From the moment i became engaged I knew finding a wedding dress was going to be difficult. I am very picky, I wanted to be able to wear a bra and have sleeves. I knew I was getting married in Jamaica and long sleeves would just be way too hot so finding anything with short sleeves was a nightmare. The day I was shopping for wedding dresses Flora & Lane was last on our list of stops. I had not found anything I liked yet and Flora & Lane was my last hope. Luckily Catherine also does custom dresses. I was able to customize the dress of my dreams! And after Covid hit and our wedding was pushed back an entire year. Catherine was super accommodating and had my dress re-fitted right before we left. Working with her was wonderful! She is so kind and sweet and really pours her heart into making wedding gowns. If you like boho dresses I would definitely recommend her services! I only wish I was getting married again so i could go buy another dress!

I had the MOST incredible experience with Catherine at Flora and Lane. From the moment we stepped into the shop for the first time she was so friendly and sweet. She made me feel so calm and excited about picking out my dress! Although all the dresses were gorgeous, within half an hour or so I knew which one was mine because of Catherine’s knowledgeable guidance and help. I tried on a flower crown she had there to see what one looked like with my dress and she ended up giving it to me for free! A few months later I picked up my dress and it was absolutely perfect. No more alterations were needed. I felt beautiful on my wedding day because of Catherine’s incredible talent making my dress! Plus we got it for a better price than many chain wedding dress shops sell their dresses for but this dress was much better quality and way more unique! Thank you for everything Catherine!!!

Catherine was such a delight to work with and the final look was just perfect. She was able to customize my dress with sleeves and took the time to get every detail just right. Her dresses are all custom sewn to exact size so the fit and final look was perfect. She was able to complete my dress on a very tight timeline and even went.out of her way scheduling to meet me late after hours for a fitting. I would highly recommend this locally owned small business the whole experience was a complete 10/10.

The gals at Flora & Lane made all my dreams come true by making me the most perfect custom veil and garter! I was determined to have a garter with both turquoise and a horseshoe somehow incorporated and after search the internet and not finding anything I decided why not have one made!I also found a veil that I loved in a bridal store but it was 500$ and that just seemed ridiculous to pay that much for a simple piece of fabric without any frills or lace. That may fly with some people but not me! Since I had already planned on asking Flora & Lane to make my garter I had them recreate the over priced veil of my dreams and I got both for so so much less than any other bridal store and to top it off they are both custom for me and me alone! I definitely recommend having these small yet really meaningful and important pieces made just for you! Flora & Lane was so quick to reply and I am so pleased with the quality and price!

My experience working with Catherine at Flora and Lane was incredible from start to finish. All of her designs are breathtaking and unique and Catherine flawlessly created the dress of my dreams. Each visit was relaxed and enjoyable making the dress designing and alteration process truly fun and stress free! I looked at a ton of wedding dresses and couldnt find exactly what I wanted. Catherine at Flora and Lane listened to my ideas and created the dress I had been looking for but hadnt found anywhere else. I was so pleased with the elegance and simplicity of the final product and had numerous wedding guests asking where I had found my dress. The price was extremely reasonable and included tailoring. Catherine was so great. I was so nervous and didn’t know what exactly I wanted when I began shopping for my destination wedding dress. Flora and Lane gave me the dress of my dreams! Catherine is a dream to work with and has the most beautiful designs. She designs all the dresses and can even make custom designs (which I didnt do but so perfect if you need to!) Not only were the dresses amazing, Catherine was so kind and accommodating with everything. From the smallest changes to large changes! I recently had to cancel my wedding due to the pandemic, but still was planning an elopement before the big wedding make up date next year. I saw a dress on Flora & Lane’s Instagram and fell in love. I messaged them, and within one day I placed the order for a dress, including Alterations. They shipped it to me promptly, and it is SO perfect. Not only is the address perfect, but the customer service. Highly recommend!!!

I searched a very long time for my perfect dress and after several close calls at about 7 of Chicagos main bridal shops I found Catherine and Flora & Lane. She designed me a dress bringing together all the elements I loved from the others I tried. We had a few hiccups along the way but she solved every issue we had and the final gown was AMAZING!!! The dress itself was just brilliant value too. Highly recommended! Rather than buy from a shop come and DESIGN YOUR OWN!

Flora and Lane was the first store I went to to look for my dress. The space is adorable and Catherine is amazing. I brought my mom and sisters and Catherine made all of us feel at home. When you schedule your appointment you have the entire store to yourself. I really didnt have a great idea of what I was looking for but the very first dress Catherine recommended I try on was THE dress! I had other appointments scheduled for the day so wasnt ready to fully commit and Catherine was not pushy at all. I reached out to Catherine the next day to confirm that the dress I tried on was the one and a week later I went back to her store for my measurements and to talk about how to customize my dress. She makes all of the dresses specifically for the brides (included in the cost of the dress!). The price point for the dresses is great, Catherine is amazing, and the experience was unforgettable. If you are looking for a bohemian type wedding dress I would absolutely recommend Flora and Lane.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. I had a specific look that I wanted for my dress, Catherine was able to draw up a dream dress for me and I can’t wait for my first fitting. Highly suggest going to there boutique in Chicago, it was such a great bohemian style experience. Very reasonably priced as well, especially for a custom dress that no one else will have.

Best wedding dress shopping experience I could have ever hoped for! When I first got engaged and started looking at dresses, I DID NOT want to go to 30 different bridal shops just to have some lady tell me what I should try on. I had a very specific style in mind and found exactly what I was looking for on the Flora and Lane Instagram page. I LOVED being able to try the sample on at home and see if this was the fit I was going for. I fell in love with the dress and the staff that I worked with through email was so accommodating and in constant communication with me while my dress was being made to fit my measurements. I am so glad I stumbled upon Flora & Lane at the right time!! LADIES, this is the real deal! I had so much trouble finding the dress that I can say yes to. I fell in love with their dresses back in 2015 and has been a huge fan since. Catherine was super helpful during my visit to their studio (which is absolutely dreamy btw). It was spacious and loved the bohemian feel! I would say all of the dress were well priced. I went off of their signature design but added on custom features to my dress. For my second appointment, Catherine guided me in picking out a lace trim that I wanted and in taking measurements...overall, it was fun & memorable to be part of the creation of my wedding dress. The dress quality was lovely - both light, flowy and elegant. The only small change I would go back and make would be to add a longer train to the dress.Future brides - you are in good hands! Highly, highly recommended!
