We visited Hendrick Hyundai on 1/5/2015 looking for a new vehicle for my wife. After speaking with the salesperson about the different selections and options we decided to test drive the Sonata Eco model. The safety and styling were perfect for what we wanted in her car. The staff at Hendrick Hyundai explained our financing options then proceeded to manage all of the details in a very professional manner. My wife and I left to discuss the purchase privately over lunch. We returned the next day with her 2005 Hyundai Sonata and left that afternoon with her new 2015 Hyundai Sonata Eco. We recently purchased two Hyundai Tucsons from Hendrick Hyundai. Like everyone else I am sure, going to the car dealer is not my favorite thing to do. I expected the typical back and forth and an all day ordeal, but was surprised at the ease of the transaction. My wife purchased her vehicle, and I returned the next day to purchase mine. I traded my 2009 BMW, and was shocked that I was able to get a very fair trade in price, with no haggling at all! The used car manager, Casey, gave me a great price, and signed and printed this for me. Our salesman, Andrew Pennel did a good job. He kept in contact with me, via text/phone during the process, and was respectful to me and most importantly my wife. I have to say, the prices we were able to pay for the vehicles were MORE THAN FAIR, and this is the only time in my life I ever left a car dealer feeling 100% satisfied and did not have any buyers remorse. All in all, I was shocked at the ease of these deals, and would highly recommended this dealership to anyone interested in purchasing a Hyundai!!!! Buying the car is easy, getting proper service is another. If you want to buy a Hyundai they are good, their service dept on a scale of 1-10 doesnt even make it to a 1. Wait time is awful, quality of service is sub par and the advisers just dont care. It is shame on me that I kept going back as for 5x in a row their time expectations have always been off by more the 2x and I always had to go back to have same issues corrected. Go to Hyundai North as for some reason they get as these guys dont.

Palmer Hutson is a hell of a good guy and honest salesman. My fiancee and I were in a tough spot and absolutely needed a new vehicle. Palmer picked us up from our home, worked with our budget on financing and stayed late to close the deal. Ive worked in the automotive industry my whole career and honestly wasnt looking forward to dealing with a high pressure sales person, Palmer was anything but. It was like meeting an old friend to work out a mutually beneficial arrangement. We love our new Accent and will be going back to Hendrick in a few years when we decide to upgrade. 2 hr oil change with appointment. Thats right! I was given 3 choices of times during the same day, I selected the earliest, and upon arrival I was told it will be 2 hours. So... Nice bait and switch. Makes me wonder was choices I would get here if I had to do even any kind of minor work?

2010 Azera needed a new fog light. It was handled professionally, efficiently and completely solved for a half the cost of a nearby highly regarded competitor. I was sure that a dealer would cost more than an independent but this 50% less was a huge pleasant surprise.

I just bought a used 2014 Mazda CX-9 from these guys and I couldnt have felt more taken care of. I started my search months ago and just couldnt find a Mazda that had everything in the price I was looking for. I found this one online and called to see about scheduling a test drive. From the moment Katie answered the phone I was shown respect and kindness. Ben was the salesman assigned to me. He never pressured me or overwhelmed with special features or details. Instead he took time to tell me about himself and got to know me. He was so personal and friendly. When it came time to make a final decision the sales manager, Ryan allowed me to voice my concerns. He worked the price out to meet my budget. In the end I was torn because this particular Mazda didnt have an automatic lift gate. As a mom and business owner I just wasnt sure if I could do without a feature I had recently had with my former crossover. In the end Hendrick paid for me to have the lift gate installed and did it with a smile. This is a car that would have went quickly with or without my business and yet they took the time and went the extra mile for me and my family. 5 STARS for sure!

One star because there is nothing lower. My husband and I went there looking for an inexpensive used car to run family errands. Katie Maines was assigned to us, and instead of establishing any kind of personal contact to make us feel at ease, immediately started to ask my husband questions so she could fill out a required intake form. I have bought more than a dozen cars in my time and have never been asked for that kind of personal information before even being shown a car. My husband is from another country and English is his third language. Katie was quite condescending, occasionally smirking when he asked her to repeat a question. One of her supervisors came over at some point and reviewed the sheet with the same look of amusement and arrogance. He directed Katie to take us to a car that was nothing like we said we wanted and was more than $5000 over our stated budget. Instead of opening the door so we could check out the cars interior, Katie demanded that my husband hand over his drivers license for a test drive without even asking if we WANTED to test drive the car. At that point, we were both fed up with the rude and pushy sales behavior, asked for the intake sheet to be returned (no, you cant have it. Im required to keep it) and left.

