Really nice, clean, high-end natural grocery store in the back part of Castro Valley Marketplace. It is similar to a Whole Food on a smaller scale. They have a Wellness Area for your health and beauty needs, organic produce and fruits, a salad bar, hot soups, grab and go food as well as assorted cheeses. Right now, they are still putting things in shelves and getting organized. Cant wait until the place is fully up and running!!

Great place. The best of everything. Meat, baked goods, organic fruits and vegetables, a great wine celler with a knowledgeable staff and so much more like craft beers, sushi bar.

I usually enjoy my experience here and all the local foods. Today I asked for a smaller cut of Gruyere as I come by weekly to get ingredients for a ham and cheese sandwich among other things. I never use all the cheese I buy, so I asked for 5$ worth. No one is in line and I did not receive the service I expected here. I was told it wouldn’t register on the scale, I find that hard to believe with all the both small end cheese samples they have. I can go to any decent grocery store with bulk cheese and get the amount I need. Not here. The lady in this section was more interested in chatting with a coworker than helping me. Everyone else was pleasant. 3 star for hit and miss service. 5 star for selection.

So excited to have a local/organic grocery store in Castro Valley. And the little market area that they are located in is super cool. Picked up a flier showing all the new business openings. Bakery, oil and balsamic shop, craft beers, sushi, a butcher, a spice shop, and the cannery kitchen opens in September...all good stuff! The produce we got at the grocery was delicious and they have some of our favorite brands of packaged food too. Happy customer, definitely going back!

Awesome place for a small family size 2-4 persons. Food is fresh and very healthy. This place has re-inspired our inner home chef. The people are friendly and very helpful.

I was so impressed with this Marketplace, we were greeted at the door by a young man who not only opened the door for use but provided us with hand sanitizer. As we entered the door there was the aroma of fresh baked bread, to our left, fresh blends of spices to our right and in the middle was an Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar bar!!! They also have a fresh meat market, toward the back is where the salad bar and hot foods are located and the Market. There veggie selection is wonderful all fresh and Organic, dairy section had a wide choice of items. I will be returning on a regular basis. Customer Service was wonderful, everyone was so very nice and kind. Apon leaving the young doorman, provided us hand sanitizer and opened the door for us. 1st Class Service.Thank you Castro Valley Marketplace for making my experience a fantastic one.

Convenient, affordable price for fruits and vegetables

Amazing selections of organic, local and sustainable products. They truly hold higher product standards than Trader Joe’s and Amazon/Whole Foods. I’m willing to pay the small price difference and support my local producers and artisans...those dollars will go back into my community one way or another.

Dropped in to check it out after the soft opening. Attractive place. Butcher shop has really nice meat. Perused the grocery a bit. Nice selection staff was very friendly. Worth shopping here. Easier to get in and out than TJs

Went to the soft opening today. We were greeted and welcomed plus given a mini tour. They will have butcher with exotic meats like venison, buffalo, etc. The bakery has awesome crunchy on the outside and tasty inside croissants. The produce section has numerous types of apples, fresh salad greens, a variety of mushrooms and everything inbetween. They have a cheese counter and the Holy Cow cheese from the central coast is the creamiest! They will have sushi as well. Numerous frozen foods prepared and not as well as frozen desserts. A welcome addition to Castro Valley!

High quality and interesting selection. The whole center, with different vendors, works together as a full service market, only better!

We love this place! My fiancé and I are vegans and familiar with many Bay Area options, so we were skeptical at first. To our delightful surprise, they had many of our favorite products! To name a few; Vegan cinnamon rolls, Oat Milk mozzarella (Oatzerella), Oatly milk, Nancy’s Oat milk yogurt, fresh bread, delicious garlic infused olive oil, oh my! The vegan soups were outstanding and they even had prepared salads with awesome add-ins and delicious dressings. We will be making this a monthly stop, for sure!

I only wish they had a larger ice cream selection, but for its size this organic friendly grocery has a surprisingly complete selection of necessities.

A gourmet grocery store has arrived in Castro Valley. I have only been twice, but it seems to have almost everything you need. With the bakery and fish and meat markets up front, I am hoping this will be supported and thrive.

I went in there today. OMG absolutely ridiculous the prices $24.99 a pound for salmon when WHOLE FOODS AND TRADER JOES carries the same salmon for $9.99 a pound. The prices are ridiculous!!!!! Come on you guys.
