Owner is a great guy. I was on my way to work and my car had something fall off underneath my car. My sway broke and one side was hanging off. Since this place is a few hundred feet away from my job, I took it here. He checked out my car and told me what was wrong with my suspension and removed the broken part for free. Of course I have to get work done to my car and still pay for parts and labor to get it fixed. But for him to take time off his busy day to inspect and put in some labor for free is a great business owner and really shows he cares about his customers. I will be coming back for any future repairs needed to my car. Thanks again Kevin.
Best auto repair shop around ive known the owner for 10 to 15 years great placr
On any given Monday between 11:30am - 12:15pm is your best shot to go to this fine establishment. Get in early and get your work order written up sign the dotted line as your consent and approval for the work to be done. Now the best part; the time specied slightly above is usually the lunch time for most, hungry, angry and rude demeanor for most and thats when it gets a lot better or a lot worse; do the timing right and you walk into the warm smell of fresh made Papa Johns Supreme pizza, else you are more irritated because you missed the timing and only smell the stale pizza box. I have thus far been fortunate enough and even today enjoyed a hot slice of the pie with the crew and an encore from a short (have to really look for the blond hair) guy, lol 🤣🤣 Service Techniques in a nutshell.
In the automotive repair business theres service techniques, and everybody else. And nobody else even comes close in comparison to service techniques. For many years now my entire family has used service techniques for our Auto repair needs. And we cannot say enough good about everyone there. This place is phenomenal!
This shop was recommended to me many years ago by a trusted friend and Ive been bringing them old and new foreign and domestic cars, trucks, vans, etc. for just about every kind of thing imaginable (AC, alignments, brakes, LOF changes, steering pumps/boxes, suspensions, fuel pumps, mysterious electrical gremlins, full meal deal engine work, etc.) for more than a decade. I even have a part on the wall now and thats very cool (for me). Some where big jobs but most werent and Kevin, Brian, and their team do great work and they dont try and scare you into doing more than needed. My son, daughters, wife, etc. all go in and we are all treated the same. They take pride in keeping vehicles running and serving their customers. Many jobs have been done at lower than expected costs since they dont sell you parts you dont need and their labor rates are more than fair. A couple of times they cleaned or tighten thing up and sent me down the road with a see you later. I keep my vehicle forever and several of my vehicles have well over 200K and they keep them moving in a reliable fashion. They will tell you what you need to fix now, what needs to be done sooner than later, and what we need to watch. I have tried other places nearer to my current home and work but stopped even trying to find a place that is as fair an honest as Service Techniques. I will make the extra drive for the peace of mind they give me and my family.
My car has been no stranger to the little issues that pop up now and again on an 18 year old vehicle with over 150k miles. First went to Service Techniques because their shop is close to my work. Their professionalism, quality of work, and great prices are why I won’t ever go anywhere else! Reasonable turn around time on repairs, and no problems getting a loaner if available and needed. If you think a good mechanic that you can trust is hard to find, well here’s one!
Kevin and the guys are AMAZING! We bring all if our cars to Service Techniques and will never go anywhere else! They always diagnose the issue and fix it in a timely manner and are always fair and honest! I’ve been taken advantage of before but I completely trust these guys. My 88 yr old mother stopped bringing her car to the Mercedes Dealership and only lets Service Techniques work on her car! ❤️❤️❤️
The Jeep dealership replaced my rear rotors but after a few months, they started to rust. I had no idea Mopar rotors come stock painted with high-heat paint. The dealership did not inform me this would happen. When I explained that I wanted it fixed they refused and said no one else cares about it and the rust doesnt hurt the rotors. They made me feel petty and high maintenance when all I wanted was the best for my vehicle.I was so fortunate to have found Service Techniques shortly after this incident. After several wonderful visits here, I explained the rusty rotor story to Kevin. Without question or hesitation, he offered to take care of the issue during my next service. They were so happy to help and made me feel so much better about the situation. Now every time I walk up to my Jeep I smile looking at those beautiful rear rotors!