I went into Hendrick Hyundai with a need, a desperate need, to find a car that could comfortably seat a car seat as my wife is eight months pregnant. Right from the start Mr. Hubbard greeted me at the door, offered us both complimentary food and drink, and we sat down and discussed which cars I would like to look at. The manager, Mr. Aysse came over and we were able to discuss financial options. I was accommodated at every step. Great customer service to say the least. The salesman, Mr. Hubbard, was very knowledgeable about the car and was able to answer any and all questions I asked during and before my test drive. Mr. Sprovero was able to get me qualified for an auto loan quickly enough and discussed the next evolution of the buying procedure with me. Something I appreciated very much as this was my first time buying a car. Needless to say I was taken care of thoroughly and the staff went above and beyond for me. Finally, Mr. Burnett and I went through the paperwork which he was able to clarify if I had questions. Overall, it was an excellent experience especially considering the circumstances. I would recommend this dealership to anyone interested in buying a Hyundai, or even a car in general.
Educate your finance manager, Blake! Not only was he going to give me a higher interest rate, he also didnt know if USAA was honored. Once I called USAA on my own and had them give me a rate he suddenly had more bank options for me. Unfortunately I didnt feel my best interest was a priority today and I would not buy from here again. The salesman Matthew and the GM were otherwise helpful in this purchase.
It only took 45 mins to get me into my new car. The only thing I had to do was return the next day to sign the financial paperwork and pick up my new vehicle. The manager worked with me to put me in the same monthly payment that I was already paying, without putting anything down. I thank you guys for that! Wanda was also a great salesman.

Ive had two quite different experiences at Hendrick Hyundai.First time I ever visited them, I was prepared to buy a car that day. I showed up in a friends car (old car) as my Dodge Ram was getting its oil changed across the street. I pulled into the parking lot and not a single person approached me. After walking around for 30 minutes, still no approach. I just left, went next door and purchased a vehicle.Second time was a little different experience. Shawn Couch was extremely helpful and we bought a car the same day. Even though my experiences were several years apart, it still keeps me from giving a 5 star rating.

I bought a 2011 Hyundai Elantra Touring today. I had put off this purchase for a few months because I dreaded going in and spending the time needed to complete the deal. The only reason I gave them two stars is because they did get me a decent interest rate on a used vehicle. Thats the one and only reason I would buy from them again.Double and triple check the various fees and certification warranty fees. They get sneaky with their wording. Also, did the prepaid oil change gimmick. Service department just plain ol sucks. Im tempted to cancel that and get a refund.

He was very friendly, knowledgable, and absolutely No Pressure! He answered all of my questions - and believe me - I had a lot of them. I never felt rushed or that I was wasting his time. I am not ready to purchase a car quite yet, but as soon as I am, I will definitely be going back to work with this fine young man and no one else!
This car dealership was deceptive, dishonest and unprofessional. I purchased a vehicle from them only because they assured me it had a 15 point inspection and checked by a certified mechanic. I explained to both the salesman and the Finance Manager I was in need of something reliable as I have children. I asked specifically of the roughness when accelerating and he swore it was because it was a V8 engine. I also questioned the noise under the hood and he also advised it was the V8 engine but if I had any issues to bring it back to him.They assured the vehicle was in great condition. They advised the brakes were new and as long as I handled the maintenance the vehicle would last. Unfortunately the brakes were grinding within two months and the check engine light on as well. I took it back. The first time I took them the printout of the codes for the check engine light, they advised when I picked up the truck the check engine light wasnt on. In reality, they just cut the light off. They did replace the brakes eventhough when I initially bought it, they advised it was new brakes installed. A couple days later the light came back on of course and I had to take it back. They advised my warranty had expired. I advised what the salesman and Manager told me. They gave me a loaner for about a week and a half called me and advised they were not repairing my vehicle and to bring the loaner back.
People have always been nice. I got my oil changed and discovered that the oil filter was not put on right. I had to take to another place to find the problem and pay for an additional change with two days.When I told the manager of the problem when I return a couple of moths later, no apology or even recognition that they may have been at fault.I didnt press it but not the way to do business. Gotta make you think, if you can not put an oil filter on right...
Get ready to be spammed for the next few years of your life. Even after you tell them, no exaggeration, in ten different telephone conversations to stop calling and put you on their do not call list. You will never be rid of these people, so I hope your purchase was worth being harassed every week for the next few years.
Hendrick Hyundai scammed me and will not even answer my emails. They misrepresented a car that we bought as a higher trim level than it actually is and therefore the price was more than it was really worth. They are completely dishonest. Worst car dealer I have ever dealt with. Take my advise and STAY AWAY!!!

