My husband and I recently moved from Aurora, CO to Urbandale, IA. Julian and Dillon were with us every step of the way, from packing our belongings onto the truck to unloading the truck at our destination. We felt very comfortable with them and are extremely pleased at how well everything went. Unlike long-distance moves with the big moving companies, our move with Road Scholars had no delays in waiting for our belongings to arrive. The truck was in our new driveway precisely at the time we wanted it to be, and Julian & Dillon worked very efficiently to get it unloaded. Our quote to move a sofa, loveseat and 40 medium size boxes from Parker, CO to Winter Springs FL is $13,000+Shop, Shop, Shop people, this is extortion.Also, their response is inaccurate, they were available for $13k.They offered an explanation that they dont share client loads, AND they dont pick up a load coming back to CO. Seems like a bad business practice to come back empty, or its simply an excuse for high pricing and taking advantage of the market. I fully support capitalism, but I also vet and spend wisely. You should too.

I worked with two different crews - one that picked up all my furniture and some boxes and put them into a storage unit 15 minutes down the road, and one that emptied the storage unit and took everything to my house. The first crew was responsible for wrapping most of my furniture in plastic, getting it out of my house (which was challenging because of the layout), and then packing everything carefully in storage.I would give the first crew a 4 star rating. They were smart, professional, and reasonably fast, but they definitely didnt move as fast as the could. I would give the second crew 5 stars all day long, and would hire them again in a heartbeat. They were literally running in and out of the truck, they were strong and agile, and they were very careful.Both crews were very careful to protect my furniture. While there are some new nicks and scratches, its nothing I wouldnt have done myself if Id had done the move with friends and family.I price compared Road Scholars with some other local movers, and while they were a little more expensive, they had good reviews. When I hired them, I had good interactions with their office staff, and everyone was a pro - movers showed up right on time, truck was newer and well cared for, the movers knew some good tricks for packing and protecting my stuff.Overall, Id give them five stars. While I wish the first crew had moved a little quicker (especially after seeing how fast the second crew was), it is a minor complaint on my part. Both crews worked hard and were careful, which is great.

Just moved to CO from CA, and the movers were amazing. Chris gave me a super reasonable quote, and it came in under budget, which is unheard of! WOW! There are so many great things that I have to say about this company and the owner and employees. We had a little bit of a hick up with our new landlord and Zach (the Owner) went above and beyond to get everything that the property manager needed and pulled strings to get it quickly.They ended up having to come back later on in the evening to finish the move (our fault, not theirs) and they were so willing to do whatever needed to get the job done. Walter and Brandon were Rock stars and remained so positive the entire time. You can tell that they really enjoy what they do and they are all about customer service. We will use this company again for all our business moving needs, and request Walter and Brandon help us out again.

Best movers in Colorado!! They are extremely professional, excellent communication, they were flexible with some unexpected timing hiccups, and MY things were taken care of like it belonged to THEM. Moving is such a hassle and Road Scholars just made it a seamless and, frankly, pleasant experience. I have very high quality furnishings and was nervous to have anyone move them but these guys just killed it! I couldn’t have done a better job if I did it all myself.

This was by far the best moving experience I had thanks to Road Scholars moving professionals, Tyler & Zach. I had to do an emergency move and did not know where to begin. They were extremely, quick, efficient, thoughtful, kind, and a joy to be around. They helped me organize, pack, and protect my furniture from getting damaged. These movers are very unprofessional and damaged my office furniture and broke a credenza. Of course they claimed it wasn’t damaged by them and it was quality of the furniture that was to blame. It was in perfect condition before they touched it. The credenza was broken and was in repairable. Be careful!

We used Road Scholars for our move this weekend. I was impressed with this company starting from Chris who took my initial call and set up the move. I informed him about what our needs were and he was responsive and made sure that he had what my family needed for our move. He followed up with me a day before the move to see if we had any questions or concerns and to confirm the location. The men he sent were the most kind and professional men we have ever had moving us. They were respectful and knowledgeable. We had a difficult set of stairs for them to maneuver and they did it without damaging anything or complaining. I would recommend them to anyone!

We have used Road Scholars 4 times over the last year for house and apartment moves. They have always been on time, efficient and costeffective. Our last move was completed yesterday by PJ, Miguel and Walter. Again, everything was on time and fast. All three of them were very good to work with. We certainly recommend Road Scholars and their staff.

