Really cool shop. Easy parking, super organized, extremely helpful and they carry a lot of smaller publishers others in the city dont.

I dont know how to explain my love for this store adequately. I just moved to Chicago from New York and it was on the tail end of the pandemic and obviously with the move and no interaction with people for a year tends to make someone lonely. Gryend House not only made me feel welcome like a patron but like a buddy, it was odd for a establishment to make me feel that so effortlessly. Everyone that works at Gryend were super friendly and helpful with the comics they showed me when I told them my interest.I cannot suggest this place enough to people, if youre wondering if this the comic shop you want to purchase your comics from than wonder no longer, this place is amazing!!!!!!

One of the best comic book and collectors shops around. The staff, especially Ronnie and Bobby, are very friendly and knowledgeable. They give you a feeling that they recommend from the heart and not so much from the wallet. Give them a try, theyre good people.

These guys were awesome. I took my niece and nephew in to check them out, they were super helpful and great with the kids. Even threw in some freebies for them! Inventory is awesome, tons of new stuff and a large selection of older stuff neatly sorted away. i was able to score some nice limited print variants! Definitely some good picks in there!. Glad they opened up, my new local spot! 👍

Shop was nicely setup and easy to navigate. Owners were a bit late to opening shop at proper time but did apologize.

Came in with a couple of friends to look around. The owner and his employee were very helpful and generous. There is a vast selection of comics, action figures, and other collectibles that would have any person geek out. I definitely will plan to come back again. Its an awesome place for sure!

Rob and Ron are officially my boys and my go to comic guys. They are extremely friendly and knowledgeable with the products. They handle your preorders with care and make sure to give you a heads up if the batch is no good (super honest). Gryend House Comics is definitely my weekly trip. I highly recommend.

A great comic book store just around the corner! All of the latest books are on display and they have back issues to fill the gaps in your collection, including silver-age goodies in nice condition. The owners add new, older books all the time and will help you find what you need. A fantastic newer comic book store to stop by. Plus they press old books to look their best! Just ask Ron.

At first glance, I assumed the selection of items would be pretty limited, but they manage to cram a LOT of books (including graphic novels, new releases, and a LOT of back issues) in every bit of space they can find. I found some pretty obscure stuff that I rarely expect to find in various comic shops, and they were all fairly priced. I did not get the cashiers name, but he was very friendly and helpful. Definitely will be coming back again!

Literally no downside to this small shop. Great people, great selections, great environment, great store. They dont just have comics. They have games, trading cards, figures, and more. Dont miss out.

I am an adult with 2 young boys, for the last couple months I stop into this shop weekly because it makes me feel like a kid again each time I’ve stepped in. But the thing that makes this store different than all others are the two guys behind the counter. They treat my son as if he was their kid brother, they answer all of his odd super hero questions, recommend titles that he’ll enjoy, and even started ordering more issues that are age appropriate for him on top of the amazing selection they have. Not all hero’s wear capes and these gents make that more apparent than ever!
