The Artisans Palate had a unique ambience - with its art gallery and outdoor garden - it was a great space to meet up with friends and also explore. I was slightly disappointed by their brunch food as I had high hopes for it. I started with a blueberry mimosa which was good, and then followed it with a Chefs Brioche French Toast. While I was promised vanilla egg custard, the dish was more dry and heavy and did not have as much of that creamy layer I was hoping for. I also shared a Smoked Tomato Kale with my friend and it was pretty decent. All in all, I would say this could be a great place for a different meal.
It was ok. Arrived at 545 on a Friday so plenty of outdoor seating empty but labeled reserved. We were placed in a tiny round metal table with uncomfortable chairs under a tent near the future DJ. The wobbly table had too many decorations on it to also hold our plates and drinks so we sat items on the parking lot. The waitress must have been new as she offered me sides with my entree then came back later and said My meal didn’t come with it. She brought me the wrong drink and we had to walk up to the desk to request our check after we sat with empty plates ready to leave for a show. The food was delicious including a cheese plate, salad and sliders. The price tag was rather high for the food, service and setting. Given the strong reviews I had read, I was a bit disappointed. I might be willing to give it one more try in the future. I did enjoy the sweet doggo with his toys sitting near us.One more thing to add. I appreciate the manager responding and recommending reservations next time. The reason I didn’t have a reservation is because your website makes absolutely no mention of reservations or a link to do so online so I interpreted that as none taken as so many places are becoming these days so when we arrived and asked if we had reservations I was disappointed because I would have made them if I had known better.
Came for Sunday brunch at an outside table. Theyve got tables set up in front and also in the back. If you choose to sit inside, theres plenty of ventilation with one side of the restaurant basically open to the patio.Tried the brioche French toast and a frittata, along with the curry butternut squash soup. Food was good, but service was slow, unfortunately, once we have our order. It also took a while to get the check. On the plus side, parking for this Noda-adjacent restaurant is convenient in the lot.
A restaurant and art gallery located in the popular North Davidson (NoDo) area with craft cocktails, serving locally roasted coffee by Magnolia Coffee, craft beer, unique wines both by the glass, and retail and shareable small plates for dinner. Dont forget to sit in their secret garden. the food is deliciously fresh and the service was warm and friendly.
Food and service was fairly quick. Safe and cool environment. Bartender made amazing drinks. Ribs and those potatoes were so complementing it definitely filled me up. Shrimp and grits was the other entre was very tasty and loved grits. Bacon wrapped dates was something new but very good for a something never tried.
Ok!! So, first of all -they - so graciously - reserve this very large table for us after church — those of us in the biz know how hectic that can be to serve…. But, they do it well and happily!! The food is delicious and live music is always great in my book! Highly recommend and tip my hat 😉 to a great staff and service!!! See you soon!
What a delight! We were visiting Charlotte from Raleigh and looked great restaurant that served vegetarian food with outdoor seating. This restaurant was highly rated on Google and it did not disappoint! Are absolute favorite was the smoked salmon board. I am not sure that I have had more delicious salmon in my life. In addition the cocktails were amazing and the waiter was hilarious and attentive. I would definitely come back here on my next visit to Charlotte!
Went for breakfast/lunch on Saturday around noon. Food was really delicious!! $5 bloody marys were also great. Bacon wrapped dates are a must. Everything we ordered was so good.Understandably, they are short staffed which made the service very slow. The staff was definitely working super hard and it’s not their fault. However, I was disappointed to see the owner or manager (not exactly sure who she was) taking her time putting up some Halloween decorations while there was a restaurant full of people. We were there for 1.5-2hrs and did not see this woman help her staff even one time or check on any tables/customers. Frustrating to see as the other staff were working clearly their butts off the whole time and could have used the help.
I love this place! It has a really good vibe. Indoor and outdoor seating. Sometimes theyll hold little shows and events.
I had a great experience at The Artisan’s Palate when I visited on a weekday for lunch with a friend. The lady who took my order seemed a little short with her responses at first but I think it’s because she is trying to provide the customer with speedy service. After I asked her a few questions, she was actually very warm and friendly and offered to make me a custom, dairy free, tea latte since they make all of their syrups in house and apparently, custom drinks are her jam.I also ordered the marinated olives and a smashed avocado on a butter croissant. Everything I had was delicious! My friend had the salmon/lox platter and it was great too. We sat outside and chatted for a couple of hours and no one rushed us out or made us feel uncomfortable staying for a while. Highly recommend checking them out. The place is also very clean and the local art is a nice touch. Always great to see the new exhibits. The bathroom was super clean and organized as well.
Management is incompetent and dismissive of employee concerns and employee morale. Horrible place to work. Jada, seriously - when an employee comes to you with concerns and all you can do is push back with negative criticisms it shows you lack any type of leadership skills. Also, the food is overpriced.