My 2011 Chevy Cruze is dying while Im driving it. A good friend recommended Service Techniques. They had my car for almost 3 weeks and did absolutely NOTHING. No exams, no claims to my warranty company, NOTHING. We spoke with Brian who claims it was Kevins fault that the car never got looked at. Claims Kevin wouldnt let him bring the car into the shop. Lets keep in mind that Kevin owns this business. Service Techniques never called with any updates and kept giving me BS reasons for it not getting fixed when I called. I went in to go get my car to take it elsewhere and Brian was at the counter. I simply asked for an explanation as to why my car never got looked at and he said (very rudely) Kevin. Kevins the reason it didnt get done. Dont come at me when its Kevins fault. I asked to speak with Kevin and I was informed that he was not there. I asked for Kevins phone number and he threw a business card at me with a general phone number. I asked when Kevin will be back and he said hes in and out, good luck. So in sort, DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLES TO SERVICE TECHNIQUES. Youll wait 3 weeks for absolutely nothing. Ill be taking my car, my money, and my business elsewhere.
Good shop. Kevin is a great guy & trustworthy.
If your in town I would only trust this shop. Meineke wanted to charge 600 to replace one bearing. 500 was labor charges. At service techniques he said remove the knuckle bring it in with the New bearing and it would be $40 to pull apart and re assemble. Will leave a nice 40$ tip for him as well. Wish I could leave more but Im poor as fudge.
Kevin is a fair and honest man take my cars there all the time.
They are absolutely the best in every way
Weve been taking our vehicals to Kevin Kinnard at Service Techniques for over 10 years. Kevin is a mechanical genius who can identify and solve your cars issues the first time without return visits. He has a good staff and Brian at the front desk is very personable. We trust Kevin and highly recommend Service Techniques!
They will not sell you on work you dont need. Not a corporate shop, they call it how they see it. Not for the easily offended.
Maybe hire someone smart enough not to flip someone off in traffic while driving a company car.
Best auto repair in town. Excellent workmanship, fair prices, honest and trustworthy staff. Highly recommended. I wont take my cars anyplace else.
Service Techniques is one of the best auto repair shop I have experienced. There is no doubt about its expertise, honesty, and kindness in auto repair services. I recommend Service Techniques without any hesitation for your auto repair services.
Honestly ive never liked doing business with these guys. just my two cents. Have to come back several times to get things fixed most times. Been dealin with it for years. Time to find a new mechanic. Your mileage may vary!
After my long time mechanic sold to another owner, I found myself looking for a new trustworthy mechanic to assume care of my 10 year old, yet multiplying and functioning as a repair resource for my SUV, andstrongly referred me to Kevin, the owner, at Service Technicians in Chandler. I called, scheduled a check up for my car, and am so glad I did. Kevin, the owner, is so enthusiastic and passionate about cars and Brian at the front desk was highly welcoming and knowledgeable. Brian has worked there for years, and boasts Kevin and their organization as the best in the business - from knowledge, expertise, cost-efficiency, trust-worthy advice, and true customer care to unsurpassed knowledge and expertise in diagnostics and repair expertise. Anyone wants that level of trust from your mechanic, but especially as a female, its important to find a mechanic you feel comfortable trusting to diagnose your car and execute on what repairs are truly necessary. To me its like choosing a Doctor for your car. I want someone who will take time to know my vehicle inside and out, its quirks and what truly needs to be addressed/repaired for long-term functionality and most of all, safety. This is exactly what you will find with Kevin and his team at Service Technicians in Chandler. They will review your car, and make recommendations as to whats immediately necessary to get your car back up to running optimally. They are conveniently located off of Chandler Blvd just E of I-10 off of Roosevelt, so very easily accessible from all areas of the valley. I was thrilled with their expertise and quick diagnosis of my cars issue, the thorough overview of the immediate concern as well as identifying and outlining items in future that may need repair to allow time to budget and prepare for whats likely to arise down the road. Sort of like a list with must do, need to do, and may want to do planning - rather than selling me things that are not or more importantly not immediately necessary, and only focused on the whats absolutely needed items to get your car back up to safe and optimal functionality - what service! If you are looking for a new mechanic, save yourself the hassle and uncertainty and call to make your appointment with Kevin, Brian and team at Service Technicians...when you find a team like this, its easy to refer them to your family and friends. Call them today and I PROMISE, you will not regret it!
If you live in Arizona and need service on your vehicle - these guys are the BEST at Service Techniques! Kevin, Brian & the guys are so honest and trustworthy. They will treat you like family!
Kevin Kinnard provides the most honest, ethical, and quality auto repair service in the Phoenix area. He went above and beyond to help identify and fix our broken a/c system. It’s worth the drive where ever you live in the valley.
