I love this store so much the staff is like family. If you need help their always willing to help you with a smile. I like the fact they treat you like family instead of a customer. I pass many grocery store but I only shop at this one. Always get more for you bucks. Im truly a loyal customer. You guys keep up the great work.β€π
The best tortas in the city can be found at the back of this grocery store. Cash only. The tortas are huge made with in-house baked bread and come with tomato, lettuce, chilies, avocado and cheese. My fav is the pechuga de pollo or chicken torta. The store is a wonderful place to go if you are looking for ingredients to cook latin american and mexican food.
Sav/way has a good assortment of food as well as other products like soaps, flavored chips, and ramen noodles just to name a few. Ive tried items that I cant find anywhere else. My family really love most of the things I buy from Sav/way. I make it a point to go at least once every 2 weeks. Love, love, love the wide variety of things I find. Its something different. Eating the same old same old gets boring.
The Tortas here are amazing. So many authentic Hispanic/Latino items to choose from. Has that hometown tienda vibe to it. Friendly employees, nice atmosphere.
If your Latino, then this is a great place for you.... If not, your barely tolerated. Wont be going back there.... Uno
I learned about this hidden gem from one of my friends. The sandwiches in this place are a.m.a.z.i.n.g!!! The cook at the sandwich parlor prepared us oyster with sea water and algae. He was really welcoming and warm. I would recommend their Legua de Res. Remember you need to pay in cash. So take some money with you. Also, they have Mexican sodas with cane sugar rather than HFCS.
Excellent local grocery store, great produce.
Great veggies!Fun store for a happy crosscultural grocery experience.
Great store helpful peoples.
A nice sized store. Fresh foods. A clean environment, its open space and welcoming staff. Can order cut meat. A good selection of non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. Its a quick convenient stop for your grocery needs.
Good variety in products but every is overpriced and rude customer service.
The store is so clean and the shelves is full and organized love this store
Torta is amazing. Big enough for 2 people. $12 cash
I went to the store around 9:30 PM and one the worker told me that we are close. I told him thatI checked online and you guys close at 10 PM today. The guy told me that 10 PM if for the worker there and the customer time is 9:30 which was a lie. When I ask him can I speak to the manager, the manager came, his name was Luis Moran. The manager told me that because of covid 19 we changed the store hours. I did not anything he said.
Cashier was very rude and dismissive, because I was using EBT. Then she explained to me l would be paying remainder of balance? I always do. She needs to be fired! She did not even say thanks. Her name is Geovanni, and I have the receipt. Thank you, Mr. Philip William Mosely LPN ret. Yes, she was ringing up under another persons, name and cashier number, which is very wrong within itself.
Edited: yeah, i think i misunderstood the situation. I hope for the best for them. great if you are into spicy foods. The chicken is pretty affordable. Long time customer, at least they seem to care.
Not a good place to shop.. they dont help black people at all and I tried to go back and shop however the same thing.. not good.. they want ther black money but dont respect
The meat prices are just wonderful and the cashier was very nice and answer my question with a smile it made feel welcome for being my first time going. Im going back soon. Thank you and God bless you and your employees... π
The staff is very pleasant helpful I take notice to the small things, and Ive never been disappointed whenever I needed to stop by this is important to me excellent customer service
I come here for all my Spanish food needs. I am from Miami, and this is the only place close to a Spanish supermarket. It could be a little bit cleaner but other that highly recommended. The have a little cafe the back with great food.
Employee They have an unbearable rudenessThis was my favorite place to shop
Good place to do grocery shopping and if you havent try the Mexican sandwiches from these place youre missing out, I highly recommend them
Good people and price
Primarily a Latino grocery store. But the majority of the locals patronize this place as well. I myself lived here in this area for a number of years and shopped here as well. The store is always well-stocked and maintained. The staff are engaging friendly and helpful as well. If youre looking for a wide variety of produce, spices and food with an ethnic twist, i would strongly recommend that you spend a few hours and put this place on your to do list. If you took the time to read this detailed review, please take a 1/2 second and click like. Thank you.
Awesome grocery store. Good mix of Hispanic and American food, great tortas. A few of the really American/generic white people foods dont get much turnover and sometimes arent fresh, but I love Sav Way. Great dried pepper selection. Worth going
The best thing from this store for me is the tortas
Whenever Im home in Charlotte this is where I stack up for my weekend. From Snacks to Sunday Dinner..
The best prices in Charlotte,
The best Tortas in Charlotte
A convient place to shop also with good prices
The spot reminds me of local grocery stores in New Jersey and New York.. It has a restaurant in the back that serves some of the best food Ive had since being in Charlotte... Definitely a best kept secret... Please check it out...
Very clean store. Great prices lots of selection. The staff was nice as well
Good store
We been there before and we love it so very much π€
This establishment has been here since my childhood and has not changed one bit.(Which is a good thing) The food in the back have the best tortas for the price.
The tortas inside is my first time but I apologize they put big lettuce π₯¬ and when you eat is not fresh and also the pork is taste like tuna.very big for 1 people and they only accept cash π΅ so in my opinion is good .
I love shopping here! Even when my funds are super low I know that I can take $5 there and get two things of kale at $0.89 each and a pack of rice and a box of cornbread and have dinner for 2 days!
