My friend and I are in town visiting for the weekend and found this place and it is SO good. I saw another review that said that to try the draft oat milk latte and it was life changing. My friend and I are already planning on going here every morning of our trip because it was so good. The staff was also incredibly nice and helpful.

Good coffee and friendly fast service.

The draft latte is about the best coffee drink Ive had. The ambiance is nice and the treats looked good (although I didnt have any). The service however was just short of hostile. Both the cashier as well as the barista barely acknowledged my presence, despite an initial hello on my part. Not a thank you or much else from either of them. Remember, there are plenty of other options for coffee, etc.

AWESOME COFFEE. Very much a coffee lovers place, no frills about the coffee. Dont ask for extras or specialty drinks. Straight up strong flavorful coffee.

Really great coffee!! I would encourage you to get the coffee with oat milk instead of whole or almond milk. They proportion is very well and it gives you a whole new, but familiar flavour!

The quarantine I know was not easy, but these people decided to change the brand of oat milk for their different coffees, bad decision Chobani is horrible, it changed the flavor of their old OatMilk Latte OatMilk Latte ☕️!!

If you are looking a franchise place to have a good coffee . This is the one! Pastries and service equally enjoyable.

It’s a different vibe from your usual coffee shop. A more relaxed atmosphere and great craftsmanship of woodwork for the design. It’s a good place to have a good conversation as people are not too occupied with their laptops and gadgets which is so common sight you see at other coffee shops. Great selection of coffee ot to complicated menu and coffee is actually awesome love my cortado! The staff was accommodating and friendly kudos!

I drove all my way downtown for this great coffee. Nitro Oat Milk is the best coffee I’ve had in a long time.

All the super annoying moms with their giant strollers and even more annoying children make it an uncomfortable place to hang out, but since they brew a solid cup of coffee I won’t remove any stars. You’re better off getting the coffee to-go so you don’t have to endure the patrons.

This is probably the best coffee selection in town. Each coffee box has precise descriptions of all the details of the process and the story of the bean. The interior is nice and the stuff is very friendly. Giving only 4 starts because of the cups: they all are broken. I somehow can’t make peace with the shabby chic style of mane places in town to serve coffee in broken cups. It may give the feeling the mug has a story, but i can hardly believe it is hygienic to use such things, plus, it is simply unpleasant to touch the mugs. I will definitely return to this place to buy the beans, but their mugs make me feel uncomfortable.

It was fairly crowded when I went, so I opted to take my coffee to go. The inside is sleek, they have lots of options, and my single origin pourover (pictured) was superior and worth the wait.

The oat milk draft latte was AMAZING! So rich, smooth, creamy with a hint of chocolate. Low calories and sugar. Love at first sip!

Iced Mocha, Nitro Lemon Coffee… what? Go for it!

Cute place that brings back the best in coffee shops: that cozy, warm, fireplace feeling. (Fireplaces not included).They shut off WiFi on the weekends and have minimal if any outlets- this is a place for conversation, not for work.

I have never been here before but they have a great variety of coffee so I came to pick up some for my boyfriend and see if it’s any good! I’m sure it will be. It’s a very lovely place.

La Colombe is my favorite coffee around Chicago. This location is no exception, great service, relaxed atmosphere and good coffee.

Their ☕ is always great and I recently tried their chocolate bars which are an awesome accompaniment to the coffee.

I had their vanilla bean latte and dark chocolate mocha. I was not very impressed with their coffee. It was very bland with a sprinkle of vanilla and dark chocolate, respectively.Their pastries are good though. Their chocolate chip cookie and their chocolate chip biscuit are good.Its also very expensive, so I probably wouldnt come here again.The gentleman who helped us was very nice though.

Try the Black and Tan - draft latte on top and cold brew on bottom. Great cafe to post up and read for a bit.

Best coffee shop in the area. The pastries are just okay but the coffee is the phenomenal. There are a lot of coffee varieties as well as bags to purchase to take home. The oat milk Black and Tan is my signature go to. It’s cold brew coffee topped with their oat milk draft latte. At only 50 calories it’s a good way to slow down, relax and escape into coffee lovers paradise. It’s like drinking a milkshake

Ive never met a La Colombe I didnt like, but I find this one to be exceptionally pretty inside! The coffee here is great, and what originally got me off Starbucks 6 years ago. You cant go wrong with anything in the menu, in my opinion, but I would HIGHLY recommend the drafts, especially the oat draft. To die for!!🙌 There arent many tables and its crowded, but there are plugs if you can land a table near one.

I truly hate to give this 2-star rating, because the staff was wonderful, efficient, and kind and the building is a gorgeous place to study! However, the coffee was absolutely disgusting. It had a sharp, vegetable flavor (I ordered a mocha, not a black Hawaiian roast, so that was not what I was expecting) and was as thick as pea soup! Lovely place for a snack and a chat, but do not order the coffee.