Have been going for 15 years, very honest and professional.
Ive had my vehicle here 3 times and every time theyve worked with me on costs, payments and given me a great deal. Theyve helped me have my vehicle towed there and had it fixed and out the door in 4 hours. Id never go anywhere else. Great prices. Honest deals. As a single woman, its nice to have a service shop where I feel secure and confident that Im getting a good deal. Other places have tried to sell me a $600 fluid flush but wouldnt tell me why my AC wasnt blowing. You get exactly what you pay for here. Ladies - if you want a deal from a good shop that works on all vehicles and wont rip you off - THIS IS THE PLACE. I always walk away feeling like I wasnt ripped off, they made money, I got a great deal.
This shop is excellent, they are very knowledgeable. Kevin drove my car and within 5 minutes told me what he thought was the problem, and he was right. So they fixed it. Very reasonable price as well!
Kevin, Brian and the rest of these guys are the best. Theyre honest, do outstanding work and charge a fair price. Outstanding and hard to find in this day and age.
Very honest and reasonable mechanics. Wont try to sell you anything you dont need.
This place is amazing. They give it to you straight no bull. Kevin is the best Ive ever seen. Years and years of experience.
I appreciated the thoroughness and honesty of this shop. They only fix what is wrong... do the work well and at a fair price!
This Place has honest mechanics. You always wonder if someone will take advantage off you when you take your car to get fixed (dealers for example). This place is not like that. They are upfront with you and dont pressure you to fix things that dont actually need fixing. Definitely recommend this place.
Took my car there for some sensor/electronics work, which was quoted at a good price. Work was done quickly and effectively. 4 months later, I needed some work done...I called them and Steve remembered me, and my truck, and got the work done at a great price. Owner:. Steve is awesome, factor that in his next review 😃.
I was referred to Kevin and Service Techniques over a decade ago when I worked just a few blocks from the shop. I was, as I still am, impressed with the honesty, fair pricing, and quality automotive service I received. Today, I live and work nearly 40 miles away from Service Techniques, but, whenever any of my vehicles has an issue, I take them to Kevin and his crew. They are all talented, knowledgeable car experts that take the time to clearly explain things in lay terms for the not-so-mechanically-inclined, such as I.
Great service! Kevin was courteous and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
Honest to a fault, will shot straight with you on what the problems are and get the work done at a fair price. Wont try and sell you service that isnt needed. Our family has been getting iur cars serviced here for more than 10 years.
These guys are the best! If you are looking for an honest mechanic this is the place. My family and I have been going here for over 20 years. It’s a shame I live in CA now. Kevin and his crew know what they’re doing and will get you back on the road as quickly as possible. These guys are busy with business because their that good at the right price!
Ive had a few of my vehicles here. They are quick, reliable, and reasonable. I highly recommend them
Best. Service. Ever.
Kevin gives a fair price, does good work, and doesn’t try to sell you on things you don’t need repaired.
The only car place I truly trust for anything beyond minor. They have always had our back. We still had a 20+yr old car - the interior door latches started breaking - Id brought the car in for something else and said and replace all the interior door handles - They could have done that and charged me - but they didnt - they called and told me they didnt think Id want to do it because the door handles were - I forget - but over $100 each for some weird reason. I thanked them and agreed to just do the drivers one (4-door). That is just ONE of many times they could have done what I said and didnt. More than once Ive come in saying that the dealership (in doing recall work) had said X, Y, and Z major things need to be done - and theyve sent me home - no charge - saying the car didnt need any of that.
I used kevins business for several years for routine maintenance for both of my familys cars. I found them to be cheaper than other big name shops, and did a better quality shop. Unlike most repair shops, theyre honest.
Techs are not the best in communication skills, but they get the job done right! Took my wifes car, with 200K+, in because it failed emissions, got it back the same day with them going the extra mile to get the emissions test done! Easy as could be, well worth the less than $50 they charged. Used them many times, and the prices are very fair, and the work is done well.
First took my car there and they were able to get it through emissions $200 when other garages said it would cost $1500. I was having intermittent transmissions problems with my newer 2012 van and although I told them I might not get it fixed there they kept it for a day and a half to diagnose the problem to be sure I knew what it was! Communication isnt theyre strong point but they are good, honest and about fixing your car!!!
