Ordered and paid online which is very convenient. Walked in to pick up my order and walked right out. We ordered bagel sandwichs with eggs. I had a salt bagel which was descent tasting, but the first time I ever had so much salt in a bagel, both on top and bottom. I had to scrape salt off and it was still too salty. Overall breakfast was good.

If you’re looking for authentic New York bagels, this is your place. I frequent Bagel Bin often and I’ve always been extremely impressed with the delicious bagels and sandwiches. My go-to is an egg, cheese and bacon on everything bagel. Whether it’s for breakfast or a deli lunch, you’ll be happy you’ve visited Bagel Bin.

First off, their bagels taste decent. I cannot say anything about the quality.My problem is the organization of this establishment. I came in on a Sunday around 10. I wanted six bagels to go (not toasted, no cream cheese.. just to go bagels for a brunch I was hosting later on)I spent at least half an hour in line. When I got to the front of the line they didnt have 2/3 flavors I wanted and if I wanted them I would need to wait 45 min. Mind you, they were there in the display but she had other orders via phone and website that held them first. Fine, Im okay with that, Im flexible to change. Im glad I wasnt stuck on a certain flavor. What Im not okay with is the complete disorganization, the cashier taking phone calls instead of helping me while 4 other employees walked around aimlessly.The complete lack of communication between staff and lack of an inventory system was atrocious. The flavors should at least be displayed so no one has to wait 30 min to be disappointed.For this, I wont return. Its not worth my time.

I love these bagels but I can’t recommend a place that cannot follow regulations and follow safety precautions for their customers. It is not so hard to wear a mask, most of the employees were except these two (see photos). But if not all of them wear masks ... what good is it? They are touching and cooking your bagels/sandwiches and yelling out names ... without a mask. Sigh.

The customer service is beyond parallel. The bagels...outstanding. Highly recommended.

First time to this place and it was great! I had The Cab on an egg everything bagel.

We were staying at a local hotel and wanted to get to-go breakfast from a local shop before getting back on the road. In an effort to be as contact free and quick as possible, we selected this location because we could order and pay ahead online. Placed our familys order 30min in advance. Arrived two minutes before estimated prepared time, order wasnt started. shop was empty of other customers. Could tell the front and back of house staff were not communicating very well. In the time of waiting for order to be prepared, 12 other customers came in and left. Production line was very slow for all orders. I had to ask if the order in the window was mine. The cashier who had greeted me and said I had to wait then said she didnt know I was waiting. Ended up getting out 15min later. So service was terribly disorganized for a Sunday morning, BUT thankfully our five orders were all correct. Overall happy to have found a shop where we could each customize our order.If I lived in the area I would give it one more try as it may have just been an off day for the team.

The bagels we got were good and took just a few minutes to prepare. The only negatives about our experience was the unkept patio space and the slightly distracted cashier taking out order.

I usually eat a bagel once every two months. They are not exactly healthy for you so I try to limit how often I eat them. With that said, I was in the mood for a bagel this morning. I actually prefer Einsteins, but since my husband likes the muffins at this place, i decided to go here for my bagel. I literally waited 20 minutes for them to give me 2 bagels and a muffin in a bag to go. I did not want it toasted, no cream cheese, no bagel sandwich, just a quick order to go. After about 15 minutes, I actually asked one of the girls behind the counter if my order was lost since all they had to do was put 3 items in a bag for me, but she said they do orders in the que in which they get them, whether it be phone or online. I will not be back here due to bad service. If I am at Starbucks and just want a regular coffee, they pour it for me straight away, I pay for it, and leave. I do not wait for a regular coffee after lattes and frap orders are in front of mine. And one last gripe I had about this place... the tipping. On the computer screen, they offer 18%, 20%, 25%, and other. For a place where they dont serve you, that is too big of a tip.

Amazing Egg Everything bagels, but every single time I come here the people in the back making the food are not wearing face coverings as required under NC exec order to stop spread of COVID. Every time they have the neck gaitors down on their neck, breathing all over the food we eat. You make your front counter staff wear them, and all your customers wear them, please do the right thing for the health of your customers and your business.

This is the best bagel spot in Charlotte!!! They are friendly and quick with orders. My personal favorite is Spinach Bagel with Scallion Cream Cheese add Bacon

What a cluster. First and most importantly, all of the meats and eggs are cooked in the microwave. I placed an online order and stood at the counter for 10 minutes before finally being able to wave someone down to help. Employees were fighting behind the counter the whole time and we’re clearly miserable. Also noticed none of the employees were wearing masks. Hopefully they’re all vaccinated. Definitely will not return.

