Had a muffler problem. I was very impressed. I showed up and was out the door with my problem fixed in under an hour. I will go back. Most times going to a mechanic is a negative experience. Not this time.

I drove into Monro for an estimate on my muffler being replaced because it was loud and rattling. Tom was very nice, professional and prompt in getting my car onto the lift! (Like less than 5 minutes on arrival) Gus (August) was also friendly and professional while inspecting my car as well. They both found the problem and gave me great options without making me feel pressured or rushed. As a woman, it was just nice for someone to explain in black and white the problem and how to solve it! I felt no pressure and trusted their recommendations on my muffler and resonator. I would definitely recommend this place for services. Thanks again!!! Ill see you at the end of the month for sure for my inspection as well!

Excellent and kind! I made an appointment online (super easy) after I was unable to get my car into the dealership service department prior to making a road trip. I wasnt exactly sure what was causing the rattling but had suspected it might be the muffler. When I arrived, I told the gentleman the sound it was making and he put it up on the lift right away. I had made arrangements for a friend to pick me up but before my friend arrived, the gentleman came back and told me it was all set. It was the heat shield instead of the muffler. He didnt charge me for the clamp that was replaced and even when I offered to pay, he still declined. Said it was a simple fix and explained it to me (although I had no clue what all of it meant!). Good ethics. Didnt try to scam me or take advantage of my lack of knowledge. Kind and courteous. I will certainly go back for future work.

This place is a joke.. Do not go there. I went there since i had a flat tire. The person in there was extremely rude. They checked my tire and came up to me to say i drove with a flat tire for so long so my tire is gone i needed a new tire. I tried explaining them i did not even drive a mile with the flat tire. I have a pump at home so i had pumped it before driving it. He would not let me speak. He told me for the new tire i had to pay $200 and it was illegal to plug the tire. I denied service and said just put my tire back on. He was very pushy about getting a new tire and kept on telling why i had to leave. Basically they tried to scam me but could not. I took my car to mavis and they did the job for $30. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE

I am having my front rotors done as I write this. I paid $991 to have brakes, rotors, and pads replaced on my vehicle on 11/26/18. I had 38,017 miles on the car then. I took my vehicle there 8/5/20 for an inspection and of course they told me I need new rotors for $220. My mileage in my car is 47,268. I dont understand how I could need this work. I think Im more mad at myself for letting them do the work because I am the stereotypical woman that brings their car in and doesnt know anything about cars. I keep telling myself to stop coming to this place but I always go back and regret it. Im done. While the staff is friendly, I dont think thats worth going there and getting ripped off most of the times I go there.

They went out of their way to make sure I was able to get my inspection completed.

They found out why my car oil was leaking because Firestone didn’t put on the O ring on the oil filter! I’m grateful Monro Auto took care of my vehicle.

Monroe on Harlem is very good.. Came in this morning due to a check engine light.. My car was looked at and repaired in a decent timely fashion.. Steve took care of my car and the service was excellent.. You want something done right come to Monroe on Harlem and Walden.. Great service and Great customer service.. Happy Customer everytime

The manager Steve is awesome. Always a fast, no BS experience with them. They have never pushed me to do any extra work but always give me recommendations for the future.I’ve always been pleased with their work, their prices and how they treat myself and other customers I’ve run into in the shop.They do a wonderful job diagnosing any issue I’ve run into as well as fair prices for any routine maintenance I’ve needed.

Excellent first experience! Our tire was not keeping air in which was weird because it was a fairly new tire. We went to Monro Muffler on Harlem Rd for the first time because it was a nearby place that was actually open on a Sunday. Erick Conde gave us spectacular service. He greeted us right away, was very friendly, and worked quickly & efficiently. We were there only about 40 minutes. We had been needing to find a closer mechanic and weve found it. Well be going here from now on to see Erick.

Came in today because the bonnet (hood) on my SUV wouldnt stay latched and I panicked on the highway can that it would open at high speeds. There wasnt anything open on a Sunday except Monro. The gentleman on staff was knowledgeable and quickly repaired the latch and got us back on the road. He was so kind he didnt even charge us. We are very grateful for his assistance in making our trip safer!