They were moving my neighbor was blocking my driveway. I tried to go around my sensor went off freezing my car. One mover tried to fight me because I told him to move the truck up. He kept telling me to come out the car so I can fight him when I couldnt even open my driver door to get out. After I managed to turn off sensor and park my car a random guy comes up to my window with a stick kept trying to escalate my anger. Employees of this company are absolutely unprofessional. I really question their reviews / Police officer agreed that manager guy should have never came up to my window with a cane and escalate my anger at my own property / Please do not lie about me and what happened. I would love to see the video recordings. My neighbor says you guys always park like jack somethings.

Update 5/19/21: I used Road Scholars for a second move where I needed stuff moved from a house to a storage unit and they were just so spectacular. Quan and Brandon helped us with this move and they were above and beyond helpful. For the actual move, they wrapped everything perfectly and were so careful even with our antiques. Our storage unit was in a facility that was incredibly tight for their truck but they were able to maneuver it and haul everything into the unit. But they also went beyond any expectations, they were so patient with my dad who had all sorts of questions. My mom has some mobility issues and they constantly checked in with her to be sure she was okay which was very sweet and reassuring.Original: This was one of the easiest moves. Dillon and Emad were really nice, very efficient, and really careful with all of my stuff.

It was incredible. I had a disaster experience with their competitor. Roads came in and saved the day. Picking up where the other company couldn’t complete...I was quoted for a 6 hour move which was exactly what I anticipated going into it.Dillon, Miguel, and Nick knocked it out in 2.75 hours!!!!!!That was a savings of 3.25 hours. That’s a small vacation. Thank you Roads. Customer for life.

I was excited to work with Roads Scholars after my friend recommended them and I spoke to Chris on the phone. Unfortunately, my experience has been very negative since. During the move, one of their employees was reckless with my items. I had multiple items damaged during my move including artwork that cannot be replaced, a broken lamp, a large standing Crate & Barrel mirror, and the glass of a picture frame. I have reported this damage to the manager, owner, and BBB. The owner was very frustrating over the phone and not at all sympathetic to the situation or apologic about the extent of the damage. After waiting 3 weeks and not being able to repair my belongings, I was only compensated $20 despite over $500 of damage. I did not purchase additional insurance as I didnt expect multiple broken items. I was overcharged for the labor. The owner is not all customer service oriented. Id review her responses to other negative reviews including where she accused another reviewer of being intoxicated. Overall, a disappointing experience.

I have moved many times and I have to say that my move on 5/10/19 was the best by far. I chose Road Scholars to move us again (used for a prior move) and they are by far the best moving company I have ever used. We knew our move was daunting so we booked 2 trucks, 4 guys. From the initial call to discuss a quote to the actual moving day, I couldnt have been more pleased with the communication and entire process. We had Dillon, Miguel, Isaiah and Jacob helping us on moving day. They were the most polite, respectful, helpful and amazingly hard working guys who made our entire day actually enjoyable and smooth. Had a great experience with this company! When I first called for a quote, I had a chance to talk to the owner and she was so nice and helpful! The movers were there on time and moved everything so quickly and efficiently, I wasnt nervous about anything. After having a terrible experience with our last movers, my husband didnt want to hire anyone for our move but we didnt have a choice with so much stuff and 2 small children. Used Road Scholars to move our fairly sizable household from one end of town to another in February 2014. They were very accommodating to our situation, in that we have a special needs daughter whose transition to the new house, as well as babysitting schedule, needed to be taken into account. Also, we had a load that needed to be taken to a third location. They set up this extra stop so that it was the most efficient with time and packing and therefore the least extra cost. So RS was able to pack one day, then split the actual move into two of the subsequent 3 days. Everything was done professionally. Start time was a window of 8-9 am, and they arrived within that window each of the three days. We did not pay for the additional insurance, and although we havent unpacked everything, so far only 1-2 minor items are broken (insurance would not have been worth it). The movers were friendly and reliable and fast. Before we moved, we got three estimates. Two were about the same, but RS was almost $1000 less. Considering the extra stop, they came in pretty close to the estimate. I would use RS again and would recommend them. In summary, they were very good, and substantially cheaper than two other companies.

Tyler and Emad did an amazing job - finished early, under budget, everything got there undamaged and went where it was supposed to, and they were friendly and easy to work with. This was my second move with Road Scholars and I have been completely satisfied from the pre-planning through to the final customer satisfaction inquiry. Highly recommend!

