First of all, this place is freaking awesome, Im so glad that I found Black Forest Motorsports for my VW CC 3.6 4motion modification.Secondly, thanks to the modification planning from Jason and his team, the stuff went flawless, although the rust delayed the time for a bit. After modification, as you can see from the picture, my car looks way nicer and the performance (suspension, horizontal tilt, etc.) made me almost think I got a new car. Awesome work and good price compare to many other places I have visited.Furthermore, unlike many other people into Motorsports (appearance-sport lol), Jason focus more on the performance of the car rather than simple looks, and thats exactly what I am looking for to deal with my car: I dont need fancy aerodynamic surroundings, but I do need powerful engine and stable suspension. Performance-oriented philosophy is the way to go in the current Motorsports trend. Also, I would say Jason is very honest about not putting useless parts on the car, unlike many other modification shops that recommend putting as much useless junk as possible.Lastly, I would highly recommend people who own European cars to Jasons shop to have regular maintenance and advanced modification. I wouldnt trust just anyone with a 34 year old original, but the recommendations I got proved true and Jason and Dale took extra car of the old Rabbit.Give them a shot.

I recently traded in my Audi for a non-luxury vehicle. The saddest part is that I wont be able to go to Jason and his team anymore! Jason is an awesome and honest mechanic with excellent customer service. He breaks things down in a way that is easy to understand and will even show you what he is talking about if you are not a car person. He provides you with honest opinions about repairs and costs, including what isnt really necessary and a variety of ways to approach issues.

Best place to take your Audi to for great service.

Took a few days to diagnose as they were very thorough. In the end no repairs were made seeing as we junked the car. Very friendly on the phone as well and gave a break down of parts/labor, and also was honest to tell me it wasnt worth doing the work as the cars value wasnt worth much to begin with. Honest guys and will return if needed.

Jason and crew have always done great work on my car. I come from Rochester so I end up waiting at a restaurant for the repairs to be made. They have always kept right on schedule and have never made empty promises. Well run, knowledgeable operation.

Examined my Mercedes, but were unable to make a specific diagnosis. Recommended I take it to the dealer, something I cant afford to do. They didnt charge me for their efforts and explained the issue to me in great detail. I would go back to them for something else.

I called Black Forst with an unusual request. I had just purchased an Audi R8 with an aftermarket Heffner twin turbo package already installed. The car had been sitting and had driveability issues such as surging idle, occasional stalling in traffic (not fun!) and running a little rough. The crew at Black Forest put a lot of energy into researching and diagnosing the issues, and were able to get the car running perfectly even though they had limited information and resources to work with related to the custom twin turbos. They also were extremely reasonable and fair, and if they werent honest, they could have easily tried to charge me for way more hours of labor. Bottom line, Black Forest Motorsport are smart, capable, reasonable, and very fair. I will continue to bring them my business.

READ THIS WHOLE REVIEW -- This entire store is a complete sham. They charged me $768 to chip my vehicle to make it have 380hp, its still at 300. I was told by the staff that my vehicle would run completely differently and more powerful and transform the car. No change whatsoever, its the same as when I brought it in. Same acceleration, everything. And tunes work, just these guys dont. I took it to roceuro and they did properly with renntech tune, which gave it 420 hp and its acceleration is blistering, at half the price than blackforest. I just got told a bunch of excuses from the guys are blackforest. Then, because I had some ammunition which was legal, in 10/30 magazines which are SAFE Act compliant, in the back of my vehicle, they called the police. THESE GUYS GO THROUGH YOUR CAR, SEARCH IT, AND IF THEY FIND ANYTHING THEY CALL THE POLICE. I got in no trouble, but its still annoying and unprofessional that they go through your private things. Im a paralegal and had sensitive documents for cases and they went right through it. I had an entire box of evidence in my trunk, they went through everything and will go through yours. Not to mention they rob the hell out of you without providing the services that you expect to be rendered. Dont get me started on the job they did on my brakes. My buddy recommended this place, now he hates it, and so do I. Dont go here, Im being honest, this place rips you the hell off. They screwed over my friend, they screwed my other friend, they screwed me. Blackforest will respond to this defending themselves but that doesnt change any facts -- if you have something to say to this post, REFUND ME MY $768 instead of make more excuses. Look at the their response below, its just going to be finger-pointing and excuses for robbing me. Doubt youll refund, since you rob for a living. Great staff and reasonable prices for getting European vehicles fixed

