I read all these great reviews about this place so I decided to give it a try. I went in for an oil change and they quoted me over $100 dollars for synthetic oil, which is unreasonably high, especially for my car which only needs 4 quarts of oil. After I picked up my car once the oil was changed, they gave me the bill. To my surprise, they had changed my front and rear windshield wipers without my permission and charged me for it. I specifically asked them not to perform any extra services on my car when I dropped it off. To add to that, the rear windshield wiper was faulty and left massive water streaks. Low quality parts Im guessing. Once I paid and all, I go to my car and the seatbelt was sandwiched between the door and frame. I had a bad experience and I wont be coming back. Its a very sketchy place.

I unexpectedly had to have a headlight replaced, and as someone new to Cedar Park, I had to rely on reviews to find where to go. Im so glad I found Eric and his team! He not only gave me the best estimate for my headlight, but he was able to get the part I needed and work around my schedule so my car could be fixed the next day. It looks perfect, and the price was very fair.He also did not try to take advantage and sell me on repairs I didnt need. Another shop recommended a brake fluid flush during my last oil change, and Eric was transparent after he looked at my car that for my older brakes that are battling rust, a fluid flush could do more harm than good. He gave an honest recommendation about the condition of my brakes and when to look into replacing them and even took detailed pictures so I understood what he was talking about. It would have been easy to sell me on a brake replacement I didnt yet need or cause damage with the fluid flush I asked for, but Eric earned my trust all the way.ER is a great shop with wonderful people. I will definitely be going back for future repairs!

Eric and his team do great work at a fair price. This is my second vehicle to bring in. The first one, a Dodge Magnum had an oil leak. Eric and his team took care of the leak and the car has run fine since. My second vehicle was a Volkswagen Tuareg. While Eric and team were not able to repair the Tuareg, they didnt charge me for the day it was there. If you are looking for an honest, trustworthy mechanic, go see Eric and his team. They wont do you wrong.

Took my 2008 Tundra to Eric. Bought it used and never had any work done to it except oil changes. Knew it was going to cost me some bucks but told him to take it front to back and top to bottom and make it like new. He did exactly that at a fair price and gave me a simple to read invoice. Truck runs like new!!!’

I really hoped to give this shop 5 stars like most of those who recommended them via Nextdoor but sadly, I couldnt. Eric took my vehicle in on Tuesday morning to have it checked for the issues I specified on the call. I walked back home because they didnt seem to have staff available to drive me and that was fine because I never asked for a ride (nor was one offered).I called around 1pm on Wednesday to check on it and they said they were working on it then. I didnt hear back the rest of the day, so I called this morning (Thursday) and they said it was ready to go. They did the oil change and changed out a few hoses, but the issues mentioned never occurred with them, which I found hard to believe. I went to pick it up and paid only for the oil change, which was nice. They also took off $5 because they didnt have change for a $20.When I got home, not even 10 minutes into having the car run, the smell of fumes was present again and then it died on me!! Those were the main reasons I took it in to get diagnosed. When I called back, I told Eric about what happened and he said they just couldnt find the problem. Just so we are clear here, the auto repair shop, a place with experts who are trained to know how to fix your car, couldnt find the issue in a 2003 minivan after having the vehicle for a day and a half.Unacceptable to say the least. I dont want to assume they were just trying to push my vehicle out because they were too busy to find the root cause, but Im really disappointed in this lack of service and couldnt go without writing a review. Eric sounds genuine and may have a lot of knowledge of vehicles, but my minivan isnt some fancy luxury car that is complicated to work on so there shouldnt have been any issues finding the problems. I dont plan to utilize this shop again.

I went here because I was having some obvious issues with my car. I gave Eric a list of suspected problems. He took a look at my car and told me what needed to be fixed and then proceeded to say if my wife were driving this car I would not worry about that, this, or thisI have been taking every car I have owned here and will continue to do so!! I highly recommend this place to anyone who asked. I even had my my former company start bringing their fleet there. They handled maintenance and repairs with a lot less wait than a dealership.Please do yourself a favor and go see these guys. Honest mechanics are not a dime a dozen!! I am amazed by their talent and honesty every time I go.

