Kelsey (cashier) was amazing. Super helpful, took time to not only explain things but to make sure I felt like a priority, which is something thats expected when youre spending over $200 on a handful of products. Girl knows her products and has great customer service skills and that screams promotion to me.Stevie far from that. After checking out, Kelsey recommend a product and asked for someone to grab me a sample (idk they were even doing them anymore). 3 girls grabbed there items to go home (WOW, this busy and leaving your team mates swamped?!). Kelsey specifically then turned and asked Stevie directly to grab those samples for me, she said yes then walked to the girls who checked out AFTER me asking them if they needed help or were wanting a sample of any items. If she was listening to Kelsey she would have known the product I was looking for, where I was located(she even kindly pointed my way, by the product I was recommended a sample for), and that I was patiently waiting for a while by the 3rd time she asked her specifically.Being confused and irritated, after waiting 10 minutes, I walked up to Stevie and asked if she was still getting the samples or...? She told me she was busy with her customers and if she had time before they closed shed get to me. WOW. Literally 1 sample, would have taken maybe 3 minutes tops. But now costed a customer.Ill stick to online or San Tan location. My time is far to valuable to just wait especially without a guarantee
Their makeup is always in stock. They find the right color for you in however many brands you want to try. Elizabeth was great & so patient with me.
I walked out without buying anything. They were sold out of black eyeliner in every brand. I prefer ulta.
The shelves need to be restocked. A lot of empty spaces. But, if you order from the website, it takes forever for the shipping company to deliver your order. I used to really like to shop here.
The associates are very friendly and knowledgeable.
The ladies there are so sweet and friendly. I appreciate their recommendations
Its the bomb diggity Miss Julia. the young lady that helped me find everythingeverything!! that I needed to knock these men off their feet!! She was so professional and so sweet :) thank you Julia
Always customer service centered. Very knowledgeable (and patient) staff. Great prevention practices, as well.
Happy Wife Happy Life....÷)
Employees wore masks and had great customer service! I was approached and helped to find my makeup shade!
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Came here with my girlfriend for some paint and primer. The staff was very professional and helpful. The store was very clean and my girlfriend left happy.
Nice size location, very friendly staff. Found everything I needed, and then some! Lol!
My son and daughter walked into Sephora looking for Christmas gifts, they had an idea of what they wanted but they werent familiar with the store itself. They wondered around the entire store while being watched by the staff, who was too busy standing around doing nothing, but never once got greeted nor asked if they needed help. Was it because they were two Mexican looking little kids? Was it because the people who work there dont like thier jobs? Was it an off day for them? Who knows, and who cares. It was very disappointing as a mother to hear they got treated so poorly. Well take our business somewhere else from now on.
Meh. Customer service has gone waaaaaaay down. Im glad I found the other store that has what I need
Love Love Love Sephora, but I hate being asked and followed if I need help. I was asked 7 times if I needed anything 3 times by the same woman. Also being eyeballed. I understand theft happens but geez. It made it so uncomfortable to shop, I left without purchasing anything. Easy up a bit.
I like this location. They are very busy, but they keep a large inventory so they always have whatever treatment, color or shade Im looking for!
My fav place for cosmetics n skin cares... love their morrocon oil products
I was in and out of the store quickly with my wife. Im not sure how anyone finds exactly what theyre looking for in there, but whatever. The checkout line moved quick and we were out of there in no time.
Amazing experience, very helpful and clean especially with extra precautions during this time. Frankie and everyone working there was so helpful and friendly 😊
No one helped me, no greeting into the store, looking for someone to help and the workers were pretty much shopping for themselves. Seeing one girl trying fragrances and other putting lipstick on. Fashion Square is SO MUCH better. The shop is bigger than this one and yet Fashion Square workers help alot more.
Employees were very nice. The lady who helped me matched my skin tone on the first try. Another talked to my little sister for a solid half hour about acne products. I also hear theyre paying their employees during quarantine, so I made the right choice in buying from them.