I mostly go there to buy Food from the Restaurant inside. The Tortas are the Best around and no body else has come close to thier quality. As for gloceries, they have a nice variety of Hispanic products. I mostly buy sodas or juice since they got a nice variety of them inside other than the standard ones you see everywhere else.
Charged me 3 extra dollas cause I donβt speak Spanish Iβm Italian from England smh
Good selection of hispanic food I like. Most things decently priced.
Fantastic Latino grocery with the best tortas in Charlotte! Takes a while to get the sandwich, about 10 minutes, but definitely worth the wait.
Great produce at a great price. I love this store.
Always fun.. and the torta/taco counter in the rear of the store offers some of the tastiest, value-packed lunches in town. I love the Cubano.
Lengua torta was bigger than your headCant wait to try the tacos next
Save way itself is great for cultural grocery shopping. In specific Latin. And can I say they have the BEST tortas in a tiny restaurant within the grocery store at the very back.
Love Sav/Way. Very clean and great prices on meats.
It noice and it tiny food place is way tooo goood
Nice store
Grocery items are overpriced
Good place to start shopping wisely
Best produce but groceries prices are high but its perfectly fine. I loved how one of the cashier that was on register 5 with the curly hair yesterday was so sweet and friendly to customers.
Amazing place to get a delicious sandwich. Menu is in Spanish, so be ready for a bit of cultural immersion.
Good freshly product s a bargain tks
It is the most wonderful food store with hard to find items, friendly helpful employees and prettiest fullest meat case with good prices and produce, great variety fresh and full. It is a must see place!
Very nice workers. Good people. International Food. Good parking Lot.
Theres a really nice guy at the door known him for years
One of the best kept lunch secrets in Charlotte. All hail tortas!
Dont seem to care for darker skinned people. ONLy Hispanics work here, American brands are overly expensive and attempting to use coupons is a headache. Because it is nearby we stop in frequently, but would never go out of my way to shop here.
The people here are super nice and the Tortas in the back are super good. And they have awesome prices on Latin products but theyre u.s. products are a little bit higher say Harris Teeter or Aldi
I like the fruit and vegetables here its always clean and organized also the staff is friendly. It can get crowded but they are ontop and open more registers. Also they sell food in the back i always grab me a Torta before heading out...a must try they are delicious!
Always nice and clean
Great place to get fresh vegetables and Hispanic Food!
Love going to this place just for one thing there cubana especial its a huge sandwich that not one person alone can finish by there self
Staff is nice. Food in the back really good
I shop here weekly, sometimes twice weekly.I went to the store on may 18th, to grab some items for a neighbor. the man in front of be was buying some fruit pies, he found one with the sticker priced @ 3/$1.00. the cashier wanted to argue with him that they werent that price, on a previous visit, I buy the some @ 3/$1.00. he called for a manager to clarify the issue. the manager said only 1 of the pies was for the sticker price, not 3. so she cheated the customer. because of this I walk out without making my purchase, telling the manager, that I was not shopping there for this reason!!!!!!
Affordable quality nice environment and workers
I mainly buy bananas here..sometimes i buy their sugar free strawberry jelly..its an ok store ..only problem was the cashier next to the bananas stand was putting on makeup at her register one day..lol..
Nice place to ship, prices can be a little high on some products.
This used to be the place to go to get your mexican goods. We are in the area and needed to pick up a few items. I was a little dissapointed ar the high prices especially for the area they are located. They did have wic lables on a couple of vegeteble packs. I dont have wic but it appreciated them doing this.
They sell the best tortas!!
There prices in the meat section are reasonable and fresh.
Very racist... I would never shop there ever.
The store smells when you walk in. They do markdowns when the product is close to expiration date. Like breads, produce, dairy However if i ask a cashier to do a markdown she wont get someone for approval.
Great store may appear dirty but its because its old their products are very good in quality also their Torta shack in the back is amazing
If you havent been for their tortas and tacos, stop waiting, they will change your life.
This has to be one of the worst supermarkets I have been to. Their freezer constantly breaks down and you end up with freezer burn on your products. They leave expired food on shelves and think that it is okay to do as they mark down the price. They only carry basic food products, like people who live in the area do not want to eat healthy or have more exotic fare. I do not drive and that is why I shop here occasionally. I do not understand why anyone who drives shops here when there is a Food Lion, Harris Teeter, and Bi-Lo not too far away. also while I understand that the neighborhood is predominately Hispanic they could sell products from more widely known companies(i.e. Entenmanns, Little Debbie, Wonder).
Best tortas in this City!
I started buying my groceries here. This place have very good prices on their veggies and meat and great deals throught the store!!!! They sell food in the back which is already prepared. The tortas (subs) are really good!! The pollo a la plancha(grilled chicken) is my favorite!!! Yummy!! They are always really nice & help out when needed. This is definitely the place to shop!!
I order the breaded chicken without mayonase and tomatoes. It was soft and juicy. I also order a water made from the Leafs of Hamaica. Ordene una torta de Milanesa de pollo y estaba bien sabrosa.
Simple latino food grocery.
Check your cans expiration dates!!!!! Bought 7 Campbells cans and 5 were expired! Wth... Torta shop in back is amazing though.
Has the best variety
Excellent place, food its good, tortas are delicious!!
You get what you want but They are expensive
Its ok..really dont shop here anymore Its dark and I brought spoiled meat once from there so that was it for.me