Outside dining was excellent...didnt see the secret garden until afterwards and it looks GREAT !!!
Everything is tip top here! Christa has a keen eye for attention to detail and it comes through in her flavors and her staff alike. Its easily one of my favorite places ever in Charlotte. The art exhibits are a HUGE treat. Who else is doing it like this in CLT? And so much amazing outdoor seating! Go try it!
Had a wonderful experience at their monthly drag brunch! Food was phenomenal!
Looks like a great place! Loved the decor and vibe. We were there too early for food and yet we are excited to go back to drink and taste what they have :) Will let you know once we do.
I had an amazing experience at Artisans Palate on a Saturday evening. The food was perfect. Everything was plated beautifully, cocktails were very tasty, and the menu had lots of great options. The indoor and outdoor areas were both really nice. I sat outside to be extra covid safe and each table had a fire pit next to it. There was also a basket of blankets for guests to use as well. Just very thought-out details that made for a great evening.
I love Artisans Palate! They were so kind to welcome our large group during a busy Sunday brunch and did a wonderful job accomodating us. I also love tucking away out back in the secret garden for a glass of wine in the evenings. Great atmosphere, great food, great people! Highly recommend!
This was our first time at Artisans Palate with a large group of about a dozen people. The waitress brought out my food and because I hadn’t been there before I didn’t know what their French toast looked like. It was in an iron pan on a board so not regular french toast. She also had someone else’s meal in her other hand which was not what my husband ordered. So I didn’t know she brought out my meal. It is so loud in the restaurant that you can’t have a conversation with anyone so I could not hear her when she abruptly asked who ordered the french toast. I told her I couldn’t hear her so she literally screamed at the top of her lungs FRENCH TOAST!!!! She was incredibly rude. Later as we were leaving this same waitress told us to get out of the way as we were telling a person in our party bye. Learn some manners!! And customer service!!
Great food and drinks and super friendly staff. The Smoked Salmon plate, and the homemade meatballs are our favorites. The live 🎶 and California vibes make it our go to spot.
Nice hidden gem in the city. The food was good with a great selection of drinks.
Cool atmosphere, love the artwork. Food is okay. Dont expect much on their food.
Drinks are great here, but a bit pricey. Great service from the Bar tenders and staff, but not a huge fan of the Owner. I was sitting in my usual spot at the bar with a friend and was told we need to leave the spot in 30 mins since it is reserved, even though I heard they dont reserved spots at the bar. Seemed very rude and unprofessional in my opinion.
This is a very special restaurant. Not only is the food delicious, the atmosphere very unique, Local artists Display display and sell their creations. there are a number of different areas to sit, bar, inside, patio, and a beautiful garden area outback. The food and cocktails are delicious. they must try in Charlotte, and the owner is a gem!
Beautiful dishes that we were able to share together among six people. Dishes were small and quite heavily themed. Kind of like Spanish Tapas
First time here, coffee was AMAZING, staff was awesome and the place itself is super cute and vibey
Walked in before dinner service and what did they do? Shared their staff “family meal” with me. I also had coffee and later a couple glasses of wine that were well prepared and perfectly paired perspectively. Great service! The small plate menu and cheese menu looks incredible. Can’t wait to go back!
We love this place. Awesome food and drink, and the crowd is awesome too.
This place has a cool vibe and delicious cafe, cocktails, and food menus. Its the perfect spot for someone who wants to work at a coffee shop in the morning. Internet is reliable. Their brunch is amazing and theres often love music lined up on weekends. Make sure to check out the secret garden out back and the featured artist gallery which rotates each month. Favorite menu items: tomato soup, any breakfast biscuit sandwich, and for a drink - tipsy meyers.
Very good food. A little pricy, but its worth it?
My family had Easter Brunch. The food, service, and abiance are great. We had a variety of dishes, all of which were delicious. The menu is diverse with something for all.Food and drinks are reasonably priced. The restaurant follows covid protocols.Overall a great dining experience and we will return.
Love this place so much! Enjoyed a great dinner outside, they had plenty of heaters for the winter weather. Amazing cocktails - especially if you enjoy whisk(e)y but have a wide variety. Loved the empanadas and highly recommend. Great place to share a lot of different plates and try different foods.
Food is delicious! The ambiance is great but the service is painfully awful. We’ve been here 3 times and all 3 times the service has been disappointing. I waited over 30 minutes for my server to come back to our table so that I can order a drink. We ended up just asking for the check and leaving.
