Wow! If youre near the West Cary area THIS is the Asian grocery store you want to be at. There is a stunning variety of produce available (everything from regular supermarket fare to sugar cane and Asian potatoes), too many spices and sauces to count, and candies galore. But lets talk about what makes H Mart (and -this- H Mart) so special. If youre a hungry there are several restaurants ready to serve you a piping hot (and authentic) lunch. You can pick up kimchi and delicate slices of thin cut meat if you want to serve something up quick at home. Most importantly there are so, so, SO many noodles (not Just Korean brands too, but also Taiwanese, Chinese, Thai, etc), and shelves full of your favorite Korean snacks. And lets not forget that their freezer section has like a bazillion things that you can microwave for an unhealthy midnight snack. I know why you come to a place like this--so you should come to a place like this and check it out!
H Mart is a nice grocery store, especially if you’re looking for diverse and imported Asian goods. Located in a great spot, there’s a food court inside with amazing choices for you or your friends and families. It has a good parking space area, and there are fresh vegetables, meats, seafoods, etc. to your liking. My wife and I come to this place from time to time.
Way better than our H*Mart in California! More restaurants inside (on the right), a Thai poke hybrid restaurant and a Korean bakery. They have really great produce, fresh and often pre packed in clear bags. They always have fresh seafood, kimchi, and so much more. In addition we noticed Bibinbap sets, mushrooms that we do not get in California. The supermarket is also clean and well organized. The aisles have all kinds of stuff, on each you discover something you need but never knew existed!Love H-Mart.
First time going to a Hmart and I was not disappointed. Seeing the food court food available at the Cary, NC location all over social media ment it was a must go for dinner when we were traveling through Raleigh. Tried so many things that were so good! Korean corn dogs, pork belly bao buns, Bimibop bowls, Japanese Katsu, and lots more. So much to choose and try and not enough time or stomach space.
Simply the best Asian grocery store in the triangle. Especially the selection and quality of the fresh seafood. And it also has many different lunch offerings available. Dont skip this place.
Oh, this is my top grocery store. Hands down EVERYTHING you need and has products you didnt even know you needed. The food court experience alone makes you feel like youre no longer in the US. Such a treat.
Very well organized international market. From fresh fish to fresh cut meats. They even have fresh cut sashimi made to order. The veggie sections have multiple selections along with many fruits to choose from. A AMAZING FOOD COURT!!! Literally tried almost all of the food there. From Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese, and Thai food tp choose from. Fresh bakery selection to choose from too.
This was our first time coming here. I must admit, I have fallen in love with this asian market. The market is huge and its extremely clean and very well kept. The variety of all the fruits, vegetables, seafood, ramyeon, rice, ice creams, juices and so many more was absolutely wonderful.I love kimchi and they have a huge selection; I didnt know where to begin. 🙂The have a nice variety of food served in the food court as well.We live an hour and a half away but, I would drive here every couple of weeks to shop. Some of the prices are a little more expensive but, its worth it for the quality of what you are buying. We will come back here.I would highly recommend coming here to experience this market.
Hmart is very good. I buy fresh fruits and vegetables every week. Very good! Thanks!
They always have great selection of fish fresh and frozen. And the fruit is very good too
It was my first time here and there was plenty of things to explore. My kids have been here before so they were showing me the ropes around the store. We walked around the food court and was carefully looking at the menu for something that might caught my eye. They had Japanese, Thai, and Korean cuisines as I walked around. They had a huge selection of produce and a wide variety of Asian items to choose from. I was pretty impressed with the fresh seafood as they had a whole station of different types of shrimp. I also saw a huge selection of kimchi. My kids and I picked up a couple of items. We got some strawberry/chocolate candy imported from Japan, vanilla/mocha roll, some chips, steam buns and seaweed. My daughter got a dessert which was delicious. It was almost like a chocolate mousse cake with strawberries on top. We then headed to the food court and my son and I got Japanese food while my daughter got Korean food. Food wasn’t as yummy as it is in Japan. It was made by Japanese people so I was excited to eat my bento box. It wasn’t anything to brag about but I did like that it is something different than what they have in Fayetteville. The workers weren’t as friendly but when I think of not too many Asian stores have workers who greet you. I do have to say that small mom and pop stores do have some real friendly owners though. I will definitely go back to H Mart when I am up in that area again.
