my office every week, my usual bagel place was closed and this bagel shop was on the way to work. I ordered 2 dozen bagels and everything went well until it was time to pay. The bagels were over priced and was not worth the $39 I paid. When I asked for a receipt for my expense report because she didn’t give me one, she had an attitude. That will be the last time I go here.
