I visited this store one Saturday and quickly saw how bad the customer service is. A woman who worked there was clearly watching me while i shopped which obviously made me quite uncomfortable. Of course when i walked in, no one bothered to greet me even though both employees were right there. I’m a black woman in my 20’s and apparently they believe i must be a thief as well. I live in the neighborhood but i will definitely NOT be returning to this establishment.I believe it would be wise for you to learn to treat your customers better especially since your products are catered to the Black community.

While Im a firm believer in supporting local businesses in my neighborhood, I will NOT return to this store!!Around Noon yesterday I stopped in to make some purchases. Total cost would have been around $40.Upon entering the store, with my mask on, there was NOT ONE SINGLE CUSTOMER IN THE STORE!!I heard the female owner greet me. I NEVER seen her. The male owner standing behind the counter, never said a word. He was too focused on playing his game on his phone. The volume was loud enough for me to hear the game.Im disabled with limited walking mobility. I walk with a cane, and walk like a 90 year old, and walk like a recovering stroke patient. After walking half way through their store, and neither of them interested in offering assistance. While the store isnt huge, because of my walking mobility, it took me a good ten minutes to walk half way through the store in an attempt to find my items.Since the owners were much to busy doing absolutely NOTHING, I decided I would take my business elsewhere!!This was my first and last time to patronage this store. It would have been awesome if one of them could have taken the time to assist me in locating my needed items.Apparently they dont know what customer service is or the value of a customer, especially one that lives in the neighborhood, a few doors down. For any business, customer service should be even more important, especially right after the pandemic!!

Very friendly service. Had everything plus more that I needed. I just moved to the area from the Westside of Chicago, so I was extremely happy to find such a good beauty supply store up north.

Proprietor and wife were very helpful. Looking forward to my next visit.

Good place to get none essential things

They have really good roll on scents here for $3.99. the wig selection is not the best but itll do for a hair store all the way up north.

I have been knowing them for over 20 plus years. I used to work for that Walgreen on Broadway, which at the time was a Payless Shoe Store combined, with the Walgreens until they changed it to what it is now. I lived in the neighborhood, around the corner from them. I used to buy a lot of hair there. Now, I live on the Southside and I still take a trip there to see them. My son and his girlfriend, shop there as well. This location where they are now is the second location. The first location was on the corner of Broadway and Granville. So, yes my fam and me have a great track record with them. I love them.

Ive always had good experiences here - usually I go for convenience or just stop by on my way in/out of Granville Red Line stop which is literally next door. I dont know anything about wigs or extensions which they seem to have a great variety of but they have the basics of beauty supplies stores as well as some random things like granny carts, umbrellas, cheap shoes, etc. The owner, a Korean man and his wife are the only people Ive seen working here and I mostly converse with them in Korean but Ive heard them talk with customers pretty fluently in English.

The guy isnt that helpful he will just point in the direction of where the stuff is. They have a lot of good items though.

Its a little tight inside & I wish there was more variety but the lady who runs the place is very nice & if you ask her to get something for you shell do it.
