My family and I went to the Nutella cafe per our daughters request. I didn’t anticipate the the food to be that great but we were pleasantly surprised. My daughters had the crepe and my husband had the croissant. The croissant was well made, buttery and flaky. The crepe was also well prepared and rivaled some of the best crepes we’ve had in Europe. The only downside was the wait. Not the duration but the line is managed outside with limited seating or covering. It was raining so we had to stand outside in the rain before being let in (due to limited capacity caused by the pandemic).
Yes, it is very pricey. And yes, if you come on a busy weekend with a good weather, you’re competing with tourists in a line—because they take these precautions to keep you safe in COVID times and minimize risk to their staff. But if you are a Nutella fan, you will enjoy every single bite :) there’s no denying that everything is fresh and delicious and absolutely packed with Nutella flavors.
This is a paradise for nutella lovers.Things you must try:Nutella GelatinoNutella biscuitsNutella cocoa hot/cold based on ur preference.Only thing I didn’t like about this store is always there will be a huge queue outside. Plan to spend at least 30 minutes standing in queue.I tried to order pickup online but in Uber eats I don’t see whole menu.I think Nutella guys have to find a better way to manage crowd. Either they have to create a new queue just for take out orders so that they can avoid huge queue outside their store. My daughter and wife love ice cream and specially Nutella so i definitely visit this place when ever we visit Chicago.
Nutella Cafe Chicago 😋 sounds yummy and it is. coming to this place there was a wait a long line (there always is) we waited outside for about 30 minutes a server came out to bring us a menu. coming in to the actual location we brought a stroller you must be aware it is NOT handicap accessible there is no ramp to get in the building. Coming in the wait was minimal less than 2 minutes to order. there are 3 separate locations within the store wear you can find seating i will say it is extremely limited and a tight squeeze. Service is good not polite but not rude they bring your food and leave asking for napkins will be challenging youll have to get up and get them your self. We ordered 4 cups of Nutella Gelato 😋 and a waffle. The flavor of the Gelato was good but extremely overwhelming 😫 with sugar so much that immediately I was thristy I needed water (it was good ) it was) but overwhelming for me. The waffle was good to wish it would of came with a small spoon full of ice-cream just to wash the taste of the egg batter down it was good to just not what I was expecting. over all we will came back in the winter for hot chocolate. one last thing it is baby friendly they do have high chairs for them which I liked.
For Nutella and not Nutella lovers, amazing food at reasonable prices per Chicago standard, good vibe and what I like to most is that you can actually personalize your own Nutella.Pro tip: if you are flying with carry on only and not documented baggage, then you are not allow to bring the Nutella inside the plane but.... you can just buy the sticker with the name for $2.5 bucks and paste it to the Nutella bottle when you get home, amazing gift from my perspective.
Seriously?!? A Nutella Cafe? As we were walking along Michigan Avenue, we came across this cafe.Upon walking in, we were greeted openly and possibly with a warm smile if not for having to wear a mask. Didn’t know what to expect food wise, as this was spontaneous. A nice size menu. Crepes, toast with Nutella on top, chia puddings, pastry, etc. We didn’t want anything heavy so we ordered fruit plate with Nutella dip. Yes, yes…could’ve went to grocery store to by a charge of Nutella and a variety of fruit to dip with fir the cost of a this but….when in Rome!It was yummy. And servers were friendly and checked to see if we were enjoying our fruit and dip. We sure did!
Me and my two sons went on Tuesday noon, there was a line to get in, even with empty tables outside and in. Took 10 minutes to get in and another 10 to place an order because system was down. Ordered some ice cream and croissant. Paid almost $20 so definitely over priced. It was nice to visit once but definitely wont be going back.
This was on our Chicago list so we waited in line. Line moved quickly and the service is good. The Nutella treats we ordered (one gelato and one crepe) were really good. Not getting the 5 stars because the Cafe needs a good cleaning. It was busy and they were working hard, but I wish I didnt feel grimy while sitting down at the table.
