This is a wonderful company. We purchased a Tempur-Pedic mattress and box spring. Next we purchased a headboard, but the company did not set it up because the delivery team had no supplies. I called Illini Mattress and they came out to see how they could help - AND then returned to set it up for us - all at no charge! I am so grateful and impressed with their customer service and professional work. Thank you!

Weve needed a new mattress for a few years. After making several stops at the big name stores like Denver Mattress, Mattress Firm etc. we landed at Illini Mattress. We were greeted promptly within seconds. Our salesman was Ed. This guy knows his business. His scientific approach to what we needed was awesome. He has a wealth of experience. We were treated with respect, not talked down to and made to feel very welcomed. He was and continues to be a complete delight to deal with. My wife and I felt like they were there to help us - it wasnt about making a sale. We purchased our new mattress and platform and had it delivered and setup for us. That was another great experience. The two young men that handled the delivery did a great job. This is one of the best experiences Ive ever had making ANY purchase. Its taken me a little while to get used to the new mattress and Ive made a call or two to talk to Ed looking for suggestions and received the same level of customer service. I could not be any happier. The best experience buy a long shot for my sleeping needs. Im a customer for life. I will not even entertain looking or purchasing anywhere else.

A local company that can deliver, set up, and haul away in just a few days? Yeah, ill take that over any other company. I cant say enough about this business. We searched at 3 different mattress stores and found the best mattress at the best price at Illini Mattress. After sleeping on it a few weeks, we realized we needed something with more support due to some back issues. They were happy to help us select something more suitable and let us make an exchange. Excellent, knowledgeable customer service and great quality of products.

Cole was extremely helpful and respectful in helping me pick out a mattress that worked for me and my budget. He made me feel completely comfortable purchasing from them, and he gave me information to make an informed decision and absolutely did not try to upsell me on anything.I ended up getting a topper that feels amazing. Havent slept on it yet, but I am very confident it will do the trick to solve my back tightness. It seems to be high quality, got it for $200.It is annoying that in order for a 30 day trial to be valid for toppers, you need to purchase a $40 protector, but it is apparently a manufacturer requirement and Illini Mattress doesnt have a say.Highly recommend this place if you want to buy from an honest shop.[UPDATE] Topper is excellent to sleep on after a couple weeks of use. Back pain is virtually gone, topper is extremely comfortable. Only issue is it is now much more difficult to get out of bed :p

I have never had anyone willing to spend so much time with us, and ran way past closing time. Extremely knowledgeable, personable, friendly. Ed is truly a kind and caring person. Who knew you could be this excited about buying a mattress? I stopped by after visiting almost every other mattress company in the area. And this was, far and away, the very best. The owner spent his time going over what type of mattress I wanted, explaining what to look for and why. He was giving me all the information I needed to make an informed decision and was not at all pushy or overbearing. It was wonderful! I really feel like I bought the best mattress I could. Not only was it comfortable for me and the way I sleep, I know (from having visited a handful of other stores) that the prices are much more reasonable. I have never been so impressed with a company before. When I need a new mattress, I know exactly where Ill be going.

I cant say better things about this mattress company. They were friendly, helpful, already to work with, and not pushy at all. We ended up not getting a mattress with them because they nor anyone else in town carried it, but we wish we could have gotten something with them. They seemed very honest and trustworthy. They would score very highly under the better business bureau!

Seriously one of the greatest local businesses to support!I felt welcomed and informed when I went in to inquire about purchasing a mattress, which I had never done before. I never felt like I was being sold something! I was just being given a bunch of information about beds and sleep patterns. I enjoyed speaking with Ed, the owner, and working with his daughter, Kristin. They were both helpful and supportive with what my needs were at that time.Also, they donate mattresses to Courage Connections (formerly The Center for Women in Transitions). Anyone can purchase a twin or double from the Connections store in Urbana and all the money goes to the organization...plus when women graduate from the program, Illini Mattress donates mattresses to her and her children.I am inspired by the humanity in Ed and his company and I am grateful that I found them for purchasing my first new mattress.Thanks!

Great service and humble atmosphere. They can be really cool and easygoing with you during the purchase. I bought a bed and frame around a year ago and everything was very smoth during the purchase and they can be very nice if you are having a problem with the purchase as long as you dont try to take advantage. For example I purchased a pillow but it was not confortable at all I was able to switch it up around three time until I was confortable they where really nice about it.

Our first trip to their store was years ago after having a very bad experience at another mattress store in Urbana. Illini Mattress is a wonderful store, they have very good quality mattresses, box springs and accessories, and they stand behind their products. They take the time to talk with you and determine what type of mattress will fit your needs, as well as your budget. We have no intention of going anywhere else. Stop in and see Ed and his other knowledgeable staff. You’ll be glad you did!

I was THAT client, the one unsatisfied after not one but two different mattress deliveries. But I could not have asked for more patient sellers in Ed and Kristin, who were committed to getting me into a bed that would provide me years of comfort during sleep. They never made me feel a bother about my complaints, either, and I appreciate that level of service.

When we got to Illini Mattress Company, Ed, the owner, assisted us. He really took his time, was patient, and taught us a lot about buying a mattress. We purchased a tempur-flex prima from illini mattress, but after sleeping on it for 2 months we felt it was too firm for us. We went back and exchanged it for the tempur-legacy. Both times we received excellent service. The people here are wonderful, very helpful and laid back (not pushy). Delivery was timely and efficient. All around great service.
