This space is good for theatre and more acoustic sounding gigs... This venue doesnt have great acoustics fir a heavy or large set... The sound engineer, not sure if he is in house, but hes really not good and could not handle the large bands set up... The staff are lovely and for smaller bands this venue is a treat. They hold a lot of great shows introducing you to some of great Britains finest. The set up changes depending on whats going on. I like this element. Makes it flexible for different peourposes using the same space. Definitely grab a ticket and go see something here... Unless of course its a large band. In that case, wait to see the at a venue that can hold them.

Douglas way is full of life and character, with The Albany Theatre, across from Margaret McMillan Park, backing on to Deptford Market Yard, leading on to mainly pedestrianised Deptford High Street. There is a market here every Wednesday, Friday & Saturday. Especially lively with hustle, bustle, art, food, conversation, and free events on Saturdays and during school holidays.

Nice place to sit & have a coffee & cake (although I think they are bit pricey). They have a garden which is lovely in the summer. The Albany also put on plays & have a lot of activities for kids to get involved in. Nice place. You can even make an appointment to see your local MP.

This is one of the best childrens theater experiences my family and I had in London! Great, large, and well cared building, offering excellent production for children and adults. I was very impressed with the care the actors and staff had for the audience, proportioning a memorable experience. I have already recommended to all parents I know!

The Albany has its moments. Cafe is consistently poor but its a good place to meet people and is well used by community groups. The garden is lovely and my favourite thing about it.I have booked meeting rooms here for courses and they are very competitively priced but tend to suffer from external noise or airlessness. Not very comfortable. A bit utilitarian but for the price cant expect anything else. The theatre is great and has wide range if productions.

Great shows and staff. Lots of art based shows and things for kids to see and do, events, gigs and meetings. Very accessible to people with additional needs. And staff willing to help. Best bit was the garden especially in the summer for the community as good meeting place, picnics and children to play. Absolutely loved the chickens. Important as educational/teaching but calming and fun too. Very sad the fox got them. Wish they would get new ones especailly as they were rescue battery hens.

This used to be a community centre - not any more!No one from the local community comes in here, the garden which used to have a vegetable plot and a childrens Day care is massively overgrown and not usedNearly all of the small offices around the outside of the building which were filled with small local, artistic or community projects are empty. The theatre they put on is in the main mediocre tours, the community projects are minimal. What was a thriving local cafe went down the toilet at the insistence of non local trendies that it had to be vegetarian - goodbye famous Albany bacon butty. The inside where one would meet other locals of all classes and races is a bastion of the white upper middle class who have made their continued employment the only function - another sad, sad, clear enditement of 21st century London social cleansing