One of the best new restaurants in Charlotte!Whether for breakfast, brunch, or dinner the food at Artisan’s Palate is simply incredible. The cocktail and wine program are among the best in town, also. The space itself is unique with a cozy indoor area, outdoor patio (heated when needed), art gallery, and “secret garden” back patio. Be sure to stop in when there is live music on the patio, too!
I love it here! I live a few blocks away and its a regular spot for me. Their cocktails are amazing and they also have great daily drink specials every week. I love their sliders too! I also love supporting local artists while Im there and have grabbed some prints for my home. Definitely check out their back garden too!
Great for a date night! We love their small plates and wide tequila selection!
They never get our order right and it’s overpriced. Don’t bother getting to-go from here.
I absolutely love this spot! I’m in love with the malted iced coffee. And the food and cocktails are also amazing. The staff is attentive and kind. If you’re ever in the neighborhood definitely stop by. They have fresh, delicious pastries and local art for your viewing pleasure. They also have live music on the weekends.
Friendly staff and nice outdoor space in the back
This place is awesome and unique for a date night. The drinks are interesting, and there is a lot to do and see even in the intimate space. The small art gallery is lovely to walk through, and the porch is cozy and well shaded for even a comfortable summer night. There is also a fun game to play behind the bar. The TV displays famous pieces of art and then displays the name. Its a good bit of competition to see who can identify the most pieces.
The salads our group ordered where amazing Im great portions.
Great place for a simple breakfast menu and a beverage.
Awesome food, drinks and ambiance. I’ve been here for breakfast, lunch, dinner and for after dinner drinks and always found everything impressive. Love their creative custom cocktails too. One of my favorite spots in Noda! It’s truly a hidden gem.
Love the backside patio! Very cute and quaint
Great spot for any time of day and any day of the week! The service, atmosphere, food and drinks all get 5 stars from me. Love the featured art and live music on the weekends. A new favorite spot of mine.
Everything about this place is amazing! I love the concept of the shareable plates so everyone can try a little bit of everything, and it is all amazing. The cocktails are delicious and so unique! The service is unmatched and the art gallery is such a cool concept and a great way to involve the community. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun night out!
Music was too loud, we couldnt have a conversation inside the restaurant.
Really good addition to the area. Ive only tried them for breakfast / brunch. Bacon wrapped figs were really good.
We love The Artisan’s Palate. The food and drinks are amazing. Nice wines by the glass and a wonderful selection on the wall to take home. The service was great each time we visited. Our daughter loves the hot chocolate and pastries so that is a win there.
Great little spot phenomenal food, atmosphere was amazing we were seated in a gallery with paintings of famous musicians and the team service we experienced was top notch.
Very disappointed. Went with a few friends and wont go back. The service was terrible. Everyone got their food at different times. One of our specialty drinks came out after the food even. The cheese plates did not have enough cheese for all of us (4) to enjoy a taste. We ordered fries and were told we had to wait an hour and then they never came out. The shrimp and grits was pretty good but it did not look appetizing in the dish. The food was expensive and when we got it was okay but nothing special. The place looked cute but it was not very comfortable inside, a little noisy. We had to find the art display ourselves because no one mentioned it (we only knew there might be art on display from the website mentioning a featured artist) and we were disappointed it was just a room. Just disappointed in the whole experience that was a real let down from what we expected.
This restaurant is a must! Don’t think about it - just Van Gogh. All kidding aside, this is one of our favorites in all of Charlotte. The food is fabulous, the people fantastic. Outdoor dining that will allow you to enjoy the food and the people while giving Covid the finger.
Great spot for dates nights! Specially half price wine nights on Tuesday. Found them on Instagram and love the fact that they support local artists!
Must you advertise LGBTQ friendly?!
Cute spot! Good food and atmosphere! First time to visit for a wedding reception and loved all of it. Nice staff and good drinks. Definitely a brunch place for me! Enjoyed all the gourmet cheeses!!
Great atmosphere & great food
Love all the art. Food was delicious. Staff is super friendly. Will definitely be back!
This place is amazing! The food is the first thing and it is awesome! So many flavors. Im a foodie and this place is worth it. Cocktails are creative and delicious and theres a wonderful wine selection too!! Not to mention she always has the gallery where there is a featured artist with items for sale..... and then there is the garden-- aka the patio with fire pit. Cant say enough wonderful things about this place. Its a must when you love or visit Charlotte.
I visited Artisan’s Palate today for a late brunch/lunch. Upon entering I was made aware that the business would prefer meto wear a mask, which made me very happy to see. The staff were wearing masks and were most helpful to explain the way the restaurant worked. You order at the counter and the staff brings you your food and beverages. There is outside seating in the front, sides and back of the building. The indoor seating is open-air, which is really great during this pandemic. You really should feel at ease dining here.I had the chocolate croissant & the spinach, mushroom & gouda frittata . Both were delicious. The Bloody Mary was $5 and it was the best one I’ve had in town.I can’t say enough about supporting local, small businesses right now and I hope anyone reading this will make it a point to get out, safely and do their part! We want authenticity in our neighborhoods so please help support them during this time!