Palmer was very laid back and low pressure and he helped us decide between the Sonata and Elantra. He is great at his job and communicated great through email/text. The week before I left for my honeymoon, I decided I wanted a Black Elantra with leather and sunroof. They had it waxed and waiting for me when I got back! 5 Star Rating! The service department treated us incredibly today. While visiting from out of town we ran over a curb. We didnt think any damage occurred, but werent positive and were about to drive 400 miles home. We pulled in unannounced and they put the car on the lift, showed us some scraping and confirmed nothing important was damaged. We were in & out in 30 minutes. The friendly gentleman that helped us could not have been better. Based on this visit, I would recommend this dealer to anyone!
Worst service Ive ever received in my life. They dont care about you. They care about making money. I like over 300 miles away and my car broke down. Its been 2 weeks and they havent fixed anything yet. I paid for a rental for two weeks and dont have anything. The 100,000 mile warranty is crap. They find loopholes to everything. After all of this money Ive spent I cant even afford to make my car payment. So much for a 2013 car guarantee. They suck. Run! Run! Run!

I had the WORST experience there and will tell anyone and everyone to NEVER go there. They were rude and gave us the run around and finally get my trade in back and it wont even start! so good luck to anyone who goes there.
I recently bought a used Grand Cherokee there and just after one month the a/c started blowing warm air. I took it back and they seemed concerned at first and ran 3 times the dye through the system and recharged it. I returned 9 days later and they checked it out and told me that one half the freon was gone and they couldnt fine the leak. Then they told me they were through with me and to take it to the Jeep dealer. Well good luck to anybody that buys a used car from these people, its going to be a crap shoot. Ive been screwed over well, well live and learn, Ill never go there again, off to the Jeep store I go to spend more money on something that should of been right from the start. I just wonder how well they check these used cars over.
The manager on the floor was very rude and disrespectful to me. I understand that they have to try and sell you a car, but when the buyer is saying no they dont want a specific car or trying for a better deal; that manager should not tell you that your families opinion on your car purchase doesnt have value and that you can leave and spend more time car searching else where! Also asked me if my family is my bank and if not, they should stay out of my decision to buy a car. I was 98% sold on leaving with a car, but not after that attitude!

Its been a month that I have been trying to cancel this maintenance contract and so far Ive just gotten voice mail. And people telling me theyll send me an email and nothing. I do not want to pay for something I wont use and now im getting really frustrated. I would not recommend it. There are other dealerships around the area.
I was told theyd order a part for me and when it had been 2 weeks I tried to call but the line was disconnected and when I went there the place was closed. How do you not tell people youre closing down when they are waiting for a service from you?

Absolute cluster in the Service Department. They tell you your appointment should take 2-4 hours.. ends up being the entire day ( Second time this has happened and I showed up 30 mins before my appointment to give them plenty of time) . This is the second time I have had my sonata serviced at Hendrick Hyuandai Charleston, never again. I asked to find out the price on an additional service to relieve a cosmetic problem and the technician went ahead and started working on the vehicle without my authorization. Needless to say I would not accept the charge since I did not authorize. The people working there are in the business of manipulating their customers and squeezing every dime out of your pocket. While I was there they also appraised my vehicle and gave me an estimate about $3,000 less than another dealership... Had to take 3 showers after just to wash the slime and grease off these guys... thank goodness I dont like rolling over and playing dead. Be advised, Be ready to defend yourself, and rest up for an entire day of negotiations and self defense.

I brought my 2014 Hyundai Elantra in for factory warrant maintenance. I didnt have a ride and I needed to be at work from 8:30am to 4:30pm. The service staff members Louis and Bill were especially helpful. Louis made sure that I would have a ride to and from work and he kept me updated on the status of my car and concerns. One of their drivers was stuck in traffic in the AM and Bill volunteer to give me a ride. He also told me to call in the afternoon and he would personally come and pick me up. I thought his actions very thoughtful! Thank you guys!