I stopped in here hoping to find a new mechanic for my Porsche 944 and Audi Allroad. I met Jeremy and the first available time slot was a couple weeks out, no problem, I make the appointment for the 944. I drop the car of with instructions to make a list of everything that vibrates/makes noise....the car is a 1988 so its probably going to be a long list but there were a some very easily identifiable noises like lifter ticking. Dropped the car of Wed night and decided to call the following Monday to see how things are going. I was told I would get a call back when the owner gets in. After nothing, I called the next day, was told the same thing, and again, nothing.The following morning I get a call from Jason. He tells me that Jeremy(his 944 guy) checked it out and that because of the age of the car most all of the bushings and rubber within the entire suspension should be addressed. I told him that if he thinks the noises are coming from my suspension then we are probably driving different cars. I tell him I am coming up to take him for a ride in it and he agrees. Before we leave the parking lot I point out the noise from the rear hatch, the exhaust rattle, the lifter ticking, etc. As we ride he hears the noise that has been haunting me for a while. I tell him you can hear it constantly if you take it up on the thruway. He thinks he can re-create it on the lift. The game plan is now to just address the 3 or 4 major noises and call it good for now.I wait and now Im in to the next week Monday (today). I get a voicemail that says they fixed the hatch for free just come get the car. Thats it? Youre arent even going to fix the others stuff we talked about? One month of wasted time in trade for adjusting hatch pins, thanks.BUT HERE IS THE BEST PART!!! about 20 minutes after I got the voicemail to come get my car my phone rings again and its 634-1200! I say hello? hello? HELLO?!! nothing, but I can hear them talking, I got pocket dialed! Then I hear a vigorous CLICK CLICK CLICKITY CLICKITY CLICK CLIK and then a voice saysYou broke it! The other voice yeah......these freakin Recarro seats.. yeah you broke it. Then the car gets raised up the lift as I can hear every time the saftey catches on the way up. I hung up wondering what they were going to tell the guy who now has a broken seat switch, sad.Edit: I read your response. Dont let your conscious get in the way of business because I didnt need any financial favors. I needed someone competent to fix my car............. and sadly still do.And the video thing is creepy.

I have received great service from Jason .. He and his team know imports. He has done custom items for me as well as mechanical on my 2008 335. He is always less exspensive than the dealer and they are always transparent on what the issues are and possible outcomes will be. Its tuff to find a guy you trust and blackforrest is that for me. Things that were supposed to be fixed- oil leak, window reguator, air conditioning, cooling problem, a intake error code! Oil leak was not fixed and got worse so I fixed one my self. Window regulator was not fixed properly and they broke a door panel that costs 100 bucks to replace. also the same problem happened a year later so took to a different shop and they said it was jerry rigged to work and it was never properly fixed! Air conditioner was supposed to be fixed but was not the ac compressor was bad and it totally broke a couple months later when it started to get warmer out and I turned it on and it blew fuses over and over took it to pinnacle automotive and had it fixed! Cooling problem was not fixed just band-Aided after a couple of moths driving I noticed a noises coming from front of engin bay then my fan belt ripped apart due to fan clutch and a pulley that was bad! The intake code was due to them not connecting the intake hoses before the mass airflow sensor and instead of fixing the ripped hose they put some sort of bonding on it and never connected my intake housing correctly so the air filter was crushed on one side and allowed dirt into my intake and ruined my mass air flow sensor. After replacing my mass airflow sensor I noticed the rips in the hoses and replaced them my self!!! I refused to let them repair some of the mistakes after they broke parts of my car for the second time and did not connect hoses! What happened to take pride in your work!!!!! Now I take my Bmw to a different shop! Btw if you call them to fix what they broke they never contact you back! Even the place I purchased the car from does not do business with them!