Very pleased with the work they did at ER automotive. They came highly recommended and our experience was no different. They took a look at our vehicle and let us know what work was essential and beat the estimate from another local shop by almost $400. Great communication and service. We’ve taken our vehicles to two other repair places in Cedar Park over the past year (that proved very disappointing) and finally we found a good, honest and reliable place we can take our cars. Great customer service. Prompt thorough and fast. My transmission failed and when I called for a quote, ER Automotive quoted a fair price and stuck to it. My truck was in and out within two days. I live in south Austin and will happily head out to Cedar Park for repairs at ER Automotive in the future.

To be honest there were at least 3 different times these people could have screwed me over and extracted more money out of me, but instead they always left me with the feeling of do unto others as you would have them do unto you. They offer curtiousy rides, and are extremely easy to work with on scheduling work and payments. Eric, the owner, is hands-down the nicest mechanic Ive worked with. Eric, Archie and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and fair in their pricing. I dont know much about cars, so I rely on my mechanic to be honest. ER Automotive is the first place Ive visited where I dont feel like Im getting screwed. Honest, fast service. Another mechanic had told me I needed some work done and I came to ER on the recommendation of a friend and got a second opinion. They told me it wasnt necessary and Ive been a loyal customer ever since. Later when I did have a necessary repair for something else, they did an outstanding job of communicating with me frequently and they even worked out everything with my warranty company for me. Cant say enough good things about them.

I have used Eric Tobar and his team since they opened ER Automotive. My parents and both grandmothers now go to him as well as many friends, based on my recommendation. I have heard only wonderful things from everyone about his shop and his team. Eric is so polite and the shop is so clean, my grandma commented after her first visit with him. I have never felt pressured, worried about being taken advantage of, scared I was being over charged. I have nothing but confidence in the work they do and the knowledge they have working on cars of all makes, models and ages. Erics ability to explain any car related problem or mechanism to someone like me, a girl who mostly just knows the car needs oil in it, would amaze you. Excellent marks from my husband and I on service, quality, honesty, care and time spent on explaining charges, work done and future recommended services. Ive already done a 5 star Yelp review about my first visit to ER Automotive in Cedar Park. This is a review about my second experience. -- I took my car in to ER Automotive because I was getting the Service Engine Soon light. I also knew I probably needed brakes because of the way my car was that back and forth vibration motion when I applied the pedal. The associate gentleman (and I cant recall his name, although thats entirely an issue about my inability to remember names and nothing about him being unmemorable!) checked both issues and let me know the engine light was nothing more than a loose gas cap. I felt somewhat silly that the issue was my fault, but the gentleman never made me feel awkward about it. He then gave me the info about my brakes, which was that they werent completely worn down but the rotors looked like they needed to be turned. He also provide a quote that I knew to be very reasonable from having gotten quotes at three other places. I voted to go ahead and replace the pads as well as have the rotor work down. --- While I waited, I asked the owner for recommendations for body work (ER Automotive doesnt do this type of service), and the he gave me two shop names. I mentioned that Id brushed up against a freshly painted pole in an airport parking garage a while back, and needed some ding and paint work. That was the end of that part of the conversation. ---- The rotor and brake services were done quickly. The price was exactly what was quoted prior to the work being done, but I had an internet coupon off their website for a discount on labor, which they happily applied. ---- As I was standing by the door waiting on my car to be driven around, another customer who was waiting for an oil change looked at me and said Theyre great here, arent they? I replied enthusiastically, and made the comment that I was so happy to have found ER Automotive and I would continue bringing my car here for as long as they were open and service remained the same. The customer said he didnt live near here and that this place was really out of his way, but he wouldnt take his car anywhere else. I thought that said a lot about ER Automotive and reinforced what I thought as well. --- When I got out to my car, the associate gentleman whod been assisting me that day showed me that he was able to remove basically all of the paint that Id scraped off the airport parking pole. In fact, I thought at first even the dent was gone, but as it turned out, the dent is so minor that, with the scraped paint removed, its all but unnoticeable. There was absolutely no charge for this service. --- I encourage everyone to do your due diligence and research when it comes to your cars care. However, with a second visit under my belt, I can once again unequivocally recommend ER Automotive. ---- If you are anywhere near ER Automotive, and even if youre not, take your car to these folks.