This is the way moving should be. It was convenient to be able to list out my items online for a ballpark of what my move was going to cost. Once here, they took a quick tour to access what was being moved and double checked on certain items. I have some really heavy pieces. I thought my walls would be torn up, or movers would flat out say no way, or double charge.Jeremy and Sean were professional, friendly and knew what they were doing. Blew me away when they loaded my heavy dish packs on their backs and RAN out front door! They protected my doorways and floors at both locations and always double checked which pieces were going where.The total cost came out less than the initial estimate which saved me money! The price is fair for the work that they do. We moved out of a 3rd story condo with some extremely heavy items, and we had way more stuff to move than we originally thought. The two movers that came over to move us went above and beyond. They wrapped everythingup in shrink wrap and had big wardrobes for us to use for all our hanging items, which made life much easier. They were very kind and friendly. I highly recommend Road Scholars !

Took great care of my furniture by wrapping it in shrink wrap and covering it with blankets. We agreed to reschedule the move a few days later than originally planned due to inclement weather, but they seemed flexible to either reschedule or keep the original day (though the time wouldve been later in the day). The day of the move, they arrived about an hour and a half earlier than scheduled (which I was told may happen and my preference was for a morning move, so I was very pleased with this). I used a competitor for a past move and they were reckless with my stuff and begged for tips. I tipped my movers from Road Scholars without them ever mentioning it because I was so pleased with what a great job they did.

Road Scholars Storage gets a -1 stars. I had a move, storage and then delivery of the stored furniture. The initial move was pretty good. The storage and delivery were dreadful. I have many complaints but the worst was my dining room furniture. Every piece was scratched or gouged. The glass in the china cabinet doors was broken and the glass shelves were lost. Try someone else and storage that you control.

We had Road Scholars move our office not long ago and I am so impressed and so grateful! Not only were the owners of the company completely responsive, competent, and really helpful but everyone with this company was great! Katrina did our estimate quickly and accurately, she was super nice and helpful, and she had our insurance forms ready with no problem. We chose this company very simply because the bid came in the lowest (by almost $1000 less than Johnson and Mesa) and they seemed the most willing to work within our limitations with the building hours, etc. The guys who came to actually do the move were all really nice, easy to be around, and friendly, and they were true professionals. I believe our guys were Lamar, Biz, and Reggie, all of which I personally recommend! We couldnt tip them enough, honestly. And we feel like we couldnt say thank you enough for how hard they worked and how delicate they were with our stuff. We have some extremely heavy and expensive items, lots of collectible pieces of art, beautiful desks and credenzas that are very sentimental to us, and we had TONS of filing cabinets and files. With all of the items we had to move (both from our basement storage and our office) there wasnt ONE SINGLE ding, dent, or scratch anywhere...not on the furniture, not in the old office, and not in our new one. I know, I looked! They were just so careful and they went slower when it was necessary to handle our stuff with the greatest care. I am so impressed with the professionalism and the attention to detail. Plus, these guys dealt with one problem after another (our elevators stopped working, my car broke down, the St. Paddys day parade was going on that day, etc., etc.) and they did it all with grace. They worked really hard for nearly ten hours straight and they not only got the job done, they did it perfectly. I would recommend these movers and this company to anyone and everyone.

I contacted and used Road Scholars for move within my office space. The movers sent to disassemble and move and then reassemble office furniture, were extremely careful and meticulous in their work. They took great care to make sure everything was perfect and in complete working order. The total job took roughly half the time I would have expected, so everyone was happy to be up and running sooner then we had estimated. I strongly endorse Road Scholars Moving and Storage and have recommend them to others who have shared the same experience we had.

Really enjoyed working with Roads Scholars. The office staff was very courteous and responsive, the crew arrived on time (and called to confirm they were on the way). Smog, Ace, Marc and Julio were all very professional, personable and careful with our belongings. Id say the exercised the right amount of hustle vs caution. And, I have to say this is the most fun Ive had with movers. Its refreshing to work with folks who enjoy their job and work hard to meet expectations at the same time! Also, our job came in on budget. Id definitely recommend this company and especially this crew.

Moving is something I dont enjoy doing at all, but Ive done it twice in 16 years and have used Road Scholars both times. I cant say enough positive things about the 3 lovely men who moved my household this past weekend - Smog, Julio and Roy were sweet and just so awesome. Great experience. Have used them twice and will be using them again in 6-7 months when our new house is complete. I work at a storage facility and watched these guys work. I asked them to move their truck (just park it at an angle, lots of other crews do it) as the parked in a way that blocked my road down to one lane, and the man in charge blustered into the office, said they left enough room, and blustered out before I could say anythingelse. He didnt have to field the three complaints we had about how dangerous it is to not be able to see oncoming traffic. We asked them several to not hold the elevator for too long, but again they ignored me and other employees and monopolized the main elevator as they didnt have to deal with my customers-one of who was in a wheelchair-who also needed to get to their space. And along those lines it took them a lot longer to clear out a 10x20 than other crews Ive seen, probably trying not to break anything. Im sure Ill get yelled at by the owner, but with as much as Ive already been yelled at because of his crew Im already used to it.

