Went here for a private THC event and loved it!! Would have taken more pictures but after eating and drinking my wifes portion and mine of THC infused snacks and CBD infused drinks my phone got put away rather quickly as I was happily buzzed. Nice size bar and dance floor with a hidden room in the back (thats where the free dabs were and they had a stundenglass gravity hookah if the dabs were too much and you wanted some weed instead). Great atmosphere, it wasnt hard to find cheap parking and the security was on point.
It was cool, the mixing DJ was good. I didnt care to much for the Mc who talked threw every song all song long. A good DJ doesnt need interference. But it was cool overall.
Such a fun place, very safe as far as Covid19 precautions. They disinfect between customers and do temperature checks. The drinks are amazing and the Rabbit Hole experience was so much fun! The decorations were so fun, cocktails were fun, and entertainment top notch. I would recommend this event and location.
Love The Atmosphere,Servers Are Amazing,Security Is Thorough & Friendly... The Patrons Are Chill Yet Energetic😁
I had a GREAT time!! The drinks were great and the Djs were beyond Awesome! My regular sundays are have now become Bassline Sundays!!
My first time. Socca in city was the event with blackman.Went with friend. DJs was good, had great time and it was lit. They were sold out, and parking was hard to find.
Nice afro club. Come casual dressed I would say.
I really enjoyed myself. Everyone was cool and the vibe was nice danced all night. I like the artwork inside too.
I love this place but the male security was a little weird and they are slow as hell. The dj petty for talking too much and stopping the music but he played good music. Overall it was a nice place to mingle and dance.
It was a great establishment, but the bartender who went by the nick name “Tooty” cheated more than half the guest on their bill. I ordered 2 drinks and paid $42 she charged me for drinks that others bought me and charged their tab as well mine so basically one drink went on two different tabs when we called her out on it she had to mention that she had been doing this for 12 years, does that mean she’s been cheating people for 12 years . I’m confused
I wanted to give this place 0 stars. HOWEVER the bartender tutu or tooty gave HORRIBLE services. drinks were overpriced and watered down and to top it off she overcharged me and tried to argue with me. how is she still a bartender? terrible customer service skills. not only did she do that to me, she did it to a few people in our group. never again.
Always enjoy myself when I go here drinks are good and friendly ppl
If youre 30 and up, go where youre used to going. $20 cover? Why to just have drinks? Im not used to paying to get in. Place is really nice and spacious though. Crowd is younger than Im used to.
Went to a private party at the top floor the venue was perfect however the bartender Tooty or TuTu from Engle wood was terrible. I ordered 1 Moscow mule she charged 15 dollars for it to be nasty and to be in a small plastic cup then did an open tab. Come back at the end of the night after being disappointed about my mule and she charged 112 dollars to my card and claimed that I was at her bar all night. CHECK THE CAMERAS! Bc I came once and did not return after tasting how nasty the drink was. How do you even mess up on a mule? Then argued with me before even giving my money back. Terrible bar tending services and terrible bartender in general
The night I went, they had great house music 🎶. The area around the place was very busy with that being said. Parking is a challenge.
Nice spot.. Cool neon decor. And live dj
Descent place where you can mingle and have fun.
People of the world people of Chicago people of any of the state come on have some good food some good drinks we love you all great place to be dont miss out be safe out there Samuel
Excellent place to see aspiring artist.
DJ DeeMoney was great at AfroFusion on Friday night. But do I really need to be at a club? 😏
BEAUTIFUL SECURE HAD A WONDERFUL EVENING
We had a fantastic time working with @bassline2239 and team. Look forward to doing many more events with them in the future. Our last VIP client absolutely loved the “Kardashian B&W filter”! #chicagovenue #eventplanning #chicagoeventplanner
Love this place the music is reggae afrobeats and RNB from the DJ to the security to the bartenders everybody is very courteous the drinks isnt too expensive the cover isnt too expensive and the crowd is wonderful
The price for entrance for such an establishment is ridiculous! Not worth it!
A experience like no other if youre looking for a melting pot of Jamaicans Africans and anything else you want to find you will find it at baseline with the music from the islands you wont go wrong
Great crowd nice staff and the karaoke, Wow good performances
Drinks and parking too expensive. Great place though
Please please get a elevator this place is too beautiful not to
It was a cool vibe of culture people and music I had a nice time
Parking too expensive and drinks to expensive and very rude staff
Had A Great experience and love the Atmosphere
Awesome dance club!
Nice place fun and beautiful people love it!!!
Itd definitely for a younger crowd
Attended my Cousins Engagement party. Very nice and room for small party.
Went to a party here. Nice space nice bar
[ NICE THUMPIN 👌 ATMOSPHERE ]
Boom Blakz was on point!
Love it💕....will be back🙌🙌💕🙌
The atmosphere was friendly. The DJ knew how to keep the floor full of happy dancers. The owner or manager was very courteous and polite. He mingled as well as helped do other tasks. The security personnel were professional and polite. The door staff was nice and informative and pleasant. It was Reggae Sunday, I will be back
The atmosphere was awesome. The DJ knew how to keep the floor full of dancers. The manager was very courteous. He mingled as well as helped do other tasks. The security personnel were Professional, hard to find like this . The door staff was nice and pleasant.
I liked the music because I went on soca night! The drinks were decent, Ive had better but they werent terrible either. The crowd wasnt as big as I expected and everyone that was there literally crowded the stage. The music was loud though so my friend and I had no problem with hearing etc we still had a great time. The staff was friendly for the most part. It was $25 to get in that night.
