A year ago I was at 5 stars easy. Since then, Im not sure what has gone on behind the scenes, but Ive got to drop to 3 - maybe 2.5 stars. The flavor of the bowls remains tasty, but the quality has faltered. How they are put together has been inconsistent, and while I am generally satisfied with the customer service, I did witness a poor handling of an elderly customer with what seemed like a legitimate concern, by one of the young workers. (Disrespectful, and and basically unprofessional)Bottomline, as someone else mentioned, you could go somewhere else for a less expensive bowl, but just as tasty, and the servings are probably better.
Ive hesitated to try this place due to the prices for quite some time. But after finally biting the bullet, I have to say it was worth it, worth it, WORTH IT! Not only does the food here taste SO good, I was left feeling full for hours after eating it. I tried the Nutty Bowl and itll probably take me some time to try other bowls because Ill want to keep ordering it over and over again. It was delicious and I feel great that it was also good for me--a great value! Ill be back and will definitely be recommending others!
Just the worst. No peanut butter in the nutty again bowl and they made two of them that way. Menu is out of date. A customer before us ordered two items and both were no longer available. This isnt the first time theres been issues like this here. For such a good spot and $11 for a medium, please leave and let someone else do better.
Do you want a good lunch and feel great about what you are? Go here. Everything is fresh, healthy, and the best part, absolutely delicious. I get the Nutty Bowl usually and cant recommend it enough. Definitely check this place out if youre passing by!
I absolutely love this place. I usually have a bowl, but I have tried the smoothies as well. I find the bowls to be better. They always taste fresh and are filling. Customer service is good too. If there is a line, it can move pretty slow and it takes a while to get your order, but I’d say it’s worth it.
Came in on 9/17/21 at 12:23p.m. and it looked as if the place was closed. There were other customers waiting for staff to take their orders for 20 minutes, but nobody was there. Not sure what is going on. Called, only to get a rude answer by a staff member that the place is closed. On a Friday, at noon. I am not sure if I will return to this location.
Vitality Bowl is well worth the price you pay. Every time I go in, I leave in awe of how much fruit and other goodies they were able to pack in the bowl. I always have leftover fruit I can place in the fridge and pull back out again later. By far the best location for acai bowls in Indy.
Really wanted to like this place but overall its a no. Ordered a large Dragon bowl for total of$15 and change. Received large container half full and literally just thrown together. Pitaya taste seemed off too?? For the cost and amount received is and will be the major deciding factor to pass on this place in the future.
I love Vitality and spend a lot via DoorDash. For the 2nd time in a month, our bowls were not even 3/4 full and they are expensive. I also didnt get my granola which I paid for. I specifically said on the order to fill to the top, like they have done in past, and to send receipt as well so I could get points. They did neither. I guess I’ll help other local businesses. What a racket.
Like many folks on their first visit, I was coerced by one of my healthy friends into trying this during a moment of indecision. I was expecting to outright hate it and walk away still hungry.I got the Superfood Bowl, and I was pleasantly surprised. Even after having to Google half of the ingredients to decide from the 6000 very similar bowl offerings, I was not sure what to expect. Turns out that it was essentially a smoothie in a bowl, with a ton of acai puree as the base. Overall refreshing, but not overly sweet. It was tasty, and I actually did feel energized after eating it, even if that was just my body thanking me for not feeding it fried garbage (again). On my second visit, however, I got a kale salad with roasted turkey. It was overpriced for what it was, and it was served without any dressing whatsoever, which I discovered after walking it back to my office several blocks away. This was a huge disappointment, and it was saved only by the strange fact that my office had a bottle of balsamic vinegar in the fridge and a bottle of olive oil in the tiny, 6-foot kitchenette there. Otherwise, eating a bowl of naked kale, underseasoned turkey, and some other uninspiring dry ingredients is highly ill-advised.Ill go back for a bowl on occasion, but I think Id rather get a salad from just about any other place on Carmels Main Street. Or eat fried garbage until I die.
Worker behind counter was rude. Four teen boys harassed me - laughing and commenting on my dress. Order was completely wrong, I asked for certain items to be left out of the bowl, and they added them anyways! They did nothing to make it right or make me want to come back - ever again.
