It’s a lovely office. The staff is super friendly and efficient. Dr. Davis a a joy to talk with. He’s so knowledgeable and kind. They have all the latest technology for eye care. Selection of frames is great. In one visit they perform all the tests for one co-pay. No return visits for every different test. I worked with Taylor. She is a treasure!

Docteur Susanne Daniel is amazing in knowledge, quality of care and dedication to her patients. I am so lucky to have her as my eyes doctor! She is the only one to have put a diagnostic on my eyes condition after so many different doctors! Highly recommend her! Thank you doctor Daniel!

Dr. Dukes is personable and encouraging; she communicates clearly and answers my questions, helping me to understand my vision status and needs so I can make wise decisions and plan for the future. Hilda understands my insurance as well as my prescription; her expertise helps me make the best use of my benefits. I appreciate the range of frames available as well. I first came to Daniel and Davis on a friend’s recommendation, and I wholeheartedly recommend them myself.

3 stars because most of the staff is wonderful and kind, as are the doctors. I will always come here for my exams, however every time I have ordered contacts and/or glasses, I have to wait at least one month (most recently 2 months) for them to come in. I have to constantly call, and most of the time, I am bounced around to a few different people who say they should be in soon, but then someone finally realizes the order(s) were never placed. It has put me in such a tough spot so many times that I simply cannot and will not order from them anymore which is such a bummer. I even asked for a copy of my prescription recently and they didnt even send the right one. The same thing happens to my husband so I dont know if we just have horrible luck or they just need more training for their staff.

Best office in town ! The staff is amazing and walk you through the whole experience ! Best doctors ! They take their time and explain everything in detail ! The opticians are very helpful with frame selection and make sure you get the best quality lenses ! Highly recommended !

More stars are warranted! Ive been going to Daniel and Davis since ~2008 when they were recommended for vision therapy for my son. Vision therapy was a hands-down success! My son has succeeded in school thanks to addressing visual processing deficits with Felicia at Daniel and Davis. My own eye care has been wonderful. I drive a ways to get there because I like everyone in this office!

5 stars... hands down the best eye dr I have ever been to. I had multiple eye issues - extremely high myopia since birth, cataracts, the works... i was treated with respect, kindness and understanding when dealing with my challenging prescription. A cataract specialist was recommended and my vision is now amazing. I continue to go to D & D for my reading glasses and check ups. I cant say enough good things about this practice.

My appointment was their last of the evening. One might think that they rush to head home. That was certainly not my experience on Thursday evening. Dr. Davis and the other employees took time to show concern, and help in identifying my need for a small increase in my eyeglass prescription. I am confident that the glasses will fit and the prescription will be perfect.

My husband and I received eye exams here and were very impressed with the detailed and thorough exam, as well as new technology used. Dr. Dukes was both friendly and professional, as was the rest of the staff. Office was very clean and all social distancing practiced.

We brought our 2 year old daughter here and Dr. Dukes was simply amazing with her. The doctor was so gentle and patient trying to get a thorough exam and she spent several minutes with my wife and I after the exam to go over any questions. We had a wonderful experience and will continue to bring our daughter here. My wife was so impressed she canceled her own upcoming appointment at a different provider so sheherself could be seen by Dr. Dukes instead. 5 stars all the way.

Dr Susan Daniel amd her crew are awesome! Great front office staff and caring vision therapists! We are yet to meet a person in her large office that we couldn’t like. The office environment is warm and welcoming. Dr Daniel is a sweetheart. My son loves her and is happy to make the long drive from Long Beach to go see her. We definitely recommend this office to everyone.

As a matter of practice, Dr. Dukes is very knowledgeable and compassionate. She stands out as a medical practitioner who takes the time to listen and thoroughly exam the facts before prescribing treatment. Dr. Dukes returns every phone call and goes the extra mile to make sure prescriptions are received. Top all that with a great sense of humor and Dr. Dukes continues to be my go to optometrist.

They seem to be very thorough and use all the modern equipment. Staff was pleasant and professional.

Service got worse the past years. The doctors themselves are good, but the additional services this office provides has gotten pretty bad. For once, Just to get a rep on the line for prescription statuses or ordering glasses goes nowhere. Line disconnects and the next answering rep has no idea what to do. I suggest you get the eye test here but order your glasses elsewhere. Better, go to Costco and get better deal and service there.

I have been using this office for over 10 years and have always felt my needs were met. For my most recent appt, I ended up on a very tight schedule and the office got me through the entire process efficiently and thoroughly. I would recommend this office.