Loved the crepe! The banana was perfectly ripe and the sweetness was at optimal level! I have seen other crepe stores overload the sweetness but Nutella cafe has got the perfect balance
Recently, my family and I stopped over to this cafeteria, and we greatly loved the foods and drinks that we ordered. It was all delicious and satisfying. Besides, the waitress that entertained us at that time was very accommodating, nice, and careful. Honestly, we greatly love to spend our precious time in your cafeteria. It was clean, comfortable, and refreshing. Till next time!
I got the Nutella latte which was good. It cost $6.50.They also customize the logo to be your name, which costs $8. The line can build outside as they limit the number of people inside the store. We got there early around 9am and got in quickly. We thought it was cute and kitschy to check out, but I wouldnt go out of your way to come here unless youre a huge Nutella nut! Haha
It was comforting to see how much the safety of the staff, current and future guests are here.Beyond that the site was clean, Brandon was knowledgeable and friendly and made some great recommendations. We highly recommend popping in here for some guilty indulgence and get a custom nutella jar with your rare name on it in minutes for about $8.Wonderful!
So disappointed in the Nutella Cafe. When we passed by, there was always a line so one morning, we got there before opening —and found a line anyways. Once inside, the menu looked great until we saw the prices. We opted for croissants at $5 plus each. It seemed like they forgot the Nutella- there was barely any! The croissant was fresh and tasted like a croissant but most certainly not worth the money or the wait.
We went here for brunch on a Friday morning. Ordered the Liege Waffle with Nutella and Banana, Strawberries and Blueberries and a Grilled Banana Bread. Both the items were strictly okay. There was nothing special about it. Nutella fans will like it due to the heavy amount of Nutella thats spread on the items. I also had a Nutella Mocha Latte. It was by far the worst mocha Ive had in my life! It was closer to hot chocolate than a mocha. Its a tourist trap (and we fell for it). There are much better places around and Id recommend you look elsewhere.
Line was long but fast. Once inside, staff is very friendly. After paying cashier, you say if its for here or to go. Id get it to go so you get a bag if you dont eat it. Plenty of seats, inside or out. We sat at bar stools and watched chefs make crepes.
It took me 20 minutes to wait in line before coming in. It is the most minor problem I faced here. Im ok with waiting BUT nuttella dishes are overpriced crąp. Original desserts are the only food that you should buy here. It would be much better if I would stay at home without people with my croissants and Nutella from Costco. To compensate my money loss I took their chair, 1 plate, 3 spoons and 1 cup with me. It took me 20 minutes to wait in line before coming in. It is the most minor problem I faced here. Ok. Very bad quality of crepe. Low Nutella in the crepe, the crepe was raw high priced and over priced. Bad Customer service. The late “special” Nutella late honestly all I felt was the burned milk. Yeah the crepe was sweet and tasty but it has Nutella on it. I guess last time here for me. It’s special place for crepe Nutella and I had the worst Nutella crepe in my life for the highest price.
Dessert tastes great! Ambience is great! What sucks is that most of the workers were lazy and just standing around speaking. They create a huge line outside the store for no reason when they are not even taking orders or serving anyone.
Establishment is located on the northwest corner on Prudential Plaza. I went there on Tuesday around 1pm. Two people were dining in. Most orders placed were takeaway.Supposedly this is the only official Nutella Cafe in the world as told by the staff. The one in New York closed down.We were told to keep our masks on until our food was served.I ordered a crepe with strawberries and vanilla Gelato. Note that each topping will be a separate charge. The crepe was delicious, strawberries fresh and tart and the Gelato was very creamy.Place is small with a street dining level and a descending/dining check out area with merch on sale. I would say there in max 12 places to sit, mostly tables/stalls for two.You can get a personalized jar of nutella or a label. It has to be one word with a maximum of 11 characters. I opted for the label since I was traveling. Cost for the label was 3 dollars and was centered on a standard 8.5×11 clear sheet printed on a thermal printer.Would definitely recommend going there once and on a weekday as space is limited.