Awesome bowls, friendly staff, and a fun environment! We keep coming back week after week
Just ordered from them on door dash. They messed up the orders. Two of the same bowl. Did not put any appropriate ingredients. All melted. WAY overpriced. Will never eat from this place and advising everyone not to go here. Manager was not helpful
Long time fan of Vitality Bowls smoothies. Personally love to add chia or flax seeds if not already included, which is greatly appreciated. This is my first time at this location since COVID and staff was very polite and kept up with sanitization. Will definitely be back!
First time here and I have to say its delicious, cool and healthy. I had the avocado bowl medium size ate it all. 😄
Good stuff. Fairly quick.
Its hard to find something you dont like at vitality bowls! Their juice and food options are amazing. I love it so much and I hope to start visiting more often. Recently, I ordered the rehydrater and added carrot juice. I also love the immune booster shot. Wonderful place!
Soooo good really love these, but only downfall is they are a bit pricey!
The Nutty Bowl is my favorite bowl here. Even though it may seem a little pricey, the bowls are all very tasty and the portions are large. They also use a bunch of superfoods in the bowls which makes them healthy. Very yummy and we will be coming back!
It was wonderful..have been looking for ab acai bowl since California...
Delicious bowls but very expensive, most of the time they don’t fill me up and I leave hungry. I wish the portions were slightly larger or the prices were less expensive
A great restaurant and addition to Main Street! Very delicious!Ive personally never had a wait issue when Ive been there, but they do typically have young teenagers from the high school working there, so I could see how the service may not be great uniformly.
Wasn’t worth it for the price.
Great options. Healthy choices! Vegan and gluten free options! But prices are high. $26 for two bowls is a lot.
The service is awful and truly needs at least 3 more people working other than just two in the kitchen. My family was hoping this would be a nice easy quick visit but it has turned into a 30 minute wait for a simple breakfast. Unfortunately will not be ever returning...do not recommend the paninis they aren’t that great and will take twice as long.
I’ve been coming Vitality bowls for a couple years now & I can’t say enough great things about it! Not only is the superfood is amazing, but the people there are great too! Love this place!
Very informative, great staff interaction. Very clean!
Last time I visited there was a long wait but the nutty bowl was good. This time I walked in the door and it smelled like either rotten food or like some was smoking cigarettes in there. Waited a few minutes deciding whether or not to order. Then someone finally came out from back to help us after several minutes of waiting. Then decided it was so bad that me and my girlfriend left. Will not return. My visit was 3/10 at around 4pm.
Placed an order at 1pm. 2:39pm still have not received my order. Employee attempted to be confrontational although he is the one who messed up the order. Highly disorganized unprofessional.I used to go to the shop at Traders Pointe but is closed now. Guess I will have to go across to Sub Zero. Never Again!
I love love love going here. It can be pricy, but worth it for a treat every once in a while. I usually get either the detox or immunity bowl.
The nutty bowl with extra peanut butter and strawberries is wonderful!! The gladiator panini is equally as addictive! The staff is just as delightful!! Sean and Steeve defiantly made that rainy day a bit better!!!
Their food is delicious and healthy! It tastes like eating dessert but fills you up like a meal. Staff is friendly and efficient. Lovely location right in the middle of the Carmel Arts District.
First of all I truly enjoy the bowls. Today was my first visit to this location. I ordered and paid for my bowl via the app then drove 10 minutes to pick it up. I arrived and was told by the cashier my bowl was being prepared (she even said NICE! when she noticed Id already paid). I waited about 30 minutes as every patron in the building (before and after me) was served. Finally I ask again if my pick up order was ready at which point I was told my order had been sitting in the fridge and they didnt know I had arrived.Didnt make a huge fuss, took my goods & left only to get in the car and there was no spoon in my bag. Now stuck in rush hour traffic (which I tried to avoid by ordering and paying ahead) with no way eat my bowl, it was mush when I arrive to my destination.
The menu is very diverse. Their bowl s look very interesting but theyre a little bit pricey. I have a detox and a smoothie which taste very good. positive experience in general
Good wholesome food you will not find elsewhere. However, very little meat and almost no sweetener in anything. Fast service cheerfully done. Lots of trendy nutritional fruits.