I live in NoDa and saw a post about The Artisans Palate in our apartment newsletter! I came by for drinks and had such a great experience! So happy we found this place! And we love that they have plenty of parking! Such a plus!
Such an amazing space and concept. Awesome coffee and pastries to start the morning! Recently visited for dinner with some friends, and Christa (the owner) did not disappoint! She has put together a fantastic craft cocktail program and dinner was fabulous! They also have an art gallery featuring local artists. We will definitely be returning, time and time again.
Absolutely loved the food. We went for the dinner service on a Friday night. The prices made sense for the generous portions you received, and they tasted like they should cost $10-15 more. Better than the majority of high end restaurants I’ve been to in Charlotte.Atmosphere is cozy but not cramped. It can get loud at times, but we never had to raise our voices to be heard. Service was exceptional as well.Looking forward to trying out brunch sometime in the future.
Enjoyed this place. Nice industrial / modern look, big open space that can be opened up to parking lot with nice weather, nice (tapas style) menu selection, and friendly staff.
Food is creative and delicious! Underrated cocktail spot
Very delicious food!!! I love the beautiful scenery inside the restaurant so relaxing and calm!!!
Great food with great prices especially breakfast/brunch. The bacon dates are amazing and great for any meal time.
I live in Plaza Midwood and saw my friends tagging Artisans on Insta so I had to come in! I had the best brunch ever - the baked French toast was insane! I even left with a print from a local artist too! Awesome space for social distancing as well, I felt really safe. Excited for when live music will be back :)
Better than average coffees, in house baked goods, and drinks galore. The decor is open and fresh, and quite artsy. They have a gallery in the back corner for artists and to show their goods and it changes frequently. The art is for sale as well as prints of the same. My favorite part was at the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Also, there is an indoor and outdoor section and they have small plates available.
Been here several times now and its easily my new favorite coffee shop in and around CLT. They also serve small plates and a handful of beers and whiskey. All of this is reasonably priced in comparison to other places in Charlotte. Ive seen a very good mix of people come through here: old, young, rich, poor, and all races and ethnic groups. The staff has always been friendly and approachable.
My new favorite breakfast spot. The people are always friendly and the food is awesome!
Coffee spot with some baked good items. Kitchen is open for brunch and weekend small plates. Service was great. The last star was not awarded because I felt they were still trying to determine how they fit in the community. Currently, the approach feels like it is trying to over appeal to the counter culture taking away from its authenticity.
Fantastic atmosphere and service!
Just discovered Artisans and it’s our new favorite spot! I saw them reposted on Noda Instagram and had to check them out. We loved their cocktails and outdoor space. We felt super safe and comfortable social distancing. Totally recommend to anyone in Charlotte for a date night!
This is such a cute spot in Noda! The coffee is always delicious and they have the cutest secret garden in the back! I’ve lived in Noda for over a year and just recently found them on Instagram - so happy I found them! 10/10 would recommend!
Such a marvelous experience with great wines for the evening and awesome coffees for the next morning to wake me up! Oh, and the pastries and small plates oh my God…
Love this place! Top notch detail to every aspect of the dinning and drinking experience! Love the local art touch and fine touches from the food, drinks, decor, art, and ambiance. Great staff too!👍
Great place with classic cocktails and an incredible food menu. Love that we have a place open to 11:00 in the neighborhood. I will definitely be there on a regular basis.
Cant wait for this place to open back up. Personally I feel that everything from the coffee to the food is superior to what the other coffee shops in Noda have to offer.
Great place. Very nice people working there. Tasty food and full bar. Cute patio out back. Go check it out!
Amazing service!! Very nice and friendly environment.
Gre6
Food and drinks are amazing!
Very cool place! Cant wait to visit there again!
Excellent service and great atmosphere, the malted iced coffee is amazing. Cant wait for the full opening in September.
This is my new favorite place to get coffee in Charlotte. Its a great venue to work in as well.
What a unique place...I absolutely love it here❣ If u r looking for a great place to get a coffee and chill this is it. The price was super reasonable too!!!
I heard this establishment recently opened and thought to check it . It has everything I expected and then some. I decided to have a Matcha Green Tea Latte. It was very tasty ! After I had my tea, I had an opportunity to meet the a friend employed there and met the owner. They were very pleasent and cheerful. Before I went away, I purchased a couple of baked items such as scones and Struesel cakes. I would highly recommend the Artisans Palate,as they will be very successful.
Love the owner and employees, thanks for letting us have DragQueen Bingo there. You rock !!!