I love Sephora so much and have always had a wonderful experience until I started shopping at the Chandler Fashion Mall location. The employees there make you feel like you are wasting their time and as if they had better things to do. Im a frequent shopper and have never been asked if I needed help I always had to find someone to help me.Until recently I met an amazing artist there by the name Cecelia! She makes me feel valued and you know she truly cares about helping others and she loves what she does. I went in a few weeks ago to get color matched and she took the time to listen to what exactly I needed and wanted. She is intelligent and knows what she is talking about! She introduced me to wonderful new products that I love so much.Just today I went back and crossed my fingers she was working and she was! She helped my cousin get new products as well and answered all of our questions and didnt make us feel rushed. Cecelia restored my faith in Sephora! Her hard work, dedication, passion, and kindness should be valued. She alone is worth all five stars!
Marry Kelly is amazing and an asset to your company! She always has a great disposition and makes you look great! Love the store and the selections.
Girl got it bad for accessories
Sephora is my go to beauty store. Everyone is always helpful even though sometimes its poppin in there so they are busy. Either way, I love it with or without the help!
Girls and guys are really nice and helpful in this location. The only negative I have to say is that Sephora in JCPENNEY doesnt take returns from online purchases. And that is such a pain for me since I order something every month.
I dont use cosmetics but my wife likes it
Promise we didnt steal anything but I did see multiple nice looking Mom Types Pursing Samples Come on Ladies
This location is terrible. Being greeted at the door is supposed to feel good. It felt rushed and forced. Like the girl could care less that I was there. I got put on the list for a color match and told it would only be a few minutes, another lady did after me as well and she was helped first. I asked why and the girl couldnt give me a reason. Later when I finally got helped they were forcing products down my throat. No one was nice and once I told the lady no thank you she just walked away from me. I continued to walk around and no one asked if I needed help. When I walked towards the employees they walked a different direction. I felt like no one wanted any part of the customers. I thought they would be friendly but I was wrong. I didnt even make my purchase because of the way I was treated. When walking out empty handed I heard the girl who helped me with my color match get on her headset and complain about it. I will no longer be returning to this location at all. DONT SHOP AT THIS LOCATION!
I had a good experience - I didn’t get her name but one of the staff members found the perfect foundation shade for me on the first try! They seem to be attentive and proactive, I cannot say the same about other Sephora locations.
Such a magical place for makeup lovers alike! You can swatch and try almost all of the products. The staff is so friendly and can answer any questions you might have and even demonstrate how to use products.
Worst sephora ever. First I walked in and none of the employees said hello just looked at me. Never was asked if I needed help and I was in there for a good 20 minutes. Unfortunately I did find what I needed and had to get it. Didnt want to drive to another location. The girl at the register with purple/pink hair was another thing. She didnt say hello and she kept trying to see what the other employees were doing. Very disappointed on the customer service at this place. Mean people make a big impact on where you shop. I definitely wont be returning and Ill make sure to let my friends know about the service.
Its cute how the sales people think they have an eye for money. Oh, and how they think flaunting the sales info theyve been fed makes them intelligent. The passive aggressive smugness is strong with this location. Other locations, I have experienced superior service with Sephora personnel, and have spent more. Because of the lack of service at this location, Ive switched to Korean beauty suppliers for the majority of my skincare regime; you get amazing perks for spending and these independently owned places seem to actually want your business. Wow! Much better than dealing with a minimum wage buffoon. You can also use their amazing app, something Ive refrained from doing because I want my community to thrive. Ha, screw me right? Save your money for the farmers market ;)
I came to this location to buy makeup for my wedding. I expected to sit down and have a makeup artist give me the best suggestions and advise. Instead my friend and I were followed all around the store by some blonde lady instead of helping us she just made sure we weren’t stealing. I finally asked someone for help and they basically said ummm you could try Dior or Laura Geller not showing me the product or helping in any way. I ended up picking out all my stuff on my own. I was ready to go ham in the store and spend some $$ but I left disappointed won’t be coming back.