I reached out online about a 2nd vehicle filled out the credit app. Later that day I got a call from Jeff a salesman there. He got more information about what I was looking for and said they had pulled my credit report and to come in to the dealership. I informed him that I lived over 2 hours away and I was not sure when I would be able to come in. Two and a half weeks go by and I almost get a call from him everyday asking about when Im coming in. I finally get the chance to go in and I made an appointment with Jeff. I get down to Charleston at the time of the appointment walk in and they inform me that Jeff is not in today due to an emergency. I do not care what the emergency is or was but he could have passed my information to another co-worker to call and reach out to me so I could reschedule. Instead I walk in and speak to some Dylan salesman who has no idea whats going on. Come to find out there was nothing that could be done about getting me a 2nd car with an already open auto loan. Jeff informed me that would not be a problem, and to come on down. JEFF IS A LIAR as with most car salesman. Other that how I was treated and customer service at the dealership was pleasant enough.
This is what I wrote on DealerRaterAfter my daughter and I had the horrific experience with Nissan the day before, this dealership and all the staff we dealt with were like a breath of fresh air. It started wit Sylvia our salesperson who went above and beyond and was as polite and helpful as she could be. Even in the 100 degrees weather. Next the Sales Manager who I think was Chris (sorry if Im wrong) definitely worked with us to get as close to our price as possible and last Morgan Sauls in Finance. Morgan worked hard to get us a good interest rate and even gave us some information about the totaled car we would never have thought of. I would highly recommend anyone coming to this dealership for a new or used car. My husband and I entered the lot on Saturday only expecting to take a look at some Hyundais. I had done some research and the safety ratings, value and reliability were highly ranked by Consumer Reports. We wanted to take a look to see if we liked the styles as well as the rankings. We did.That is when we were greeted by Brent Rogers. He was very informative, nice, funny and helpful and all without being pushy. (We had just left a lot down the street because the salesmen was way over the top) We learned all we needed to know and given the opportunity to take two different vehicles out for a test drive. Once we had made the choice we were then given the option of either leasing or purchasing. Having never leased we had alot of questions. Again, all questions were answered but this time by Tony Sprovero, the financial director. We wound up leaving with a 2013 Sonata.The experience left us feeling like we were part of a community. They were all very pleasant and all genuinely excited for our new car. Salesmen that didnt have anything to do with the sale spoke to us and asked us about our car and wished us well.We will without a doubt return there for our vehicle needs. I have already referred Brent and plan on continuing to do so.
Have a 2012 Veloster and the touch screen stopped functioning. Car was less then 2 years old, but I had 38K miles on it. Hyundai on Rivers wanted $5K (est) to even send it in to be checked.Hyundai on Savannah pulled the unit, had it repaired, reinstalled plus an oil change for only a couple hundred dollars! AND, they were exceptionally nice.If you have a Hyundai, this is the place to go!!UPDATE: Another problem showed up with Navigation and the folks at Hendrick on Savannah took great care of it for me. Really go the extra mile!!
Had yet another good experience at HHC. This was my third vehicle from them and my second Veloster. Jeff Davis, Ben Burton, and Blake Williams took great care of us.
I went with my girlfriend to purchase a car here approximately June of 2015. I insisted that she buy a certified pre-owned vehicle, due to the fact that the car would be free of defects and that we could trust the dealership. Approximately a week after purchasing the car (2012 Hyundai Elantra, 40k miles), the vehicle would not start 1 out of 15 times she turned the key. We purchased the warranty, so we took it back to get the service department to assess the problem. When she dropped the vehicle off, the service department employee belittled her and asked are you sure you are starting it right?They were nice enough to lend her a rental for the time period she was without her car. The service department worked on the car for approximately 3 weeks to a month and returned the car to her stating the issue was resolved. A week or so after it was returned, the issue was still occurring. We both went back to the dealership this time. We were told that the car was a lemon and that nothing could be done to fix it and that she should consider leasing a new car. In order for her to do so, she would take a loss of 4k for the POS they sold her and also have to make the payments to the new car she would be leasing. So, we went home and talked it over and decided that we would put our foot down and insist that the problem be fixed on her car since she had the warranty. After I demanded the issue be fixed and a rental car be issued to her, the service department fixed the problem within one day. What was the problem? **The ignition.** Im not even a mechanic and this would be the first part of the car I would look at. Really sad that they would PREY on a young female and try to persuade her into leasing another car and taking a loss on the car she has barely driven. I have lost all faith in this Hyundai Dealership, as well as, Hyundai. This place is the epitome of bad car salesmen and I refuse to give them any future business.