Great food! But the workers were some Asian chick and a high school guy and they had no idea what they were doing. They were really really awkward and made everyone feel uncomfortable. They would just stare at you while you were looking at the menu as well. Very strange experience this time. Not coming back in here whenever I see these people working.
I really like the taste of the smoothies and bowls. The quality can be a little hit or miss depending on the day. The service usually isnt very friendly - they often act like youre interrupting their conversations and day in general.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a healthy or just simply tasty meal. I had the nutty bowl a few days ago, and it was delicious. The price is spot on as well because you will get more than enough!
Love the Warrior Bowl staff is friendly and helpful. Its a bit pricier than I would have originally thought.I just wish this place was open before I was headed to work. Would be great to start that day off.
I love this stuff... Healthy ingredients frozen and mixed up. Like crunchy smoothies you eat with a spoon. My kids might call it Dad food but if i had all the ingredients i might make this kind of stuff all the time. The only problem would be that i would eat too much!
Place a pick up order and it turns out the restaurant closed early. None of staff are opening the door or answering the phone. I got an order confirmation but can’t cancel my order and get refunded.
Very poorly customer Services, Will never come to this rudely Fashioned place AGAIN .
Disappointing service and it took more than 20 minutes for a takeout order of 2 regular bowls plus 1 kid bowl. Saw 3 employees by the time we left, and only one order came out before ours, and it was not busy inside. Was also charged for granola when asked for it on the side (as it was a topping of the bowl). Price is too high to frequent after the dissatisfying experience.
A great healthy food option. Prices are reasonable and the smoothies are always good. This is a good place to go if on a limited diet...Paleo or similar. They are very accommodating.
So delicious! The staff was super knowledgeable and helpful making a yummy selection from all the menu options. A little pricey, but worth it. Theres nothing else like it in the area!
I always eat here the vitality bowl. Its very tasty and healthy! Love it ❤
Great pick me up food. Not cheap but worth it.
I am usually an avid vitality bowl goer, but today I had a terrible experience! I have never had good service here, but the vitality bowls are so good, I don’t mind the service too much. But today, I was waiting in line for about 5 minutes and the employees saw me and continued to work in the back leaving me unacknowledged. When I got my vitality bowl, first I noticed that it was in a Togo bowl when I ordered it for here, and they told me it was because they were all out of clean bowls, as I saw a huge stack of dirty bowls by the trash can unattended. When I finally tasted it, it was the worst one I have ever had! I usually eat them right up, but today I could barely even finish it! The base had about 6-8 unblended açaí berries and the strawberries and bananas were not ripe at all. As I said before, I love vitality bowls, but the service today left a bad taste in my mouth! Literally!
Vitality bowl is literally vital to survival and I saw as I was clicking five stars that someone wrote overpriced with small portions well you know what Brian why dont you just stay at Golden Corral where you belong but as for the rest of you that arent greedy Americans I was impressed with the portions if you want to literally feel so much better try this place I was having the worst days with allergies and this bowl literally GAVE ME LIFE. Amazing. 🍓🍋🍒
Food is any substance consumed to provide nutritional support for an organism. It is usually of plant or animal origin, and contains essential nutrients
I really like their smoothies and turkey panini on gf bread. Im giving 3 stars because I arrived this morning (Tuesday) at 8:24 a.m. and they werent open. Are their hours wrong? I thought they opened at 7 a.m.
Great food along the lines of Poke bowls. Imagine a fusion of Chipotle with a sushi restaurant. The process can be overwhelming if you dont know what youre doing, but the friendly staff can help you through it.
Was stoked to give this place a shot, as my boyfriend and I are acai enthusiasts, but it severely disappointed. When we first walked in, we were met with an unpleasant smell--like the trash hadnt been taken out in a while. Their was no one at the register for a minute before someone came out from the back to greet us. While the employees werent rude, it took a long time for us to get what we ordered, and when it did come out, the bowls seemed hurried and poor quality. These bowls are the priciest in Indy we have tried, and by far not the best in taste or quality. The service seemed unprofessional--we will not be returning.
Wow. So glad we stumbled across Vitality Bowls. Great salads and smoothies.
This is a great lunch spot to get some healthy food. A lot of great smoothies and fruit bowls.