This place is definitely one of my favorite locally owned businesses in town. The bagels are consistently delicious and the people are very kind - you can really tell they appreciate your business! The egg everything bagel never misses and I’m happy to say I will continue to be a loyal customer for a long time rather than go to some other mediocre-quality, corporate run bagel chain. Shop local people!!! :)

Went to the store and gave an order, left the store before checking I had everything (my mistake for not checking before leaving); turns out I was shorted two bagels. Called the store and told them, and they pretty much said I was lying and asked me to drive all the way back with all bagels in the bag and they’d check themselves. I was missing prob $5 of bagels, told them to keep the money and that I’d never return.

Very long wait times and the staff was screaming at guests about taking photos inside the restaurant. Found that to be weird as photos on social media are free marketing. Could have been bc none of the staff were wearings masks. Food was good though.

Order was not ready when it said it would be… which, is fine: We understand there are will be delays post-Covid. However, part of our order was missing, and was not found until we were home. Our daughter had to have an alternative breakfast because it’s hard to get back out with a toddler.

The bagels are fine for this far south. The problem I had with my visit this morning was the kid working in the front without a mask who got our bagels for us. After sneezing and wiping his nose went right back to work without even thinking about washing his hands. Even not in the middle of a pandemic, I dont know how this could be acceptable. The lack of mask was just the cherry on top.

The food is always great but the staff are extremely rude every time I come here. It always seems like they are in a bad mood. Also, some of the staff were not wearing masks. I have seen many other reviews about this and the owner had responded to many of them trying to justify it. The worker that handed me my food was not wearing a mask, and don’t come at with me with the “masks are only required when socially distanced from customers” because he was not distant from me. Many reviews talk about the poor customer service so why don’t you change it and train your employees on how to talk to customers? It shows the lack of management and professionalism.

NOT the best experience today due to my entire order being incorrect. I called to share my ENTIRE order was wrong and all I got was I read the order back to you HONEY so condescending of a male !! This review is difficult because I really like the bagels, we get food from here 2-4 times per month and Ive never had any issues with the food quality or ingredients. This remains one of the most deeply unpleasant restaurants that I continue to patronize. Often when we are there, the staff will have loud conversations complaining about working conditions while making the food and they just simply dont make an effort to try to be friendly with customers. In an effort to cut out having to interact with staff, I ordered online this morning. 10 minutes later, I got a call saying the bagel I had ordered wouldnt be ready for an hour and I needed to change my order (which was all fine with me). When I actually got to the restaurant to pick up, a different person told me that the second set of bagels I had ordered still werent ready and they were in the oven. Despite me not saying a word, the employee said I dont know what you want me to do I cant make them bake faster. Then the three employees went back to their angry conversation about their working environment. The only suggestion I have is, dont change the food, but at least pretend to be nice to the people paying for the food.

Don’t listen to any 1-star reviews of this place. They are likely from a high-maintenance Ballantyne mom that had to wait an extra few minutes for her bagel. This place is/was and will always be the GOAT bagel spot. As for the few folks saying the staff is unfriendly, I guarantee they were being rude to the staff to begin; they are always friendly when I come in since I don’t have an overwhelming sense of entitlement. Have never had any mistakes on my order upon receiving it either and I have been coming here for years. You simply cannot beat the quality and price of these bagels and my only complaint is that they aren’t open all day!

Best bagels hands down. I drove from Fort Jackson, SC which is in Columbia up north 1 hr and 15 min to buy two dozen. Sweet family ran place. It reminded me of the bagels I used to eat back home when I was a child in Queens, NY. I ordered online the day prior and picked up my order at 8am the very next day. Love getting my weekend bagels here, gotten breakfast here about 10 times since we moved here from Florida. Yesterday I got home, started eating my bagel and found a curly black hair sandwiched in between the ham and cheese. Delicious. My favorite. Called them up and told them, the woman on the phone wanted me to come back but I wasn’t going to drive 15 minutes back there. She offered a refund so let’s see if the owner does it or not. They said they wear hairnets but doesn’t seem like it. They didn’t have their masks on either so 🤷🏼‍♀️

We received errors in our order and called just to inform them. The representative who answer was the phone was the same person who took our order. He had HORRIBLE customer service. He didn’t apologize for the error. My team and I will not be returning.