Such a friendly and professional staff! I love this cafe, super quaint and just tastefully simple. Try their OAT MILK LATTE on draft, its Amazing!!! I am obsessed, it is so creamy and truly delicious. Best Ive had in the city.

Wasnt too impressed my first time, but i liked it this second time around. latte with almond milk was quite nice as was the accompanying bear claw. ill be back around for a third visit.

Cool little spot not far from the DePaul LP campus. I had an american and a cheese danish with jam, it was so delicious! Ill definitely be back for when I need a place to study thats a little more uplifting than the campus library.

The coffee is excellent, the cold brew and lattes on tap, as well as the drip coffees. I just come in to buy beans to take home and to get a coffee while Im at it, but the tables seem great for coworking and meeting friends, and its never too loud.

I am officially in love with La Colombe coffee roasters gold coast location. The whole team that works there is absolutely amazing. As well as the coffee they creat.

So here’s the thing... I love the espresso flavor and since I drink decaf its all about the flavor and this shop has the best flavor espresso! However, this location also has the best employee of all the La Colombe locations I’ve visited ( and I have to say they are not so many friendly people working there especially one in Andersonville )I was so pleased that the guy remembered what i order even though this is not my frequent location, he step to the counter as I was ready to order with the girl at the register and ask me “Decaf Americano”? I was really wowed but I cannot remember his name. Very handsome young man with glasses ... great work! Thank you 🙏

I love how they open early and their spot on coffee making technique. As a European I can rarely find good coffee (espresso) in Chicago. Highly recommend. Needs more plants inside according to me 😊

Order taking process could use some checks and balances. Not taking names leaves someone wondering when their beverage will be up. Calling out orders instead of having an order print up leaves the chance someone will be waiting around for a drink that is never made.

Great little coffee shop in a trendy neighborhood. Good selection of coffee, espresso, etc and the cashier was very helpful. Kudos for laid back atmosphere and great background music.

My favorite mocha. Im allergic to caffeine and almost every place Ive gotten decaf versions of something it tastes like dirt but theirs is amazing.

Best coffee in the city imho. Even just a regular drip coffee is worth the trip. The red eye will wake you right up! Plus, I really appreciate that they have almond milk for those of us who need it!!

High quality coffee shop with a lot of character.I strictly drink espresso (With the exception of a Military Late from Swada) and have had shots at dozens of coffee shops in Chicago. La Colombe has amazing espresso, second only to Three Greens Market in River North.They have a couple locations and this one is definetely the classiest. Great place to stop whilst shopping around Armitage for a quick pick-me-up!

The coffee was excellent and the people making it show real character. The place was very busy the whole time I was there (almost 2 hours) which would normally off putting, but in this case it proved to me how popular the place was to sit down and enjoy the coffee.

Delicious. Im from Chicago, but the La Colombe I went to was in Beverly Hills, where I discovered their triple draft latte. Its amazing especially since it seems like all the local Starbucks have stopped carry nitro coffee. I go to this place all the time!

Sweetened draft latte was delicious! Coffee flavor is just strong enough without being sour or bitter! La Colombe is so far one of the only artisan coffeehouses Ive liked !

Cold brew coffee was good. Not many food options and the description of drinks could use a little more detail. Service was fine, although it seemed like a lot of tension between the workers.

All coffees and espresso drinks are unsweetened - so if you don’t like black coffee you might wants to skip. Also hard to find an outlet for laptops.They do have a draft coffee that is pretty tasty

As a former barista, I like to try out different coffee places around me. At my old job we used La Colombe coffee beans, and it was good. The store itself is very pretty to the eye, but the options and the prices dont add up. I like options and what we got was ok not worth the $12 we paid for 2 things.Overall it is a good coffee shop and brand, but the store at a packed time is less than welcoming and the slim options suggest a mpre niche customer base. Check it out though to try the coffee at least.

The latte at La Colombe is very good. Although they dont have internet and the space inside is not that big, quality of the coffee and snacks makes up for it. Although I havent tried that cold brews here, I believe they are good too.

I drank a cold coffee without sugar. I do not do black coffee with creme ever but their coffee was great so I drank it anyways.

Fun and bright atmosphere that offers a tasty coffee and tea selection with friendly/welcoming staff to go along with it. But if youre going there to study or work -- it can get pretty loud. Loud music which means louder conversations. Doesnt seem to bother most as its usually pretty busy.

Philadelphia chain, roasting & brewing some of the absolute best coffee in the city. Damn glad they moved into my neighborhood (check out their other places in Chicago). Bring your hotspot if you choose to work here...they have no wireless.