Excellent customer service! I have been going to Mark for years between 3 different shops up to an hour and a half away because he is professional, courteous, and super helpful. I trust him to give me the best advice for repair of any of my vehicles issues. I religiously get my inspections done by Monro as I know I wont be lied to about the repairs needed. Nice people that work there and try very hard to have fast service. Did a great job. But it does need a bigger and cleaner waiting room.

I recently took my car in to Monro on Harlem Street to get it inspected. I also asked them to look at my tires (which I bought through them only a year prior) because one seems to always be flat. A few hours after dropping my car off I received a phone call that my car needed $980 worth of work in order for it to pass inspection. After letting my husband know he immediately called to inquire more about the work that needed to be done. Monro employees flat out lied to my husband about the work that needed to be done to pass inspection. The work that he claimed needed to be done to pass inspection was not necessary, aside from one tail light needing to be replaced. At that point he also promised photos of the car to back up his claims (lies). When we received the car back we noticed that all of my tire clips from one tire are now gone, my tire light is still on so work that wait was told was done was not and there were no pictures. Moral of the story... DO NOT GO HERE!! They will lie and take your money unnecessarily.

I came into the shop in a hurry due to a last minute work trip popping up, and the auto technician Justin C. had me in and out of the shop within half an hour! He was such a gentleman, and pretty much dropped what he was doing to help me out! Highly recommend this team!!! Great auto service and customer service!

I was on my way to Niagra falls with my family and my vehicle started to make a rattling noise. Called Monroe spoke to Steve. Got my vehicle in. Richard and Steve were excellent. Did not even charge me and fixed the heat sheet problem. So refreshing to see honest businesses and fantastic service.

Received great service from Austin Parham. My car was making a weird noise. I couldnt figure out what the problem was but Austin knew exactly what it was, how to fix it, and fixed it very quickly. I highly recommend him. Ask for Austin!

Had an appointment for 8am oil change, sat in the parking lot waiting noone was here. People didnt arrive until 10, yet the stores supposed to be open at 8am.

Juston Collier worked on my car in June and he did an outstanding job. I brought my car in for electrical issues and Mr. Collier really went above and beyond. I needed the car so I could get to work and he performed outstanding service while making sure that I got my car back on time. Not only did he help fix my car, but while he was working on it he also cleaned out the car, gave me an air freshener, and did all the little things that are so frequently over looked when you take your car to other mechanics now a days. Ill never take my car to anyone else.

I went in there on Sunday they had some people in there but I still felt like the only customer there! They were very knowledgeable from one mechanic to another they helped me out a lot went through all that was wrong and even lifted the car so I could see for myself, really made me miss my mechanic days, heard a lot of bad rep about this company and I was a skeptic too but after I went in there my mind was at ease knowing these guys where the ones takin care of my girl. Great staff, friendly service, just all around good people ! Will have my future business !!!!!

On my van’s way back to Michigan, we heard a terrible noise coming from the front of the van. We asked them to look at the van and they said it was the transmission slipping and that it would be safe to drive 6 more hours back to Michigan. We proceeded on our trip and about 20 minutes down the expressway, our tire flew off and rolled into the median. While they did check the van free of charge, our transmission was fine and the front left tire was our only issue. With me and 4 others in the vehicle, this mistake put all of our lives in danger. This is why I am giving this particular Monro a 1 Star.

I have come to love this Monro. At other Monros theyve not alway honest about what I need or what they find. This particular Monro has been forthright with me every time so far. I love that theyre open on Saturdays and Sundays. The assistant manager this last time, Austin if Im not mistaken, was courteous, articulate, efficient and acted as if he appreciates my business instead of treating me as if hes doing me a favor. I will happily continue to use this business and recommend it to friends.