I only visited the food court and bakery and give it a 5 nice staff awesome food fair pricing . Korean corn dogs were 🔥 and so was the order A5 from the hot stone noodle 🍜 spot that stone bowl plate thing was hot the entire time I ate the meal but it didn’t over cook and of the food
An excellent store for produce. Also has a huge food court with many authentic Asian vendors.
Great selection of Asian grocery items. I also liked the bakery and other restaurants located inside the store.
The definitive place for Korean (and most pan-Asian) food. The food court is rockin as well. The Soo Fried Chicken stall is particularly amazing with the best fried chicken Ive ever had.
Today September 14 I was at Hmart. I walked down the aisles and headed to the bakery area but as I walked into the kitchen accessories aisle, I saw that this employee (seen in the photo) was speaking rudely to some ladies and even raised his voice to them. He is arrogant and bitter in his face. He hates his job. I cant think of anything else after seeing how he treated those ladies. They looked offended and dissatisfied but did not give anything to the store staff. They went to the fruit area and from there they looked down the hall and commented among themselves. It was terrible to see that employee argue with them. I hope that by reading this review you will question this man why it is not fair that customers are treated like this. They were asking about a device that had the out stock sign on it. Apparently that guy got impatient. I was there watching long enough. So Hmart do something with those attitudes because customers do not go to your store to ask for gifts. We, the customers, pay and the employees have their salary for our purchases.
Great selection of super fresh produce and ingredients. Best place for my Asian ingredients fix in the area.
H Mart is H Mart. Its my go to Korean market. Prices are fair and competitive.
Seoul-ly for the food court! Friends introduced me to a great market that has a good mix of East Asian cuisine in food court style. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the options. We did venture out into the market where I spent a lot of money primarily on snack foods and alcohol, but I do not want to claim to know what makes this market better than others. I will say that it is cleaner than I have seen and the setup is better than another one that I have visited. I also liked the community board at the front of the store there were plenty of advertisements about upcoming cultural programs.
Great place to find different foods from the other side of the world. Definitely you should try every have a bakery and some restaurants in the building. Its a must go! Supermarket
I love the bakery inside, it has alot of yummy pastries and cakes. The store itself is cluttered and there are not many signs to help locate food items. You pretty much have to go down every isle to find items. I thought there would be more variety but its not.
The king of Korean Asian grocery stores! Includes a bakery, food court, cosmetic center and a whole live seafood section. Anything Korean related can be found here! Ranging from rice cookers, bowls, snacks and imported seafood can be found here. Store is extremely clean and the staff are wonderful. The prices for everything is also super reasonable. All your favorite tiktok snacks can be found here.
Plenty of awesome food choices that are fresh and things that you arent going to find in the typical market.
People need to experience this awesomeness!!! The food in the cafeteria area is mind blowing with authentic cusine from all parts of Asia and beyond. The produce is like no other, and if your looking for specialty items they have it.
A family win!!! The kids already told me what they want next time so many choices, well worth the ride.We ordered 2 meals, split it three ways & still had leftovers!
Great variety of asian groceries. Korean foods in food court are authentic and delicious.
Golden mangoes for $1 each! Plus sooo much more. If there’s a fruit or vegetable you can’t find it here, it probably doesn’t exist. Just sayin. The restaurants are also really tasty. Thai Koon 9 has some of the best yellow curry I’ve had in awhile.Minus one star only because I really wish they had white kimchi in smaller containers. They have enough red kimchi types to feed an army, but the white only comes in what appears to be gallon size.
Amazing, just amazing. Foodcourt was unbelievable! The skin care area was beautiful and thr lady was sweet and helpful. My favorite place
Awesome place to find Asian products you dont find in American supermarkets.
H Mart has so many Asian goods and foods and a delicious food court area.
I love this place where you can explore Asian ingredients and products! Would definitely love to know more about how to use them.
Very nice place. First time ever seeing a jack fruit.
This is the best h Mart Ive ever been too. It has a ton of restaurants inside as well.
Fresh fruits & vegetables. There are also some restaurants and a bakery inside the mart.
Great amount of items. Clean and nice
Great Korean grocery with a cool good court. This place has a lot of fresh options. I cant wait to try everything
If you are looking for asian ingredients that are hard to find, then this is the place to be.I mean there are other shops offering asian stuff too in the area such as the Oriental store in raleigh, and Grand Asia as well as Li Mings in Durham. However, H-Mart is kinda pricey though. They have good meat and seafood too just the like the other shops i mentioned here.