Full disclosure, I love Sephora. Today I was very impressed when I walked in and was greeted by Kalen (sp?) who spent loads of time with me helping me find the perfect foundation for my needs in the perfect shade. She sent me home with a sample so I could try it before I buy it (which I sincerely appreciated!) and lots of tips and tricks for my skincare needs. I will absolutely be back. Thank you so much for taking care of me!
No one greeted or even acknowledged me when I walked in. Received no help for over 30 mins. When I did it was someone who wasnt even in our section he was super nice and friendly his name is Danny. If you ever need assistance I would go to him. Other than that theres plenty other makeup stores I would rather go to.
Always helpful and they have so many amazing products, here to buy just one thing !!
Staff treats everyone like a criminal. You guys can do your jobs without making people feel unwelcome. Also watch your tone and body language when interacting with people. Just because youre in a high-end area doesnt mean you should only be nice to people who look like theyre made of money. You would get better reviews if you gave better service!
Great help, that really went above and beyond. I do like this location over the location in San Tan village. I hate malls shopping but Ill come to Chandler mall just for the Sephora here.
Came in today (06.12.18) with my sister for her to get a makeover for a show and meanwhile buy some makeup for myself. Both people were busy at the time, no big deal. I had her added to the list and was told that there would be about a 5 min wait. Over 15 mins later, we were still waiting. At the 20 min mark, my sister finally got seen to. We were there for a long time and I was rather disappointed in the staff. The guy who did her makeover (Alex) did an absolutely amazing job, so props to him. It was done to perfection. He also did it quite quickly too.Meanwhile, the other lady (Cece) was s.t.i.l.l. helping this one lady with her foundation when we left from before we came in.
Always so helpful!
So I decided today that I will never come back to Sephora for my makeup needs. I came in today hoping to get help with picking a new foundation and none of the staff helped me. One employee walked right past me and helped the older lady behind me. This is a reoccurring thing that happens to me every time I come into this store! Maybe it’s because I don’t wear a lot of makeup or maybe it’s because I have two curious kids but either way I always feel bad when I walk into this store. I’ll be buying my makeup elsewhere from now on and maybe the managers should teach their staff a little more on customer service.
Everything is AWFUL about this place. From the moment you enter, no one greets you nor asks if you need any help while shopping. I tried asking for help but the lady with awful attitude starts helping me find my foundation shade. She kept wandering off trying to see if she could help anyone else and stray away from me which was VERY disrespectful. You need better employees who care about their job and do it correctly.
I should have known better than to come to thus location as Ive had issues in the past.Today, Shauna helped me process a return. During my transaction, Elizabeth relieved Shauna and took over to help with my 2nd question: “My Fenty Beauty foundation pump broke and I’m losing product. Can you help?” Since I bought the foundation a while ago, it is not valid for a return/refund. Which is totally ok! However, I then asked Elizabeth if I were to bring it in, could someone help me fix it? She proceeds to give me the rudest look and basically dismissed me from the counter, which was for sure rude and very unhelpful. Completely unanswered my question. All I was asking was for help, the attitude was unwarranted. Never coming back to the Chandler Sephora...at least the Scottsdale location knows how to treat their customers
Great customer service
Very open minded & friendly, welcoming people / employees. Plus they grant and honor which is the best about them a sample or 2 of your choice.
This is another candy store for makeup lovers out there. Went to Sephora for the first time and fell in love instantly.. would of naturally been overwhelmed but thankfully Kim the beautician consultant was so helpful. If youre trying yup find a great makeup store the Chandler Mall location is awesome.
This store sells expired skin care, Every skin product I’ve bought breaks me out and to make sure it wasn’t my skin, I had family and friends try it of all ages and it does the same to them. My grandma who doesn’t break out or get redness or bumps tried each product at different times and it broke her out, red bumps, acne like a teenager.
Wide range of cosmetics, but my sister got a makeover and the clerk painted in her eyebrows well above her natural brows, giving her a comical surprised look, and when my sister spoke up she was told that the eyebrows were in the correct place - despite the fact you could SEE where the actual brow hair was
My wife really likes this place. Shes a cosmetologist and says they have lots of products that are better than much of the very expensive stuff shes used both personally and professionally. I trust her judgement.