Had an emergency tire repair that needed to be done after work to get home Mark was great really took care of us with no issues called on phone told us what time he would be there till and for us to bring it right after work and he would take care of it and Mark was good to his word he brought truck right in repaired the tire so we werent stuck it is very hard to find someone like him been to garages where they were more worried about getting out of there or tell you need this or that or tire cant be repaired thank you Mark you were very helpful

I love Monro! I was able to stack 3 coupons at once which I printed from their website. One was for a $17.99 oil change, $5 off a NYS inspection, and free flat repair. I was able to get all of that done for less than $40.A few days prior, I brought in one of my vehicles thats been off the road for awhile. The battery died in the parking lot when I went to talk to the clerk who was working, and one of the workers gladly came out to give me a jump. Great service and prices!

Steve the manager always makes sure that I get the most value as well as the best service possible. I have never had a bad experience at this shop and would recommend it to anyone.

Tech was very helpful and went over the car evaluation and suggestions on future work. Very friendly and knowledgeable.

I went in to this Monroe today to get my 2004 vehicle with 260,000+ miles inspected. The person called me a short while later to inform me that the vehicle failed inspection for the serpentine belt and stabilizer link and that it needed 2 new tires and to be aligned. Me, being the smart woman that I am and knowing that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle, told him that none of that was going to happen and that I would be in to pick it up in the afternoon. When my husband and I arrived it was still taken apart (4 hours later) because he was busy. The icing on the cake was that when my husband walked in all of a sudden the serpentine belt, tires and alignment were all just suggestions. So sometime between me walking in and my husband walking in 4 hours later we went from $700 in repairs to $100 in repairs. Im going to be that person and say that if you are a woman, dont even bother. Go to a reputable mechanic who wont take you for a ride just because they think you dont know what your talking about or wont question them.

Needed an inspection. Told them that my emergency brake cable needed to be repaired and my front passenger tire needed to be balanced. They hold me that I needed a new wheel barring but this was repaired 1 month prior to this appointment. There technicians though that the out of balance tire was a wheel barring issue but they where wrong. I told them what the problems where and they ignored me. They passed the vehicle after I paid for the new wheel barring but with the tire out of balance it still feels like the wheel barring needed to be replaced. There technicians are not experienced enough to trust. My emergency brake does not work and they pass it on the inspection. They are either criminals or inexperienced. I am extremely dissatisfied and would advise any one not to go to Monro Muffler Bake and Service if they want trust worthy service. I have over 15 years of experience with automotive technology and have degrees to prove what I know (I am currently a scientist) . I dont believe there technicians are ASE certified. There is usually only one person at there shop the is ASE certified and they are employing anyone for low wages and there doing a terrible job. I am also going to be contacting the Better Business Bureau. You can not pass a vehicle on a safety inspection if the emergency brake does not work. This is illegal and could cause injury or death to others. Be ware of this place!!!

Over charge for parts you don’t need. Run run run go anywhere but here trust me you will thank me later spent over 1500 during last summer getting my car fixed here went else where only to find out I didn’t need what they claimed I needed. Don’t trust that lady manager she runs the show she will smile in your face and pretend like she has your best interest when really all she going to do is stab you in your pocket. Get a second opinion I learned a very expensive lesson. Zero stars

I made an appointment recently for a simple NYS inspection, assuming it would only take about 15-30 minutes to complete. After 55 minutes, they finally had my vehicle ready. If I had not made the appointment, I wouldnt have minded the wait, but almost an hour for a simple inspection is a bit ridiculous. On a positive note, I was able to use a $5 off coupon, meaning only $16 for the inspection. Unfortunately, they will not be seeing my business any time soon.

I would give this location 0 stars if I could. I recently visited this location for a inspection out of convenience. I was failed for my windshield wipers, which were new and my struts and spring which I was told were completely gone/broken. I was quoted $1568 for the repairs to get my car to pass inspection. I had a bad feeling about the whole thing so I took my car to my regular mechanic and it passed without repair.

Got my oil changed about a week ago. A man named justin took care of me, he was very nice, fast and efficient. Will go back again!

Had a 130 appointment for a oil change, got out around 330 asked the guy to look up my drive card account when I first got there he said he dont know how to do it wasnt very friendly at all dont plan on going back to that location How can you run front desk if you dont know how to look up customer drive accounts. or was it you were just to lazy didnt want to be bothered