Having been to a few HMarts in the NY City area, this location in NC compares favorably. Excellent selection of produce, meats and hard to find Asian products. Lots of great take out too. Korean, Vietnamese and Thai to name a few. It is time to add more locations in NC. Charlotte, Wilmington and Asheville should be seriously looked at as additional markets for expansion.
Any south east asian ingredient or premade meal we could find here. It was fantastic.
Absolutely amazing. Best Korean supermarketShashimi is really fresh, huge fresh seafood section. A massive produce area. We drive 2 hours just to come here!
Fantastic Asian market with a truly outstanding selection. Prices are almost all exceptionally low for the high quality products they stock. Fresh produce selection is excellent with very low pricing. The store is huge and if you get hungry while shopping they also have a great food court at one end with several different Asian food options.
My happy place. The food court is amazing and the employees are the sweetest. Great prices on fish and they even have skincare.
Crowded but amazing place to buy Asian food and have lunch as well.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND coming here, they have everything you need. Grocery shopping? YES, 5 Star food? YES, Delicious cakes? YESSS!!!
Well stocked and staffed. Some produce didnt look very fresh but meat and seafood very fresh. Cashier was attentive but lacked motor skills and personality.
It’s a hike to visit but worth it. Great produce, seafood, and French style bakery with amazing baked goods. The Yuzu Pie is my favorite! Crispy, lightly sweet with cream inside.
Usually our go to store if I cook any Asian food. Store always neat and clean and the food there is so delicious!!!
This place is always an experience. I really enjoy coming here. The choices are phenomenal! The smells... not so much, but your mask helps😁. I wander the aisles looking for something new to try. So much fun coming here. The vibe of the place takes you to the overseas Asian markets. Everyone is busy doing something. Everything is done in a rush. So funny! Yes, they understand English, but the older people wont speak to you. The young cashiers, hurry you through their lines as if the place is on fire. Come for the experience and you might find something you might want to try.I wish they offered cooking/kitchen classes.
Really different from the H-Mart I used to go to in Virginia, but in a great way! Some fun restaurants inside with authentic and some interesting foods. Tried 3 different restaurants and liked them all! Plus the grocery shopping you can do while your food is prepared is great too. Would go back just for the food though
I love the produce options and their low prices. The meat and fish options are amazing. Plus everything else! What an experience
What once was a cool place to experience a different cultures cuisine is now a somewhat run down and rude experience. Too bad! And I saw Americans treated in a nasty manner. Too bad twice!
*Please like our reviews!* Wheelchair accessible. If you are looking for the wonderland of Asian markets minus the weird fish smell and a place that is hygienic and modern, this is the place for you! It is like Trader Joes meets the Asia. The place was massive and cleeaaaan. They had the best selection of any market I have been to with fresh fruits and veggies. If you are looking for a specific ingredient or just bored and want to experience something new, pop into H Mart. It would be easy enough to spend a couple hours just looking through all the exotic spices, ingredients and side dishes. The service is efficient yet friendly.Aisle after aisle of seaweed laver, rice, drinks and much much more. I felt like I was back in S Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia & The Philippines for only an hour! Will def be back soon. The variety was just amazing! Highly, highly recommend.
They always have everything that my mom is looking for when cooking Korean food! However, if you compare the price per pound for meat here with other traditional grocery stores, it’s literally highway robbery! but definitely check out their bakery and seafood!
I love coming here for there sweets and great food choices!
Pros:- Convenient location and spacious parking lot- Pretty much has everything: Western and Asian groceries, seafood, bakery and coffee/drinks- Delicious, varieties Korean & Thai food courtCon:- In general more expensive than other supermarkets such as Harris Teeter and Grand Asia- Frozen food quality such as Durians are questionable based on my personal experience
Amazing grocery store for Asian groceries but especially Korean groceries. The food court inside of H Mart makes the long drive for my family well worth it to make it out there.
Its a huge grocery store with all Asian products. Its very clean and each isle is nicely stacked with variety of foodstuffs. I went especially for fish and found the price to be at the higher-end. Being a big grocery store I expected it to give in minimum price. 🙃 Vegetables were also priced high.
My new favorite grocery store! It has everything! Easy to find items! Clean and efficient!
Love this store. Great produce selection with low prices. Meat selection are fresh and good quality.