Long lines, gets busy especially on weekend. Check the menu while waiting in line, saves time. Prices are a little higher but its a fun place and kids love it. Food is definitely good.
Came here for my birthday and had the most amazing customer service! Everyone was extremely kind, helpful, and very welcoming. I felt like I was greeted by old friends. The cashier who helped us was Kristin and she was absolutely amazing. This is a most go hangout! Will be a frequent customer from now on!!
The place itself is amazing, food is delicious and their gelato is on another level especially with their Nutella biscuits however service isn’t so great. You have to wait in a huge line even if you want stuff to go. The line takes so long while they have open tables. If you only tell them that you want carry out items they still send you to the end of the line and the workers don’t let you inside so you have to wait outside. That was the only upsetting thing. I would give them 5 stars but service needs improvement.
The best restaurant ever Delicious Breakfast.Virginia was very helpful and very friendly, great service Would love to come back here.
Im in love with crepe and Nutella so it was absolutely amazing!! Love that place alot!!!
This place was only good for the ambience, location, and as a one time experience. There was long wait time to even enter the building. The cafe items were extremely overpriced for the taste and quality and were not worth the hefty price tag. Only come here if you really are a big Nutella lover and even then it’s only worth coming as a one time experience. We will not be visiting again as the prices are just simply unreasonable for the amount and quality of food you receive.
My review might be biased since I dont quite like chocolate. But my friends who like Nutella really liked it everything they ordered. I tired the creme brulee and it was great. Not overly infused with Nutella. Definitely recommend the creme brulee!
Super cool. She wanted to eat, drink and taste everything. The staff extremely friendly. Delicious!!! 🤤🤤🤤
The only downside is that it’s touristy so it’s almost always busy but if you go with that expectation and plan around it, you won’t be disappointed. Because it’s busy though, space can be limited. The food is incredible though... they have everything you could ever think of and more in relation to Nutella. The prices are even reasonable! If you’re planning a day downtown you might as well stop here for breakfast before you get started!
Omg.. I am in LOVE with this place! First time visiting Chicago and we noticed this cafe was in walking distance from our hotel so we gave it a try. We ordered the crepes with strawberries and vanilla gelato, the creme brulee and the fruit with greek yogurt bowl. Everything was so delicious! I was concerned about things being overly sweet but that wasnt an issue. Everything was so balanced and light.. The fresh berries definitely gave it the freshness it needed. Crepes were so delicious I ended up ordering more for delivery later for dinner dessert. Please bring a nutella cafe to northwest Florida!!
Super overrated!! If you are a tourist I guess it would be a nice experience. I went Friday morning and we waited about 30 minutes to get in. Once we ordered our food we sat down and were told as they brought out our food that they werent gluten free certified. Also the portion sizes are incredibly small for the price! If you are a person with appetite dont go here just make the food at home or go to any other breakfast place and ask for Nutella on it.
While they dont have a very large menu, the items they do have are really tasty and showcase a wide variety of ways to use Nutella! My favorite was the greek yogurt bowl! But even better then the food was the service. We were helped by a gentleman named Edgar who was amazing! He had such an in-depth knowledge of every menu item and was quick to recommend us items based on our tastes and diet needs. He was so pleasant and helpful the entire time we were at the cafe. Thank you the great experience!
Incredible staff! So friendly and attentive! My co-workers and I had a wonderful time! We look forward to coming here again! Steven and Miracle were wonderful! Great service would highly recommend visiting if you are in Chicago!