Taylor is phenomenal. I was in, and paid for, in under 10 minutes during rush hour on a Friday Night. Great saleswoman, great product, lightning service.
Staff helped me find my new favorite concealer: Make Up For Ever
I have never had a great experience at Sephora. I’ve never been greeted or helped prior to my visit today at other locations. I was dreading going to the Chandler location after reading the reviews, but I surprisingly had quite the opposite experience. I was greeted, helped, and everyone including the cashier was extremely friendly. So thank you to all working today for my first good experience at Sephora!
Very friendly and helpful staff especially Destini.
I came here this weekend and wanted a new liquid foundation but had absolutely no idea where to even start. Julie at this location realllly helped me figure out what I wanted and needed based upon my skin. Thank you!!
As far as products Id rate this store a 5 star. The cashier that rang up my item was very rude, no greeting, literally just rang up my item and slammed my receipt in the bag. Her name was Raquel. I went a little before 5 today May 18, 2019. I understand people have bad days but taking it out at work is not ok if that was even the case. I would rate zero stars if this were based off customer service alone but that wouldnt be fair to the other nice employees that tried to be helpful while shopping around. This should not be acceptable for a Sephora or any store at that.
Came to this location for the first time and felt unwelcome. Only one woman seemed to be helping others. They need to do a better job at training employees at this location.
Pushy Macys fragrance ladies drove me look for the cologne I wanted and landed in Sephora. The girl was really nice and recommended a few. Ill come back here instead.
Ive been to a lot of Sephora locations all over and unfortunately living in SoCal hasnt helped me get used to the smaller locations here in Arizona. This store is smaller and doesnt have the huge variety brand wise that a lot of the larger stores do. Im also finding that besides missing out on a lot of the brands and getting to try new things all the time, Im missing all of the associates that know every single product inside and out and can easily pinpoint the perfect product based on what you need to do. (Makeup, fragrance, or skincare) Most larger Sephora stores have tons of associates on the floor so they can give you really personalized help if you need or want it. (Which is really cool for people like me who are not makeup geniuses.)The associates Ive spoken to at this location are friendly, but most of the time, all Ive heard is, Sorry, we dont carry that brand or product here. . I kind of get that I have to shop online for most things here in Arizona, but get tired of returning stuff all the time because the color is weird or the perfume is hard to blind buy. Im kind of ready to give up on the online experience and just stick with the old stand-bys I know work for me...On a more upbeat note, there is a lot of easy parking at this location, which is really nice!
Worst experience at a Sephora ever, I will continue to go to the San Tan one in Gilbert instead. If I could give them zero stars, I would. I was never asked if I needed help even though I was in there for about 30 minutes walking around, and they werent busy. Many of the employees were just standing around. The girl at the register was nice, but she was the only one.
Danny was very knowledgeable about the skin creams he recommended ! He listened to my concerns and was able to help me complete my skin regimen.
So I work at a Sephora at another location but I came to this one for a specific product. Soon as I walk in I was greeted with friendly staff except! This older lady she was short and had dark short hair. She was extremely rude and she came up to me asking if I needed a specific product, I said no I know what I want. As I’m shopping she’s following me around the whole store. Every time I looked up she was staring at me frowning. Finally I couldn’t take it anymore and I let her know I work at Sephora as well And her whole mood changed. I felt very unwelcomed and was shocked how they treat their paying customers.
Didnt buy anything but this is the largest Sephora Ive ever been in. And multiple employees asked us if we needed help, so theyre attentive and helpful. Very clean IMO as well
Very horrible experience if I could give them no stars I would i do not know how the management for this location has not done anything about this. I went inside the store nobody acknowledge me or greet me I finally asked someone if I could get my skin tone matched and a girl send me to the beauty bar spot. When I walked over there nobody asked me if I needed help I finally asked one of the girls if I needed to be on the list to get my skin matched and she said yes. She added me to the list so I walked around and picked up a few things I needed then I walked back towards the beauty bar several of times. For about 15 minutes I noticed 3 associates just standing around talking to each other and one was fixing her makeup no one helping anybody. Never have I experience such a bad customer service. I ended up leaving my items and not getting my skin matched. I realized that if I was going to spend my money I would do it at a sephora where I can be acknowledge.... so sad that sephora hires such horrible employees....😔
There were many employees just sitting there staring aimlessly. When I finally found one that would talk to me I asked about contour pallets and which ones he preferred. His response was uh well were all sold out. Thats it. No recommendations. No we restock on this date No lets see what colors would be good and check online. Nothing just uh well were sold out. SO RUDE. Also, there are so many brands I highly doubt there are NO contour anything in the store. I am a rouge member but wont be returning to this store. Love Sephora, just HATE this store.