I should have known from the moment I was on their website that the popups for Chat, gift card for test drive, text me etc. bombarded me. Chat is useless for the customer, they just use it to harvest your data. I took test drive with the coupon (BAIT) and was told they would mail me the coupon like Chas. Nissan. Sales person called 5x/day and emailed me to death. When I told them to leave me alone and send the gift card, they said they forgot to give it to me and I would have to come back (SWITCH) to pick it up. Their sales manager Sean told me I have to come in and sign a receipt to pick up the card. SLEAZY
AWful. Took my car on a Tuesday evening for what they said looked like an easy fix and they would call me with a quote before working on it. I didnt hear anything on Wednesday, so Thursday I called twice and left two voicemails (no one would answer in the service dept.) no call back. On Friday my husband and I both took turns calling, leaving voicemails and finally got one lady (that finally answered) to say she would personally hand the manager a note with my name and number to call me back.Nothing. On Saturday morning, I went and picked the car up (of course with no work having been done to it) and explained why I was getting it. The lady at the desk was a bit snappish as she told me she was the only one there.It seems they have more business than their employees can handle, therefore I will be taking mine elsewhere from now on.
Battery on my wifes car went out the other day. Called in and made an appointment, was told everything was covered and they didnt need any further information. I am active military, so it is rare I am able to get off work in time before most of these places close, so I was happy this worked out. Showed up for my appointment, and they told me they had no record of my appointment in their system, and that it would likely be 2-3 hours till they could get to my car. Unacceptable customer service, and my own fault for not getting the name of the guy who made the appointment. Fortunately Autozone, just 1 minute away, had the battery for cheaper, and installed it for free. I was probably done with the whole process there before Hyundai would have been, even if they had kept their word and my appointment. I will never bring my business to this dealership again, nor will I recommend my friends or family. With that, I recommend any small maintenance items you may have to save your time, money, and grief, and visit the Autozone right around the corner who has A+ customer service.
I had gone to a different dealership, which diagnosed my problem and told me it wasnt under warrantee. Due to geographical circumstances, I was unable to bring my car back to the dealer to repair the issue, and was going to be in Charleston, so instead, went to Hendrick Hyundai. The first difference was that their price was less expensive than the other dealership. Once I got there, Adam was incredibly helpful. He explained what made an issue covered under warrantee and suggested I go back to the original dealer who put a plug in my tire to repair a nail hole. Unfortunately, since they were in NY, that was impossible. He said if the plug caused damage to the tire pressure sensor, as I was told by the first dealer, then they should be responsible. However, when he ran the diagnostics, he found that the sensor wasnt damaged, as the first dealership had claimed, and, therefore, the repair was under warrantee! Adam was completely looking out for me and trying to be as accommodating as possible. He was focused on customer satisfaction and totally won me over. From now on, it will be worth the few extra minutes to take my car to Hendrick Hyundai.
My experience in dealing with Hendrick Hyundai could not have been more pleasant and stress-free. Daemion Hubbard, my sales associate, was extremely helpful in guiding me through the process of educating me on my new car and its features. I found Daemion to be very professional, friendly, and well informed on what he is he selling.Chris Hicks, the finance associate, was also extremely helpful and knowledgeable in describing the financing options and warranty products. Chris made the process very easy and straight forward and was very personable as well.General Manager J.R. Fredall made a point to greet me upon my arrival and was also there upon the completion of the process to make sure I was happy with his team and the service I received...I told him he a lot to be proud of and that I was beyond happy with every aspect of my dealings with his team and that I will definitely HIGHLY recommend them to my friends and family!

If i could give them zero stars I would. Worst experience with a car dealership. I dropped my car off on a friday, told them I would pick it up on tuesday night/ weds morning. They called me on tuesday and told me my car was finished. When i went to pick it up on tuesday night it was not finished. He promised me it would be ready first thing weds morning, when i went to pick it up at 8:00am Weds morning, it was still not ready. It was a huge inconvenience with work and having to change my schedule around theirs. Took them 6 days to fix some minor things on my car. Will certainly not be going back. Goodluck if you choose to get your vehicle serviced by them.
I was misled and lied to in order for Daemion Hubbard to make a sale. He promised that if I drove from CO to SC to trade in my lease that he would put me into another car with no penalties or charges. He instead added my remaining 15 months of payments to my new car and im stuck in a 5 year loan for double the ticket price. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!! His manager Chris Osbourne claimed I lied and that I drove 2500 miles for a good deal instead of what was promised by his employee. After driving 19hrs back to CO I discover there is zero oil in my engine and I have to have it towed in Kansas to a local dealer. Worst experience of my life. Wish I could give a lower rating.