We were fortunate enough to be working with Dr. Jenness again. He is an excellent clinician and his gentle warm sensitive caring ways makes him exceptional. My husband had a stroke two years ago and Dr. Jenness always finds ways to work around his disabilities in a positive way.

Dr. Davis is the best doctor Ive had. Hes attentive and friendly and exceedingly competent. The front office, however, has problems. I sent a question by email a month before my appointment to the general mailbox and got no acknowledgement, so I got Dr Daviss direct email and re-sent the question. No response. Other than that - great office and great doctor.

Dr. Chris Davis is wonderful. I enjoy seeing him every year. He listens to your questions and explains everything in great detail. The staff is very friendly and the testing equipment is all state-of-the-art.

Extremely pleased with the service. The employees wanted to do a good job, not just pretend. I was impressed with Melisa Collins who handled my atypical situation excellently. I wanted lenses to help me better focus when playing pool. She was very knowledgeable and patient. I got the frames I wanted within what my insurance would cover. Things didnt go perfect, but they took care of the two issues. Overall I like the attitude of the staff.

I am so happy with the level of care my two kids received yesterday at their appt. They are 7 and 8 years old, and I have never had a more thorough experience at an eye exam. My previous experiences have been a little more rushed. I was able to learn a lot about my kids eyes and specific care for each of them. I have always been told my son was colorblind but nothing beyond that. This time they did extensive testing to find out he was red/green colorblind, with a specific type- protonopia. My daughter ordered new glasses and we received extra tips on therapy exercises we could do from home to help improve her vision. Everyone in the office that assisted us was extremely nice and helpful and seemed genuinely happy to be working there, so this is a very big plus as well!! Most of the time the front office staff can make or break the experience, even if it is a great doctor.

I have been a client of Daniel & Davis Optometry for more than 8 years. Each year I go in for a check up. They have the most modern analytical tools, they explain what their tests show in detail, and then they make recommendations. I believe they always have my best interests in mind.The staff is pleasant and helpful.

The VA sent me here for outpatient evaluation. The doctor was engaging and thorough, and had a very modern office with a very nice staff.

I have seen Dr. Daniels in the past and was really happy with the care. We now take our kids, and are very happy with the eye care, from the moment we walk in, everything is comfortable and clean. I do wish they would let you know of any additional charges that may not be covered under insurance prior to the start of the exam. So make sure you ask before.Other than that I am really pleased with the care.

I had a great eye exam and everything was high quality and fast, but even better are the people that assist with ordering and adjusting your glasses.Im currently sitting in the office, I just came in to pickup a sun glass clip I ordered. The woman noticed I was wearing my glasses a little low and she tilted the lenses out slightly for me and swapped the nose pads out to ones that are more oval. My glasses are a million times better now!

Ive been going here since I needed glasses when I was 14. Love everyone there, very professional, no long wait but they dont rush you. Would recommend to anyone.

We were seen over 30 minutes late. We had a vision therapy appointment following our first appointment. Dr. Love was very nice and had no problem with her. However the vision therapist Felicia wanted to cut our appointment off half way through because she had another appointment. It wasnt our fault they ran late. They wanted us to come back another time to finish. Not acceptable. We refused to pay for a session that was not complete. Felicia was furious that we said we arent paying and walked off. Very unprofessional. We will not be going back and because of that we will have to either pay $125 for the written doctors notes or pay for another complete evaluation at another location.

I have been a patient of Dr. Daniels for over twelve years and have been very satisfied with the Eye Care they provide. Im diabetic and they have gone above and beyond in providing me the additional tests and care that someone with my condition requires.

Best and most thorough eye exam I have ever had and they got my glasses right on the first try which is hard to do. The only thing keeping me from giving a perfect review is i had an appointment and it took a lot longer than expected

Ive been a patient of Dr. Daniels and Dr. Davis since they began practicing in the Carlsbad area over 20+ years ago. This professional, competent and friendly husband and wife duo always surpass my expectations. Our relationship began when they determined and explained why the eyeglasses I was wearing at the time (bought elsewhere) werent working for me. The explanation about prisms and optic center measurements is too long to share but they figured out something no one else had -- and they corrected it. I am not an easy, or a typical, patient -- they not only put up with me, they do it with sincere smiles and outstanding care. In addition to routine services (exams, eyewear and contact lens) they provide vision therapy, treatment of eye infections, treatment of dry eye syndromes (e.g., Sjogrens) and referrals (thyroid eye disease.) A sincere thank you to the doctors and staff. You are very much appreciated by Yours Truly.