Taylor was fantastic. She went out of her way to help me. She really knew what she was talking about.
Friendly associates on sales floor. Cashiers could use pointers from them on friendliness.
Won’t come to this location again (Chandler Fashion). A few times I’ve been over charged at the register. If your not paying attention they’ll ring up your products multiple times. The same thing happen at different registers with different associates.
I hope this diversity training includes treating customers of a certain age or weight properly. Sephora stores are notorious for treating people poorly
Im such a Sephora addict now. Im now into skincare and let me tell you they have soooooooo many options to choose from and I like the selection of clean products (vegan, no silicones, parabens and such)for the face.
I’ve never really liked Sephora anyways, overpriced items but I would still shop on occasion. But let me tell you this location sucks. They have terrible customer service, when I walked in the only person on the floor was the cashier. Then when someone finally came out, they skipped over us and went to help another customer. While we were looking for foundation shades an employee would just walk right in front of us without saying anything and barge her way to the foundation. Lol not a big deal just won’t be returning to buy anything. I see why Ulta is becoming to be the wave. And I don’t even write reviews
My lip gloss is Poppin!
Looks like my review a year ago was spot on.... Sephora is a bunch of discriminating bunch of people sensitivity training.....yeah you need a lot of that SMH
Staff is always nice and helpful to me. It should be noted that sense this is a smaller location, the selection is not as large as other locations.
Omg. I just left this location and hands down the worst experience ever at sephora. Are you people serious? Acting all high end and snooty yet when asking for a sample at check-out the girl does the nastiest thing: makes up the tiniest of sample straight out of the jar that has been sitting on the shelf and hundreds of people dipped their fingers in. I am so shocked by the lack of hygiene, you all need to take a course and get off your high horse IMMEDIATELY. AVOID!!!!
I love shopping here. My go to place for my skin care needs. The lady with British accent is rude, pushy, rushes you and still dont know why she works in the skin care department with such bad skin!
Disappointing customer service experience! Stood in the store for 15 minutes while several employees walked past me without acknowledging me or asking if I needed assistance. Walked around to find one but no one would even stop or acknowledge I was trying to ask for assistance. Store was busy and other customers were getting help. It was not extremely busy however so being ignored is unacceptable. I left and will not return. There are plenty of other stores I can purchase my makeup needs from. I would rate 0 stars if I could.
Very clean and cautious during covid19. Will be going back. Whether or not I have a choice :)
Employees were super helpful when I looked (and felt) lost about some of the choices, super happy with my purchases.
Unfriendly staff scattered everywhere in the store. Often has items out of stock or unavailable. I always regret coming into the store rather than ordering online due to the poor service which results in a bad experience. The cashier (older woman with short hair) didn’t even give me time to add more things from my accrued points as she was already giving me the total of my order. I even asked her what one of the products was as I was unsure if it could be used as a dry shampoo. She flatly replied, “It’s for texture.” No further information. Do not shop here.
Was here yesterday with a couple of my friends trying to find a birthday gift for a friend and the way were treated was so horrible. We had 3 of the workers there just staring at us like if we were stealing, they didnt ask us for help or anything just staring at us. We were so uncomfortable only one of my friends bough something because us others wanted to hurry and get out of there. The service here is always ridiculous never will I come here again with my friends.
