5 stars for consistently lower prices, plus this FL has a terrific gluten-free section. Produce is usually excellent and the store stocks something for everyone. They keep items on stock, too.

With the exception of a few folks, everyone else that works there is rude. Their only saving grace is the self check out to avoid the annoyed and abrasive employees.

Its close by so its super easy to get in and out of the store quickly and its the only place that I have been able to find the chex mix snack that I can eat have not found it anywhere else. Chex mix muddy buddys best snack foods and great for kids not a lot of sugar.

This food lion is a little outdated but it is still well stocked. They have a great beer.and wine selection, as well. Staff is always kind and attentive and place is always clean!

This store literally has the worst customer service of any store I have been too in the country and the world. I have been multiple times to multiple locations and it never ceases to amaze me how badly they can mess up their customer service. It is pretty cheap though..... But its not cheap enough for me to put up with it.

Store has been re-done during covid. Its amazing how open it looks now, no clutter in the isles, its bright and white like a doctors office. Foodlion is spending lots of money to make there store covid friendly. And not spreading germs. Some things need to change though. Such as produce section, handling green beans with something other than your hands...

I so appreciate their large section of gluten free products- the best Ive seen locally! This Food Lion recently renovated their space and seem to be working hard to become the top local grocery store. Between their increasing organic selections and wonderful gluten free section, this has become my go-to grocery store. It actually makes grocery shopping fun with its well maintained and designed store, easy access to recycling, and the friendly, helpful staff. Parking is easy. Love this store!

During the pandemic, I started going to food lion more, it seems their prices are better than other grocery stores.

It was just a grocery store. But it was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I only was picking up a few items for a wedding rehearsal dinner so I didnt pay any more attention

Apocalypse levels of quiet on Monday morning. Good managers specials on meat. Prices on produce werent great. Folks told me it was cheaper than Harris Teeter, but didnt strike me that way.

I have to give Fool Lion 5 stars for their employees. They are always helpful and polite.

They will card your entire extended family before you buy beer. Also the staff is extremely lazy.

Staff here are super! I like the available parking and the location is convenient to other stores & a gas station. The staff really care about people, I witnessed their efforts to find a missing child here and thank God the child was found! It had been a long time since I stopped at this particular Food Lion because last time I was there they wanted to scan my DL to buy a bottle of wine and I vehemently refused. The gray in my beard and being almost 50 should take any question of my age of legality. This time they had to see it and then get a manger to do some sort of override in the register. I get that theyre basically a college town but I think their policies on buying alcohol are ludicrous.

Always go here for groceries. Wide selection and wonderful staff!

My neighborhood food lion. Love it because its not too crowded and I can get pretty much all of my household needs here. Strongly recommend getting an MVP card for even better deals and discounts.

Went in to get some fresh Fried Chicken from the deli. Im looking for a couple bags the flats that goes with t Wings. Zelle was closed but I found in the refrigerator section A couple containers of spicy wings that I bought home and microwaved. I prefer the chicken over Kentucky Fried Chicken which is what I had bought for dinner.

Very impressed with the large selection of organic items in stock. I normally shop at Wholefoods (and will still get a few bits and pieces there), but I plan to shop here more often. We loved the friendly staff as well (as opposed to the staff at the WF in CH). Very happy I found this gem!

Friendly employees, managers are always visible if you have a problem. Store is well stocked. An example of their helpfulness is that, more than once, someone has helped me load my groceries back into the cart after Ive used the self checkout.

I especially love visiting Ninas line. She makes the food lion experience a welcoming one. She has GREAT customer service and I visit there often and every time she is great.

This place is terrible. Produce is always partially rotten, meat is tough as leather, never in stock for basic items, and employees are unbelievably rude. Unfortunately this is my neighborhood foodlion.

Am becoming a fan of Food Lion in the Chapel Hill area. Theyve upped their game in specialty and organic foods, and prices are often lower than local Harris Teeters. Generally, friendly, helpful service. Similar discount card as Harris Teeters Vic card.

UPDATE: Very limited items to choose from throw out the store and lack of items to buy in this store, limited brands limited food items as such. Example canned sauces theres only three brands the store brand, hunts, if lucky Tuturuso and thats a step above hunts, hunts is a glorified ketchup, its not a sauce, its a ketchup.Pastas okay they might have three different brands including their own but that too is limited and styles of pasta just plenty of styles of pasta out there but they insist on carrying a handful of styles very disappointing. Obviously theyre not interested in serving those of Italian heritage or those who choose to eat Italian authentic foods. It is discrimination at best, and buying the cheapest brands sold by producers. They rarely restock items out of stock tatilini ice team has been out for over 3 weeks howev the food lion n Jones Ferry rod need stock better. Also the produce has is often rotten the lettuce for example also very limited. Go to Harris Teeter for produce.The meat department substandard where to start I had the unfortunate experience of purchasing meat and it was something other than meat maybe an animal, on top of that it wasnt even fresh tasted rotten. Did anyone ever noticed? Or they just dont care, Im sure most that work there dont buy items there that are packaged there meats, bakery? Also buyer beware and bakery department they do not stick to policy by sealing baked items in store, therefore lending tampering and unsanitary practices during this pandemic or not! I made aware of this problem to a worker in the bakery department and she completely ignored me and walked away. Is there any supervision in that store at all?! Example, going around from department to department and doing inspections on the quality of workmanship or surprise visits from corporate?? This is required.

This shopping center is great. It offers just about everything I need . The one thing that it needs is an independent coffee shop w/wifi. I would love to see someone local to the area open their own cafe in this shopping center. This would actually make Carrboro Plaza perfect. But for the time being Arbys offers Free Wifi so I go sit in there for a little while on their internet. :)

I’ve always had good experiences with all of the workers at the cash registers and various managers who have been so helpful and kind, but I am shocked at the conversations that go on at the customer service desk and how rude the girl is that always seems to be working when I go in and need assistance. How this place has not seen how unprofessional and rude she is is a shock to me. They should be embarrassed.

People at Food Lion help you shop and find things that easy and help you get out of there they can light and Curtis with you and I just like being in a comfortable atmosphere shopping

Rude employees. Sad vegetables (Ive never actually seen anything fresh there). Poor quality meat. Way, way too much ice cream, snacks, and beer. Even the eggs are sad, pale-yolked things. I avoid this place like the plague.

They customer service is non-existent. Most of the time the cashiers dont even speak.Employees should not be allowed to take smoke breaks any where near the front entrance ...it look bad. Not only to see them standing around smoking, but customers have to walk thru the smoke haze. Then there the smokers trash...it just looks very unclean

PEOPLE here are always helpful they even help me with taking my grocery to my car sometimes I am sick they seem to see it right then and come to help me right then thanks food lion employees
