So, its not really for walk-ins. You should check in ahead of time online, like making an appointment. Otherwise, you might be asked to come back in a couple of hours. I got a cut here a couple of months ago, and it was decent. The atmosphere is fun.

The staff was very friendly. Check in was quick and easy. My hairstylist, Christine, was easy to talk to and very knowledgeable about the products/hair. What stuck out to me the most was the cleanliness. Everything was organized - the floor was spotless. Great experience and would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Esther does some amazing work. Not only was she the first person to ever get me so blonde she also achieved the color I wanted. She is very professional and make sure she listens to her guest and explains what she is doing. As well as gave me a killer haircut. I had so many compliments

With long hair for a guy, its tough to find a place I trust to cut and style my hair. Bishops more than meets that qualification as stylist Jas provided an excellent haircut with friendly service and a smile. Great atmosphere, and a free beer with the service doesnt hurt. Will continue to frequent Bishops for my hair needs.

Very please with my cut and beard trim. Christines attention to detail is rare, and I Iiked how she communicated with me what she was doing throughout the process. The shape of my haircut from her is better than other cuts I have gotten before.

Had an amazing experience at the newly opened Bishops in Wicker Park. I enjoyed the layout of the shop, and the entire place had a great vibe. Im a bald dude, but Yoli took care of me with an awesome beard trim. Ive definitely found my new barbershop!

Great atmosphere and I was offered a free beer when I walked in the door so that was awesome. My wife and I both got taken care of and love our results. Rebecca was awesome and everyone there was very friendly and fun to be around. This is now mine and my wifes new spot.

Esther is amazing! My go-to colorist who has helped me with intense color correction and is an expert in blonde! She’s relatable, down to earth and explains everything in great detail. Love this convenient spot, especially the decor and comfy chairs!

NOT the place to go if you want a blowout or hairstyling. Took forever and my stylist did not even use any type of styling tool (curling iron, flat iron) on my hair! I literally paid $35 for someone to wash and dry my hair, which I could have done at home for free. Not worth my time or money. If you do not have stylists at your barbershop who are capable of providing clients with a blowout, then you should not advertise it as a service you provide!!!!

UPDATE: Unfortunately I’ve had a few not-so-great cuts since my last review. The stylist whose work I loved so much is no longer there. I’ve had two different stylists since then, and both did a decent fade, but neither really blended it into the always-uneven top. It’s frustrating because it’s the kind of thing you don’t notice til you get home and really look at it. I’m left pulling at long sections of my hair on top wondering where to go next. $40+ (including tip) seems steep for a cut I could get for under $20 at a great clips or supercuts.————————Im usually a Great Clips kind of guy. Ive tried a couple neighborhood spots, but they usually give off an exclusive, cliquey energy to anyone who isnt a regular. This was definitely not the case at Bishops.The friendly staff was great about managing expectations when the wait was a little longer than expected (pro tip: check in online on their website). Miesh gave me the smoothest fade Ive gotten in a loooong time, and I will most definitely be back.Thanks, Bishops!

This place is fantastic! I had a really bad phobia of getting my haircut after a terrible experience somewhere else. A year and a half later I come here and leave the most happiest Ive been about a cut in a long time!!! Go here! Its totally worth it!