I love Sephora and hold a VIB status because I feel the products there are worth the price. So why would I give this Sephora two stars? That is because despite me frequenting this store because of its close proximity, I have only been acknowledged once by staff . I was there at 7pm on Wednesday, May 9th and was looking for a mothers day gift. I needed help but no one was around. If I passed by a staff member, they would preoccupy themselves with sorting a shelf. The only acknowledgment I received was a goodbye as I walked out empty handed. Now you might be thinking, Why dont you use your words and ask for help? and I dont begrudge you for asking that. I started to notice that the representatives would catch people on their way in and be readily available so I started a bit of an experiment on when I would be helped. Was it because I was not swinging a Kate Spade on my shoulder? Could I have not been worth the time because I looked exhausted after a long work day? Who knows because I definitely couldnt talk to a person to ask. This store is great and clean if you know what youre getting but if you actually would like some advice and feel like they want to help you, I suggest going to the location off Gilbert and Germann or Ray and the I-10 inside of the respective JC Penneys. The staff there have always been very helpful; it is obvious the hiring managers look for quality staff.Update: Added a star, customer service seems to be improving!
This is the worst sephora i have been to, rude employees, they did not want to serve or shade match me despite it not been busy...i kept asking this lady Elizabeth for help and she was pretending to be busy however when white clients came me she ran to them and helped shade matching like my money was also black...i feel sooo bad so tomorrow, i will be returning everything i bought and buying it at a different sephora...
I usually have awful experiences at Sephoras but this time it was wonderful! May that be because it was not busy, or maybe this store is just different that other Sephoras, I dont know but the women were cheerful and more than willing to help. I wish I wouldve gotten their names because 3 of them went out of their way to help me.Not just that, the store was clean and had a great selection.I definitely will be returning and I do recommend this Sephora to all the ladies who feel intimidated by these kinds of stores.
I always find it difficult to get someone to help me at this location.
Love shopping here, very friendly and helpful
I came in here to share my experience but it seems that its just not me. several other people complained about the same thing. I dont know why the staff in these location are so freaking rude and careless. I mean really, what do you people think of yourselves? No one can expect a pleasant service there if they dont look like they are made of money; trust me. I went there to look for a foundation and I needed an expert opinion since I have an extremely oily skin. while I was walking around the store, looking like I needed help, one staff was just standing right there and she just looked at me, completely ignored and asked the other customer who obviously looked fancy, if she needed any help. so then when I finally went to her asking for help, her face was worth looking at. I asked her to color match me and she didnt even bother using the color matching thing to find the right shade for me. anyways, I am never going back to this shitty place. they made me feel like garbage, like I could not afford their product or something while the truth is I have been shopping at sephora for years as a beauty insider. get your act together please.
I went there this evening excited to purchase from Rihannas FENTY line. However the pregnant lady that was working tonight was very rude and kept following us around asif we were going to steal without asking once if I needed help or greeting me. My 7yr old daughter noticed and asked if we could just leave because the lady was making her feel uncomfortable as well. Never going there again!
Friendly employees
We have been to this location twice, and its the worst customer sevice we have ever experienced both times. We came in and to pull someone to ask a question and then we were added to a list that only had one person before us, and as customers were coming in they were being helped, but not us that were going throught the proper process. We watched the sales reps/makeup artists help more people that were NOT on the list and the person that seemed to be in charge of such list, did not let us know if someone was coming or not, we were just patiently waiting with no luck of someone helping us. Terrible service, and the rest of employees never asked if we needed help. We walked empty handed and dissapointed in customer service. We will not come back to Sephora at Chandler Mall.
My daughter loves to make up
Ive never had any problems here. My daughter did some window shopping
The staff here was so welcoming and attentive! Much better than the treatment I get at ulta!
Awesome service from all the ladies, the manager Rachel was awesome and very attentive.
I took my girlfriend here and the women just looked at her terribly. No one asked her if she needed anything. We live over in Phoenix and I have to say that well stick to going to arrowhead. The girl was so upset and wanted to leave because of how uncomfortable she was.
Employees follow you around as if you wanted to steal, there was other woman there but only where we being watch, worst Sephora experience will never in my life step foot at this store, and ps! Dont u dare ask for a sample! Believe me I have shared my experience