Best place in wny to take a European car

Brought my 2000 audi s4 here multiple times to get an inspection. They first two times they were great but I had a tune issue, since they couldnt get the inspection done they didnt charge me! Since I needed ecu work they reffered me to a shop out in rochester they does that it for less. Outstanding shop with knowledgeable mechs. I will be bringing my b5 s4 here for any issues I cant handle myself.

Ive had a mixed experience with Black Forest so far. My advice would be go to them if you want mechanical issues handled right, but dont expect the luxury experience.I went in after having a hell of a time with the local Audi dealer (see my review). It was a bit of a culture shock. Black Forest took me right away, which was awesome. But, theres no loaner, theres no shuttle and its a real garage.On the mechanical front - they fixed the hell outta my car. They took the time to figure out what might need to be done. This is no easy task since I bought my car used and I only drive about 8000 miles a year. But, based on my mileage, the year and dealer records they got it all figured out. They laid all the pricing out ahead of time. They took care of the scheduled service and did it well. When I pulled out of their driveway, my S5 was significantly quicker. Seriously.But - I think they might be selective. I brought it in for two things, scheduled service and a leak. On the way there I started hearing a thumping. Turned out I had the wrong lug nuts on my car. I brought in the right lug nuts, they swapped them out for free. They did the service - pretty standard charge. A little more than the dealer I think, but not by much. They figured out that the leak was the power steering pump, again at no charge, but they didnt fix it. They sent me home and said the company that handles my service contract never got back to them, so I should take my car home and theyll call me next week.2 weeks later - I called Black Forest back, they hadnt heard back and would call again and get back to me.4 weeks later - I called Black Forest again, they still hadnt heard back but theyll try again.6 weeks later - Whats the number again? Send it to us please.Ive dealt with Protective Asset Protection a lot over the last couple years. They have paid out like 200% more than Ive given them. I figured they must be done with me, so I gave them a call. There was no record of Black Forest ever calling them, so I was forced to get my issue fixed somewhere elseSo yeah - If I needed work on something that wasnt covered and I had a ride home, I would go back to Black Forest any day of the week. Until my service contract runs out though, Im going to have to go someplace else.

In Dec. 2012 we purchased a car which stated in the ad on craigslist all work was done by Black Forest Motorsport. it also stated in the ad all major cooling system parts were replaced and car was also inspected by black forest motorsports. the car in the few months I had it, I brought it back 6xs because the coolant light kept coming on. I was told each time, the problem was fixed...one time I didnt even leaving the parking lot before the light came on. but their was an underlying problem, just describing it to another mechanic he knew immediately the engine had major problems....how come they didnt know what was wrong? we went to black forest motorsports, we dealt directly with owner when we purchase car. he sold it to us he let us test drive It, all from black forest motor sport. I believe their was knowledge of the problem, I believe we were sold a defective car he wanted to get off his hands he only paid us a portion of our money back and also has car we are now out of a car and money. he never once stated he was representing some one else in a sale,

I cant say enough about the professionalism, quality, and character of the team at Black Forest. Jason and Michael were exceptionally responsive, accommodating, careful, and thorough. I took in a used VW I just bought for a post-purchase inspection and a timing belt, water pump, thermostat replacement. The estimate I received was clear and detailed. Prices were more than fair. Jason intuitively understood I was looking to check the essential mechanical condition of the car, less the cosmetic or superficial, and didnt charge more than was necessary. Responsibly recommended more cost-effective exhaust repairs elsewhere. He even made time for a preliminary listen of a suspension noise prior to my scheduled appointment. Very grateful for how he explained each issue--enough detail for someone not so experienced with cars to understand, not too much to confuse.