Club is small. No ventilation. Drinks are very expensive and weak
Such a great club
Its a very friendly🤝 place love the 🎼vibes in the place. i performed there with my group (Lake Shore dr ) and we got the place jumpin🎶☝🕺 look me up on ig* Duey_p.newton
So much fun
It was nice 👌
Bassline needs to get it together. We were some of the first people inside and grabbed a seat on the benches along side the club. We were told that if someone purchased a bottle, we would be told to move and would have to give up or seats. There are no other seats or stools inside. What happened to having a drink at the bar, then going to dance on the dance floor? The atmosphere and music was good, but drinks are way too expensive for me not to be able to sit down and enjoy it.
Ive always liked this place since I first went about two months ago. Definitely a fun environment. Strict security. So expect to get pat down every single time you enter the premises. Which is a good thing LOL. The staff seemed very attentive and observant. I had a great time. When I first got there, the guy told me how much the event was and proceeded to tell me that he was going to Pat me down. After all that good stuff happened, I went upstairs and there was a Ambiance of music and lights everywhere. A lot of people didnt show up initially, buzz and I grew more and more people began showing up. Overall I had a great time at the Baseline and I would definitely recommend going to anyone that wants a Taste of Chicago nightlife. As for me, I will definitely be going to the Baseline again.
Reggae Sundays are a great night to go. The DJ is bomb and the music goes on until like 5 min before they close. Yes, music is still playing beyond last call. Crowd 21-40 ish years old.
Great place for live entertainment. Compact and personal and reasonable drinks.. Artist can really get into their crowd here...
If the dj could have kept the rhythm, 5 stars. Good song selection, but you have to mix the songs together, if we have to stop dancing and re reach the beat, thats not a great transition. Clean bathrooms, courteous workers, definitely coming back.
Guy was the most amazing bartender. Charming, personable, and very savvy when it came to helping me with choice in drinks. My first time at the BASSLINE || 2239 was a delight. Ill definitely be back.
This was a great spot for a show. The performances were great, the stage was at a good height from the floor. There was enough room for the crowd and more. The staff from security to tickets to the bar were all really courteous and nice.
Love us some Baseline time. Afrofusion Saturday nights are terrific for dancing.
Great venue! Had my 50th birthday party there a few days ago. The management and staff were professional and courteous. My guests enjoyed it and remarked how nice of a facility it is. I definitely recommend it.
Cool place! Nice aesthetic, and a good drink selection. Bearded/bald barkeep could be a little more enthusiastic, and a little less snippy, but I wont let that take away from my review. I attended an event at Bassline recently, and hope to do another.
Great Venue, that has sophisticated style and the staff working the studio is amazing. I love the fact that your have so much open creative space that artists use for the purpose of their development! Check it out & record your next hit at PPR!
First time in this establishment on a Saturday night was lit and I truly enjoyed myself. Very roomy, and I just love the big, clean, washrooms. I will be back
Great place
I came to Chicago and my first time partying i was brought here for the Afrofusion party and it was lit. I have been here more than once and never disappointed.
The Beetlejuice pop up bar was amazing! Great place and good vibes.
Young crowd
Great venue with plenty of space to throw musically cultural events albeit without elevators or access for disabled patrons. Parking is scarce but its south loop so what would you expect. Leave early to catch a parking break. Love. Akobi.
Chile I came I danced for 3 hrs straight and left in utterly in beautiful plan. 😂😂🤣🤣🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️. The staff was friendly and the cocktail I had was nice.
Nice and safe...did not appreciate the overcharge for $11 drink..but over all nice
Paid $35 for the “house of beetlejuice” pop up bar that was super disappointing. It lacked any beetlejuice themed decorations! The only thing that went along with the theme were the names of specialty drinks, which were served in cheap plastic cups. There were no props or anything that warranted paying $35 to enter. No sign of any photo opportunities. There were only two bartenders who were extremely slow. Only a couple people were dressed as beetlejuice Characters, however I believe they were also customers. A complete waste of time and money! Plus.. the event ended at 10! SAD!
I had so much fun. The music was great. Drink service could be a little better, but overall, it was a good time.
Looked like a lot of fun. Not really the dancing to though.
Great place enjoyed the beetlejuice themed scavenger hunt great bartenders definitely recommend for Halloween date
Nice place to party and be at
Nice place to have fun ...I was there for the Afrofusion ..DJ dmoney..great guy..nice music ..drink prices ok. Staffs and bouncers very friendly. However you need to plan your parking, typical of S Michigan Ave parking ..street parking is a difficult task and expensive. The night I went there was this arranged valet parking in a construction lot beside the club. I paid unofficial $20 to some guys to park there. Overall ..a good down-to-earth club.
Real nice place laid back and comfy Im coming Back💯🤙
I worked a part on the third level, the stairs are steep as hell with no elevator, parking is terrible the parking lot is owned by thugs that are not connected to the club. They charged $60 for valet parking.
Friendly service, the vip section was not great. Good music.
Pros: Really nice event held at this cute and eccentric bar lounge in Chicago. Cons: Drinks were very expensive and used in small plastic cups for kiddy birthday parties.
Nice spot in Chicago if you are looking for something different.. especially on a sunday..
Its an o.k club decent music and women here
Music, Vibe, Atmosphere all Lively
It was very fun we had great music and great atmosphere. Everyone got alone well.
Sunday night reggae with DJ Ringo is a must see experience. Go kill some calories and get ready for a great new week :)
Fun! I will definitely be back next time I come to Chicago.
We enjoyed ourselves last night and to our surprise DeRay Davis showed up and showed the party love. Good vibes, great music besides them playing the same music twice or three times even. Okay drink prices but ridiculous door charges and coat fee. They tried charging 40 a person once DeRay showed up
