Our favorite Indian restaurant with extensive vegetarian options! The Samosa Chaat is delicious and every entree weve tried is bursting with flavor and spice, oh the delicious spice. It is a tad spicier than what the average Westernized pallet is used to, so be aware when ordering. Also, for naan lovers, theirs is just average.

Food was amazing! Yummy, flavorful and meat was cooked perfectly. I loved the cilantro sauce and the atmosphere was also nice. I will definitely be coming back when the upstairs is open! The customer service was also great, everyone was so kind and helpful I felt very welcomed and comfortable. I also loved the cheesecake there and it was only $4, the prices were great for the amount of food you get. I went here spontaneously and it was the best decision I ever made. Definitely check this place out!!!

Been trying to find some great Indian food in the triangle and we finally did !!!!place is really clean, decor is quite eclectic, food is fast and service is good !!!my only complaint is that the naan was a bit too oily for my taste but Ill still eat it !we easily found parking outside and the place is wheel chair friendly

This is one of the finest place for local people to try Indian food. It has the authentic flavors of Indian food but the spices are toned down for all to experience the authenticity.I personally didnt like the mango lassi but overall a nice place.

This place is wonderful gem on Edinburgh South in Cary. Please come eat well and enjoy. The food was excellent and this will become a regular spot for me.

First time eating here. Ordered the Butter Chicken and Chicken Jalfrezi. Portions were good. One word of caution is that the Butter Chicken may run a little bit hotter than expected. The Jalfrezi had the perfect amount of heat to it. Finished off with refreshing mango laasis.

Honestly been to every “Indian” restaurant in wake county this was unbelievable easily the best food of any culture I’ve had in sometime! Been meaning to try it out for years and glad I finally did!

I love this place, the folks are exceptionally friendly. My issue is that the food is exceptionally spicy, the eating session is like torture. I am fine if this is how the food is offered here, but they tell you they can lower the spiciness of the food. But no matter how many times I request mild spice was it never comes out any different than the times I didn’t make that request. The top of my head is etching and my eyes are teary, for sad I will not be coming here anymore.

I got butter chicken with naan and swapped the chickpea salad for raita. It was so delicious and the plating was very pretty, next time I’m in Cary I’m definitely dropping by. The staff is also incredibly friendly and helpful.

Charming very clean interior. Very extensive menu. Came in for takeout and a mango lassi. The food was great. I ordered three items for myself and my husband and we had plenty of food with leftovers for my lunch. The Aloo Gobi was lovely and my favorite. My husband enjoyed his chicken curry dish as well. The only complaint I have is we only received one piece of bread for two people. Maybe they thought one person was going to eat that much food? The young man at the counter was very courteous and friendly and brought my drink to me instead of calling me up to get it. I will certainly be back with friends the next time I am in the area.

Im no expert on Indian food or this places authenticity factor. However, I do know that the experience was excellent! My fiance, who doesnt even like Indian food, absolutely loved the appetizer I bought (Samosa Chat). Wow, what a good flavor that yogurt raita had. I ate the appetizer all by myself! For my entree, I ordered Chicken Korma. Delicious sauce and fantastic portion size - it came with lots of actual chicken korma, chickpeas salad, 2 naan bread and a cup of rice. Only $12 for such a portion. As expected, delicious!The interior was quite nice and modern as well. Unique seating and decor with a quick ordering system which ensures you arent waiting forever for your waiter to take your order. Overall super positive experience and I cant wait to be back. Even my fiance said she will order something next time. :)

This is the best Indian place i have ever been too! All the food we had didnt have the extra masala which we get in other Indian restaurants. The food tasted fresh and delicious!Somehow I feel the chef must be a Pakistani chef as the bread they give is typically used in Pakistan and not India.This is now my favorite Indian restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was excellent.Loved it.

This place is great. Solid menu, great atmosphere.There’s an upstairs and downstairs both with self service drink stations making it easy to get refills.The ambiance is very relaxed and it just feels cozy but with a modern feel.

Horrible experience I have had in the recent times. Firstly they hv odd hours 4-8 30pm dnt know weather its lunch or dinner time!! They serve lunch dinner menu at this time. Extreme high waiting time. We literally waited more than an hour for one dish. Staff doesnt communicate well. No customer service. Never go with kids to this place. Its going to turn into nightmare with restless hungry toddlers and inconvenient wait time

Every single thing we tried, and we tried a lot was delicious. The sag was the best and I actually really liked the Moroccan hummus. It was the first time I had tried it and its pretty tasty. The fries were definitely on the hot side and we probably could have done without those but the food in general was outstanding. The staff was incredibly friendly and at the ready to offer suggestions if you need it. They atmosphere is bright and clean and I cannot wait to get back again!