The fruits and vegetables were fresh and plentiful. The store is very clean and organized. They had everything we were looking for and more. The staff was very helpful. I definitely go back for lunch at one of the 4 restaurants inside.
Amazing selection! Worth the trip!
My daughter and I visited H Mart because she wanted to try the Korean corn dogs.
Really nice staff. Dont be afraid to ask them questions if you need help finding something.
Im so happy I found this place. They specialize in Korean fare but have a bit of everything :) So many fruit and veggie options! Ill definitely be going back
The food here is great! There is a lot of diversity and it is very clean. The sweet bread and drinks here are very yummy.
Crazy busy place. First time in this store. Sensory overload with all the people and new things to see. Ill go back. The corn dog/ cheese thing with sugar mustard and ketchup was great. Such a strange combination but it works. 4 stars because of the over crowding.
The bakery is my favoriteAlso side note to new shoppers: a lot of the staff working English is not their first language. No one is trying to be rude or mean but perhaps it’s literally a language barrier.Maybe go shopping here with an open mind and understand this is not an American chain grocery store. It’s a grocery store that caters to a lot of Asian Americans who have moved here for jobs. Meaning none of our first language is American. It’s a place in the community where people from outside of America can shop and feel at home.No one is trying to be rude: but literally it could be a langue barrier.
Clean, easy to navigate, helpful and efficient staff, fresh cut fruit, only two cons - sale items are not deep discounts; specialty snacks aisle was poorly stocked -understandable since they are so yummy
The variety of restaurants is amazing. My daughter fell in love with the Korean hot dogs
Loved the place and its very huge.
Love the H-Mart! It has all the goods from a bakery, live seafood, and ready-to-eat food. I love the fresh bread and variety of kimchi available in this location.
Absolutely amazing Korean grocery store with an excellent selection of hard-to-find Asian ingredients and food. Would highly recommend checking out their cilounter service food court section, with everything from bulgogi to Korean hotdogs. The bakery and its unique pastries are amazing as well.
This place was surprisingly great. It has a nice selection of food and household items. This place also has a fresh seafood section and a food court.
First time shopper and it was amazing. All kinds of fresh fish and seafood. Very reasonable prices. I will be returning soon.
I’d give a 0 star if it lets me. If you ever shop groceries at this HMart, I’d recommend checking their product expiration dates, or simply don’t shop there.I bought expired products there twice already in the past 2 weeks, including frozen meat that already started to smell and a bottle of sauce. I only noticed the product issues until I got home.Terrible shopping experience. Very disappointed.
Best selection of pan-asian foods around. Go hungry, but hit the food court first! If youre seeking chili crisp you may have to hit Li-Mings - H-Mart regularly sells out.
Compared to most grocery stores in the area, they have the best quality and variety of produce. Great place to find fresh gourmet mushrooms. Their fresh seafood selection is comprehensive as well. Compared to other asian groceries in the area, their dry goods are not as varied.
Great Market with fresh produce, meat, seafood, coffee shop, and food court. They have a great selection of items hard to find at other markets. Staff is super friendly and store is clean!
Awesome Place! Just come to experience this for yourself. My words just wont... ❣️🥰💗
Bakery was phenomenal, plenty of delicious baked daily items. Produce section was stocked with fresh and colorful fruits and veggies.
Lots of variety. First time going there pleasantly surprised by the bakery and restaurants . The food was amazing. Stop by just for that.
Great variety, check out is fast. Their pastries are amazing!
Absolutely fantastic, always has everything I need in stock, and the Udon soup from their restaurants on the left side is some of the best udon soup Ive had ever.
Really cool place to shop, I always snag a red bean bun and try and eat in the cafe. Authentic stuff is really interesting to see.
Maybe this place should watch their employee behavior better. See very rude employee afternoon yesterday. (15/09)They thinking employee should getting priority service than customer. The employee got mad after hear the customer complain about. Yell and finger point at the customer . Does H Mart very proud this kind of employee? ( the one was a old lady) .Of course, seem no one knowing about Customer Service at Customer Service area, only a new one there when thing happend, but no any action to bad behavior employee or unhappy customer . They donot care!
I am an African-American man I love H Mart I love to shop there the people are so nice and they are very helpful in every way they can be I love their selection of dry goods and their selection of seafood as well as their selection of cooked food at the food court I tell everyone about this place and some people I dont because its like a hidden gem for me thank you H mart
