I was having issues upgrading a phone line on the Verizon website (site kept crashing, incorrect options kept registering as selected, and the checkout process was surprisingly convoluted and kept trying to nudge me to a different plan). I figured Id have a better experience just speaking to an associate and upgrading the phone line in-person.Though the staff member was courteous, all they did was tell me to open the MyVerizon app and upgrade the phone line in-app. The staff member was on standby in case we had any questions, which was appreciated, but the entire transaction was done by in-app by me. Maybe this would have been handled differently if the store had any of the planned upgrade phones in stock.Once I had finished the in-app upgrade, the estimated new bill increased by $5/month (even though I paid for the upgrade outright and didnt change the plan). When I asked the staff member why this was the case, he had no idea. There was no attempt to look at my account information - I was just told that I would need to call customer service.I then asked if the staff member would be able to help me with an ongoing issue with my account (Mobile+Home rewards had not been correctly applied for months). The staff member informed me that all they did was handle retail, and that I would have to contact customer service.Based on my experience, I am not sure what functional purpose physical Verizon stores serve. In the future, I guess I will just conduct all transactions through the Verizon app, and hope that I dont run into any issues.

I went into the store to resolve an account issue. They werent able to resolve it in the store. The worker took a great deal of time in the store, calling the company, reviewing my paperwork and interceding for me. This was excellent customer service. He made the effort to help and listened. Handicap accessible parking was available, right in front of the store.

Abe is an amazing sales associate. He helped me out with a really complicated port-in from T-Mobile to Verizon. He got data products activated that Verizon doesnt sell. He even stayed 30 minutes past his duty shift to get everything activated.

Very very disappointed in the staff. The two “managers” I spoke were extremely RUDE! I will be updating this post with their names. They were very disrespectful to my wife, talked down to her clearly thought they were superior to all. I have been with Verizon for 15 years and and now looking to change carriers. I pray that Verizon corporate fires the management at the Catonsville corporate store. They do NOT represent the Verizon brand and are hurting the business big time. There are many people currently looking forJobs that would do much better than the two “managers” we encountered yesterday. Clearly these male managers don’t know how to be kind to people, especially females.

The worst customer service I have ever received in any retail establishment. Incredibly rude and unhelpful staff and manager. We were shouted at by the store representative, and in spite of having an appointment, we were told by the store manager that any time they spent helping us would be “taking time away from other customers.” Hilariously, there were no other customers in the store or outside waiting. I guess we were the only ones dumb enough to try to go to this store and expect any help with our account. I have been a Verizon Wireless subscriber for almost 20 years, but this alone experience has made me want to switch providers to AT&T. My recommendation is to avoid this store at all costs.

The staff was very friendly and professional. We were able to upgrade our phones and add a new line without any issue. Any question asked was answered, and every request done to the best of their abilities. Honestly do recommend anyone using Verizon to come here!

There was 3 customers in the store, the sign said no more then 8 customers at one time. I needed to make a automated payment, the guard said I could not come in until someone left, two customers left . And he said I still had to wait. Then a guy came in and asked to make a automated payment and the guard let him in . And would not let me in . I will not return to this location .

I dont do a lot of reviews, but the team at this store was super helpful. I went in because my Pixel 2 was dying and was planning to upgrade. They helped me get a refurbished Pixel 2 and then I promised to come back because I wanted to upgrade. Went back today to upgrade and they didnt have the phone I wanted so they set me up with an online order. Everything went great thanks to this team! Also did an excellent job with COVID-19 procedures.

I can’t believe the lack of good customer service in this Verizon location. The first time I came I was met with the manager and then sat. One of the employees was on his phone and didn’t proceed to help me until the manager noticed. AFTER THAT I had to wait 2 1/2 hrs to see if I qualify for the Verizon credit. Meanwhile the employee was helping another customer. I was so frustrated and left. I came the next week and met with another employee who didn’t want to let me in with my son when I was allowed the first time. The store wasn’t busy and it seemed like employees didn’t want to help me at all. Furthermore, I will be driving to another location to get better customer service.

Young man was extremely knowledgeable. He fix my phone and straighten out my phone plan all in about 20 min. I have called Verizon via the phone and they couldnt straighten out my plan as I couldnt make a monthly payment by signing in which I have been doing for years. The technician on the phone couldnt do. This has been going on for approximately 3 months. As I said this young man did it all in approximately 20 min.

I had a amazing experience at this location. I purchased an iPhone at very reasonable cost plus had my new Apple Watch set up that I purchased from Best Buy. The young lady that helped me was very helpful friendly and professional. The purchase that I made was challenging to say the least because my account access passwords wouldn’t work. Annricka my Verizon representative went over and above the call of duty to make sure everything was perfect. Please make sure you ask for her when you make your next purchase at Verizon. You won’t be disappointed. The location is in Catonsville off off route #40.

The Mgr was trying to force a Samsung 10 or 10+ on me..I have researched so I will be an informed consumer and each concern I had he just said..thats not true, thats not true...He told me I NEED a 10 or 10+ period!! His reasoning was NEW IS BETTER...That is not always the case. He did not take the time to address my needs, he just wanted to sell me a 10 or 10+.Then the actual sales person I spoke to kept contradicting himself...

Changing two lines from Sprint to Verizon was not a difficult decision. Mr. Kenny took great care to explain all the details, the costs, and the options without using a hard sell sales pitch. We would say he was in fact the deciding factor in us switching carriers. This store was extremely busy but in fairness it was immediately after Christmas. If you are considering Verizon consider this store... but visit after 7 pm.