Had lunch here for the first time and wasnt sure what to expect. Ill start off by saying I wasnt disappointed!The restaurant is casual with an open atmosphere and an upstairs seating area (although it was closed when I ate there). Ordering is done at a counter inside the restaurant. Once you order, they give you a number and you seat yourself. They did notice we were a larger party and pulled some tables together for us. Nice touch.The menu has plenty of curries and meats and vegetables to choose from. Youd be hard pressed not to find something you like. Dishes come with a Raghani naan and a drink. Keep this in mind when you look at the prices, youre not going to have to add two or three dollars to the gist of your meal.Today I chose the Chicken Korma. The dish usually comes mild, as do most if not all their dishes. I decided to get mine hot. A good choice. It has some heat but wasnt too hot to make the meal unenjoyable. The dish came with chick pea salad, rice and cilantro sauce The flavor and spices in the Korma was very nice, I liked it a lot. I was a little surprised they didnt severe very much rice with their meals, Im used to getting much more rice. But thats not necessarily a bad thing, the portions are a good size.Ill definitely be back!

Cilantro is a thoroughly enjoyable experience through and through. The owners and their staff are pleasant, the food tastes remarkable, and the array of spices is extensive. But one thing that you must try, for all those with a sweet tooth, is their mousse. I’m sitting here with a empty plate that once held the holy confection know as Oreo Mousse. Incredible.

I recently went to Cilantro Indian Cafe for the first time for a late lunch and was tremendously impressed! I had heard good things about the quality of the food, which was excellent, but was even more impressed with the staff. From taking our order to bussing our table, all of the staff were very kind and genuine. I cant wait to go back again.

When I tasted the tamarind sauce I almost threw up. It was made with mayonnaise. Korma tasted fresh but not authentic. $$ price too high for amount of food given.

Let me tell you how amazing this restaurant is! It’s immaculately clean. You order at the counter, pay and they bring you your food. The workers were so friendly and helpful with ordering. The Chat was amazing and so was the saag and tikka masala. The presentation of the food was perfect too! The only 1 thing that I wasn’t loving and that was the naan. It didn’t seem like it was made fresh there and more like it may have been prepackaged. Of course this is a story I told myself by the way it felt and tasted to me. With that being said I still don’t care and loved everything else.That’s my 2 cents now you decide.

Fantastic flavors, deep spiciness. Gobi chana masala and Moroccan hummus were amazing. Green chili sauce on side was so fresh and spicy. Naan was fresh and good. New favorite Indian.

My husband and I tried the tandoori chicken and the tikka masala chicken. I thought the tandoori was pretty good, but didn’t care for the tikka masala much (have had much better elsewhere). The main dish portions were small, but naan and drinks are included in the meal.He liked the naan a lot, but of course I didn’t try it. Everything was gluten free aside from the naan! Friendly staff. I absolutely love Cilantro! Ive been coming very often for 4 years and I am only stopping because Im moving across the country :(The owners are wonderful people, the staff are attentive and cooperative, and most importantly, the food is superb. Theres a wide variety of choices on the menu and its very vegetarian/vegan friendly. My personal favorite is the chicken korma!P.S. Do NOT miss out on the cheesecake. Its so rich and filling. The cookie dough cheesecake is essential to finishing a Cilantro meal!!

Loved the saag paneer and bihari coconut paneer. The strawberry cream cake and samosa chat were decent as well.

One of my favorite places to frequent for some delicious food. My go-to dish is the paneer makhani! The staff there are also so attentive and kind.

Its located in macgregor village near the cary auto park. The food is okay nothing special. Food a little slow in coming out. Would probably try again if out in the area again in future.

This is my new favorite restaurant!!! I will drive 30-40 minutes just to eat there. The food is absolutely fabulous! The menu has a large vegetarian and vegan section and everything Ive tried has been amazing. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and everyone is very kind and accommodating. Just walking in makes me feel happy but the food makes me even happier!

We just got pickup from Cilantro. Food was superb. Spices were spot on. Have missed good Indian food in a big way! We got Chicken Saag, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Lamb coconut curry. The guys at pickup were so nice and the restaurant was spotless. Food was ready on time. Best meal we have had in a while.

My wife and I go here quite. We love the place. I always get the Lamb Karahi which Is pictured below. It is a very spicy dish but I cant stop ordering it! Their tandoori chicken is also delicious. And of course adding paneer to any and every dish is a great idea :p Their homemade desserts also are really good. Havent had a bad slice yet. The family that owns the place are really sweet and considerate. They make you feel welcome. The picture below is the karahi with rice and chickpea salad which really helps cool your mouth for a spicy dish.

I came by here today for dinner while I was staying nearby and the service was absolutely fantastic! Fast, polite and genuine! Although the seating area isn’t open yet, (Covid) there is a lovely waiting area and the restaurant itself is very clean and beautifully decorated. I’m definitely going to be back when I’m staying in Cary again!

I work next door at Baked cookies & dough. Last night was the first time I went to Cilantro for dinner. The young man behind the counter was very polite and welcoming, the food was awesome and the desert was outstanding. I think I found my new favorite place to eat!

