Jay and the guys at Sunset did a great job on my truck. It needed a lot of work. The biggest issue was a check engine light. They didn’t give up and figured out the problem. Their work is top quality and they stand behind it with a two year warranty. I would recommend Sunset Auto for all of your vehicles needs. The technicians are very knowledgeable.

Sunset Auto has been a rockstar among Phx- East Valley car repair shops for decades! You can’t beat the customer service- they’ve found issues the dealership service department missed on my Highlander that we also eventually got the dealership to cover. They’ve taken me into the garage to show me a suspension issue. Jay especially takes extra time to explain and investigate certain questions or issues upon request. The guys are super friendly and will shoot straight with you even telling you when something doesn’t need work. They truly are advocates for the customer. Hard to find an honest shop that does high quality work these days.

My car got an overall checkup because I had not had it serviced for about 2 years because of the pandemic. I dont know all of the services that entailed. I trust Sunset. They tell me what needs to be done, and what can wait and give me referrals when needed.

My family has been going to Sunset Auto for all our automotive needs since the early 2000s. They are like family. Most recently, my A/C stopped blowing cold air in my Jeep. I took my car into get it serviced and they had it fixed within a day! I swear its blowing colder air than when I purchased the vehicle brand new

I highly recommend Sunset Auto! (Too long didnt read below my praise paragraph.) I initially called in to inquire about services to fix a coolant leak. They told me to bring my vehicle by and they could have a look. Upon bringing my car in much later that day and mentioning my problem, Jay, at the front desk had made a note from my call earlier and knew who I was and what I needed. I left my car, and Jay gave me a call back with a pricing estimate before any work was done. I picked up my vehicle and paid the bill that was 100% accurate to the quoted estimate. Since my initial visit, I have also taken a vehicle to Sunset for a pre-purchase inspection. The team was incredibly thorough in their inspection and had some excellent recommendations on buying and maintenance requirements for the vehicle post-purchase.TL;DR - go to these fine folks! Jack and his staff are always polite, reliable, honest and dependable. His prices are reasonable. I trust their word when it comes to vehicle repairs. On one occasion I was having a problem with my brake lights and rather than fix it and charge me, Jack told me to take it to the dealer because it should be under warranty, I did as he told me and the dealership fixed the car without cost. Sunset automotive was a pleasure to work with. My car needed new shocks and struts and they did the job right. Its always struggle to find a respectable mechanic that isnt just doing a quick fix for the money and up-charging. They took their time and did the job right the first time. Only con on a pros and cons list would be that it was a bit expensive. But in this case cost was reflective of the quality. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for! Its worth every penny to know that the job has been done right. I have already referred them to friends and will continue to use them for future service. I couldnt be more happy with the experience.

I took my car over a year ago to the dealership and they wanted to charge me $1500 for all my repairs. Then I remembered this dealership.. because I use to live in Chandler. I took the car there.... and they cut the price less then half. They said for all the repairs that the dealership quotes me.. It would cost $500. It was amazing. The car ran better then it ever has after we took it there! They were honest, upfront & now I only take my cars there.

If I could give them six stars I would. In addition to a cheap, fast oil change, they noticed my car was leaking brake fluid and fixed the leak and topped off the brake fluid free of charge.They also gave clear honest advice when I asked about some other minor issues with my car, rather than trying to upsell me or lie to make extra money. I trust them and they do solid work at a great price.

I had brought my car in to them before for a previous repair and had not had problems after that repair. This time, I brought it in for squeaky brakes. A few weeks later I was coming to a stop and i had no brakes. My car went about 50 ft before the brakes kicked it. Terrifying! I was lucky there was no one in front of me. I took it back in and they said there was air in the brake lines and they dont know how it got there. They told me they bled the lines. They did not charge me this time and told me they did it again and I should have no further problems. Not sure what to think. Could have had a very serious outcome.

Weve been taking our cars to Jack for several years. The work is always done right the first time and at a reasonable price. The last time we took our Rav4 to the dealer for an oil change special, they presented us with a whole list of needed repairs. We made an appointment and took the list into Jack. After giving the car a good going over, only one of the repairs was needed which was done at about 1/2 the price of the dealer quote. Would highly recommend Sunset Automotive.

I had just arrived in Arizona from Florida and my truck started acting up. This being my first day in Arizona, I didnt know anyone nor knew of any reputable auto service companies. Came into Sunset Automotive after a terrible experience at a Meineke, where I was treated unprofessionally, given a $400 bill and a go-around by customer service. Wary of similar poor garages, I asked around for recommendations, and Sunset came highly recommended. It deserves this reputation. I was treated politely and with the utmost courtesy and respect. I was concerned about a noise my car was making, and figured it would be an expensive fix, but they discussed the issue with me, told me what to watch out for, and that nothing needed to be done as of yet. Their price for an oil change was fair and I left confident that my car had been treated well, unlike the last time. I appreciated their honesty and style of business, and will definitely be back for any future needs.

THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! They charged us $100 just to do a diagnostic and didnt use that towards the work they did to the car. It was a separate fee. Never going back.thorough** We were charged $550 when the expensive parts were only $150 MAX. Not coming back.