I went for a pre-purchase inspection.. got an honest detailed no-BS appraisal of the car and a breakdown of possible repairs with quotes. I took out my credit-card at the end and he refused saying were happy to do inspections for free. These guys are awesome..
Good mechanics and very reasonable prices. First come, first served approach, which can be irritating at times (this is my only issue).
Kevin is awesome and his techs know what they are doing. They are very helpful. They tell you whether or not you need a certain service immediately or can wait and what to look for to know if it is getting bad, which is extremely helpful. Ive got a bad pinion seal on the rear differential of my truck and Kevin explained why some guys wont even try to replace it and immediately jump to a $1200 rebuild. Great guys and very helpful.A note about the shop, Service Techniques isnt like triple A with a spotless waiting lounge and techs fresh out of some votech. These guys are all seasoned mechanics. Even Kevin gets his hands dirty and the reception area is decorated with old car parts.
These guys fixed a small part to fix my car and didnt even charge me!Amazing!
I have been to service techniques many times. They are not always the least expensive however I trust them as far as their honesty goes and I also trust the quality of their work. Those two things are worth more than a few extra dollars. My friend actually did have lower expenses there than at the garage she used to go to... Bonus! The only problem you have is getting your car in early enough to get service, a lot of people use them because they know how good it is and sometimes its hard to get in!
I was referred to this business from a friend and I have used their services several times in the last few months. I have been very impressed with the integrity of this shop and the owner, Kevin. I had a problem with my vehicle, for which I had a bid of $850 from another shop, and $1200 from the dealership. These guys fixed it for $159, by not trying to charge me for a bunch of parts I didnt need. There are quite a few negative comments here, and in a way I can understand where they are coming from. This is not a corporate shop. Its a bunch of greasy-handed mechanics who are more concerned with fixing the car than political correctness. I can see how this might rub some people the wrong way. I am delighted to have found a shop that I can trust.
Worst place to go. Brand new vehicle getting inspection for seller. The old man that runs the shop gets in my vehicle hes holding the brake while revving the gas while Switching gears like what are u thinking youre checking. Besides trying to burn up a transmission. oh wait that was probably his intentions. Scammer stay away or pay ur choice.
Dont go to a mechanic trying to Wiesel your way into getting things done for free. This is a serious inquiry repair shop and they know what theyre doing! I trust them with any vehicles I own.
Always dependable and honest!!!
Honest. Wont do any work you dont need.
Honest, reliable, good servise
Professional and friendly management and employees.
A great place to have a transmission installed they do great work very fast and they are very expert people they do fine quality work at a reasonable price
Awesome group of guys. Honest and reasonable pricing. Not to mention diagnostics are free
Honest mechanics, with excellent knowledge of vehicles. They will go the extra mile for you & charge very reasonable prices.
Bunch of rude people. Behave like they are the only mechanic available in the whole universe. Dont respect customers valuable time. Use foual language. Doesnt deserve even one 🌟
Very knowledgeable service techs and wonderfully fair pricing. These guys are great!
Went in trying to get help and talked to Kevin. Extremely rude and ended up leaving. Went somewhere else and got the repair done for much cheaper.
Awesome guys!
Im from California and my car broke down next to there shop. Turns out that my transmission went out. So they said it would be over 6 grand. Well a couple Days went by mind u that Im stranded, no were to go. Then service techniques called me and said they got my insurance from my car and there waiting on an expector, he also went on to say that I needed a new axal for the car and started off naming all these issues that supposedly had. I new he was lieing because I just got everything fixed not even a month ago. This guy is a scam and looking to charge my insurance for everything he can. Its crazy how he treats people looking for a quick buck. Long story short I send my car to Aamco and they gave me a rental and fixed my car for under 4 grand they did such a good job. Aamco didnt have my insurance paper work because services techniques riped up my insurance paper work because they got mad that Aamco got the car. Service techniques come on guys be professional. You reap what you sow.
Scammers Worst place they try to cause damage to get you to come back for more money
Honest mechanics!
Awesome customer service! Kevin is the man
Great place
They suck at customer service!!!
I will never take my car to this place. Rude technicians, arrogant management, and try to up sell you on things you dont even need. Worst of all, they wont use any parts that arent supplied by them, because they cant mark them up 500%
Whoever Brian is hes rude on the phone and lost my and my family and friends business without me ever going in.
Trusted mechanics
Your service was excellent, as usual!