This is surprise find. A bit tough to see from the main street but oh my glad it caught me eye. Owner is from New York and makes bagels in the authentic way, he boils them first. Terrific assortment, including some I have never tried before including Hawaiian... Linda sweet.. Good texture and consistency. Establishment is clean and well maintained. Staff is pleasant and its clear they have a lot of regular clientele.Parking is easy and plentiful. I urge anyone reading this... give em a try, I think youll be glad you did

Great Bagels and great people! My 7yr old son wanted to pay for breakfast for both of us and he wanted to order everything himself! In the spirit of encouraging confidence and independence, I stayed outside on the patio while he went in to order and pay. I watched as the staff came from around the counter to take his order and made sure he felt comfortable. He was grinning with pride when he cane out and he was excited that he got to keep the change! Definitely a locals place. If you love a bagel thats made the right way (toasted) this is the morning spot youve been looking for, sometimes there is a line but they are quick at the counter and the results are for real. Pro tip the pastry case by the register is also home to some great muffins.

Poor safety measures related to covid 19. None of staff is wearing masks and bagels are sitting out while they are talking loudly with each other leading to possible contamination of food from their airborne particles. When I suggested they should wear masks or cover the bagel area they were quite unresponsive, stating it was not mandatory, and it was hot for them to wear. Working in healthcare I know that you need to do it to protect your customers, period. I left without making a purchase.

Overall a very poor experience. Two different members of the staff were quite rude to us. Also the door to the kitchen was open and it was filthy (we would have left but had already placed our order). And I’ve never seen a restaurant that charges a 3% surcharge for using a debit/charge card. We overheard someone say the place was under new management, so I assume the good ratings on here are from when the previous owners operated it. Food was average, but prices very high for what you get. We will not return.

I went to this location today and was completely shocked that none of the employees were wearing mask. Employees s talking, laughing, fixing food and NOT WEARING MASK. I walked out. This location need to be reported to the health department.

Great bagel shop. Walk inside and enjoy all the fresh baked aromas. Friendly greeting, great choices, some unique choices like spinach and egg everything. Im sure the sandwiches here are great. Reminds me of home. They even carry black & white cookies. The only missing things? Bialys and rainbow cookies.

We love Bagel Bin! We just moved to Cedar Walk, and have had Bagel Bin almost everyday due to its convenient location. Their everything bagel is nothing short of salty and delicious. Breakfast sandwiches are always hot and fresh, and their muffins aren’t too bad either.

Hands down, the BEST bagels, customer service and atmosphere! I plan to park myself at Bagel Bin as often as I can. There is no other place like it and my taste buds thank you for the fresh ingredients. Also, if theres a long line... dont be fooled because they are very efficient and quick!

Bad customer service. Ordered the bagels and a croissant and danish. Coffee was cold and the order took 15 mts. Then they told me the croissant and danish that I saw and ordered they said it was sold to someone else. Never coming back

Tried to eat lunch here today and was completely ignored. I have always loved to eat here, but I am beyond disappointed in my experience today. After walking in and standing first in line at the counter with my co-worker, we got nothing more than a few glances in the course of 15 minutes, as we watched the three young male employees stack boxes of gloves, chat it up with each other, and team work to make one sandwich. We were only acknowledged after we turned around to leave and were told it would be just a minute. We left and walked straight to Buffalo Wings and Rings next door and enjoyed our meal and acknowledgement.

Ran in for a couple of bagel sandwiches while visiting a friend and we were happy with everything. I only wished I asked for the peppers to be cooked on my sandwich. I had coffee which was great and my friend had a sweet tea that she enjoyed. Overall we were very pleased.

Great little shop to grab a bagel. We tried a bakers dozen of whatever they recommended. While not every single one was a favorite we did find the chocolate bagel and the everything bagel to be excellent!We freeze our bagels when we get them and dethaw and eat them as we go. They definitely hold up well and lose no flavor in the process!

It’s ok. Pretty similar to Tega Cay deli with less of a selection of bagels and flavored cream cheese. If I were the owner I’d have my employees wear Bagel Bin T-shirts and hats or something that looks a bit more professional. When we went, there’s kids preparing your order wearing hoodies and just overall really casual clothing which gives the place an unprofessional vibe. The bagels were ok but a bit hard. The kitchen area behind the door looked dirty. We wouldn’t go back because Tega Cay and Rock Hill deli are both cleaner.

Me and my co-workers go here at least once or twice a week for lunch. Food is excellent with freshly baked bagels and choice meats. The toppings are very fresh as well. I love this place and would recommend it to anyone looking for good food, good service, and value.

Somewhat expensive but if you want bagels, especially bagel sandwiches it is a great find. The bagels are large, NYC-style bagels and they sell high quality Boars Head deli meats. This is a Brooklyn style bagel shop come to Ballantyne.