This location has AWFUL service. I purchased a phone for my mother as a birthday gift. I brought the receipt, the debit card I used as well as my license. I arrived at the store and a female employee brought the phone out. However, she would not give it to me, even though I had proof of purchase as well as the card and my ID. She stated that because Im not on my mothers account, they were unable to give the phone to me. I wasnt seeking account information or anything other than the device that I, myself, had paid for. I had to call my mother and have her drive to the store (so much for the surprise). She arrived just as the store closed. The staff glanced at her ID, verified her first name and handed the phone to her. Just an unnecessary waste of time.

Visits are always an investment in time, but staff are always visible. Management and service are always conspicuously present on the floor. No one goes unacknowledged; everyone is greeted. Staff seems to have efficiently and effectively made use of their mobile devices to appear and stay productive and present. Only suggestion: when making use of the devices tell customers what is being worked or waited on.

Erik helped me transition my phone. He bent over backwards to move my data, show me options, and explain the unnecessarily complex contracts all of these providers create. The Verizon stores and customer engagement has been improving over the years, but this is the best experience since 2003 when we started with Verizon. Thank you, Eric!

I went into the store today (November 24) to get an exchange for a cord. The manager Vicky was great in assisting me however, this was after being assisted by a gentlemen (Paul I believe was the name an employee stated). Me and my mother spoke with him about a policy for buying products when the main account holder is not present. His attitude was unprofessional and rude. We have been going to this location in Catonsville for over 5 years and never experienced this type of behavior. I realized I was given the wrong cord by him as I walked out and came back to get the right one. At this point the manager was assisting me. She approached the gentlemen about this. His attitude was poor and rude towards Vicky when she asked him about this, which I felt was not acceptable as a customer observing this. I have never had problems here. There has always been long waits at this location, but the customer service always made up for it. I have seen a switch in employees so much at this location, but never a switch in customer service until now. I appreciate Vicky’s patience and help, but I will not be returning to 6220 Baltimore National Pike in Catonsville.

Eric was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was no nonsense and not a pushy salesman. Just wanted to get me the phone i wanted and get me out happy and easy. Unfortunately i had 30g of files on my phone. Took almost 2 hours to transfer over through the cloud because it was just so much and that guy shot the breeze with me the whole time. Didnt dip out and leave me sitting and engaged completely with his customer. 100% customer service driven and good and funny people if you get held up for 2 hours of transfer data to your new phone. good folks and its corporate so you dont need to even worry about a salesmen mentality.

Friday. Dec 20 and Sat Dec 21. Both Annricka and Erik served my needs well. Erik processed my order with knowledge of Verizon products. Erik was friendly, courteous and made my visit to this location easy. Annricka activated my replacement phone with respect, patience and trouble shooting knowledge despite the pressure of closing time. I prefer this location when I need assistance rather than the Columbia location because of employees like Erik and Annricka who truly put customers needs first. Please commend Erik and Annricka and pass on my appreciation.

I dont remember that I ever visited Verizon and found Respectful staff. Its very clear that Verizon doesnt care about customer service as well as the service itself and this one of the problems of the manoply of the areas. I do have Verizon fios at home but with a lot of issues with zero customer servi e and very limited alternative in the area. So you find that you buy service from some one and at same time you hate dealing with but the alternatives are very limited! So if there is any way try to avoid to deal with Verizon.

Typical Route 40 experience! Poor service and poor attitudes. The first time I went there, the salesman sold me the wrong phone, unfortunately it was a gift so I didnt realize it for 3 weeks. They gave me a hard time about returning it so late. This week,, I didnt realize that my husband had used one of my sons 20 month rollover accounts. The woman acted like I was a complete idiot. She later told me it was because she knew what she was doing and that she had a masters degree. Isnt that special. WOW. Its fun to pay $200 a month to a company and get treated like that by its employees. I wish there was competition in this market. Ill never go to this store again.

Most unprofessional location I have ever been to. Whole time I was there staff was talking to each other and distracted with a football game that was being watched on a personal device. Because of this distraction I was never told important information regarding my accounts and things that would result in a fee being charged to my account. The manager that called to rectify this solution was also unprofessional as she was clearly unable to deal with her staff but instead let him get on the phone and proceed to tell me I was lying about never being told the information. Ive been with Verizon for YEARS and I am extremely upset with the treatment I was given from the staff at this location.

Salesman lied to me to to make a 5 dollar commission cost my family 1000s on wifi tablets worth no more that 200 each. Cost me 170 each to cancel each plan after allready lost 1000s where salesman told my family would cost 40$ if we bought new phones.

I find the staff to be very condescending and not customer friendly. I have had BETTER times with them in the past but I guess not anymore. The people look at you like you are bothering them. And instead of assuring me as a customer, they made me feel like they thought I was a liar about my charger being broken. He checked it about four different times. Then I asked him did I get an Uber discount and he stated that I am not a customer. Because I dont pay verizon a monthly bill...he seemed so loud about it as well. So I asked, Am I not a customer even though I purchase accessories through you guys? Jimi said, No. You dont have an open account with us so you are not technically a customer, anyone can buy anything from us but a customer is someone we collect a monthly bill from.... Well....I guess I wont even be an accessory customer any longer.......I felt like they were rude to me. And I do not think my perception of them is wrong.....but this is just my opinion of them