Great Nutella Experience - even for the Non-Nutella-LikerA confession first of all: Even as a german, im not a big fan of Nutella. So maybe this experience would be even better for Nutella-Spread-Addicts!Nonetheless we decided spontanous on a stroll through Chicago to have a little snack at the Nutella Cafe. According to and respecting all the Covid Hygiene rules we sat outdoors. The staff were also following the rules with masks and digital menu and so everything felt safe. My recommendation would be also to sit outdoors to see the people walking by and enjoy the scenerie. We ordered a large iced Nutella-Drizzle-Latte, the oatmeal and the chia hemp seed parfait. Everything was super fresh with berries and fruits, it tasted amazing, very sweet and was obviously packed with Nutella. So you really need a active sweet tooth - but then you are in Nutella-Heaven.Just that everything was wrapped in plastic - in times of an enviromental crisis, thats something that should be changed.Great Compliment to Andrea and Abigail, our servers, who were top of the game and also allowed and helped us to shoot some memory pictures inside of the cafe.Overall for a different experience in Chicago: clear recommendation!
The lady at the front door explains to me that this is the only one nutella cafe in the world, so i feel so surprised to come here .This is what I ordered, and it’s perfect because the weather is Litle bit raining outside, and i have hot chocolate and espresso and crepes so perfect..
We ordered online for pickup and it was ready on time even though there was a looong line outside!! The place was very clean and welcoming!!
A perfect stop for the Nutella lover! Everything on the menu has Nutella and the cafe is super cute inside.
The Nutella crepes were amazing with strawberries and Nutella Gelato! My daughter had the croissant and loved it. Fun and delicious!
It’s worth the wait!I had the nutella crepe and it was amazing. The staff are friendly and the store is very clean
So happy we finally were able to have our Nutella fix at this yummy Nutella Cafe. We were lucky we didn’t have to wait. Usually this cafe has lines out the door, we were there at the right time. Our waffles and crepes were perfect! Cecilia, the shift manager, was very sweet and welcoming. Customer service overall is superb. We will definitely be back! Thank you for the chat Cecilia!
The menu is good, it’s a bit crowded but worth the wait
Good place to satisfy your chocolate craving. My favorite item is The Nutella biscuits. The offer many options for you to enjoy your hot chocolate or coffee. It’s a little bit expensive but worth so give them a try.
I am really confused about the hype. The bananas foster was mushy and mediocre. The to-go takes forever (we just ordered the gelato) and they are unhappy with you if you dare to sit down while you’re waiting. It really wasn’t worth my time or money. I am really disappointed but may give it a second shot. Maybe the crepes are better.
Super Great Experience !! Miss Virginia take care for all our order !! This is a perfect Stop in Chicago for US !!! Thank you Nutella !!
My daughter fell in love with this place and of course I had to get her a personalized jar. However, when we were flying out, TSA said we couldnt it along. Of course she was heartbroken 💔
Good food and place. The waiting time is long
Super cute and unique cafe - I didnt know such a thing existed until we walked past. The staff was kind, but things were a little confusing. There are multiple menus, and multiple waiting lines that are not designated or organized (specifically the difference between indoor seating and to go). We immediately wanted to order the custom Nutella jars, but had to ask two different staff how to go about that because there is no sign and its not on the menu. We then just wrote the names on the back of a receipt the cashier handed us, and they were handed to us separate of our food - meaning we left with 5 separate bags. Overall, it was a positive experience, but better signage and advertising would be useful.
If you love Nutella, you will love this menu. Dine -in or take out. Attentive service, super friendly staff.
As others have said, this place WILL be busy when you go, so plan accordingly. However, the wait is usually like 20-30 minutes from what I saw.But its worth it for some carb staples covered in Nutella. I had the overnight oats and they were surprisingly good! There was plenty of Nutella and fruits to spice up the boring cup of oats.Crepes were also super good for the location.
Great experience! We had to wait about 30-40min. in line but, it was worth it. We love nutella and everything was delicious.
Crepes are good, the line and wait outside on inclement weather is worth it. The place is crazy busy, get your bite, drink your Nutella cold or hot or in ice cream, buy a Nutella with your name and leave this delicious tourist trap. I don’t think a local would go there. I recommend it but it has its flags. The funnest part if your table is next to the window is the face people make when they pass by this cafe, everyone has the same Nutella expression.
Always long line to get in and order I don’t see what all the fuss is about, is not all that. You pay around $6 for a crepe. Iced cocoa is not good.