Worst Place ever. Waited 25 minutes for my drink. They have served two different groups of people and gave them their food before I even got mine. I will Not be going back
Slow, disorganized service. Good selection fresh juices!
They use to make amazing nutty bowls but the consistency has changed and is more runny, chunky frozen banana, not much granola 😞 I’m there several times a week so I know the change. I’ve finally learned to make them at home now, so no more.
The place looked sloppy, the staff was clearly bored and unmotivated, and the vegetables and fruits were not fresh. I ordered a kale salad and the kale was wilted and the cucumbers and celery were very old and mushy. It said it had quinoa in it but Id swear there was hardly a teaspoon of quinoa.
We waited in line at least 15 minutes before someone took our order. They didn’t apologize for making us wait. The people in front of us waited 30+ minutes. Very rude!!!! I don’t even care what it tastes like.
This place is a serious health hazard. There was white plastic wrapper material in my acai bowl at this location and the Traders Point location. I have had about 20 acai bowls from the Carmel location without the plastic material in it so I know what it should be like. I picked out one of the strands, thinking it might be a coconut shaving to pull it apart and it snapped! I spoke to one of the Carmel managers who told me their procedure is to cut the frozen acai packages in half before blending them, so that it is very possible the plastic wrapper got into the smoothies. I feel disgusted that this place is serving plastic to unsuspecting consumers. The people who would pay this kind of money for organic healthy food are often times people who are really struggling with their health and cannot afford to be eating plastic of all things! I reported this to both locations, but will leave this review up until I have been notified that something has changed in their procedure that will prevent this from happening.
Usually fast take out service and everything you’d expect from healthy food.
They kept walking past me as if i wasn’t even there, never making eye contact. I had to ask to be waited on. Not friendly. Slow service. Will not return.
Healthy and good food if you are on diet
Very dirty inside. Needs a deep clean. Long wait for a smoothie bowl.
Tasty bowls on the pricey side. What do you expect in the hipster joints.
Fun, healthy stop along the Monon trail.
Love it! Healthy. Tasty. Average bowl is about $14. I eat there 2-4 times per week.
When Vitality Bowl first came to Indianapolis some time in early 2016 on 86th street, I thought it was delicious though pricey. In fact, that still hasnt changed a year later. But youll be hard pressed to find a chilled meal made with and topped with fruits in the area. Not saying they dont exist but not to the same level as this place. If Ive had a particularly bad weekend of gorging on sweets and greasy food, its nice to order a bowl of something less guilty that has the added bonus of satisfying my sweet tooth without destroying my calorie intake (again); better than crying in to a salad... More tasty too.Vitality Bowl has been slowly adding hot options to their menu like Panini. I cant claim to have tried them as Im more addicted to their Acai bowls.
The customer service experience is great. They always remember regulars and what you typically order. Very friendly employees there.
Smoothies are always pure liquid at this location 🥺
Order was quickly prepared and service was friendly
Healthy and yummy 😋
Best acai bowl in Indiana
Food is delicious but service is always extremely slow. Ive been into this location about 5+ times now and each time feels slower than the last. Wait times for one Acai bowl often range from 20 to 45 minutes.
One of my favorite places to eat in Carmel! Wish they had a lunch special so I could eat there more (:
Great quality, could use more variety
AMAZING SERVICE. When UberEats botched my service, an employee hand delivered my order.
The smoothies are just phenomenal. No added ice or sugar...all pure fruit and veggies
A refreshing afternoon treat - with less guilt than ice cream!
Great bowls and smoothies. Employees tend to be moody teenagers who look dead inside.
Delicious, but pricey. Would absolutely come back if it were not as expensive.
Overpriced smoothie in a bowl - but I cant get enough!!! The roasted turkey panini is yummy too!
Im addicted!
Great bowls, but pricey.
Healthy, great tasting food. The staff is very friendly.
Delicious and always great service
I always feel better after a trip to Vitality Bowls
Best place ever
Oh so delicious & healthy! Warrior Bowl with peanut butter yum!
Great
Bowls are good, don’t ask for a cup of water - they won’t give you one, horrible.
Delish
Great food, but have ran into issues with being charged incorrectly, wrong food given to us & not getting food all out at the same time.
Expensive for very little food.
