Dr. Karp of Audiology & Hearing Services of Charlotte is a compassionate, dedicated, highly trained and extraordinarily professional audiologist. The testing I underwent was very thorough as was her timely report of the results. Her explanations were clear, concise and comprehensible. She did not push any product or service, rather she waited for me to initiate the questions about what the next steps would be for me to improve my ability to hear.

Dr. Karp is amazing. She actually listens to her patients, and isnt dismissive of concerns like so many other doctors. My so was tested for APD here and its a very long test. Dr. Karp broke up the sessions and let him take breaks whenever he felt he needed to. She is incredibly kind, and patient. She also really knows her stuff! If you are concerned that your child might have APD, go see Dr. Karp, you will feel like family, and not just another number.

I would give Dr. Karp 10 stars if I could. After attending a loud Celtic music concert this past summer, my teenage son kept complaining that his ears were muffling and hurt. Eventually, he could no longer play jazz piano or listen to anything over a speaker. Two ENTs shrugged their shoulders and could not explain his condition. After three months and too much internet research, we thought he might have hyperacusis and found Dr. Karp on a list of select audiologists who could treat the condition. After testing him, Dr. Karp diagnosed my son with misaphonia and provided a protocol for him to follow to overcome the symptoms. Over the past few months, she has repeatedly responded to our multiple questions and concerns. Dr. Karp has been and continues to be the most competent and attentive medical professional I have ever found.