I have had the pleasure of eating here twice now and my entire family (seven year old included) absolutely love this place. I lived in Los Angeles for seven years and have traveled all over the world, Cilantro serves great food! If you have the opportunity to eat here do NOT pass it up. The spice level is 100% perfect, even my little man was chowing down the food ( lots of water) but couldnt stop. The environment and ambiance is very comfortable, the staff is so kind, friendly and professional. If you order you food for pick up, you will NOT be disappointed. This place is REAL, REALLY DELICIOUS! Customer for life:)

Juicy moist chicken, Rice cook not too soft but not left chewy, Just the right amount onion to cut the spice and a fair portion.Ammus chicken 8/10 (10/10 if i would have gotten bone in) good serving size delicious aroma and flavor, tender chicken and potato. With the raving reviews, I was expecting to try the best Indian food of my life... turned out to be the WORSE. Where should I start? I had the chicken tikka masala and the butter potatoes with the garlic butter naan. The chicken in the tikka masala was over cooked and dry, even after being in the sauce. The sauce was very watery and not creamy. The rice was semi hard... like it was old and add onto that it wasn’t much rice in container. Naan tasted like a frozen store bought naan dipped in garlic seasoned flavored butter... Disgusted. Will never have to worry about me coming here again.

The only place that makes curry with white meat instead of dark! Reminds me of my favorite restaurant in VA. It took a long time to find it but only a few miles away! Always very friendly and very accommodating when I have special requests like “more yogurt”!

I believe this used to be the old Horowitz location. It is well decorated, bright, and very clean, with a semi private upstairs area/balcony eating area. The food is well prepared and also very cleanly presented - all nice white dishes. Prices were fair (maybe a little high). Definitely a place to go back to and really good for business lunch or dinner. Looking forward to my next visit!

My family has been going to Cilantro for over a year now and have loved every meal. This family run restaurant has incredible food and even more amazing service. Just the other week when taking out the order, we forgot to grab our bag of extra naan. One of the brothers ran after our car for well over 100 meters before we realized he was following us. And HE apologized to US even though we forgot. Outstanding people and I highly recommend to anyone craving some amazing Indian food.

Go to Indian food. Their samosa chat is incredible. Perfectly spiced, creamy and crunchy. Food is on the spicy end, which I just love.

Great place for date night with a very nice dining room. Take away for lunch is also fantastic and reasonably priced. Their biryani is great and the portion sizes are large.

If I could give more stars I would. The food is delicious. The chicken tikka masala, Moroccan hummus, and chicken biryani are our go-to favorites. The samosas are great and the homemade pies are SO good for a special dessert treat. I’d also recommend the cilantro sauce to add a little extra herby spiciness to your meal.But even better than the food is the service. I can’t say enough about how incredible the team here is. So friendly, so accommodating, and they know who you are when you walk in the door - which is such a great feeling. They’ve also gone above and beyond to provide a safe atmosphere in light of COVID-19.

The food is delicious and fresh, and they have options for people who are new to Indian food as well as those whove been eating it their whole lives. The dining room is bright and vibrant, I love everything about this place! Absolutely worth a try for anyone craving Indian.

Ive been here enough times now to definitively say that this place is a real gem and you really cant go wrong no matter what you order. The people who operate this restaurant are always very pleasant and kind. Not sure how anyone could leave this place a negative review - weve probably been here twenty times now and have never had a bad experience.

Delicious food and big portions. It’s a little pricey, but so are most nicer Indian restaurants. Whatever the name of the employee who was working the register during lunch on August 2nd is excellent. Super polite and helpful with suggestions if it’s your first time. Will definitely be back whenever I’m craving some curry.

This is my favorite takeout place in the area. Food is great, they can make anything vegan of that is what you want, including Naan. While takeout is awesome am sure it is great eating in too. I always try to get one of the cream cakes as they are all great!

The concept is great but the management needs help. The kitchen was backed up. The food was okay-good, catered to more of a western palate but we ate it with the additional help of fresh green chilis. we ordered tea after dinner and waited 45 minutes for tea that was lukewarm when arrived and made from a prepackaged tea bag with the spices/milk already mixed in -the kind you get at Indian stores. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT on the tea!!!!And your naan is the pita bread from Costco-another disappointment. If you want to do Indian then dont take any shortcuts! The guy taking our order was very professional and nice. Staff was overwhelmed with the amount of folks coming in. One thing is for sure, its not worth waiting for an hour for this place!

Cilantro is legend among those who love the spicy, delicious flavors of northern India. The food is consistently prepared using fresh, high-quality ingredients. We cant get enough butter chicken, but will occasionally drift to other menu items and were never disappointed. The atmosphere is as chic as a strip mall allows and the service is always friendly. Insider tip: take one if the awesome packaged desserts home for later. The cakes beat all the local bakeries hands-down.