We hired Road Scholars to provide us with the packing of items only, as I am well past the time in my life that Im willing -- or able -- to do it myself. We are having extensive construction work done in our 2-story condo and needed to protect artwork and breakable items (like 100 year-old leaded glass) from potential construction damage, and shield clothing from gypsum dust. The numerous items are simply packed up in boxes and stacked in safer areas of the condo -- no truck moving involved.Even though this was not a typical move, the two packers did a great job. Despite a flat tire on the way to our place, they arrived within a half hour of the promised time, and their office called to warn us of the delay. They worked quickly and efficiently, handling our small, fragile items carefully and packing them with care. They were pleasant, courteous, and accommodating to our needs. A more than satisfactory job ... and they came in well under their estimate. A very professional outfit. I would not hesitate to use the company to move us to a different location ... not that such a move is very likely to happen in my lifetime!

My movers where great on time packed accordingly didnt break anything and was even done an hour earlier then scheduled... We where very pleased with the job will use them again and I would recommend this company to anyone who needs a job well done because they will take care of there customers....

Our moving crew (Jeremy, Ronald, Jamie, Sean, and Picasso) were awesome! They arrived on time, with a phone call while on their way to let us know when they would be arriving. They came in and got right to work, packing a house FULL of stuff. They moved us into our new home, and made it all look easy. My parents are elderly, and my father just cant do the things he used to. These great guys took a lot of the stress off our shoulders, and we truly appreciate all of their hard work. We will use them again, though, hopefully, not anytime soon. :)

I would personally like to single out Lamar for the above and beyond quality service he provided to our company with a move on Monday morning and especially with a move back to DTC the following night. Without going into all the details, Lamar demonstrated an understanding and compassion when we were faced with a tough situation, and really helped me in the clutch.I thought you should know that he and his teammates did a wonderful and efficient job with the two-day move. But it was Lamar who really stood out as someone who stepped up in a dire circumstance.

The team of movers was AMAZING! They worked so hard and they were extremely kind and professional! I would highly recommend them to anyone moving!

Patrick, Picasso and Bama did an awesome job! I actually had them move a shipment to a storage unit and another shipment to our new home. They worked their butts off and stayed totally focused and in good humor. And they worked FAST - No breaks except lunch, and they took that half hour off the total that was billed.I guess I got the A Team!!!!

We had a very positive experience with this company! When I called initially to get pricing, they had me give them a basic room-by-room inventory of what they would be packing / moving for us. I thought it would be a tedious process, but it went very quickly. From this, they were able to give me an estimate. They told me that anything I could do in advance to get things ready for the movers would save them time and therefore save us money. (We took apart bed frames, etc. and moved as much as possible to the main floor to save time making trips up and down the stairs. ) They will do as much or as little as you like. They genuinely seem happy to help you save money.On the day of the move, they showed up on time, worked quickly, neatly, and professionally, and practiced terrific teamwork. The movers had wonderful attitudes and made what could have been a very stressful day seamlessly easy.I have fairly high expectations, and I would definitely feel comfortable recommending this company to friends and family.Thank you Theo, John, and Luke!! You did a great job!**Update** We used this company again (May 2019) and had a slightly different experience. We had a different team, and had them move items into a POD instead of from home to home. While they still worked quickly and were both very nice guys, the lead was determined to do things his way and packed things we asked them not to, and neglected to pack things we had asked to be placed on the POD. We had also asked that all furniture be wrapped with their plastic wrap, but found that several items were packed unwrapped and arrived dirty from the POD. When we were unloading the POD, we found that they had stacked two couches on top of two recliners in order to fit everything in, and one recliner arrived broken. Unfortunately, items in the POD are not insured once they pack and leave. Overall, they are quick, and they will save your back! But I am much less impressed than I was the first time we used them.

I am a repeat customer and while the price went up slightly from last year, I will use them again for my next move. They did a phenomenal job, were friendly, and highly efficient. I was moved out of my old (1 bdrm) apartment and into my new apartment within 3 hours.

Ace and Smog were great! I have used one other company in Colorado for my moving needs. This time, this other company failed to return my call. So, I Googled and found Road Scholars movers. They packed my things neatly and carefully; nothing was broken or even scratched in the move. Both Ace and Smog were professional and worked diligently to get me moved in a reasonable about of time.