These guys are awesome! We have three teenage drivers with cars older than 10 years old. These guys are always reasonable and fair, I never get the long list of high price items when I take one of the kids cars in. I also take my newer suburban to them. This is the only mechanic shop I have had look at a vehicle and walk out with them telling me I do not owe them anything. I will give this shop all me business, I truly trust John, Eric, and there experience mechanics with my vehicles. This kind of business and customer loyalty is hard to find these days let alone in a mechanic where 80% of the costumers are at there mercy because of there lack of mechanical knowledge. I have done plenty of work on my own cars including changing clutches, CV joints, etc...Now I am at a point in my life that my week-ends are to important to spend working on vehicles. I am so glad I found these guys.

Bad bad experience!Took my truck in because my check engine light was on, it was supposed to be free!And I was suppose to get my truck back the next day.They ended up taking a day longer, when they finally called me they told me that somehow the powers steering stoped working wile they where checking the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT!!Had to drive my now broken truck home with no power steering and I got behind in school cause I had no transportation!So long story short, i had to trade that truck, put a low down payment on a new truck and now I owe 40,000.

Took my car there to repair a blown head gasket. They replaced a few hoses for around $600 and said the car was fixed. I took it home and had water/steam spewing from a different fitting.I took it back the next day and told them to fix the fitting and the head gasket. They replaced a bunch of hoses and charged $400 for it.My car is no longer spewing water/steam outside the engine. Instead it is leaking water into the cylinder heads from the head gasket they refused to repair. Every time I start it, I have to wait for the engine to pump to the water/steam out the exhaust before I can drive it

My check engine light was on and I brought it in for that. My light came on 1 mile from picking up my truck. They didn’t do my oil change but they charged me for it. I spent 980 dollars to fix my truck and it’s in worse shape. Stay away from ER Automotive.

These guys were friendly, fast and fair! We had a car overheating and they got us in immediately. They quickly diagnosed the problem (caused by another mechanic) and kept us updated on the details, time and cost. We will never go anywhere else. We wish we had found them 20 years ago!

Do not look any further for automotive work in this area. They not only do high quality work, they are outstanding in the area of customer service. It is nice to find folks that still care about both their craft and their reputation.

My Camero adventure with ER Auto has been a pain in the rain for them, and they have been very patient and more than cooperative. Very nice people, one mechanic even spoke with my son in Seattle to explain the problem to him (so he could explain it to me!) Although I was skeptical - a woman with car trouble can be $$ for some mechanics - they have proven to be right on and honest, and fair with their prices. Highly recommend them, I will use them in the future, and make them my mechanic shop!

I went here because of the reviews..Im not sure how many of them are friends, family, employees or if I just got the short end of the stick, but I would not go back here. I went to have my car fixed and they told me at first $450. Then they found a lot of other things wrong and had to order more parts to fix it and said it would be $1400. The guy on the phone was nice and said that he could hold off on fixing one part and just fix what really needed to be fixed and maybe I wouldnt have to get my catalytic converter installed which would save me $200, so I told him that sounded good. My husband heard the conversation too. It was suppose to be fixed in 2 days, but when I called on the second day, they said they werent sure and would call back. Never got a call. I called back and they said they would have to get back to me. They never did. I called again and they said they would have to keep it another day. When my husband called they finally said they would be pushing it but it would be ready by the end of the day (3rd day). When they called to say it was ready they said it would be $1600!!! Me and my husband were FURIOUS that what we were told on the phone was incorrect and they tried to justify by saying Im the owner and I wrote it down. Well we did too! We borrowed $1300 just in case it was more than $1200. We went back and forth with the owner. NOw I will say he gave it to us for $1300...but put us in a very uncomfortable situation to have to fight for the price he said it was. I am giving 1 star because we did talk him close to the price he originally said. But even then it wasnt what he told me and my husband, so really we didnt get a deal. It was more than what he expressed. And him saying hes the owner and he wrote it down was irritating. We arent stupid and didnt misunderstand what he said. And to make us feel that way is upsetting. Be careful when you read reviews. Make sure people arent you have vouched for your mechanic. It sucks to have to deal with this type of stuff and to be without your car and hitch rides for 3 days when you were told 2.

These A-holes are idiots who kept my car for over 2 weeks, and never called me to tell me about the diagnosis for my car. Over a month later, I get it back after a 2,000 dollar valve repair, have to take it back, because those morons messed up. Also, A/C was working when they got it, and stopped working when I got my car back. They refused to admit they made any mistakes.....Except for taking my money!!!!!!!!DONT EVER GO THERE!!!
